Boba Time locations are found in the most random places in the city. Not just Los Angeles but all nearby cities as well. Sometimes when traffic is bad, I have to take another route, and I always pass by this plaza, and I saw that Boba Time was nearby where I live (Silverlake). Although Boba Time is not the best place to get boba, it's one of those places that holds a lot of memories with my old friends. Not going to lie, sometimes I crave the artificial cheap drinks over fancy, handcrafted boba drinks that go for almost $8 for one. So I decided to stop by to fulfill my craving for Thai tea. I was so happy that they had parking because it is located right across the street from LACC, and parking can be difficult. Having parking in its own private plaza is definitely a plus. I walked in to look at the menu to see if there was anything else I would rather get over Thai tea, and the staff was very friendly and patient. I went with Thai tea with less sugar at 50%, and it was the perfect sweetness for me. I finally made my way back and my oh my it has completely changed since it's standing-room-only-line-out-the-door-no-food-one-store-only-guys-only-working-basic-boba-drinks boba place. Seriously though, it used to be just one business with no seats and then they expanded to the second business next door with a few seats and some desserts and now they have taken up one side of the plaza with plenty of seats and boba snacks! I am amazed how to see this place has developed so much over the years. It is the busiest Boba Time location so that means prices are bit steeper than the norm. The quality of boba and food I feel has gotten better since my last visit here. However, what hasn't changed is the parking here is still terrible no matter what time it is. read more

I don't think there's been a day where I wasn't in the mood to sip flavored teas through colorful straws and further reinforce my Asian status. We selected this place based on reviews and location - it was the closest to our lodging. The mango green tea was absolutely delicious and so fragrant thanks to the flavor of jasmine - it was my first time tasting that combination and now I wonder why it doesn't happen more often. I like to suport local businesses in the neighnorhood and I think that it sucks that this chain boba store will be taking away a lot of their customers... They are located next to a donut store, yoshinoya and across the street from McDonalds. It's hidden and very small. There is no sitting area inside and the parking lot is teeny tiny and horrible. I always look forward to a Boba Time whenever I'm west of DTLA! Boba Time (oops, I mean It's Boba Time!) has come a long way since it's flagship store on Vermont and 7th street. I recall fondly the memories of grabbing a milk tea boba and sharing conversations with my friends even before the store doubled in size... oh sorry I got carried away talking about the wrong location. Anyways, my point is that the 704 N Vermont location, though on the same street and just a few miles more north, is now a lot more convenient for me since it's on my commute. However, the parking is horrible. I could never find parking in the lot and always resort to street parking. I've tred the milk tea with boba several times so far and have no complaints. It's consistent to all the other It's Boba Time locations I've been. One minor complaint is that the stamp cards are not interchangeable among locations. I understand it's probably because of the way the franchise work but it would be nice if they offer 5 Stars program or some other cardless loyalty program to draw back returning customers. COVID 19 Review: I'm always in the lookout for a new boba spot to try out! This location is the closest boba spot near my job...and lucky for me...it's (always) BOBA TIME!!!! They also do have a stamp card program valid for this location only. This location is near LACC and Koreatown so I would have expected it to always be packed, but because school is online and due to COVID, I feel like the lines are non existent. Parking can be a hassle depending on the time of day, but every time I've gone, I have been lucky to find a spot. I have been here a few times lately and there has only been two or three people ahead of me on one occasion. There is a COVID customer capacity of 3 people in the store, so I did wait outside one time, but the line moved quickly. I tend to stick to my favorites, so house milk tea, thai tea, or coffee milk tea with boba are my classic go-to's. I haven't had a bad boba in years. The first sip I had tasted like bad alcohol (my fault because I didn't mix the sugar).
