Stopped at this nice coffee shop this morning with my husband! Very nice place to enjoy a nice coffee in the morning with plenty sitting areas with nice patio and dogs are welcome on the patio area. I got to try it out when in the area yesterday taking the coaster from the station. Very convenient located at the station across the parking lot. Plenty of parking on a Saturday morning, not sure how bad it is during the busy work week with everyone taking the train. It is located at the bottom of the apartment / condo complex, very easy to find. The open air layout was welcoming. I liked some of the signs they had hanging, the succulents, and the look and feel of the place. It seemed inviting and modern. The lady who helped us was very friendly and said hello and asked how she could help us. We ordered a hot chocolate, it was tasty, and an iced mocha. She gave us a warm mocha but we did not have time to have it corrected since the train was arriving in a few minutes but I am told it was very good as well, even though it was not iced. It is nicely decorated and there is plenty of seating and tables, and I think there might have been WiFi too. read more

Good looking coffee shop. But if you're looking for properly made coffee with correct proportions, this is not the spot. If you were looking for a bunch of different creative lattes that don't taste like coffee, then you'll be happy. I had the avocado toast with other fixings, and it was pretty good. The location and ambience was pretty good. Unfortunately, the barista has an attitude after being told the coffee she made wasn't good. There is a better way to approach the situation rather than rolling your eyes. read more

Very poor customer service! The young man and woman called out our food (we were the only ones there) did not bring it out to us. We tipped them prior to them providing our service and I understand it's not a restaurant but it's a common courtesy to walk a few steps and hand them to your customers. It was dead at the shop and they went back to being on their phones and eats pastries. Next while we were enjoying our meal another couple places an order then has a seat and they whisper their drinks are finished instead of just being a human being and walking 5 steps to give them their drinks. Maybe that's asking a lot, but having worked in the food industry have some pride in your work ethic. My intent is for management to help educate their staff to provide a welcoming experience, this is our home we can do better! read more

In the neighborhood and while walking my daughter to the train today, we stopped in for a bite. First, it's beautiful so we just paused to admire the copper seats and high tech coffee stuff. Seems everything is made here and it feels it. Warm and cozy, but today has this great breeze and we loved it. Nicole had the breakfast burrito and it's good size. Really good taste. Her cappuccino was perfect. The parfait was fresh and tasty. Our server? Barista ? Was Jamie and she was awesome!!! Have us a sample of a Italian gelato thing that is sooooo good. This is a cool little coffee spot located across the parking lot from the train station on the bottom floor of condominium or luxury apartment complex. It has an open patio where they serve coffees, espressos, teas, and some tasty bites. I had a cappuccino and some lox served on a multi-grain toast. The cappuccino was flavor but a little heavy on the foam. I don't mind the 1:2 espresso to milk ratio, but to much foam leaves me searching for espresso. I tried stirring it in and that helped a bit. The actual espresso was aggressive but flavorful. The lox was very tasty, but they need even up the toasting. The ends were on the burnt side which made for some crunchy toast. It was a good quality toast. The smoked salmon tasted great and had a good brine with slight smoky flavor, and a rich flavor and silky texture. The caper added a piquant flavor, the red onions were crisp, and the dill worked very well with the cold smoked salmon. The cream cheese, well was creamy! Good stuff. The staff members were great and informative. They also make breakfast and lunch croissants which looked great. This is a cool place to check when you are in the area. read more

This place is amazing. It's got a real warm on beyond very quiet, setting a great place to meet clients or have private conversations. The service is amazing people really do care about your experience. The cleanliness and the atmosphere couldn't possibly be any better from the small coffee shop I didn't have any of the food but I'm sure it's really good, I saw some really edible snacks in there. I got a dirty chai tea latte and it was good! I've never had one so I don't have anything to compare it to, but I was excited to try something new! It was sweet with almost a spicy after taste. My bf got a regular iced coffee and that was amazing! For being just drip with some milk it was probably one of the best iced coffees I've had. The vibe is really cute, it's sort of industrial and tucked away in a work-live area it looks like. The prices are fair, 2 iced coffees for $7. Better than Starbucks though! They also provide wifi. Wow. First things first, the espresso tastes like you're in Rome. It's perfect. I am also in love with their food. Everything is so good. Prosciutto sub. Tuna sandwich. Breakfast croissant sandwich. All were delicious. Add to that wonderful service, and you've got the best cafe I think I may have ever been to. The ladies working today made me sandwich with only 5 min left to stay open, and I felt so bad, but they didn't cut any corners and made everything perfect, and with a smile. So nice. My husband and I, and all of our guests, love our little community cafe. Having owned a coffee farm, I am a bit of a coffee snob, and I actually like the coffee they serve here. I enjoy the low-key buzz vibe that is typical. Enough to feel like you've gotten a dose of people but low-key enough that it's not overwhelming, loud or impossible to concentrate. The staff are all very friendly, polite and accommodating. I do wish that there were more menu options, in terms of drinks, or more seasonal drink offerings because I get a little bored. This is a cute sort of hidden coffee shop. They say they want a vine of visiting with friends and enjoying coffee and they have achieved just that. Whenever o go there always seems to be a group of friends meeting to catch up. Baristas are friendly and will make a drink recommendation if you aren't sure what to get. Best Americano I've ever had. I'm not one for fancy sweet drinks, so either coffee or Americano is my goto. This one was perfect.

My wife loves this shop, so we came early for a coffee before work. Sadly they make one sweet girl open the shop alone. I used to work at a shop just like this one and am grateful I never had to open alone. They lost two customers in the time I was there because of one person trying ti get drinks and food out in a timely manner. Such an amazing outdoor cafe! The place is designed so uniquely... the walls are hydraulic wide doors that lift up and allow the place to be outdoors so people can enjoy the beautiful weather and sunshine that Carlsbad provides! I love it. There is tons of outdoor seating since it's located on a Live/Work property and next to Common Grounds, a communal workspace. The espresso is so smooth and delicious... I can't even enjoy Starbucks anymore... and their food is just perfect for a healthy light lunch or snack. My favorite is Lox Toast with avocado. The vibe around the cafe is lively and everyone is meeting outdoors and enjoying the San Diego sunshine. The baristas are super friendly and accommodating. I've being there twice, since recently moving to Carlsbad. My first visit the only person working was a young woman. She took my order, took my cash, said goodby to a customer she knew by shaking his hand, made my food and coffee without wearing a mask and never washed her hands. My second visit, there were three young people inside. They were over ten minutes late to open. None wore mask and one of them sneezed on the counter. He never cleaned the counter or washed his hands. Apparently their all either unaware of the current pandemic or simply don't give a damn about their customers health. read more

Been here a few times for coffee and tea before my daughter's swim lessons around the corner. They are in no rush to get you your order and we end up rushing out the door to get to the swim lessons. The associates are chatting it up with one another, doesn't take notice of customers' orders and seem like they are on Hawaiian time. Food when ordered, are sometimes cold and have heard customers complain about the same issue. It's unfortunate because this place is pretty and looks like it could be a cool place to hang out. I called this place to make sure their outside seating was open before coming. The young lady on the phone was very kind and reassured me they're open and outside seating is available. When I arrived, the store was clean and organized. One of the employees looked cheerful and said good morning when I came in. However I did notice the employees were not wearing masks. It did not bother me so much as the place looked recently sanitized, but you can always ask them how recently they sanitized the place. Okay onto the coffee. I'm not a huge coffee drinker, but I ordered a hot macchiato and asked for a drizzle of caramel on top. They did not mind accommodating me and were very friendly about it. Needless to say, the machiatto was delicious. Would definitely come again just be mindful they are not required to wear masks as it is an "outside venue". What a wonderful discovery of a true coffee shop :) We were in town for the weekend, away from our usual spots and took a chance on this spot. I must say when your use to your regular spots, you have in mind a certain standard.. This place had surpassed every benchmark possible. Ordered: iced vanilla latte, avocado toast and salmon toast The coffee was creamy, rich yet still the coffee notes were prevalent and not hidden in 'fake sugars' - delicious! Both toasts were also filling, as they were not shy with the toppings. Very generous portions and perfect meals to start the day. Super cool little coffee shop in the same parking lot as the train station! Very random location but great outside seating area and free wifi. Their regular coffee is Lavazza - which I love. I had an iced mocha today which the barista recommended. Light on the chocolate and it was perfect! Rich but not too sweet! We also sampled the Crema Café which is INSANLEY good! It's basically frozen coffee ice cream and you can add Nutella if you want. In the summer this will be my afternoon go to! My mouth is watering as I type this just thinking about it... My sister and I visited for the first time yesterday December 7, 2021. I was visiting from out of state and on my way to the airport we decided to stop for breakfast and coffee. My sister ordered the peppermint mocha and I had the breakfast egg croissant and asked if they made "flat whites". They quickly said yes and I was thrilled because it wasn't on their menu. Well I am so pleased to report that the vanilla flat white I ordered was truly the best I have ever had! Smooth, not to sweet it was PERFECT! My sandwich was so delicious and fresh! I am sad they do not have one near me in Texas but I look forward to coming back when I'm there. My sister is already talking about who she is going to take over there to have coffee!
