I hate to do this to a small black owned business but the food was flavorless and just outright a disgrace to the Caribbean culture. I would not recommend and never go back. Caribbean Cuisine on Richmond is where I'll take a road trip to; very disappointing.

We did not get to try the beef patties, they were out. But I ordered the jerk chicken. It did not taste like jerk. It tasted like brown stew chicken. The vegetables weren't bad, and the rice was good. The plantain was sweet, good.

Delicious!!!! I got Oxtails obviously and the beef Patty! Omg both were DELICOUS! I saw some people saying it tasted old but I disagree. It tasted fresh and looked fresh!! Everything was flavorful and just the right amount of everything. I dont care much for cabbage so I'll ignore that and the rice and peas were... rice and peas lol! But man I willl be back!

Now I understand why they don't offer dine in lol

Visit was Tuesday 07/21/2020 - we were a bit surprised when we approached this place and now we understand why they do not have done in available lol We pre ordered our food by phone and it was almost ready when we came to pick it up. They have a lil drive thru. It appears to be like a one man show, but we were highly excited about the food when we started eating it at home. The oxtails were very tender and fell off the bones easily. The rice and cabbage was cooked on point and the beans were very tasty. In addition to the food we also ordered Jamaican soda which was imported from Jamaica, only the grape flavored one originated out of Canada. It was a big portion so we have plenty of leftovers for tomorrow. This type of food is easy to be reheated and taste also very good the next day. We are certain that we will stop by again and pick up Jamaican food. Thank you so much for the dining experience tonight!

This is a large? 4 oxtails for 15.50? Disappointed! I was excited about trying this place because it's not to far from home. Needless to say my hubby was outraged that he spent nearly $70 on 3 large oxtails, and patties and I was upset that even after we ate that I had to cook anyway because we were still hungry. Sorry, the prices are almost the same where we go across town and we always have some for next day

Having in laws from the West Indies and being a former Floridian I miss this food like crazy! My daughter and husband's oxtail was cooked and seasoned perfect as was my curry goat. The beef patties were delicious and had just a faint hint of heat. We will be back weekly lol.

Yesterday was my first time visiting here and when I tell you this food was so good, it was amazing! The oxtails were perfectly seasoned and tender the meat easily fell off the bone, rice and cabbage also flavorful as well and I usually don't eat plantain but these were also very tasty as well. The nice man that took my order was very patient and provided me with more information about the menu and what they have to offer and the food came out so quick as well! I definitely plan on returning soon to try other menu items.

Oxtails ABSOLUTELY NO FLAVOR AND I HAVE FOOD POISONING SOMETHING TOLD ME TO STOP EATING AFTER FORCING MYSELF AND NOW I HAVE FOOD POISONING

I was disappointed in the portion for the price. If you look at the picture it honestly wasn't a lot of food. As for the taste, the sides were the star of the show. Those green beans were flavored beautifully. You could taste the onion, garlic, bacon and tomato in each bite. I also really liked the white cheddar mac and cheese. It was simple, cheesy and wasn't doing too much with the flavors. As for the meats, I should've gotten the house cut(half loose/half lean) for the brisket instead of all loose cut because it was too much fat for me. Also the brisket was lacking in flavor and salt, I was not impressed at all. I was hoping the bbq sauce would help it which it somewhat did but the bbq sauce is not your traditional sweet bbq sauce. It was heavily tomato based. It wasn't bad but I wish there was on option for a sweet bbq sauce. Now, onto the Czech Sausage, I honestly really liked the flavor of this sausage. It was seasoned and tender. Overall, I don't know if i'd come back as there's so many options for bbq in Houston but i'm glad I tried it!

I was immediately impressed with the sparkling clean interior, spicy warm aromas, and attractiveness of this restaurant. The lady working the front of the restaurant was polite and attentive. The food was wonderful. We started with beef, spinach, and chicken empanadas. Each had a crispy crust, savory filling and great dipping sauce. Next was the fish and shrimp with fried plantains... crunchy fried goodness. Our finale was the oxtail served with rice and peas, collard greens, and candied yams. Nothing beats a good serving of oxtails and these were good. I will have to visit their Missouri City location the next time I am in the mood for soul food in a Carribbean flair.

The steak was honestly the highlight of the meal. It was cooked well, flavorful, and easily the best thing on the plate. Unfortunately, everything else ranged from mediocre to disappointing. The fried onion rings were extremely salty and just not enjoyable. The mashed potatoes were also overly salty, which made them hard to eat. The cream corn was okay, but nothing particularly memorable. What Mia's Table does really well is the atmosphere. The restaurant has a lively, family friendly environment, and it was packed when I visited. They also have a self serve ice cream bar, which is a nice touch for families with kids. If I were rating solely based on ambiance and overall vibe, I would probably give it 4 stars. The frustrating part is that I spent about $26 on my meal and ended up only really enjoying the steak. For that price point, I expected the sides to be just as good as the main dish. Overall, a great atmosphere and a solid steak, but the food quality was too inconsistent for me to rate it any higher.
