I come here when I miss my grandma's cooking because this is one of the only places in Tracy that serves Philipino food. The food is tasty but never as good as grandma's. They have a variety from diniguan to karekare to bangus. A combo plate gives a ginormous serving of rice + a main item for less than $8.I don't know anywhere else over here where you can get a fresh, well-balanced, homemade meal for under 10 bucks. First time trying this place out. Decent, fair prices and delicious. Combo plates range from $5.99 to $10.99 (as of April 2022) and and 1 serving, depending on what and size starts at $3.29 to $15.09+ (as of April 2022). They also have sweet treats and fresh fish and pork in small refrigerated area for purchase. Convenient, fast, tasty and cheap. At the recommendation of a co-worker picked up a party tray of lumpia shanghai to bring to a New Years Party. A tray of 50 with sauce is $24, when I picked up the container the lumpia were cool not warm and soft, I was told to place them in an oven for 10-min and they crisped right up. Perfect party food and way cheaper than King Eggroll, but then again they are a fraction of the size too. Place is located in the back of a small shopping center. The place can use some renovation because there's still the ancient 90s box television out for customers to watch some shows. From the deli, there's options like beef, adobo, menudo, sinigang, pancit, rice, lumpia, etc. The prices here are very reasonable for the portion size. You get a great deal overall. The worst service I've ever encountered. I walked in to pick up an order. They ignored me maybe because I didn't order from their food selection. They entertained others who were looking at the food. I had to "increase the volume of my voice" so they can see me waiting at the cashiers counter just to pick up my order and pay. Either the employees are blind, def or they don't understand English. I've only ever had the Biko from here but from that alone I am eager to try something else a little more adventurous from the menu. Anyone not familiar with Biko it's a Filipino sticky rice with a Caramel-like topping. Very stodgy but oh so good, especially with some Coconut Ice Cream or Frozen Yogurt. The catering tray we had at a Dinner party was large and delicious, with 6 of us in attendance there was more than enough to go around with the 3 other Desserts we had. And more flavors! Cheesy rolls and ube bread? Jufran? Nagaraya cracker nuts? Dried Philippine mangos? Shrimp chips? Bay leaves & other spices in a bag for 99 cents to cook your fave recipe? Yeah, they got all that! This little Filipino grocery store is small, but it's good for what they do have for some basic goodies that you need. Walking in, they have a few aisles of grocery goodies, a frozen section (a packages of frozen lumpia ready for you to cook!), a great selection of Magnolia ice cream (see pic) at $8+ per container, a small fresh fruits/vegetables section, and huge bags of rice that will have the carbo-loader in you set for the whole year! After you put it in your rice dispenser, of course. ;) Ok, it's not huge. Yes, the customer service orientation & friendliness could be a lot better. We bought about a dozen items today & the lady at the register asked us,"Do you need a bag?" She asked it in a way looking at us, like she was hoping we wouldn't waste her time by needing a bag. Um yeah, we're buying a DOZEN ITEMS & it's 95 degrees outside & we have to carry our stuff to our car! I ordered 100 lumpias this last weekend for my family and they were done by the time I requested to pick up. I have never had lumpias before my brother in law brought some over for our housewarming and now I am hooked. The service can be friendlier, but I'm used to the warmth (or lack thereof) of smaller mom and pop shops like this so it's nothing new to me. Their pricing is pretty good too. Im from SF so one thing for sure and another for certain we know Filipino food. The lumpia's here were on point. The pancit was great because it didn't have pork :-). The adobo was cool but soupy. Love this place! The food is mighty delicious and I like that they use really fresh vegetables in their dishes. I've had almost everything on the menu over a few years, but the lumpia and adobo are my faves. I just want to really make sure everyone reading knows how much I recommend this place. Also, I want to make sure everyone understand their food is the real deal. There's currently an underground (illegal) lumpia biz that popped up near the intersection of Lincoln and Lowell, on Lowell, on the same side of the street, as Waverly Court. It's the house with a tall flagpole. They have NO permits! - No permit for sanitation, no permits from the San Joaquin County Health Department, no liability insurance, and no business license. These people are FRYING LUMPIA in their front yard on Fridays, and taking orders during the week. This IS NOT right. They should NOT be allowed to do this because legit businesses like Island Gourmet are running their business legally, and paying taxes. I really wanted to love this place. This review is for the restaurant. We had party coming up and we decided to try the food first and if we liked it we would have them cater. And we did enjoyed the dishes that we had. So, we end up ordering from them. We ordered trays of Palabok, lumpia, menudo, and chicken afritada. If we are talking about quantity the trays was full and gave extra sauces which I really appreciate it because other places don't do that. However, taste wise it was lacking the palabok was so bland, the menudo was cook differently from what I use to. The rest of the orders was OKAY. Food has always been good both at lunch time from the hot plates available to the party trays. We've order for for 4 or 5 parties from here. Bistek, lumpia shanghai, pancit, menudo, ginataang sitaw kalabasa, pork adobo. All have been good. The bbq pork sticks are probably my favorite. The staff are very nice and prices are good. They aren't stingy like other Filipino places we've been to around the bay. We've picked up some stuff from their store a few doors down too. Stopped in on the Island last Tuesday to pick-up some Lumpia and Chicharrón's for a XMas party I was hosting. NOTE: I always call ahead of time to make sure 1. they have enough Lumpia. 2. To make sure the Lumpia is fresh and hasn't been sitting under a heat lamp all day. Walked in at 4 and out 10 minutes later with the goods. The Lumpia (approximately 100) were the hit of the party as usual and gone within a few moments. The Chicharrón's on the other hand we're not a huge hit. They we're not fresh and tasted like they sat out most of the day. It's a shame, but I ended up throwing about 80% of them away. I really like Island Gourmet's Lumpia and Pancit, so I'll return in the future if for nothing else, those two items. read more

I love this place. They have a decent selection and variety of food during the day and there's an option to order ahead of time for parties. Their price is very reasonable too. The amount of pancit they put on the combo is generous also and it tastes good also. Halo Halo, melon juice and Biko are also available in this place and priced reasonably.
