Amazing. The owner was the kindest man. Accommodating. Even helped us with our luggage. You dont find that kind of service much anymore. He really cares about his customers.

He offered us a glass of cider and beer on the house. Very kind

Our Tiki room was so cool. We like to take road trips often. The carpet was so clean, there is a no shoe policy. I appreciate this so much. Smelly dirty carpets are my nightmare. The entire room was clean. After a long drive we really appreciated the comfortable bed. There was a microwave and mini fridge in the room. The tiki game and record player were definitely a plus. We recommend 1000% and will return. Thank you so much for your hospitality.

I had the pleasure of staying in the Star Trek room at the Itty Bitty Inn for two nights in May, 2025. I rolled in on a Wednesday afternoon with a solid case of travel-related brain fog and as soon as I unfolded myself from the driver's seat I encountered the charismatic and ridiculously charming innkeeper, Rik. Rik was full throttle energy, equal parts witty and welcoming, giving strong Elliot Garfield vibes. He launched into a discussion about Star Trek and before I could fully steady my bearings he flashed the Vulcan salute (Live Long and Prosper!) and announced "Let's go!" Being slow on the draw in that particular moment, I awkwardly threw down a hand gesture that looked more like a peace sign. Oopsie. But Rik pretended not to notice and off we went to see my room. The Star Trek room was a legitimate mid-century lollapalooza complete with sound effects from the bridge of the SS Enterprise, a myriad of colorful blinking lights, old Star Trek episodes for late night viewing, a Cyrano Jones tribble and other memorabilia including a communicator, a 3D chess board and a phaser (on stun, of course) in case you encounter a Klingon in the parking lot. There were MANY more fascinating details which you should check out for yourself! My room was cozy and very clean, with fresh towels delivered daily and plenty of hot water. I have no complaints! Rik was a font of local knowledge, with excellent suggestions on what to do and where to grab a bite around North Bend. I went hiking at Golden and Silver State Park, which was muy tranquilo. If you are looking for off-beat lodging that defies the cookie cutter standard or if you are a connoisseur of mid-century culture, then Itty Bitty Inn is the straight-up bomb. Certified FRESH!

We stayed at six different places on our recent Oregon coast roadtrip and the Itty Bitty Inn was by far the best experience! There are only five rooms (all themed) and there was only one available for the dates we would be there so, while my husband initially hoped for the Tiki Lounge Room, I was thrilled that we ended up in That 70's Room! After all, we both grew up in the 70's! This was a walk down memory lane for us both. Owner Rik met us when we arrived and he is one of the most fun, kind-hearted, knowledgeable people you would want to meet in Coos Bay! He has so many local stories to share and recommendations to make your trip perfect. He walked us to our room and gave us our key (room "1978") and proceeded to tell us about all the special features available. There were 70's movies available to watch - he turned on the TV and "Smokey and the Bandit" was cued up, he showed us the 70's music we could play, he demonstrated how to turn on the disco ball (yes, a disco ball with lights!) and, most importantly, he showed us how to work the Atari game player! It was the same Atari player that my husband had when he was a kid! Perfect! We played Frogger, Space Invaders, and Galaxian (my husband ended up playing all eight games available during our stay). We felt like nerdy kids again! Rik is a wealth of information. If you end up in this room, ask him about the artwork by Emily Ashworth that adorn the walls. And make sure to take a look around the room - Rik really went in for the details in this room - from the macrame plant holder to random family photos of people in the 70's. He also brought us welcome drinks (cider for me, beer for my husband) and freshly ground coffee in the morning. We didn't end up using their free to use bikes because Rik gave us good recommendations for hiking and sightseeing that required driving, including the "secret" Yoakam Point beach that is accessible via a rope assisted descent. It was gorgeous! What a treat to have stayed here! Thanks so much for all the fun, Rik (from your angels)!

"Sometimes a feeling is all we humans have to go on." -- Captain Kirk The Itty Bitty Inn is like no place you've ever stayed. Vacation is calling (loudly) and you need to come visit. Truly this place is unbelievably awesome! Immediately after being captured by the charm, you'll notice the attention to detail, combined with impeccable customer service and geekiness galore! Trekkies and Kitsch fans will love every square inch and with multiple themed rooms to choose from, none will disappoint. Aside from the awesome decor and staff, the beds are also super comfy and pillows firm and new. The toiletries provided are also something special, as they are made by a local artisan. The Itty Bitty Inn offers delicious fresh ground coffee, cold beer and lasting memories to their guests; you cannot beat this experience. Stayed for 2 nights and will 100% return in the future. Thank you Itty Bitty Inn for an "Out of this World" experience and memories to last eternity.

Rik, the proprietor was very accommodating and friendly. We could've talked to this guy for more hours than there is in a day. He was fun to talk to and very knowledgeable about businesses and lodging on our route. We stayed in the awesome Tiki room on 6-21-2024. It was the last room he had open and wasn't quite ready to rent it out as some work was being done on it. But he gave it to us anyway and with a discount. 5 stars isn't enough and if ever we are back that way we will stay there again. I highly recommend staying at the Itty Bitty inn!

It started with Brandy who took our reservation. Extremely nice and gave us some great tips about the area. We were visiting for the first time. It was a total chill experience. Easy to go down the elevator and hit the casino. We went to a Billy Nation concert at the casino. They are a cover band for Billy Joel. The guy sounded better than Billy Joel! Ate at the Timber restaurant three times for breakfast and it was very good. Clean place. Pool is really nice and has two hot tubs. There is a walkway out the back door with a beautiful view of the water. I got my steps in walking down the promenade. Joe, the guy who maintains the lobby is a hell of a nice guy. Always had a "Hi Mike" to me and asked if I needed anything. Joe is extremely proud of his job and had nothing but good things to say about his employment there. 19 years and the guy is still happy going to work. That's the kind of stuff that makes me feel good about people. Great guy. Laura who works in housekeeping took care of us. She knows her job and isn't afraid to step in and help. Great work ethic. Our kids and their friends go to the Oregon Dunes to ride their Can-Ams and quads. We decided to leave our camper home and stay at Ko Kwel. So happy we did.

Our Priceline Pre-paid price for 2 nights was $169. Pictures attached pretty much describe our dinky room. 1. Our beautiful view of the bay from the bathroom. Unfortunately the fan didn't work so our exquisite views were horribly limited. 2. A mirror over the sink designed for short people. The mirror is functional as it does reflect just fine. You just have to bend over. 3. A circa... perhaps1972 gorgeous vintage chair most likely refurbished with gorilla tape...perhaps in 1994? I now realize I could have paid a bit more and reserved that luxurious "queen room with sea view" and even gotten a bit more space to walk around the bed. Check-in went smooth. I walked in the small lobby looking for a bell but there is none. Within a minute a dude walked in and gave me an actual metal key. The dude is also the housekeeper and seemed to be out of breath. But he was a nice guy. There was some gagging and coughing from someone next door. Other than that, the main noise was from cars and trucks along highway 101. Thankfully, there were no drunken fights, screams, known drug deals or cops called during our 2-night stay. So why the 2 stars when honestly nothing really went wrong? I suppose I expected a bit more. No...not more like Days Inn or Travel Lodge quality. But a bit more like maybe consider the clientele doesn't value that vintage 1970s taped up chair? The room smell was just...creepy. Like a bad smell where no spray is going to work. Actually, that is why our room doors were open when we arrived LOL. Or maybe consider re-setting the bathroom mirror so anyone over 5'7 doesn't have to bend over? Oh yeah...when you sit on the toilet it reminds me of sitting on my chair in 1st grade. My guess is that this is a vintage toilet from the late 60s. Entertainment: You could probably take a hike up to the top of the McCullough Bridge and watch a ship pass under the bridge or maybe the Coos Bay Railroad swing span bridge that rotates 90 degrees to allow 3 trains-a-week train traffic over the bay. Grub: Hilltop House is nice, but I haven't dinned there since the 80s so take caution. Moms Kitchen is a better bet for breakfast or lunch. Be prepared to wait... If you can't wait, then I suggest the Pancake Mill.

Other reviewers seem to be expecting an upscale modern motel such as a Ramada or Hampton Inn or the like. THAT IS NOT WHAT THIS IS! When I traveled with my parents in the 60's this was exactly the accommodations we stayed in. The Bay Bridge Motel is absolutely NOT a motel. It is a roadside inn and IMHO the owners are missing a bet by not advertising it as such. The only thing missing is a parking lot full of classic cars. (I tried to help by bringing my 40 year old Porsche.) And the view... OMG, the view. The room rates? Let's just say that they were extremely affordable and that there's an espresso kiosk right over there. We WILL be back!

The living room on the road frontage side is also well furnished, an oversized arm chair, love seat and matching couch with an entertainment center hosting several board games, an electronic fireplace and a flat screen TV with multiple channels. There is even an old style working rotary dial telephone! Out the back door onto a nice sized deck, there is a small table with two chairs and a full sized gas grill for outdoor cooking that over looks the bay. Following the stair case down you walk down the path and you will find yourself on 249' of private bay side water front beach. Downstairs storage there are several sizes of mud boots, crab pots, clam digging equipment and a couple of bicycles for use while staying. All in all this is a great little place to get away and relax on the water. Close to town yet far enough away to feel private. The only downside to this little gem, the road traffic noise, in the winter I'm sure it's nothing but during the summer it starts early and goes late. Still a great place to stay and in comparison to the area hotels and motels is a bargain! A solid 4 star stay and we will visit again. 00244
