My husband and I could not be more excited that this restaurant has re-opened! This is the most authentic, delicious Vietnamese food you can get in Cincinnati! And we definitely know Vietnamese food, being that we are both Vietnamese and from socal, the mecca of Viet food outside of Vietnam. I routinely order the bun bo hue because this is the ONLY place in Cincinnati that gets the flavoring even close to right. The broth is flavorful and perfectly balanced with lemongrass and spices. They provide generous portions of meat and the garnishes are great (given what is actually available in the area). My husband loves their pho which always comes out steaming hot with lots of meat and the perfected aroma of star anise and coriander. Trust me, you will not be disappointed. Of note, the staff is limited as it is family-owned (contributing to its authenticity and stellar cooking) but they are incredibly nice and do not slack off. Do not be scared away by the simple furnishings inside the restaurant. If you truly understand good ethnic food, you would know that the best food comes from "hole-in-wall" places. Also for the adventurous- try the durian smoothie, it's one of our favorites (avocado is a close second). read more

As recent transplants from out of state, we were delighted to find this restaurant. The pho here is more than comparable to some of the better places in Los Angeles and Houston. We had their beef pho and bun bo hue, both Vietnamese staples. The broth tastes fresh, the meat is properly prepared (thinly shaved and served raw but "cooked" with boiling broth). After a string of disappointments in the Cincinnati area, we are overjoyed to be able to find our go-to place for pho. The service is fast, the food is good, and that's pretty much all you can ask for in a restaurant. Some additional notes: Their menu is very focused but prices are great. YUM! First time here and I had to try the pho with rare beef after reading the reviews. Spot on!!! Beautiful broth, fresh veggies, nice rare beef. I went on a weekday after the lunch rush, so no wait. Service was fast and friendly. The only reason I deducted a star was I asked whether the food had msg. Food was truly excellent here- but ambiance and service knocks my review down to 3 stars for iPho. On a day off over the holidays we decided to check this place out after not having Vietnamese food for a couple of years (and after some Yelp recommendations). Probably wouldn't notice it off the street- it sits back off the road in an unassuming strip mall, and unfortunately when you walk in it's still like you are in a strip mall. Bare walls save for a few sparsely placed paintings, no personality whatsoever. Service leaves MUCH to be desired. Server brought us water and took our order, then had to flag him down for the check and that's about the only time we saw him. Table next to us (one of 3 in the whole place, including us) had to flag him down after sitting for 10+ minutes with no service. The food however- redeems this place big time. We had the spring rolls to start which were great, and (forgive me because I can't remember the Vietnamese name of the dish) I had a dish with glass noodles and pork- the pork was SO delicious- amazing flavor and a great dish that kept me full all day. My hubby seemed to enjoy his lunch (same dish but with beef) just as much as I did mine. Food was good enough for me to return again for takeout or maybe lunch but I want a better experience for my money than iPho has to offer. read more

As a lover of Pho, I am so glad this restaurant has opened up! Now there is no need to treck down to Clifton or Findlay Market to satisfy a craving for Vietnamese. On a cold day, the Pho here really hit the spot. The meat in their Pho seemed very high quality, and the herbs that accompany it were very fresh. The interior has a clean, simple design. Good solid Viet lunch experience. Shrimp filled spring rolls for a starting app were perfectly assembled and exquisite (7.00 for 2). My lunch was beef lemongrass over vermicelli; wife had roast pork over vermicelli, and we both loved the dishes. Meats are thinly shaved and nicely caramelized. Wait staff on a recent weekday was one young guy who appeared to be related to owners and needs some skillset polishing; one family had to call him out on lack of attention: only 3 tables occupied including them (who he'd seated personally) and he ignored them completely for 5-8 minutes. Lame effort... Bottom line: food was very good and ours was served quickly. However, the service was weak, and interior is SO boring and needs serious attention. If the owners would invest with white cloths on tables, some interesting art or objects on their walls, and get the place squeaky clean (more attractive overall), I'll give it 4 stars and return quickly. I just went here for the fist time for lunch today. I have been very excited for this place to open and I am very happy to say that it was worth the wait. The restaurant is simply decorated. Very clean. The menu was pretty simple as well but it consists of a lot of different options. I ordered the pho tai. It was really good and they give you a lot of garnish on the side for your pho. I also ordered Vietnamese coffee with condensed milk. It was really good as well. My bill ended up being about $12. I will be recommending this place. read more

The ambiance isn't great and it has a kind of cheesy name, but iPho makes up for it with the taste of their food. We came in on a Saturday for lunch and had the Pho Tai (Beef Pho), the Bahn Xeo (Vietnamese crepe), and a rice dish with beef. The rice dish with beef was great because of how well the beef was marinated. The Vietnamese crepe was gigantic and tasty, and the Pho had a very nice broth. We enjoyed everything. Thin cut grilled pork with plenty of carmelization. She said it reminded her of the street food we've had in Saigon, Vietnam (this is a good thing) My only real complaint is it is a bit grungy. By far my favorite pho in the area. It reminds me of pho I can find at home. Their menu was pretty extensive for Vietnamese around here and not just the very standard vermicelli noodles or bahn mi. I rarely see rice and meat dishes at the Vietnamese restaurants I've been to in Cinci so it was nice to see since I do like ordering them occasionally. We got the summer rolls (I think). Standard. Coming from a Vietnamese background, I was hopeful, but this place was Not good at all. I had the shrimp vermicelli. The shrimp was way too salty and it did not taste fresh. The pho was mediocre. I know of only two Vietnamese restaurants in the area, one at Finley Market and the other in Symnes Township on Montgomery Road. Both are great but I most frequently visit the one in Symnes Township. I consider IPho the better of the two. Both are excellent but IPho is an all family operation with attention to fresh ingredients, great service and outstanding value. My wife and I have consistently received wonderful food; everything on the menu is delicious. read more
