Don't know why there are so many biters out there but... I arrived at my cousin's around 9pm when we started craving pizza. Ordered chicken Alfredo pasta, Italian sub (comes hot and toasted FYI), and a large pepperoni and mushroom pizza. It took them a whole hour, but understandable for late Saturday night. My favorite part of delivery is when more food than you expect arrives! Food was super tasty- that Alfredo had so much taste and it even came with a side Cesar salad and garlic cheese bread! Italian Express showed up as one of the four vendors delivering to my office today through Foodsby. I ordered the chicken alfredo with angel hair instead of fettuccini. I've tried this at other places and they always end up forgetting to use angel hair. Normally I grumble about the $1.99 delivery fee for Foodsby, but it's freezing outside and I wanted something warm and hearty. When my food arrived (early! which is a nice surprise since sometimes the orders come late from other vendors), it was a huge bag. I only ordered the chicken alfredo (which they prepared the way I wanted, with angel hair), but it came with a small side salad AND a 7.5" cheesy bread, all for $10.99. This alfredo is SO good. It's kind of peppery, but definitely creamy and not super runny like some express places. Our pizzas are always difficult to order due to a food allergy in our family. We were given a 45 minutes estimate for the delivery and it took about 55 minutes, right on time! I ordered a large cheese pizza and a pasta dish. The pasta dish was a large portion and included a side caesar salad and cheesy bread. The cheesy bread was a generous portion and delicious. The food arrived an hour after I online ordered but it was super hot. The pizza tasted fine. Nothing too fantastic. I wish the pizza was a bit thicker. It's verging on thin crust. The response from the pizza store on consideration of the late delivery to offer a discount of any kind due to the additional delay was simony to reorder again due to the payment system not alerting him to offer a discount. BEWARE! This merchant posted a promotion on DoubleTakeOffers and did not honor it. The promotion had not expired when I called to redeem it. The business owner who answered my call was extremely rude (in the past when we have ordered also, he has been extremely rude, so no surprises there) and told me that he no longer honors any certificate bought from that site. When I pointed out that the certificate is well within it's expiry date, he started a rant against DTO and told me to call them and ask for a refund. This is my go-to place when I am in no mood to cook or go to a sit-down restaurant. This is a little take-out /delivery place in the corner of a shopping center in Coppell. You will probably miss it your first time going to the shop. It is next to the bicycle shop on MacArthur. I have only picked up, never had delivery service. Anyways, I have had the fettucine alfredo, and the lasagna and both have been good. The pasta entrees come with a small caesar salad and garlic bread the size of a personal pizza. The portions are good and I usually share with my fiancee. The owners are nice and called me back once when I was late picking up an order to make sure I was ok, and if I needed directions. I am not happy at all with this place. I called and informed them that I had a $3 off coupon for a large gourmet pizza. I ordered an Italian Supreme Pizza no Italian sausage and was told it would take 45 mins for delivery. It is delivered 25 mins past the promised delivery time and they did not take off the $3 coupon and also there is a $2 delivery charge. My pizza had Italian sausage on it . When I called to inform them of this I talked to the the manager/ cook who yelled at me and said that it is not sausage but ground beef. Got a flier on my door so I thought I would give it a try. My salad was inedible as it smelled like fish. Very, very fishy. There were also flecks of something on my lettuce. I couldn't determine if it was oregano or just plain unwashed produce. On to my entree... ravioli with marinara sauce. It was thick and chunky sauce that seemed like it came from a can. It was bland and smelled like celery. The raviolis themselves weren't terrible, but I don't think they were made fresh. Seemed store bought. The worst part was when I went to take a bite of my cheese bread. There was a hair baked into it. I lost my appetite and threw it all in the garbage. I never even opened the pizza box.
