My family and I always come to integrity 1st to get our cars' state inspections done. Greg and his team at the independence location in central Plano are fantastic. They're easy to make an appointment with and service is quick. They usually have coupons online or in the valpack mailers to save you $$$. They're also located directly across from Tom thumb where you can go get your new sticker right after the inspections done. Super convenient. I like to bring my car in early (they own at 8am everyday) and wait for service in the lobby. There's free snacks, coffee, and drinks available. So I have gone here for a number of years now, but my most recent visit was just WOW! I've never had a bad experience here first off, but I just got a new car with an extended warranty and needed some work done. They worked absolutely great with the warranty company, and when they couldn't find a part my car needed in all of Texas, they found it in Oklahoma and had it there the next day. While the repairs took a little longer than planned, they provided me with complimentary Lyft rides to and from work to not disrupt my life!?!? We were in the market for a new mechanic after a terrible (like really terrible - life threatening, even) experience with our long-time mechanic. Sadness. I read a lot of reviews, both here in Yelp and (forgive me but this is the truth) in Nextdoor. Based on my research, I decided we'd give Integrity 1st a try. No regrets for sure! They were very clear about what they were doing and did exactly what I asked - not even doing additional things unless I asked them to do those as well. This is one of my pet peeves - I hate being upsold at a mechanics because often it's a sale merely because I don't know any better. The opposite was true here. I was in control and that gave me a lot of confidence. The manager and mechanic working on my car both went out of the way to talk to me and make me feel comfortable. I also liked the tech integration, bringing text reminders, scheduling and emailed work details that were easy to save to the files as well as share with my husband. A+++++ all the way around. I ve gone here multiple times for my inspections & they will tell you what you need to pass even before running the test giving you a chance to fix it beforehand. After bringing my car here when seeing a large leak beneath my car, they charged +$170 for a complete diagnostic. They came back saying I had a major issue and were gonna charge me +$1700 to fix it. (Rear main seal)Me thinking that it didn't make sense and that the issue could be simpler than what they thought, I got 2 other opinions which proved them wrong. Only a $100 fix and it ended up being what we asked them to check and they didn't which was the oil filter housing. Not saying this is an overall bad place by any means, but just a reminder for all to go get 2nd and 3rd opinions. read more

I took a 2007 Lexus RX350 in to have the passenger side axle removed and the one I bought installed. I have replaced axles of 4 of my cars. They charged $392 (before fees and tax) to remove the axle and install the one I had already bought from RockAuto for $72. Also, they said the towing to their location would be $60 using their preferred towing company. They charged me $85. No phone call to discuss the work. An email came with a link to a site with the amount for the work (the only part of the experience I appreciated). Still waiting for the work to be completed - 4 hours after the manager said it would be done. I won't be going back and I won't recommend them to anyone (obviously). read more

Waste of time and money. Dropped my car off and told them there was an issue with the transmission, 4 days later they tell me there's an issue with the transmission and they don't do repairs only total replacements. 4 days and a $170 "diagnostic fee" for them to tell me what I already told them was wrong with it. Called another shop and they were able to tell me in 30 seconds a quote for a replacement transmission and that repairs on my model aren't even possible because of how it's manufactured. Had a tow truck go to pick up my car from their shop and I called them to give them a heads up and that I'd be by later to pay the diagnostic fee, they said that was fine. Tow truck got there and they refused to release my car to them until the fee was paid, even though I'd called them 5 minutes prior and they didn't say it'd be an issue. Save yourself the trouble and go somewhere else. read more

Called at 3:23pm and was less than 5 mins away already driving there. They close at 4pm. They declined my business saying no time. When I drove by the bays were empty, no one working on vehicles. I went to Valvoline Express CARE on 3305 Coit near Parker. Had a great experience and was less expensive. Don't go really cheap on oil! Valvoline is a great brand. I drove again past Integrity and they were not closed yet at 3:45pm and still no cars. Express Care was fast and stays open til 6pm on Sat. Great guys at Express and would not even take a tip! Now that's integrity at Valvo. Express Care. Talk to Ron if you go. Maybe this place needs renaming? ;) read more

Incompetent business with zero standards. "Integrity Last" should be the slogan. 8 months ago my sons 2012 Infiniti G37 was brought in for a water pump replacement. The price I was quoted kept going up every time I talked to him as if they had no idea how or what the job required to begin with which I later discovered to be true. I came and picked up the car when I got the call it was ready only to make it about 30 feet out of the driveway before the car went into limp mode. It felt to me that the timing was off, so I brought it back where they kept it for 2 WEEKS trying to figure out what they screwed up. Got the call that it was ready again and when I asked what the issue was I got a "we're not sure but its running good now" response. I picked up the car and it was running normal for about 4 days, then my son said the car was getting hot again. We checked the fluids and topped off the antifreeze, which lasted about a week again before doing the same. At this point my son said he would rather continue to add water every week than for them to keep the car for weeks again when they didn't fix it correctly the first time or even again the second time. I didn't blame him since it was his only transportation to school and work. Well 3 months ago the car finally just completely left him stranded on the side of the highway and he had it towed to a different shop. After they evaluated it and saw that it was the water pump again, they recommended towing it back to Integrity since it was still under warranty so we did. After days and days of phone calls asking where we're at on getting this taking care of, I was sent an estimate for $13,000 for not only the water pump but also the transmission. I went into Integrity to talk to Lane about this and he said that they could not warranty the water pump due to my son putting distilled water in the radiator. Completely ridiculous! I kept my calm and had it towed to Infiniti, I had the mechanic pull it apart and document where the failure could have came from. During this it was discovered that not only were the O rings on the pump installed backwards, there was RTV sealant clogging the bank 1 phaser valve, not enough rtv in other spots allowing oil to seep through and noted that they had seen better work performed by shade tree mechanics. I sent all of this documentation to Lane on 11/11/23 in which he hasn't responded. This review will be my next step before getting my attorneys involved. read more

I went up here nervous to get my car reinspected after I was basically ripped off by an inspection shop who's name shall not be mentioned(starts with D ends with A), who failed me and charged me for "too dark of tint" and a gas cap issue that they didn't both to explain why it failed. I come to Integrity and what do you know my car passed everything. No issues whatsoever. I'm so beyond thankful! They were so kind and generous and got me taken care of literally immediately. Called for a price on a/c compressor replacement. Despite their website saying they have *transparent pricing* they wouldn't give a price on replacing the compressor. They wanted to run a diagnostic for close to $200 instead (we already know it needs a new compressor) and when asked again what their price would be for replacement they said "we don't play that game." Not sure what 'the game' is... my 16 year old just needs a price for his first car so he can budget for it. It's a shame since we could walk home from this shop, but there's plenty of shops close that had no problem giving a price... PepBoys, Firestone, Meineke, and City Garage all gave pricing which was transparent. read more

I stopped in because I had a damaged splash guard under my front bumper that was dragging on the road. I wanted someplace near my house and was thinking I would be fine if someone could just take it off since it seemed damaged beyond repair. Greg, the manager, patiently came out to the car and got on the ground with a flashlight looking at it from a prone position from end to end. He smiled and told me that if I was ok with it, he could just do a quick fix by drilling new holes and zip-tying the splash hard back to the bumper. He explained that the bumper bolts were all still good and this ought to work. And, he asked if I could leave it for about an hour and it would cost around $40(!). Had I taken it to a body shop, there's no question they would have tried to replace the part and it would have come to somewhere around my insurance deductible leaving me in a bind whether to file a claim or pay out of pocket. Not only did Greg and him team finish in 45 minutes, he only charged me $34. He said he would just replace the zip ties when I came in for an oil change (that's good salesmanship, too!) And, when I got into my car, I had a handwritten thank you note from my technician Nick. Frankly, I don't care if the fix doesn't work forever; Greg and his team's immediate care for my situation and effort to solve the problem efficiently and economically has won me as a customer (and I liked where I was going before). Choose these guys to get my state inspection because they had a $5 off coupon and had great reviews. Initially spoke to Lee, Sr. Sales Associate, who was kind and efficient in getting me set up. I later spoke to Greg, GM, who finished the transaction and let me know there were snacks, drinks and a massage chair in the back. I headed on back and was enjoying my massage when the lights were dimmed; don't know if this was an energy saving efficiency or some other issue but it was fantastic. No idea how long the inspection took because I was in heaven but it seemed pretty quick and even when it was done, Greg told me I could enjoy the chair longer if I wanted - sadly I had to head out to pick up the kids. The staff were kind and professional, I got a massage, snacks and a drink in a dimmed area AND I got a discount??? What more could a working mom ask for? Have taken our minivan for 2 synthetic oil changes. 1st was fine car-wise, but the invoice charged for extra oil, plus oil filter charge, contrary to coupon's language sounding like all was included. Extra oil is acceptable for minivan, but seriously extra for filter? Discussed with manager who suggested a higher discount for next visit, which I agreed to. Just had 2nd oil change which was also fine car-wise, however the discount from 1st visit ended up the same as current coupon - no biggie. No charges for extra oil, nor filter this time - nice. However their marketing poster (seen on way to restroom) contained 'BBB Accredited' logo, yet bbb.org ( https://www.bbb.org/us/tx/plano/profile/auto-repair/integrity-1st-automotive-0875-90621548 ) states *not* accredited. On Yelp, Kevin S. says business established 2006 ; however BBB says Business Started 9/15/2016. Why the 10-year difference? Last time I was in to have an oil change and repair, the mechanics at Integrity forgot to put a part back on my car, and my son only noticed it weeks later when replacing the air filter. Fortunately, it wasn't a critical part, but it took them a while to admit they "may" have done it, and then another couple weeks to find and order a replacement part and reinstall it. I was pretty happy with them before this incident. Cut to today -- I ran over to a local oil change place near my work at lunch as it was time, and when they went to remove the plug, it was completely stripped, and pieces of metal came out with the old oil. They told me I needed an entire oil pan because of the bolt being screwed on far too tight when last replaced. Integrity was the last service to change the oil. The shop today put in a temporary rubber plug so I could get the car to Plano and my current mechanic (after charging me $99 for a full synthetic oil change that will now go down the drain). This stripped plug will cost me around $800, including the useless oil change and a rental car for two days while another shop fixes this mess. I didn't even call to try to get my money back from them, considering how they acted when they lost the previous part. I'll just chalk this up to experience, but I will never return there. read more
