This place has been a go-to of mine, but lately I've been disappointed. The food is decent, but there are better options in the area. Their sausage rolls are mainly bread, the sicilian is mediocre, and It's the only pizza I've ever eaten that occasionally doesn't sit well with me (and my stomach is made of iron! lol). Another annoyance is the the staff. I was just there recently. There are usually 2-3 gentlemen working, and for the most part, they're very nice! But there's one taller man that really rubs us the wrong way. He often spouts political views / opinions with a disregard for customers - sometimes to the point of being borderline insulting. I actually dined at this place twice during the summer and I truly enjoyed the cheese slice and Greek salad that I ordered. However, I ate here yesterday and I was thoroughly disappointed. The pizza was way too salty. I ordered a large pizza; half cheese, half sausage and onion. I didn't like that the onions were chopped and not sliced and the cheese was not as cheesy as it has been in the past; plus, it was too salty!!!! There is no shortage of pizzerias in White Plains, and if for some reason you can't find one within eyesight while downtown you'll find an Italian restaurant that serves pizza. I don't consider myself an expert when it comes to pizza in Westchester, I've tried several spots in White Plains to figure out what's good. Italian Pavilion was a major blind spot for me, so since we had multiple events to celebrate at work, I decided to order pizza from here to mark the occasions. I have passed Italian Pavilion countless times, it's on one of my walking routes and its old school aesthetic always catches my eye. It doesn't have a traditional pizzeria layout - almost being shaped like a horizontal rectangle that's curved inward. There are mostly light wood tones throughout with retro posters, a vintage menu board, and a touch of neon; I really like the vibe. The menu has typical pizzeria offerings - traditional pies with options to add toppings, specialty pies, rolls, and calzones. They also have some traditional Italian dishes and a catering menu. There were several of us so I decided to order two pies and a few rolls and calzones. I ordered a plain cheese to serve as a base, and also their fresh tomato which contained tomato slices, mozzarella and garlic with no sauce. The pies were pretty good - the plain cheese was solid but nothing outstanding; I liked the fresh tomato more. Crusts were good on both, but I was looking for more flavor in the plain cheese. The rolls and calzones were okay - they were generously filled but again I was looking for more flavor. Overall, Italian Pavilion is a solid pizzeria in White Plains. While it is not the best pizza I've had in Westchester, it's not the worst either. I would consider returning, but would probably want to try other spots first. read more

Italian Pavilion's Sicilian pizza is amazing! I had a craving and ordered a pie. It's crispy, very cheesy, and the crust is just crunchy and delicious. I love this place, and the consistency of the food is perfect. The past few weekends, I've ordered one when friends drop by in the backyard. Everybody raves about it. They work really hard and do a great job. The slices are huge! It's always been fabulous. I've been coming here since I was a kid. Perfectly acceptable pizza place on Mamaroneck with friendly staff. It's kind of a tight squeeze inside and no one is going to tell you the pizza is otherworldly but it was pretty standard NY pizza and at $3.50/slice (plain) about average for Westchester these days. read more

I Went in there today with my wife around 1:45pm. she had a beef patty with cheese I had a sausage pepper roll and 2 waters. came out to $12.50 paid with a $20.00 bill $7.50 was my change. Sat down to the right of the register and began to eat. I finished my roll and got up and ordered a plain slice not too hot. The guy behind the counter hands me the slice to the right of the register. I place it on the table and hand him $5.00 bill he gives me back my change. I sit down and eat. Meanwhile he's talking so much crap to someone about how people go to white plains and shop and he hates different people going there to white Plains etc..... making people uncomfortable especially me. Not a smart business move. anyway me and my wife get up and throw out our trash and leave. We get about 20ft from the door and the guy comes out yelling excuse me excuse me. so I turn around and he says don't you owe me money. I said excuse me he repeats don't you owe me money with a very aggressive tone. I look at him and say I gave you a $5 bill and you gave me my change back. He thinks for a second then he remembered and says you right my bad my bad then he goes in and never apologized. he should have never came at me like he was a tuff guy. I bet if I was a white customer he would have said something like excuse me sir I think you forgot to pay for the slice. Then again he didn't sound that educated and definitely not business minded at all. This is not the first time I feel a certain way in that pizza shop. I would recommend that all Hispanic Latin black and even white who don't like to deal with scum like this dont spend your GREEN money in there. it's not like he's going to spend his in a black or latin establishment with the way he was talking about people. So I ordered a slice with pepperoni, onions & peppers. As the guys puts cheese & on it I said I also asked for onions & peppers. He proceeds to put another layers on top of that with onions, peppers & more cheese. Cooked for 2 mins. Of course the first layer wasn't melted and it appeared to have a foot of ingredients on it with the middle not done. Needless to say after a few bites I wasn't satisfied. When I bought someone's attention to it he said you asked for all those things on it, that's how we make it. Ok I took my pizza & put it in the trash where it belonged. That will be the last $10.38 they will get from me (including a soda) If I attempted to eat all that cheese I would have been constipated for some time. Stop in last week looking for some pizza. The counter service was fine and the displayed pizza and rolls looked fresh. An eggplant roll caught my eye so I decided to try that along with a plain cheese slice of Neapolitan. I'm terms of taste I thought the slice was mediocre. Something about the crust I didn't enjoy but the overall flavor was good. This is your typical NYC thin crust, thin sauce, basic mozzarella slice. Its the neo-neopolitan slice. It's good and is one of the best slices I've had in White Plains. The crust isn't too floppy either. UPDATE: I recently had pizza at Mamma Mia's, Magnotta's and Italian Pavilion all in a couple days. I'd have to say that the 3 are VERY similar! Italian Pavilion is the most floppy of the slices. The other two are more crispy. read more

This is absolutely one of my favorite places to get a New York slice. It's not about how fancy the toppings and sauce are -- but the integrity of the slice. The pizza is served piping hot with a thin crust that's super crisp on the outside but soft and chewy on the inside. Thin crust, nice cheese to sauce ratio - and I recommend the sicilian. Their rolls, wedges and salads are all pretty good - typical pizzeria style. Not a whole lot of room to sit, but since we live very close we've always picked up and it always looks like most patrons are doing the same.
