We went in after Christmas shopping at the mall. We started with the fried calamari. The calamari were excellent and crispy. The sauces on the side were just so-so; I recommend asking for some lemon. I had the fish tacos. They were very crisp and flavorful. The service was friendly. The restaurant has a roadhouse feel to it. They have a good selection of beers, cocktails, and mocktails. At 7:30 PM I'd expect more diners. It's pretty empty. Our server was very friendly. The kitchen was somewhat slow considering how empty the restaurant was. We shared a serving of crispy Brussels sprouts. It was delicious. I had a little pizza on a cauliflower crust. That was very tasty but too oily. My husband had fish and chips. Came here in the summer after they recently opened. It wasn't too busy inside but the wait time was long. I assume due to staffing issues which may be better now. Luckily they had seating at the bar. Decent variety of beer on tap. You can also get a canned crowler. Service was a bit slow at the bar (that wasn't full). The steak was cooked well but wasn't seasoned. The mashed potatoes and corn were pretty good. I'd come for a drink/beer here but probably wouldn't make any special effort to make it here. read more

First off it was Sunday afternoon and it was not busy because we called ahead and they said they weren't busy. We sat down and the server who I will not name because I also blame the training he is supposed to receive, took our order which were two flights 8, 4ounce pours. The time it should've taken for that order to be fulfilled. Should've been two minutes. We sat there for 15 minutes and nothing... we got up and left. Tables around this were having the same issues as well with service. Before I left, I spoke to the manager. He was unkempt, sloppy, and had bad breath. I explained what happened. New location just opened July 2024. Looks nice inside. Greeted by very young girls with no personality, very shy and quiet. Had great service Fernando. The food was meh. $17 bacon cheeseburger was not worth the price. Burger was probably a 1/3rd pounder. Pretzel roll was nice, cheese was basic, no flavor American, bacon also had no flavor. The standard burger comes with their house burger sauce. I ordered it on the side, thankfully. It's a mustard base sauce. What were they thinking? Mustard is not well liked by so many, that's why restaurants always bring ketchup, not mustard, to the table. I would have had to send it back if it was on my burger. No BBQ sauce available in the restaurant either. They've got potential, they need to fix up their menu, reduce their prices and they may do ok. I've heard their craft beers are excellent but that's not enough to survive as a restaurant. I'll check them out in 6 months again once they've worked out the kinks. read more

The margarita pizza is incredible, not your typical PA pizza - this coming from a Jerseyan. The waitress was super nice and patient too. Their online menu has more options than the one we saw in person though and the strawberry margarita didn't taste or look anything like a traditional margarita (it seemed more like strawberry lemonade with tequila and artificial pink food coloring). Although their mixed drinks can use a little tweaking their pizza is perfection. read more

Had a great experience here for Mothers Day brunch. Ordered the Rise and Shine breakfast pizza that includes sausage gravy, bacon, egg, cheese, scallions, potatoes, and a maple syrup drizzle. We decided to try the newest addition to the Lehigh Valley. The ambiance was simple, but comfortable. We all started with the onion au gratin soup. It was good. For our entrées, we got the southwestern chicken salad, the fried chicken sandwich, and the chicken Caesar salad. I would say overall, it was just good. The chicken Caesar salad had a good dressing, but the chicken was bland. The fried chicken sandwich had good potential because the crispy chicken itself was very good, but how it was put together wasn't the best, and lastly, the southwestern chicken salad, keep in mind, is spicy. It was 100% my fault that I didn't realize it had jalapeños in it, so it was a bit too spicy for me, but overall there was nothing much to it. The ingredients that were listed for the salad other than lettuce, were minimal, but the dressing was excellent. There were definitely great menu options, so I think it is worth a try and we would probably come back if we were shopping at the mall, but not to soley come here. No manager came by to offer any explanations or apologies. Got about 19 fries with my crab cake. And the crab cake was awful. Why go to all the trouble and spend all the money to renovate and open a restaurant and have it be amateur hour. Edit: I gave this feedback to the manager Rachel. My wife and I had a great first experience with Iron Hill Brewery. We'd definitely come back! We made a reservation with Open Table and were sat immediately when we arrived, despite being 7 minutes late. Our waitress was appropriately present, meaning we didn't wait too long before she came around, while she also did not overwhelm us with constant visits to our table. The food was delicious. The ribs I ordered were very tender and had a ton of flavor. They were great! My wife ordered a burger that she really enjoyed. We felt like the pricing wasn't too bad. Iron Hill has a relatively small menu while maintaining good variety. Rachel was our waitress and she did a great job. I'd give them five stars if we were blown away, but I think it's more accurate to say it was great and we had a good time. We're looking forward to our next visit! read more

I do not recommend going here. We went for lunch on a Thursday. One of 5 tables in the place. Got our first round of drinks after about 10 minutes. We both got burgers and I upgraded to sweat potato fries. When the food came out the pretzel rolls were ice cold like they had literally just thawed enough to be no longer frozen. The sweat potato fries I paid extra for was half the portion of regular fries my wife got. I ordered a second beer. It never came after 20 minutes. For a solid 10 plus minutes all staff disappears from the bar and area we were seated in. When the server finally came back to ask if we wanted desert there was no mention of the second round of beer and we had been done eating for least 10 minutes. The service is slow non attentive and the food is mediocre at best. read more

Stopped in for lunch with my two daughters and granddaughter. We were immediately seated in a booth at my daughter's request. We were immediately brought out ice waters and they included a cup with a lid and straw for the 2 year old! We ordered wine and pleasantly surprised by the PA Sauvignon Blanc, my other daughter ordered a cider. Our server was AMAZING!!! Ximena took our orders, brought out a watered down lemonade for the toddler per her Mom's request. We had the cheesesteak, brussel sprouts, chicken tenders, and the grilled chicken sandwich. Giving a 3 because there is room for improvement. We've been to iron hills before, just not this one. Crowded, lively atmosphere. Glad to have a reservation that we made only about 2 hours before we went so we didn't have to wait long. Waitress was attentive. I'm pregnant and wanted a NA beer but they were completely out. We ordered Brussels sprout appetizer that came out fairly quickly. It wasn't bad but definitely missing something-like a drizzle of a sauce maybe? We both ordered burger and fries and it took ONE HOUR (45 mins from when we sat down) to get our food. The food was good. Not too pricey. I'm picky about fries and they were definitely good ones. Would love to go back but as a family we have young kids and it would be a nightmare to wait that long for food with them so hopefully that improves. read more

We were in the area and decided to stop here all I'm going to say is that foccacia bread is the best bread I ever ate!!! Me and my husband loved it. It is $7 but worth it!!!! The eggplant was also very good!!! Brussels sprouts a little plain they could use a drizzle of something such as balsamic glaze or hot honey drizzle!! That would make them so much better. The beers were good I wish they would add a cider to the menu as most breweries now offer them for the woman who don't like IPAs! But the apricot beer was delicious. The servers were young and not so greeting when we arrived as we were standing waiting to be seated and then had to ask. I don't think they were trying to be rude just going and not knowledgeable of the environment. I would go back for dinner again! read more

This location is absolutely horrible. From the cleanliness to the service. The manager is a poor excuse of a "manager". Lack of Servers cause tables and patio to be closed which is unfortunate and understandable. Patty was ordered medium and Patty came out well done. When requested new Patty came out 20 minutes later! At that point my entire family was done eating so just decided to decline and take it off the bill. I was nice and professional although there was ZERO accountability. Again I was nice but frustrated. Future tip-accountability goes a long way and should be looked at when hiring a manager. read more

After reading the menu online, my fiancé and I were excited to try this restaurant for the first time. We waited about 15 min to be seated, which was no big deal. Great selections on the menu. Then things took a turn... we waited an additional 15min for someone to acknowledge we were even seated. Once our waitress decided to grace us with her prescience. We ordered simple, two beers, fried calamari, a Rueben, and a burger, oh and an order of truffle fries with my sandwich. After a while our beers arrived at the table to be followed by another extensive wait. When people understand that it's not the wait that's usually the problem but the lack of communication. When our food finally arrived, to make a long story short, my fiancés burger which was supposed to be med rare came to the table med well, the truffle fries were hard and cold, and when I complained, I'm convinced the gave me the same fries just heated under the heat lamp. For the price of our meal, there is no way that service should be bad and the food too. If you go, go for the beer. At least that was good. read more

First time there, and our group of 10 had a reserved table. Standard black industrial decor with hard chairs and tables in black. The music was loud so I could only hear the people next to and across from me. Our waitress was patient and efficient, but it was hard communicating over the music. I'm a gluten-free vegetarian, and I always look at menus well in advance to make sure there's a choice. I was looking forward to the vegetable stir-fry described as "bok choy, broccoli, peppers, celery, onions, rice, scallion curls, sesame soy glaze." The dish I got was almost all peppers, 4 pieces of broccoli, 3 snap peas, rice, and glaze. I was very disappointed. The manager finally came to me half-way through our meal and offered to replace my meal, but our group was almost done eating so I declined. He did not offer to comp. me in any way. Most of our group ordered burgers, which came with a modest side of salty fries. The person across from me had fish and chips, which she said was average. Another had the salmon cakes which she found bland. A few also had the homemade root beer and were surprised it was flat, not carbonated. Nobody raved about their meal. Four of us (two couples) dined at the Iron Hill brewery, in Whitehall, PA. yesterday. First, the music is too loud, conversing was a strain (should have been turned down at least 2 notches). It was acknowledged, early on, that we could have 2 separate checks. In the end, did not receive 2 separate checks. Although all 4 of us indicated that our entrees were very good, there were a few hiccups. One, in the group, did not receive dressing for their salad (she had to ask for it). I ordered a small Ceasar salad that never came out until I reminded the server that I had ordered one. He said he forgot to put that order in. It came out after my entree. This was the first time that I never finished a Ceasar salad. I asked for the remainder to go because, at home, I was going to add a good Ceasar dressing to it. Their dressing had too much of a vinegar taste and I indicated that on the review that was given to us while we were still at the table. I modified the tip amount. This Iron Hill would not be on my top 5 list. read more
