I had a small fender bender with my vehicle and was referred to jeff shop for repair. Before having my vehicle towed to Jeff's shop, Inspected the damage, and came to the conclusion that it needed a tie rod, intercooler, front bumper and a fender, and the vehicle did not have any check engine light, turned on, and would drive, but it was slight tire wobble. I had my car towed to IG Autoworks and I didn't hear back from them for almost a year. I was concerned as to why I did not receive a quote or any kind of contact from IQ Autoworks. I decided to give them a call and inquire about my vehicle, and was connected to Jeff, the owner of the shop. I explained that I had a vehicle towed to his shop and that I had never received a quote, and that It has been about a year without receiving any kind of communication from IQ Autoworks. Jeff stated that the contact information must have gotten misplaced or that the tow company possibly had forgotten to attach it to the invoice And that the vehicle had not been worked on.. I expressed that because it has been a year and I Had not been quoted, that I would much rather just have the vehicle towed to my residence and that I would do the repairs myself, that the vehicle only needed a few parts that could be ordered online or found at a partslot. He offered to give me a quote on what the repairs would cost to have it done at his shop, And I informed him that if it was going to cost more then two or three thousand that I would just do the repairs myself. He said to give him a day to look at the car and be able to produce me a rough quote on the repair. A few days passed and I did not receive a response from IQ Autoworks, and chose to give them another call. my call was transfered to jeff and was able to speak with him, was quoted 7500 for a whole brand new front end. which i felt was outragiously overpriced for an intercooler and a tie rod. I declined, and had a tow truck pick the vehicle up. when the tow truck dropped my vehicle off I was shocked, the whole front end was unbolted, the radiator had been removed the connector cut off instead of disconnected, the megatronic power suplly relay missing, the power distribution unit or Fusible liknks where burnt out, amd a different oil filter was on my car then what the car had when it was sent there. and to make matters worse all of the bolts where in onie bucket. read more

Great place to get your car fixed. I brought in my 2003 Range Rover, it had some stability issues (wobbles left and rigth) and engine light warnings. Jeff diagnosed the problem and quoted me $850 to get the steering angle sensor fixed and to re calibrate the air suspensions. Jeff had the car for two weeks but that's only because his scanner to reprogram the car wasn't working. He didn't make any excuses, he told me his system was down and was just waiting to get it fixed so he can work on my car. While I waited he was fast to reply and always gave me an update every time I messaged him. I picked up the car this Saturday and it runs great. The shop is straight to the point and very honest. wow.... what a week About 8 months ago I got an apology letter from Jeff. He had just seen the review and had no idea I was so upset, and offered to do whatever was in his power to make things right. He sounded sincere so I kept the offer in the back of my mind... Last week my clutch master cylinder went out while I was visiting a friend.. and Jeffs shop happened to be 2 minutes away.. I was hesitant but I guess it was meant to be. I called him up and right away he came to the rescue. He took time out of his lunch and came to my friends to see the car, in the pouring rain, and offered to have it towed to his shop (free of charge). After a couple days it was fixed up and running perfect. Labor alone could've been 200-300 but it was on the house, and one of the parts was a bit of a headache to find, so extra props for that.. It feels great to be able to get over our bit of miscommunication, and give a 5 star rating because I know he's an excellent mechanic. Thank you for helping me out in a tight spot Jeff... I was referred to IQ from another customer. Gentleman named Jeff mans the front counter and performs repairs himself when he can. Looks like he has 3 helpers, some are real mechanics, some learning. I explained my problem, even showed him in the car. He said he'd have a quote for me by the end of the day. He didn't get back, so I paid him a visit the next day. He said he was busy and looked it, said he'd be there past 10:PM and would call with a quote, but it might be late at night. He didn't call until the next afternoon. I gave him the okay to start work. He said he'd have the car done the next day. Actually it took him 3 days because he was so busy with his other jobs. I picked up the car in the evening and found the job wasn't done right, so I brought it back the next day. He worked the car himself to finish the job. One of his staff had made the mistake on my car. While I was there he was instructing different worker as to what he wanted done, that worker kept coming back and asking the same questions, Jeff had to repeat himself three times. I have to admit he has patients with his employees. So here's the REAL SCOOP: Jeff is a good guy, he's smart and friendly and a hard worker, but he can get overloaded with work. Being overwhelmed, he puts in 14-16 hour days, really! Unfortunately, he is like many auto shops and tends to misquote his time and effort. I know he hopes to get something done in a certain amount of time, but he was way off. Fortunately I'd rather get it back correct and don't worry so much about time, but other customers may not have an extra car like I do. This price quote was off too (kind of). He quoted a price, but mentioned that sometimes things might take longer or other problems crop up. So his final bill was justifiably about 30% higher. So, I'm "satisfied" with his work and his personal sincerity, and I will certainly CONSIDER going back. But I wonder about some of his help, and being as busy as he sometimes gets, he doesn't check his helpers work as well as he should. read more

I first went to Land Rover dealership on Stevens Creek, they made a wrong diagnosis and quoted me $1,200+ for this "unknown" problem. I found this shop and brought my Range Rover here. The guys spent quite some time with my car, but found multiple issues, not one with my AC system. At first I though they are "pulling my leg", but they demonstrated all of the problems to me in person, while the car was taken apart, so it was hard not to believe it. In the end - they completely fixed all of my AC problems for almost half of what dealership quoted me. Works as new now! Jeff is a total pro. Straight shooter, no bs, total honesty. Not greedy. Respectful of your options. Super competent, tightly-run shop. Had my car towed there at noon with a broken starter and they had it fixed by 5pm. I checked around, their pricing was more than fair. Jeff owns the place, is young, responsible, aggressive in getting things done, but calm and not rushed at all. He oversees and works with his crew closely. The other gentleman I talked to on the phone was just as good to work with as Jeff was. It's a pretty good-sized shop. They can handle stuff over there differently than small shops can in terms of workload and getting things done. You know what you're getting with these guys, they're not going to give you the kind of crap you get (and I've gotten) from other mechanics who seem to be pretty decent and reliable, but then start to "see things different" than you as the work goes on. My friend Nick referred me to them and HIS family owns a shop as well - that says something (his shop was slammed and couldn't get to my car for a week). I'm glad he did, would not hesitate to come back here if I had a tricky issue with a car that needed a high level of competence, troubleshooting, and advanced work that I don't want to trust a random one-man shop with. They will oversee it and do it right without giving you the poor guidance and business management aspect of it. That's as nice for advanced jobs as simple ones. Jeff and IQ Autoworks crew has impressed me! I called late in the evening to leave a message, hoping they might call back the next morning. Well, Jeff (who is the owner) called back that evening! I explained what my car's problem was, the battery connectors and cables were eaten away by corrosion. I went in first thing the next morning. My car was taken care of within hours. The service was very courteous, the price affordable, the work clean, precise and they even reset my dashboard clock after having removed the battery. I've been a customer with this establishment for about 6 months and I am very pleased with the service and quality they provide for my life and car. As soon as I drive up to the parking lot and got out of my car I was greeted nicely by one of their mechanics. They brought me into the lobby and asked how they can help. I don't know anything about cars so I just told them to take a look at my brakes because they were squeaky. They were very knowledgeable and told me that I needed to have them changed and gave me an estimate to what the cost and labor would be. As I waited for the staff they offered me water or coffee. They also pointed to some reading material to keep myself occupied. I didn't stay there too long because I got picked up while they worked on the car. IQ let me know that the job would take about 3 hrs and advised that I should get a ride. They called me back in about 2.5hrs and told me that my car would be ready for pick up in the next 30min. I love when car places are timely about their estimates!! I noticed the difference in an instant because the brake pads were changed, and my car no longer squeaked. The owner, Jeff, was really nice and gave me a quote that was reasonable compared to competitors. I recently took my car there for Service A- for a Mercedes Benz, and they were extremely quick and their hospitality is great! I will definitely return to iQ Autoworks if my car needs ANY service. IQ bailed me out of a stripped oil plug at Speedee Oil Change and pointed out how nasty the shocks were on my daughter's PT cruiser. I feel much better about her driving the car now. They had very short notice on a Saturday and I was really expecting to get the "You can bring it in on Monday" response. Instead they told me they would have everything done by the time they closed. I noticed they closed at 2:00 and asked if they really had enough time. The response was "We will close when your car is done". Hands down Jeff is the smartest, most honest, hardworking and knowledgeable mechanic I have ever met. But they will stay ahead of your maintenance and suggest what may be coming up for you to consider. Very helpful, friendly, knowledgeable and no-nonsense. My son's BMW wouldn't pass smog and we decided it was time to sell it and get him a (new) old car. I felt I needed to get an idea of what the problem was and how much $$ we were looking at, in case I couldn't sell the car as-is. I gave this shop a call and told them my story and they told me to bring the car in and they would take a look at it for me. After I was obviously in the wrong location, I called Jeff who guided me to the current location not too far away. I came in on my lunch break looking for a diagnosis and a quote for my grinding brakes - it was as I suspected, I needed to have the brake pads and rotors replaced. Jeff provided a comprehensive explanation to what was wrong and what needs to be done. He even offered me a ride back to work while he worked on my car. Unexpected expenses on your car is not the most fun thing in the world, but going to IQ Autoworks doesn't make me feel like I've been swindled and raped in the ass, like many auto repair shops can do. Fleettech is a great place to take your car. These days it is tough to find a mechanic that you can trust. Jeff (the owner) does a great job explaining the problem and presenting the solution without the slightest bit of pressure. My 2005 Nissan Xterra was having some electrical problems that other repair shops were unable to diagnose. Upon diagnosis, Jeff immediately called me to explain to me what needed to be fixed and replaced (new spark plugs and a computer module ). Jeff fixed my car the day after bringing it in. I have a 2003 Mitsubishi Galant. I came here today with a rough idle and shaking to be checked out and Jeff found out and showed me it was a bad motor mount and the engine would jump when put in reverse or drive.
