I've been here multiple times and im absolutely obsessed. Incredible price point IMO. The restaurant is clean. The staff is v polite. Service is quick. It's nothing super fancy. Casual. Clean. My last order: Xiao Long Bao Cha Siu Bao Shrimp wonton with chili oil Edamame Egg custard buns Chicken over rice Bento box All for $54.68 And a 10 min wait for pickup.

Always great food here. The new shrimp toast menu addition is excellent. Very unique....haven't had it anywhere else before. Nice to see them be pioneers with new menu items. Make sure you use the extra sauce that comes with the shrimp toast.

Ok! After years of procrastination and because of the horrible parking situation I'm finally in! My tastebuds have been longing to taste the reason why LA Eater has this place on the hit list if you're in Hollywood. So onward, I ordered the Xiao Long Bao which was a five piece juicy as Fug ground pork dumplings with cabbage and ginger. Next up was the Har Gow shrimp dumplings that was also fire. So far so good. I also got their Pork & Shrimp Siu Mai along with some Sesame Balls. Ok now I'm a believer but then again I was a believer when I walked on in and smelled the goodness. Believe it or not it was way cheaper than a restaurant and I'm all good with that especially these days man. The customer service though, I'm just not going to go there but whatever, sometimes you can't have it all. And that's my take on this dumpling adventure, Peace out...

Driving down Sunset we spotted lxlb and remembered how much we enjoyed their Dim Sum. We circled the area a bit to look for parking and almost gave up when we realized there was plenty of metered parking across the street at a cost of $1 an hour. We were greeted when we walked in and decided to order off the pads available along the wall. There is now seating available inside. So we decided to eat in. We tried the Shrimp and Pork Siu Mai, Shrimp Dumplings, BBQ Pork Buns, Shrimp Won Tons with Chili, Xiao Long Bao, Pinapple Custard Bao, Pickled Cucumbers, and Custard Tarts. Overall, it was good. But, not as delicious as the last time we ate there. I wouldn't go out of my way to eat here. I would skip the Shrimp Dumplings. Some of the shrimp had a strange texture. Also, the texture of the skin on the Xiao Long Bao were too thick. Great customer service and the desserts and Shrimp Wonton with chili are worth ordering.

Pineapple buns are among my favorites to get at Chinese bakeries, so I was so excited to wander into this local cafe. Their bread ranged from a number of different buns and pastries. Ordering is quick and easy with a kiosk and then you just wait for your order. There are some seats to eat indoors as well. The buns were huge and had lots of custard filling inside. The crust was a little bit dry but it might have also been because I ate it a day later. If you're more into tarts, the egg tarts were super moist and the crust had the perfect slightly flaky texture. I would love to come back to try their other dishes. I recommend checking them out if you're in the area!

Wow!!! Can't believe I had never stopped here before! The food was bomb! Not to mention the customer service! We were greeted as soon as we stepped inside. I really enjoyed the self order computers, where you can see images of each dish. It wasn't busy when we came so food came out quick. The place was also super nice and clean. There's a private valet parking lot in the back, tip based! There's guy working the lot was also very sweet and kind. So excited to come back!

Go to the restaurant! DO NOT get this delivered!!! Dim sum just does not travel well!!! I do wanna say that everything came packaged and marked very well but we really disappointed in the things we ordered The Chinese broccoli was perfectly cooked. The chow mein and the scallion pancake were so oily, we couldn't eat them. The har gow was huge but pretty rubbery by the time it got to us. And the soup dumplings were just over cooked and stiff. Sadly, we didn't enjoy it.

Long have I heard the tales of Ixlb Dim Sum Eats and finally my path was able to perfectly cross with them for a lovely dinner. The place was packed and after ordering at the counter, we got the last open seats. It's such a busy spot on a busy Sunset Blvd corner. The prices and quality at Ixlb are just great! It was $6.39 for 4 Chicken Siu Mai packed with sweet corner and ginger. I was so in love with these and they surprisingly filled me up! Pretty much my perfect quick dinner. I also tried one of my friend's classic Cha Siu Bao. It was filled with tons of chopped BBQ honey roast pork inside of the softest bao. It was perfect, serving up three for $6.25. They are more take out centered & counter service, but if that's what keeps the cost so low, I'm down. A million bonus points because as quick and casual as this place may seem, we saw the cutest Grandma who seemed to be running the show. I'm down with it. They have a second location in Westwood. I'd definitely return, loved the food and prices, plus I still need to try the namesake from here - xiao long bao !

IXLB delivers well executed Chinese comfort food. The pork buns were substantial, three for $7 with a soft, pillowy exterior and a flavorful, juicy filling. The pork and shrimp shumai were generously sized and had a satisfying bite. The pork over rice was hearty, well seasoned, and balanced in texture. Portion sizes were impressive for the price, and while I over ordered, every dish was well prepared and enjoyable. A solid choice for classic flavors done right.

This fast casual dim sum spot in the heart of Hollywood made it onto KCRW's food critic's radar with good reason. The staff is friendly and you order on tablets or online. This place while pricy rivals the dim sum spots in SGV and I will definitely be looking into doing more take out. The scallion pancake was our favorite and the standard shui mai and baked baos would have met PoPo's approval.

The only miss for me was the egg roll--it came out pretty soggy. The menu is a little more limited since it's mainly focused on takeout, but there was still plenty to choose from. Store was clean and service was fast, which made the stop easy and convenient. Only thing to keep in mind is there's no dedicated parking. We ended up using either street meters or a nearby lot for about $4. Overall, really solid spot for quick and authentic dim sum takeout at a very reasonable price.

So I always try not to hold that against a place because food is obviously best when you eat it there fresh. That said, the pan fried noodles were easily my favorite thing we ordered. Those held up the best and still had good texture by the time we got home. The chicken was good flavor-wise, but there was definitely more bone than chicken, especially on the legs. One cool thing though: when my partner went in to grab the order, they watched them carving the chicken fresh before packing it up. You definitely don't get that kind of thing ordering through Uber Eats. The soy sauce chicken (not pictured) was also solid, and honestly this is a great spot if you want food that'll stretch into leftovers for days. We probably got at least four more meals out of everything. Still... it didn't fully scratch that Chinese restaurant itch for me the way SGV spots do. But for the area? Still a pretty good option.

We had two orders of slippery shrimp, kung pao chicken, eggplants with hot and spicy garlic sauce, juicy steamed dumplings, and pork fried rice. Overall, both restaurants in Chinatown and Pasadena provide great food quality. The ambience was cozy with dim lighting. Our round table had a wooden rotating tray. They have pictures of celebrities and politicians who've visited their restaurant. Service was relatively quick, but there was a 20-minute wait for the dumplings. Valet parking can get difficult when the lot gets full. A few cars entering the narrow driveway had to reverse out of the way to let others leave. The kung pao chicken was very tasty with a good amount of spice. I noticed that the slippery shrimp didn't taste as spicy as the portion from Pasadena. Reviews say that the spice is adjustable. Regardless. it tasted great as it came right off the pan. The pork fried rice was delicious with a savory flavor that didn't seem overpowering. I thought the juicy steamed dumplings were the weakest dish out of our whole order. There wasn't enough flavor and heat from the broth.
