I don't know how we have lived in the area for 10 years and this was our first trip to J Alexander's. First the service was awesome. Parker our waiter was friendly, helpful and made sure we felt special on our first visit. In addition every person who walked by assessed the table and took care of our needs (water, refills, clears plates etc). That teamwork made the experience even better. The restaurant itself was cozy and relaxing with a great ambiance. The food was excellent! Probably the best calamari I've ever had, steak cooked perfect and what a yummy espresso martini then to top it all off the carrot cake was to die for. We will definitely be back.

They have Rattlesnake pasta on the menu for good now!!! Awesome!!!! Love it ! It's a delicious dish! And with toast! You won't be disappointed!

I forgot how good j Alexander used to be.. well every-thing was amazing! The ribs were coming straight off the bone.. the slaw just right and who doesn't love show string fries!? The carrot cake was served warm!! Sooo good! Shot out to our server Tyler, he was amazing answering all of our questions and served us with smile!

A real pleasant alternative to the top tier priced steak houses around here. The feel wood interior makes dining cost (even still used a real candle). Drinks are generous and meat cooked over wood fire is I think unique style in the area. Wait Staff are Friendly without being intrusive. Be sure to make reservations because even on Tuesday they are near full by 6pm (we went at 5 to get ahead of the dinner crowd).

Absolutely a solid choice with a great diverse menu with steaks and sush. Great beer and contail menu and superior table service especially from Mary. A can't miss dining experience.

My first time here. Visiting for a week in CO and my friend said they had good French dips so we went for lunch. Probably in the top 3 of all French dips I've ever had. They definitely do not skimp on the meat, and it's cooked perfectly...slightly rare just how it should be. The fries were also excellent. Thin and crispy. The photo you are seeing is half of the sandwich and half of the fries, very large portions! Service was friendly and quick, our waiter Brian was very attentive.

From the moment you walk in you will wowed by the atmosphere and decor of the restaurant. Our party of 5 was served by Barney. He helped us select from the menu and was very helpful in our making some great choices for our Dinner. We selected the Steak Rolls, Steak Burgers, Roasted Chicken Salad and Shrimp Louie Salad. We paired that with a CLINE ZIN wine for an epic meal. For desert we ordered the Carrot Cake and Chocolate Bundt Cake and both were large enough to share with our entire family group and very delicious. The menu is vey diverse from steak to sushi and everything in between. You owe it to yourself to try J. Alexander's, you'll be glad you did.

The atmosphere is fantastic--sophisticated yet incredibly welcoming--but the food and service are what truly set this place apart. Our server, Shannon, was absolute perfection. She was over the top with her kindness and went out of her way to make sure every accommodation was met. Service like hers is rare and made the night feel truly special. The Food: * The Steaks: We had the Filet Mignon (served over savory mushrooms) and the Bone-In Ribeye. Both were cooked to a flawless sear, incredibly tender, and topped with a rich compound butter that took them to the next level. * The Sides: You have to try the Jalapeño Creamed Corn. It's velvety, sweet, and has the perfect hint of heat. We also loved the fresh shrimp and balsamic-glazed avocado salad. * Dessert: We finished with the Strawberry Cheesecake on a chocolate crust. It was the perfect, decadent end to a beyond-delicious meal. Between the world-class steaks and the legendary hospitality from Shannon, Manning's is a 10/10. Do yourself a favor and check it out!

If I could give a 4.5, I would, I think that's right on the money. The drinks were nice, the food was good, and the service was great! There were some very minor things that could use improvement in the food-- but I'm being VERY critical. The server was bragging about how nice and "not tough" the octopus is, so we made sure to get that for an appetizer. But it came plated a little sloppy, and I felt it to be pretty tough (not chewy), just tough. But the steaks were a highlight! We shared the filet flight. All three were very very good. One person at our table was vegan, and they catered to her very well. Her entree of a vegan risotto was actually the most beautiful plate on the table, and had some excellent flavors! The duck fat fries earn an honorable mention. They have some sugar on them, so they're sweet-- very interesting, but delicious. All in all, I had a great time, and the service pushed it over the edge. And the food was very well done, too. I'll be back here for dinner, annually, but back for happy hour more often. Thanks & Cheers! And see you next time!

Attentive, professional, and friendly without being intrusive. That set the tone for the whole meal. Most of the food was outstanding. The crispy Brussels sprouts with parmesan were perfectly charred and seasoned. The shrimp cocktail was fresh with plump, well-cooked shrimp. The hamachi crudo was bright and clean with a nice kick. The mac and cheese was rich, creamy, and real comfort food. A couple of small misses: The bread on my French dip was over-toasted and very hard, almost like a crouton, which made the sandwich difficult to eat. And the wait time for food was a little long for a lunch service. Still, the overall experience was terrific. They finished strong with warm chocolate chip cookies topped with sea salt that were truly amazing. I definitely recommend Guard and Grace. Despite two small issues, the quality of the service and most of the dishes make it worth a visit. I will be back.

Absolutely Exceptional…read more Jack's on Pearl exceeded every expectation. As Texas transplants, we've enjoyed some incredible steakhouses over the years and have traveled extensively, but this was truly one of the best dining experiences we've had. We even drove up from Colorado Springs for our 18th wedding anniversary, and it was worth every mile. We started with the wedge salad, which was fresh, crisp, and packed with flavor--easily one of the best wedge salads we've ever had. The warm bread service was incredible and paired perfectly with the house-made spreads. The mac and cheese was rich, creamy, and absolutely unforgettable. The highlight of the evening was the Wagyu steak topped with cheesy potato croquettes. It was cooked to perfection and so tender it practically melted in your mouth. Every bite was packed with incredible flavor and was one of those dishes you continue talking about long after the meal is over. What impressed us most was that every single item we ordered was exceptional. The quality of the ingredients, attention to detail, presentation, atmosphere, and service were all top-notch. After reading some of the reviews beforehand, we weren't sure what to expect. In our experience, this restaurant is incredibly underrated. Our meal, service, and overall experience were outstanding from start to finish. If you're looking for a special dinner, anniversary celebration, or simply one of the best meals you'll have in Colorado, Jack's on Pearl is absolutely worth the visit. Wine list was a lot shorter than I sort of expected from a place called a "wine bar." The malbec I ordered a glass of was fine; my wife's rose champagne was very nice and dry. We tried a couple of apps to see if we wanted to order dinner. The polenta fries were dry. The Korean pork tidbits were tasty but just little chunks of pork in a bowl. Nothing drastically wrong with either, but not anything particularly inspiring, either. We decided to have dinner elsewhere. SERVICE: Friendly, but felt pushed to order something *right now*. The receipt came with QR code for payment through Toast. It wasn't clear if I should pay through that, or wait for her to take my card. (I used the QR code, and the waitperson then wandered over (to get my card, it seemed) and seemed surprised and very relieved I'd used the QR code, which saved them so much work. AMBIANCE: Nicely decorated place. They apparently do a number of events, and when we were there, a big party was going on in the front half of the dining room, which was fairly noisy (and the crowd of which spread across the entrance). NET-NET: Not a great experience -- not bad, strictly speaking, but there's a lot of other places I could have gone. I'd eat there again if a friend recommended meeting there, but given the many choices in downtown Englewood, I wouldn't pick it again on my own.

I was hesitant to get the lobster dish because it's such a low chance that a lobster dish is actually going to taste as good because it's a very difficult dish to perfect but I can confidently say it's probably one of the best ones I've had. The tomato base sauce with celery and chile with the lobster is the perfect combination. I do have to say a DISCLAIMER if you're not good with spicy food it's not for you. It has a pretty strong kick throughout the eating process so do not get it if you can't handle spice. Other than that, it's one of the most flavorful seafood pasta dishes I've ever had. I tried my partners lamb rigatoni and they truly perfected the rendering of it in the sauce and it's such a perfect overall dish with a good serving for rigatoni in general. If you're extra hungry, I would get the cheesy potatoes, they are perfectly crispy on the outside and nice and warm on the inside with the perfect amount of cheese and salt flakes. To close the night, we, of course, got the tiramisu which was very well made. Now, I have been to Paris and actually had it with the best cream on earth so it won't top that. However, it is a close second and probably the best I've had in America. I highly highly highly recommend you try it out. The service is impeccable and Cassey was the best company to have around to talk about celebrations, house of dragon, and having a good night. Thanks for making my birthday a great experience!
