Plenty of cold beverages to choose from in the multiple refrigerators and the bagels, muffins, and pastries are clearly marked behind glass containers so you can pick and choose exactly what you want without worrying about being told "sorry we're out." The prices are more than fair, and my boyfriend and I have never waited too long for our bagel breakfast sandwiches we ordered to go. It can be tough to find a really good bagel in the Hartford area, but luckily Isaac's makes that a little easier. Located in a strip mall in Bloomfield, Isaac's occupies a surprisingly-large restaurant space. There is a ton of seating inside, and enough space that you don't feel like you are in the way when you are waiting for take-out. Given it's a strip mall area, parking is not a problem. The bagels are the big draw, with good reason. My favorite is the jalapeno cheddar, which was full of flavor and the perfect texture. The garlic asiago is great as well, and even the plain bagel will do the trick. There are a good variety of cream cheese flavors. The breakfast sandwiches are excellent as well. I'm a big fan of the turkey sausage, egg and cheese, which tastes great on the jalapeno cheddar bagel. They even have hash browns which they'll put on your sandwich if requested. On all of my visits the staff has been friendly, and I've never had a lengthy wait (even on a busy weekend). This is a definite recommend if you're looking for a good bagel in the Hartford area. It's easily on par with Lox Stock and Goldberg's. read more

Bruh. These bagels? Best bagels in the Greater Hartford area; don't @ me. They're sooooo crispy and delicious. I've gone to other bagel shops in the area, some that have lines out the door year round. And they simply pale in comparison. Thankfully, Isaac's is close enough to my house that I can go here often. It's a cute little restaurant that offers seating, which is used by many local retirees. Breakfast sandwiches are made to order and served in papery wrapping in a paper bag. As I watch the grease from the bacon recolor the bag, my mouth salivates my whole way home. Vegans rejoice! All of their bagels are vegan, other than the egg (obviously) and the ones covered with cheese. They can also toast your bagel and serve it with hummus. My favorite bagel is the asiago, because if you get it with a bacon egg and cheese, that's double cheesy goodness, man. Sometimes the cinnamon bagel with some butter hits the spot too. They also have rainbow bagels for all of your millennial Instagramming needs. I overheard a woman asking the staff "why rainbow? It doesn't taste like anything? Is it fruity? No? Then why?" The cashier was very nice, but the true answer is, "if these are your questions, this bagel ain't for you boo. This bagel is for the gram." Unfortunately Isaac's loses a star because I hate their coffee. I think it's weak and it tastes terrible. I wish coffee didn't matter that much to me, but here we are. My friend's grandmother brought me here (Grandma and Grandpa know all the great breakfast spots in town). They had great selection despite the fact that we rolled in at like 1 pm. It was basically like Between Rounds level selection with ma & pop's feel. I had a rosemary bagel with butter and they pressed it to crispy perfection and did not over do the butter. I had to go with my first gut instinct otherwise I would have been caned by the grannies in line. I could have stood their all day trying to decide (ok that's an overstatement but I could have been indecisive for at least 15 minutes which is alike a day's time if you are hungry and waiting in line). I can't believe I hadn't tried this place despite it being a mile away from my house. What a little gem in bloomfield! Came here on Saturday after a night of drinking. Ordered two cheddar jalapenos everything with bacon egg and cheese and steak egg and cheese. The bagels were delicious. Fluffy, tasty and chewy in a good way with a nice crunch. The fillings were nothing to talk about but the combos were pretty good and very reasonably priced. The inside is also offers a pretty nice atmosphere. The jalapeño bagel was pretty bland, not as dense and chewy as I'd like, but very pleasant. My food was very fresh, which was great. The cheese wasn't melted, which was weird. There were far more food offerings than I expected, this place is more like a bagel diner or deli. The decor was interesting, there's a chill out area. What really warmed my heart was that in this diner of older quiet patrons, a very loud pop song suddenly blared from speakers by my ears. It was so out of character for what I expected, I assumed it was a mistake. Then the staff came out dancing with a cupcake and candle and I realized it was a birthday song.
