This is my number one *go to* joint when I crave sushi because it is fast and cheap (relatively). You can get a seat quickly unless it is peak dinnertime. They do have a small waiting area. Cross the street though if you want higher-end sushi. This IS fast food after all. Service is nice and friendly. I recommend ordering straight from the chef. Otherwise it can be cold or incorrect temperature. Recommend Unagi here, sashimi not roll. Spider rolls are also great when straight from chef. Yummy Squid Cucumber salad, best I have had at any Sushi place. Most of my favorites done right! :) Ethnicity has nothing to do with food prep, so I found Brian K's review inappropriate. They are very professional and nice. They do a great job with all that I/we have ordered from them along with the Asian chefs. All conveyor food is covered, so no risk in that respect. I thoroughly enjoy going to this place and always leave with a smile (and full)... Seeing all that food is visually stimulating! Thanks ISushi. Would give you one more star if you had an English translation of a menu that was written describing the dishes/individual plates well. I have been eating here for almost 10 years. I used to leave feeling unsatisfied at times, but I realized I am in control of whether I leave happy or not by simply asking for what I want that is not on the conveyor. I've always been a fan of "rotary" sushi because of the variety and speed of getting food. I don't stray much from seared salmon or tuna, spicy tuna, king crab sashimi, and spicy asparagus. If you don't want to fuss with a menu, eat here between 11:30-1:00 pm. They put out a good variety during this time and they replenish well. Before or after peak time, it's best to order from the chefs or wait staff. Fried calamari, shumai, gyoza, cucumber salad, and chef salad are some of our favorite side dishes. Tables and high chairs are always clean. I find the wait staff during the week to be friendliest...weekends have been hit or miss. Unimpressed by the quality, service, or variety. There seemed to be more cucumber in the rolls than fish. This was all the more annoying since rolls were virtually the only option that came around on the belt. There was only one plate of tuna that made the round trip several times while I was there--no idea how long it had been there and clearly I wasn't the only one hesitating to take it. Despite there being other seats available which would have given us all more room, the hostess seated another party right next to me--apparently more convenient for her, less so for those of us who don't enjoy being elbowed repeatedly by those lacking a sense of personal space. For the price, I'd honestly rather grab supermarket to-go. read more

Subpar sushi (Yes, EVEN by sushi conveyor belt standards), ridiculous prices. iSushi may have been a legitimate option in the past but the competition has really stepped up (or opened) in the past year. iSushi has some serious catching up to do. No lunch specials, no happy hours, crazy high prices (owner uses the cheapest labor possible and still charges premium prices), tiny portions, etc. Look around people, there are far, far better and cheaper options now. read more

I will not be surprised if this place goes out of business soon. My family used to come to this place once a month. But our recent visit will be our last. We were there at dinner time. The conveyor was 1/3 full at the most. Most importantly, the taste was plain. I suspect they had owner changed. Customer service was way better. read more

Sushi on the belt looked old, avocado was brown. Then ordered 3 rolls non of which were good. Went to pay at the front and for some reason the cashier needed a manager to accept my cash payment. Waited for probably 5 minutes to pay for a terrible meal. Will NOT be going back. It used to be so good! read more

This place is pricey. I got 4 plates and it came to $23 with tax and tip. It's true, the prices are really hard to tell when they have the price plates in the back corner. Some rolls are small and some are a decent size. After I left I was like "man, I spent $23 on that?" read more

My husband and I go there almost every Friday since moving back to the eastside, and we love this place. You need to know what to order and what NOT to take from the conveyor belt. We have it down to a science. I recommend ordering straight sashimi from the chefs. You know it comes right out of the refrigerator, and hasn't been revolving. Even my husband's favorite rolls can be ordered from the guys, and come out fresh. Only get the edamame (sp?) that is steaming, thus hot. I disagree with what the other folks say about the service, they are great, and we never have to wait for our Asahi....or bill. We don't do much of the saucy/fancy rolls, just stick to the basic traditional dishes. I love the octopus cucumber salad. You can get the low sodium soy if you request it. As not being experience had a friend take me here that is more familiar to sushi and made me try her favorites as well she was adventitious and tried new things she never had before with me. The price was per plat by color and grab it from the conveyor belt. She told me that they shut down after lunch till dinner so they can keep everything fresh.It was pretty cheap and it i pretty much liked everything some textures i didn't like but i liked the rolls more.This place was pretty good and might go here again but this is my first experience of a real sushi place . read more

I used to work within walking distance of here so my co-workers and I would come here often. The sushi is fairly priced (lunch for around $12 for 3-4 kinds of sushi rolls) and it tastes good. The service hasn't always been desirable - hard to flag down a waitress for a menu (you can order items off the menu in addition to grabbing them off the conveyor belt), get beverage refills, etc. read more

No no - Isushi We used to love Isushi. Great selection, friendly staff.... The last time we went in to Isushi we had a group of 7 people. We have been going to this place since it opened and have really liked the staff. Well, we got a newbie and she was unbelievably rude. We were having a lot of fun and laughing. She wasn't friendly at all which totally egged on my husband and his friend :) The waitress just freaked out and refused to serve us I guess b/c we were having too much fun for her. I was in shock. We were in the back of the restaurant. Granted we were a little loud, but the restaurant was dead and we really are friendly people. Most of the people there get excited when they see my big goofy husband walk in the door. We are good tippers and super friendly. Not only was this waitress rude, but the quality of the food wasn't nearly as good as it used to be. We noticed this on the last few visits. No more Isushi for us for a while. We will stick to Suishiland in Bellevue and Redmond if we want a conveyor belt place. read more

They have raised the price higher again! we usually go because they are the only round about sushi place here but I'm not going to pay sit down restaurant prices for cold, low quality, small, not fresh, or old tasting food. After reading many reviews I was a little nervous about going to isushi but I have to tell you it turned out to be a great experience! We found the wait staff extremely friendly. They seated us quickly, brought us our drinks and came back several times asking if we needed anything else. The sushi is made fresh in front of you. The chefs were also friendly and one of them even asked us how we liked everything. All the food we had was fresh and well seasoned. Dinner for two was right around $30.00 which we though was very reasonable. We will definitely go back! read more

This is the first time I have tried conveyor belt sushi. I went with my two young nieces and they thought it was fun grabbing the dishes for the family off the belt, organizing the dishes, etc. But I'd never go here on my own without the kids. There are similarly priced sushi places that can make your sushi fresh. I had a tough time deciphering what was coming around the belt. And when we asked the chefs to make us certain items that we didn't' see come around, they would usually pull it off the belt rather than make it fresh. I could tell that a lot of the items were circling around for quite some time. With that said, the service was friendly and the prices were reasonable. read more

I agree with most of the other reviews that this restaurant is good but not anything special! The sushi dishes are range from typical to bizarre and you can always ask them to make a specific plate if you don't see it on the conveyor. My friends and I have gone here since it's opened because it's relatively cheap (depending on how much you eat/what plates you choose) and it has a laid back atmosphere. Definitely go to Sushiman if you're looking for the really good stuff, but if you want something quick with lots of variety then this is your place! read more

This is one of my favorite sushi joints on the eastside - clean, friendly service, great ambience, good selection and cheap! Sometimes cheap is not a good thing, I end up stuffing myself silly since I think I'm getting a great deal, and end up with a $30 tab anyways. Among other things, love their mango roll! Everything else is on par with other conveyor belt places, although sometimes the sushi chef's eyes must be getting smaller because I swear the slices of sashimi are getting thinner and thinner every time i go there. My other wish is they would upgrade their TV, the picture is a bit fuzzy, but i can live with that. read more

Great place for me, and my daughter can find things she likes too. They do some pretty creative (read: non-traditional) things with sushi here, and the quality is decent. It isn't the best in town, but it's also reasonable and tasty. Service is consistently good too. read more
