Crab, oyster, and fried plantains

The food was okay for the price. The food is average not good and not bad. They had sushi, a salad bar, Chinese food, seafood, and soups. The service was good, the waiter was attentive when someone needed something. The ambiance was pretty lonely maybe because I went at around 1pm to 3 pm. Overall it was okay, I will only go back if I am around the area and during lunch time.

It's been a while to come here for lunch! The New Year's promotion is $18.99 plus tax the whole day. Nice food and clean environment. Come here to fill your nutrition needs :)

Decided to give it a visit after a few years and it was the worst mistake I've ever made. The food wasn't as good as it was. Their food made me depressed and made me hate myself. I would rather eat poop than come here again. Considering that they have poop all over the toilets.

The brisket was only fat and thats all their was no good food everting was super cold

This location was recently named one of three LA area buffets in the top 150 in the country, based on Google reviews. I've been to a lot of buffets (Chinese and otherwise), and this was near the top, especially based on the price. We came about 30 minutes after its 11 am opening, and the place was already packed with a line waiting to get in. You pay first, getting water and soda cups at checkout (plates are plentiful near the buffet itself). Emmelyn was the check-in associate, and she was joyful and friendly, putting a smile on my wife's face after a stressful drive through LA traffic. We found out that my wife's lunch was free because it was her birthday. Lunch pricing is $15.19 (M-F), minus $1 for seniors and military. Refillable soda is $2.99. It's find your own seating, and we grabbed the first seats we could find. -- being super crowded meant the food was constantly being replenished and kept fresh. It also meant a lot of line (inadvertent) line cutting and careful, slow movements...need to be careful for sure. -- the taste of the food was good, mainly because most things were turning over quickly. However, the selection of dishes wasn't huge, and the soups didn't look too good. -- I focused on the sushi and was satisfied. They had different type simple rolls and nigiri, with soy sauce at each table. They also had a bottle of eel sauce to douse your rolls with more, if you want. Towards the end, discovered a New Zealand green mussel dish in a hot chili sauce, which I took full advantage of. -- the must get is the Mongolian Grill, which dominates the center of the restaurant. There were three types of sliced frozen meat (beef, chicken, pork), a variety of vegetables (including my favorite, baby corn), and various runny sauces that you pour on top when done. Once your bowl is complete, you need to give it to the operator. But here its a bit different: it operates on a unique system that I've only seen here. In the front counter, there are 20 spots where numbered pager sits. Once a person fills up a bowl with raw ingredients, they place it on the next available pager spot, taking the pager with them. Once the food is cooked, the pager goes off. You then exchange the bowl in your spot, with the pager...and the cycle continues. I asked myself what would happen if all 20 pagers were taken, and decided if that happened, you would have to wait since there would be no more space on the grill for your plate anyway. The system worked really well, with all three of us taking advantage of it. Taste wise, I've had better but certainly not for that price. And I just love the efficiency of it all. -- soft serve ice cream was available, and it was very thick and creamy (though a bit off in taste). My wife also mentioned that you can get cotton candy as well. -- Service was good, with an employee in a hostess outfit personally letting us know that she was there to assist us, including getting drinks. She did clear dishes when necessary, but also seemed to be supervising our section. What's interesting is that the same report mentioned King Buffet in Garden Grove, which now seems to be another branch of the Paradise chain. So need to be leery of such reports not being current...but in this case, following its suggestion paid off.

We were placed in a semi-private area. The restaurant had ample indoor seating and was fairly spacious to move around. If you've been to other Asian buffets, you'll know what to expect at reasonable prices. The Hits: - Fire-grilled BBQ station (steak, galbi (short ribs), pork belly, and squid) - Variety of sushi and rolls (average quality for the nigiri) - Dim sum options (popular items that get refilled regularly) - Desserts and fruits - 16 flavors of ice cream - Coffee and boba station The Misses (that I tried) - the orange chicken (flavor was off and bland) - fried chicken wings (looked good and crispy, but they were bland and had no seasoning) Service and staff were great. From taking drinks orders to clearing used plates, they were fairly attentive to everyone in the party. The food was refilled at decent times as well. There were plenty of seniors dining here since there's a special price for seniors. Reservations are recommended for large parties or peak dining times (dinner and weekends). This was our first time here, and it was a pleasant experience overall. It's a decent Asian buffet if you're in the area. A solid 3.5/5 rating.

The inside was spacious with lots of seating. Pay at the front and you're good to get started! Start the buffet with their slightly salted certified angus roast beef. A bit on the drier side but still okay! They have lots of proteins and vegetables from broccoli beef and bok choy stems to sichuan chicken, scallops, clams, salmon, shrimp, and beef cubes. Head to their fried foods section and you'll find pizza, sweet potatoes, sesame balls, egg tarts, and bbq chicken skewers. For soups, enjoy a spicy hot and sour, fish maw and imitation crab, or meat ball soup. They even have shu mai, taro buns, sticky red bean rice, and sticky mushroom rice. I love going to their customizable stir fry line and making my own fried udon with egg, pineapple, garlic, and mushrooms. They have lots of seafood, sushi, and sashimi too from rolls to seaweed salad, crab legs, and more! Need a sweet treat? Don't forget about their chocolate fountain with strawberries and marshmallows, popcorn machine, or chocolate and mango cream cups or cake bites. They even have a fungus soup dessert, lychee, oranges, pineapples, jello, banana pudding, and more! Thanks Kami for a great time. There's a solid variety of options, and you can definitely find something to satisfy whatever you're in the mood for. A few of the fruit and sushi items seemed like they may have been sitting out for a bit, which can happen at buffets, but there were still plenty of other choices to enjoy. The Mongolian grill wasn't running during my visit (I believe it's available during dinner hours), so that's something I'd be curious to try next time. The standout for me was actually the soups -- both the hot & sour soup and the miso soup were flavorful and comforting, and I ended up going back for more. Service was fine: nothing over-the-top, but attentive enough to keep things moving smoothly. All in all, it's a decent, no-frills buffet spot. I'd call it a solid 3-star experience, especially if you're nearby and craving variety in one place.

They also had dim sum like chicken feet! The sushi had rice that was well seasoned and not hard. The fish tasted fresh. My favorite dish was the steamed white fish with green onion and ginger. The clams were also fresh, but slightly sandy. The one thing I would never try again, though, is their tomato shrimp soup (it was like a sweet tomyum that was just weird) and their "cheesecake" that was a dried out sponge cake with a dried layer of cream cheese frosting. My friend and I were mid-meal when two staff members bussed nearby tables. While clearing leftover dishes, soup and food splatters splashed directly onto my face. I attempted to flag them down to ask them to work more carefully, yet they immediately wheeled their cart away without a single apology. We are both quiet, reserved people and chose not to chase them down at that moment. Later, nearly finished with our meal, we realized two skewers of chicken bone-in skewers we ordered had never arrived. We waved repeatedly to grab servers' attention, but one kept wiping the fridge, while two others stood chatting at the front counter and completely ignored all diners. When we finally caught one server, he did not check the kitchen at all and simply claimed our skewers were still being grilled. We waited another 20 minutes with no sign of our food, then stopped a different staff member to follow up--they vanished and never returned to update us. Another full 20 minutes passed before the skewers finally showed up. It is completely unreasonable for simple grilled skewers to take 40 minutes to prepare, especially when the restaurant was far from busy. The checkout process was the most frustrating part of our visit. We waved multiple times requesting our bill; two servers clearly saw us. A female staff told her male coworker to print checks for our table and the table in front of us, but he only delivered the bill to the other party and left ours unattended for ages. We even submitted a checkout request via their online ordering page and waved again to signal we were ready to pay. The front desk staff only gave us an OK hand gesture but took zero action. We were continuously overlooked for no apparent reason, while all staff stood around idle with no sense of urgency to assist guests. Fed up with waiting indefinitely, we walked over to the front counter to pay ourselves. As we approached, the staff tried to duck off to the kitchen or start random cleaning tasks to avoid handling our payment. The entire team lacks basic customer service training and common courtesy. The consistent disregard for diners, careless table bussing, massive food delays, and negligent checkout handling make this place not worth your time or money. Save yourself the hassle and pick a different spot.

Not the first time but very satisfied for our most recent visit here…read more It's been a while since we last ate here and we had family dinner as a party of 10, so we were given a private room with 3 hot pots. We had beef, lamb, and pork slices for hotpot which we ordered 5 each per order. We had two pots original and one spicy. The meat slices were very thin so cooking time wasn't long and we paired it with various sauces, so if you make a good sauce it'll be even better. The buffet selection definitely changed, there's more hot foods and they no longer have mini sausages. I do enjoy their char siu and their varieties. Staff were pretty attentive with making sure our tables are cleared and if we need more meat. Since we were in a private room, they still came by to check on us. Overall, I did enjoy this place and would come again! I think not everyone liked how thin the meat was sliced but I'm fine with it. Ice creams costs money as well.

I'm deeply disappointed with the decline in cleanliness and overall quality of this establishment…read moreover the years. What was once a delightful place to visit has steadily deteriorated, and my recent visit was the final straw. As someone who has worked in food service, I understand the significance of proper sanitation and food safety practices. What I witnessed was truly disturbing. Employees were wearing the same pair of gloves while performing various unrelated tasks without changing them. I observed staff handling dirty items, picking up debris from the floor, pushing dirty carts, touching shared surfaces, using their phones, and even making physical contact with one another all the while continuing to wear the same gloves when handling customer items. Gloves are designed to prevent contamination, not spread it. Wearing the same contaminated gloves throughout an entire shift defeats their purpose and creates serious cross-contamination. There seemed to be a complete lack of awareness of basic food safety standards. The dining area was equally disappointing. The menus were visibly greasy and oily, as if they hadn't been cleaned in ages. During slower periods, most restaurants take the opportunity to wipe down menus, sanitize surfaces, and maintain cleanliness throughout the establishment. Unfortunately, this wasn't the case here. The salad bar was in a state of disarray. Ingredients were scattered, vegetables were mixed into the wrong containers, and food was spilling over the sides. The entire area looked neglected and unorganized. Instead of appearing fresh and inviting, it looked messy and unsanitary. To add insult to injury, much of the dishware appeared dirty. Plates, bowls, and utensils had oily residue and didn't look properly cleaned before being put back into service. There's nothing more unsettling than wondering whether the dishes you're eating from are actually clean. Dining out should be a pleasant experience, but this establishment fell short on multiple fronts. The lack of sanitation practices, visible cross-contamination, dirty menus, messy food stations, and unclean dishware left me feeling disgusted rather than satisfied. Given this disappointing experience, I won't be returning. It's disheartening to witness such a noticeable decline in standards, and I hope management takes these concerns seriously to prevent any potential health risks.

They are true japanese style, so don't expect mala here, even the chili oil is a bit hidden on containers a bit away from the sauce bar. I tried the spicy beef broth, it has miso flavor and slightly tangy undertone. It has heat, but not spicy at all. The spicy pine sauce and wasabi ponzu (the best!) fulfills my search for heat in this place. All the sauces (except sesame sauce) has acidity/tangyness in it. The meat are good quality and very thin so it's ready in just a few dips. The brisket is fatty, and it's my favorite but only at this place thanks to the acidic profile that cuts through the rich fats. The short plate is very thin and tender, the flat iron steak is more lean. The chuck eye is kinda the middle ground. Unfortunately lamb only served as dinner menu. The vegetable and mushrooms bar have adequate variety, but they only have two kinds of tofu which is soft tofu and fried tofu pockets. No beancurds/tofu skin. They have more selection in seafood though. There's ice cream, soda fountain, green tea and black tea, and even buffet food like fried rice and wonton etc. Overall it's a well-priced hotpot for good quality ingredients, with japanese style broths. This time, we tried this place again and it's better! The food is still similar to all other buffets, but I think I prefer this place's chicken wings, baked mussels, bbq ribs, and beef stir fry. It is similar price range as other buffets ($20) and drinks are paid separate as usual. Refillable fountain drinks if you prefer but having water works too. The sushi is a hit or miss, I had great sushi rolls but other days it might have been sitting for too long. They refill their trays as food is getting less and I like that there's someone around to ask when they will bring a fresh batch. The tables are numbered so it's easy to know where we sit and where we have to go if it gets busy. Utensils are all plastic or one time use, no more checking if the forks are clean! The plates and bowls are still the reusable ones which is what I prefer for getting food. They have a popcorn machine (also a hit or miss in taste and freshness). For food: The crab legs are served cold and their butter is super yellow (it's most likely butter flavored oil). Bbq Ribs are good, served in single ribs, nice bbq flavor. Chicken skewers are still tender and flavorful, will keep having these! Chicken wings (fresh) are soooo juicy and crispy! They have chicken tenders but I didn't try them. No crab Rangoon or sesame balls unfortunately. Baked mussels taste just the same, great creamy sauce on chewy mussels. Coconut shrimp is fried with sweet creamy mayo sauce, it doesn't have coconut shredding so I love it. Beef stirfry is actually great, it had peppers and mushrooms, but the beef is tender (sometimes not so hit or miss). Ice cream is self serve scooped, they have a sign that it's $2.50 if anyone plans to take ice cream to go.
