I brought my Mercedes C300 to Irvine Auto Collision after I ripped the front bumper on one of those concrete headers in a parking lot. Anyway the staff was super friendly and paid for a rental car for me and when I picked up my car it was cleaner than when I had brought it in, and the bumper was like new. They even guaranteed the work for life. I hope I never have to come back but if I need to I will definately come here. I will definately recommend them to everyone I know. read more

I have used these people twice. The people that work there are extremely friendly and professional. I only have positive things to say about them. The work performed however is poor. The first time I used them they repaired my car, however they scratched my car door handle in the process. It wasnt that big so I didnt bother having it fixed. They also did not put the door together properly so the seal of the door was hanging off. This most recent time they fixed my bumper without issue. They however in the process scratched my car in at least three places. So instead of getting my car back, I had to bring it back in and have the entire door and left side re-painted. That was a waste of three days and the time spent having to bring the car in, wait to get a rental etc etc. IMHO I will never use them again. The amount of additional unecessary time spent having to deal with the secondary scratches caused by pure incompetence is unacceptable to me. The only reason I gave them two stars instead of one star is that they took responsibility of their actions and fixed the problem. read more

GREAT EXPERIENCE! My 2012 Ford Focus was making noises and needed a 60,000 mile service. I was worried and concerned that something else might start going wrong with my car. As soon as I walked in there were 3 bright smiles asking me what they can do to help me. Immediately I was thinking.... Oh my god; finally people wanting to help me! As I explained what I needed and they asked me if I would like a LONER CAR, I said YES and 15 minutes later I found myself driving away in another car. While my car was being worked on my worries started to vanish. Everything happened so fast and smoothly I was blown away. They knew exactly what to do and how to treat a customer, I felt like I was in a 5 star resort. Check out the lobby; it's bright, clean, and they even have 2 clean bathrooms. The service was excellent and I had a great experience. At the end I was explained exactly what they did to my car down to the penny the time and parts required. WOW. They gave me my keys and signed, paid (great price by the way) and was out the door in my freshly washed car. I WILL BE BACK no question. This is an experience you probably won't find anywhere else in the auto body repair industry. I recommend this company. read more

I called Irvine auto for quotes and their price is a lot lower. i drove my car there and the mechanic did inspection and told me my brake pad is over 50 percent and perfect fine. free of charge. Ahhh Irvine Auto Body. I was (un)fortunate enough to make another visit to this place. Unfortunate because I was in an accident (at no fault of my own), but fortunate because they had exceptional service as well as outstanding work. Again. To make a long story short (since I have nothing bad to say), they answered all and any questions I had, got my car repaired within a reasonable time. The car was finished by the time they had initially estimated (no broken promises, no BS excuses why the car wasn't done yet, etc), and they went the extra mile to arrange for the rental car company to pick me up from the site, when I could've just easily called them myself. My brand new car was almost totaled in an accident where I was rear-ended. I used Irvine Collision before for some minor work on a car interior a year back and it was the only place I could remember when my insurance company asked where I want to send my damaged car to. The guys at the Irvine Collision took over all the work starting from towing my car from the tow company to their location, paying the tow company, working with the insurance adjuster and keeping me posted of the progress throughout the process. Because I was driving a rental car during the repair, they even offered to deliver the car to my home when it was ready. I accepted their offer as the logistics of dropping off my rental near my home and then going to their shop was somewhat inconvenient as I also had to drive back from my work near LA. The quality of the work done on my car was very high. Unfortunately, as expected the car was not to be the same after a bad accident. I had some issues with the car being slightly more bumpy than before (i was very sensitive about it). Irvine Collision was very understanding and said that they will do their best to get it checked out. They brought the car to the dealer and have them test and fix what was necessary. I am now happy with my car which still looks immaculate. Overall I was very satisfied by the quality of their work, but more importantly their very courteous, patient and professional services they rendered to me. read more

I always thought my first review would to be complain about some horrific restaurant experience. Given the review attached to this post, that is not the case! To start with, there sure are a lot of auto shops with 5 star reviews right? That made me skeptical of auto related Yelp reviews. But in my metamorphosis from review reader to review writer, I realized most of the reviews probably are legitimate. People who need their car fixed tend to be pleased when someone fixes their car. Fact. I had finally given in and decided that the grinding noises my car was making needed to be addressed. The brakes were shot, alignment was a little bit off, and tires were way past due for a rotation. When I got in, Carlos walked me through all the issues in great detail. He even showed me what tools he used for measurement, and what to focus on to evaluate my car problems. The damage was much worse than I thought because the brake rotors were scratched and the tires were worn down to the wire mesh. Thankfully, the shop's competitive pricing helped ease the pain. They were about $200 cheaper than another quote I got for brake repair. Next time there is an issue, or if my friends have one, I would recommend them here. read more

Got my deep scratches fixed and repainted, despite the McLaren in their name their pricing was actually pretty competitive.

Got rear-ended and the repairs were covered by the other party's insurance. State Farm recommended their own repair shops otherwise I may have to cover the difference if another repair shop outside their network was chosen. Luckily I went to Irvine Auto Collision I"IAC") first to get their opinion on the repair work. They advised the bumper be replaced due to several deep cuts on the upper scratch plate. It would not be repaired or replaced separately from the bumper. Then I visited State Farm's recommended repair shop. They quoted repairing the bumper and not replacing it. When asked how they were going to repair the scratch plate their response was "well its worn anyways from the sun so it can't be repaired to new condition." What? Say that again. "Well, we will repair the cuts in the plate and it will look good." How? "I will make sure they fix it." How? "don't worry they will have it repaired." Of course the estimate was 30% cheaper than my initial quote with Irvine Auto Collision. IAC followed up on the status of my repair claim. I updated my experience with my second quote. They worked me through the claims process and advised they will negotiate with the insurance company on the repair work. Sure enough I brought my car in and they quickly arranged a pick-up from the rental car company after I arrived. They promptly called me on the status of the claims process with the insurer and quickly resolved to my benefit on replacing the bumper. To my very pleasant surprise, they detailed the car inside and out including cleaning my dirty carpets. I would never have expected. I wonder if it's due to being a repeat customer or I happened to come when the detailer had nothing to do. The paint on bumper is slightly different but my sons or my wife did not notice. The car is 9 years old so the paint is faded by now. The second repair shop I mentioned early had several articles posted in their lobby regarding how hard it is to match painted bumpers to the rest of the car. So I guess the articles are right. In any case I am satisfied with their work, professionalism and customer service. read more

I have taken several of our company vehicles here. I am not sure if there has been a change in ownership or what but I just got back one of our 2010 Toyota Tundras and the work was horrible. They reworked the entire right side from bumper to bumper after the vehicle scraped a guard rail. There are paint runs, overspray everywhere, the tailgate wont close all the way, the bed roll top is mis aligned and the gasket is skewed and some sort of tool was left in the under carriage somewhere and fell out along the freeway. We were told the repairs would take 10-12 days and it ended up being 21 days. I will never go back to this place again. read more

If I could add 0 stars I would. They have the worst service that I had ever dealt with, making up excuses that didn't make sense, instead of having my car back in 2 weeks in took 8 weeks. My insurance had constantly called the auto body shop and asked why they would take so long and keep billing my car with unnecessary services that were not requested. The owner James Davis, of this company did not have the decency to call and apologize for all the problems we had dealt with, they didn't accept buisness checks, which is impossible, only accepting credit cards for who knows, adding more bills. Denise, made many rude gestures, and constantly lied about the car being ready, when we came to the shop, they would tell us it had not been ready, wasting our time Horrible service, do not waste your time unless you have a million cars and a million dollars, and don't mind to be demanded and waiting for something that took forever to come! read more

Ouch! Got a quote for a scratched bumper and it was 2.5x as much as others. Knew it was gonna be expensive when I walked in and noticed the decor was too nice for a car shop. Granted they were going to remove the bumper and sand/repaint but twice as much as another shop? A normal persons impression of repair shops is they normally try to rip you off. But I was totally suprised by my experience here. The owner was actually explaining how I can not spend money fixing at his shop and do it muself. He also offer to do for very little amount. I don't think is fair to put the actual dollar cost on public review, but for his confience & housepatality, I will be totally fine buying him & his Co worker lunch. his only request in return is a great yelp review which I'm writing now. The facility is easy to go to since is close to "the district", their building is not much but is actually very comfortable inside. Nice coach, clean, simple drink, what more can I ask on top of this big favor I'm getting. read more

We purchased a car five years ago that had been in an accident and had been repaired by Irvine Auto Collision. It was repainted in October 2008 and the paint is coming off all over. It looks horrible! We will have to pay to have it repainted. They will not stand behind the paint job since we are not the original owners. I would not recommend having your car painted here. I am disappointed that this expensive paint-job lasted less than six years. read more

This was a great experience. The customer service was exceptional. The person that caused the damage wanted to not use his insurance and I felt the price was very reasonable. It only took 2.5 days to repair and was ready when promised. The repair looked beautiful and they certainly go the extra mile to accommodate the customer. My rep was Alec & Cameron and they communicated with me quickly both by phone and email. They also gave me two options for repair knowing I was a cash customer. They offered 2 estimates; after market parts or dealer parts, which was very helpful. When I drove out my car was clean and looked brand new. They even cleaned my headlight that wasn't replaced. All in all I would give this shop an A+ and would definitely be a repeat customer if my car needed repair. read more

If I could put 0 stars I would. This was by FAR the worst experience I had ever had with any of my cars. Denise had the most rudest attitudes and commands I've ever heard, on top of that. They took 8 weeks to finish my car, when I was told it would take only 2 weeks max. While everyday, they would never take my calls and wouldn't contact me, I would wonder about my car Denise had no experience at all, by the way she had to constantly put me on hold to ask her co workers about my questions. Many times my INSURANCE had called their company and asked about why they would keep on taking their time, and putting more bills and payments with unnecessary, add ons that were not asked for RIO was also a co worker that talked very Rudely with no care at all, and passed on the phone to another worker, without answering any of my questions They didn't know how to run a buisness, The OWNER of the company didn't have the decency to call and apologize about how long it took for the car. There is no care about your vehicle and no one cares to help anyone. They are very demanding and would not take a buisness check, which is impossible for all places to not take. Please do not waste your money and time and take your car any where else then this one. 8 weeks to fix a car is ridiculous, don't take a risk and regret your mistake. Fantastic service! As a new customer I called in to get an estimate to replace the front headlight bulb on a BMW3 series, they gave me a good price over the phone, and when I came in they said it was just a loose connection, they fixed it, no charge. Move forward a week later, my truck 'check engine' light came on, so I took it to them, I told them what I thought it was, they did a thorough inspection, and gave me a very reasonable estimate for the repair. I've used, what feels like hundreds of mechanics, and I can say it has been a pleasure dealing with McClaren/Irvine Auto. Joe is the person who handles mechanical issues on vehicles and he has been extremely helpful and easy to work with. If I could give this place a big fat zero I would. I will never take my car to this body shop again and if you care for your vehicle neither will you.I took my car to Irvine auto collision after my accident in which I was run off the road over a curb onto the sidewalk.The employees here granted, are polite but that's only to get your money. After you realize the jobs not done right and you complain these people turn into MONSTERS. After the completion of my vehicle Rudy at Irvine auto collision drove my car to my home. Later that evening I test drove my vehicle only to find it was very loud and now sounded like a truck and the wheels had a loud grinding noise when making turns. My vehicle never sounded this way prior to the accident.The next day I gave Rudy a call to inform him of my findings. Rudy stated that he would pick up my vehicle and take a look. After his inspection he said it was very possible that my car always sounded this way and I wanted free repairs( granted I've driven this vehicle for 10 years w/o any major issues such as this). So Rudy informed me he had done his job and the insurance company paid him his money and he's done. I told Rudy my vehicle is not fixed and I will return it to him for the repairs. Rudy informed me that if I brought my vehicle back to him he would put out a lien and sell it so if I wanted to keep my car I better stay put and go find a mechanic to fix it. I was furious so I called my insurance company and went over what happened. They gave me permission to take my car to an auto repair facility. I took my car to a Mitsubishi dealership who informed me of several things related to the accident that were never repaired and that was the reason for the grinding and loud noises. After informing Rudy of this he told me he doesn't do mechanical repairs. Weird, he did other mechanical repairs on my vehicle. ( Have you ever heard of a bodyshop that only repairs the body work then have you pick it up and take it to a mechanic to get the rest of your repairs done?) I haven't .The bodyshops I know usually contract out with the things they don't specialize in. Rudy then informed he tried to get all the repairs done on my vehicle but the insurance company refused to replace the parts. Come on Rudy! You never told me this story initially. I thought you said in your opinion my vehicle sounded like this prior to the accident, which LIE is it? Well in my opinion, Rudy is a big fat liar with no knowledge in fixing vehicles. I wish there was a zero star button. They do not know what they are doing! I went there because Scion referred me there, I don't know why they would... I get there to get a quote for my window, they say that they can't give me an actual quote because they would need to look inside the door panel..DUH. So they gave us a quote of $160, we go back the next day, they look inside of it, and tell us its going to be $480 and they need to order parts, and why didnt they do that the day before? They tried to tell me I need a new regulator, when we just bought one a week before! They finally drop the price to $270 after I told them that, and they were quoting the labor ridiculously high. So finally we go back after they order the parts, and 4 hours later call me and say they cant fix it because they are scared it might break and I need a whole new door and it will be $1750!! I go get my car, and they did not roll the window all the way up and left my speaker unplugged and a week later, they still have not refunded us our money and we have called them 3 times! They promised they would every time we call, and still they havnt. DO NOT GO TO THEM! I just got my window fixed for $60 dollars at another place yesterday that took 30 minutes btw...they are nothing but a scam... read more

They failed to honor warrantee repairs from a bad paint job on the bumper which pealed the same day I picked up the car and also they did not properly fix the car door hinge door and also damaged the wheel well cover by cracking it. Three other bodily shops shows me the shortcuts they took that made the repair job improper and has to be completely redone. Irvine Auto bluntly said they won't fix it as they lost money on the repair job. "Breach of Warrantee" as they stated the paint has a lifetime warrantee. After no return phone calls and being ignored I had to chase the manager Cameron at another body shop his family owns to get him to answer to why he won't fix a bad repair job. Cameron claimed the owners would call me and he was told he cannot authorize any repairs on my vehicle. The owner are his parents (they never called). Further I paid out of pocket for a major part of the repairs and the insurance by mistake sent the reimbursement check to Irvine Auto. Irvine Auto kept the check and failed to send it to me as required by law. A fraud complaint has been filed. I am filing a lawsuit against this shop and its owners and management and urge caution if you plan to use this shop. read more

I wanted to give a zero star. Stay away from this shop. Worst body shop ever. Used to be Tustin Yoyota's contract shop. This shop is located in the industrial area with all the dust everyday. There were so many dust collect under clear coat, I have to go back for more than 5 times to fix it. Recently I found there were more bubbles under the clear coat and called the shop....the lady said that she will look for my file and call me back which she never did. I waited for a week and called again some guy picked up and said the lifetime warranty for the job they did is no longer valid, cuz Tustin Toyota is no longer contract with them. Even I have the receipt says lifetime warranty on the job they did. I asked to speak with the owner of shop, they claimed that the onwer is never there, hard to be reached. What a joke.... Luckily Tustin Toyota will take care of me as a customer. Never take ur car there for any kind of repair for below reasons 1. Bad quality of the paint job 2. They will try to find any reason to not warranty the job they have done 3. Bad customer services. I am filling a complaint to Better Business Bureau and possibly sue for breach of contract against this shop. read more
