We were greeted by Corey, who was so kind and helpful. We had a handful of questions about jackets to helmets and he helped with everything! Corey was able to share his insight about his own gear, which helped us figure out what to select. My hubs got some new stuff too! Thank you, Cycle Gear and Corey! You made the process so fun and easy.

I did notice in the back room, there was no place for employees to sit and relax when on break or lunch. Also no shelves or coat racks or storage lockers so employees have to leave their expensive riding gear out for other employees to rifle through when nobody is looking! No shelves to put their nice helmets. Maybe your employees ride to work since they are obvious enthusiasts and just might ride in. How cheap you are and gross with greed. Spend $100 and I bet they would install shelving in their own time. Take care of your people and they will take care of you. Maybe your shrinkage rates will drop? What a concept. If you weren't the only motorcycle store around I would no longer spend my money there. Oh and your frequent buyer membership that you only allow discounts on your brands that you pay a fraction of the wholesale costs for is also gross! I don't want your made up crap that is designed for high profit gain. Greed Gear or fuck wipes motorcycle dear would be a better name. Sick shit what you corporations are doing to the people that provide your revenue for your multiple homes, Italian sports cars and 6 figure salaries. You make me sick. 4 stars is all you get cuz you'd probably take anything less out on the exceptional employees I've named. Knock, knock... go fuck yourselves.

great experience! Rob went above and beyond to get me into my dream bike. He actually packed up…read moreand met me quite a ways from the dealership, which made it possible to get the bike. He spent so much time over the weekend answering my questions and making sure everything was perfect. I picked up the bike which he prepared to be fully woods safe and legal and did it in 24 hours. Truly amazing experience. Thanks Rob! Now its time to rip!!

**UPDATE*** After…read morethe initial sale... things just kept getting worse. They sold me a used bike with only one key and never told me there wasn't a spare. After I asked about it, they told me they could order another for me... but I'd have to pay for it (lame). I said okay, but they never got the KTM registration card from the previous owner, so they couldn't order another one. Ok, great! I asked if they could help out because when I call KTM, they said I would have to go through the dealer. After numerous attempts of asking my sales rep for help--nothing. After 5 or 6 attempts, I got tired of asking. So, I'm stuck with one key. Hope I never lose it! Another thing that sucks... Trojan claims that their used bikes go under inspection. However, when I got the bike there was an issue with the brake squeaking loudly when stopping. Turns out a pad needed to be fixed. The horn was also not working. So, they sold a used bike to me without even know the horn was shot? Which leads me to believe nothing was inspected and there could have been many things wrong or broken. They were cool enough to come pick up the bike and fix it for me after the sale. Wish it would have been taken care of before! Unfortunately upon delivery of the bike, I had new scratches on the tail that were NOT there prior. Assuming it's from the strap used to secure the bike in their truck during transportation to and from the dealership. The scratches are on both sides of the tail, exactly where a strap would sit. Never said anything to me. If they would have offered to fix it, I wouldn't be updating this review to a one star. But here we are. I also had asked them to email me a copy of my previous bikes odometer statement. I traded in my used bike... and instead of paying off the loan balance for me, they made me contribute $500... just to get more of my money. Since $5,400k for the used KTM wasn't enough. LOL! I said screw it because I was already at the dealership coming from an hour away. And I planned on getting a refund on my old warranty that could help cover that loss. After a few emails back and forth, I never got the copy of the statement. Frustrating sequence of events. Wouldn't do business with these guys again. If you want to buy a motorcycle, here's my advice: buy from a private seller. You'll get a better deal and more honesty.

The owner, Alexander the Not so Great, cancelled an invoice on me the night before I was supposed…read moreto purchase a bike from his shop. When I contacted Alexander Samul the owner of the company he claimed he was not making enough money on the deal and I now needed to send him the money via zelle, cash app, or PayPal friends and family so he could avoid paying taxes and "keep it off the books" as he put it. What kind of legit business asks a complete stranger they've never met in person to send them 2800 dollars thru cash app to pay for a bike they've not even seen in person yet? He couldn't even stick to the agreement we made a mere 3 hours prior and canceled the invoice he sent me without telling me. This Owner of Detroit Moped Works lied to me and did not keep his word. He then tried to justify his lies by saying things change and we didn't have any type of legal agreement to purchase the bike. Where I come from a man's word means everything and this guy is giving small business's everywhere a bad name by not honoring the agreement we made. He then cried the blues about how he could barely keep the lights on and just needed to make payroll which seemed like a very odd and unprofessional thing to do for a business owner. I contacted him to purchase a bike not be his therapist. There was nothing complicated or personal about this transaction. I was trying to purchase a Bike from Detroit Moped Works a retail shop that sells bikes, mopeds, and scooters, why would that be so complicated for them. They tried to change their story later when I called them out on what they were doing by saying it was a personal transaction when clearly it was not. In fact the bike I was going to purchase is for sale inside his store Detroit moped works so why would it be a personal transaction. They sent me an invoice to pay for the bike that was from the company Detroit Moped Works, again not something that would indicate a personal transaction. The words "off the books" were his words not mine as you can see from screenshot below. If your intention was not to operate "off the books" then why would you say that and use those exact words? Sure sounds like the owner is lying yet again. They continued to lie about what happened by saying the invoice was revised, the invoice was not revised because I asked for an extra day, in fact it wasn't revised at all. It was cancelled altogether because the owner became upset and thru a temper tantrum because he said he wasn't making enough money. Cancelling an official invoice from the business and asking someone to cash app or zelle you personally so you can avoid the taxes and credit card fees is not what I call revising the invoice. This business says they operate with professionalism so why does the owner not show that same professionalism. The bigger question is why is the owner of Detroit Moped Works selling bikes from his own shop personally off the books? That does not sound like a legit business operating on the up and up to me. The invoice I received from him was from the company Detroit Moped Works. That would indicate it's NOT some type of personal transaction. I'll attach a copy of the invoice received from Detroit Moped Works to purchase the bike. I want to be very clear. This did NOT happen because of any type of miscommunication. The owner of Detroit Moped Works straight up lied to me and backed out of the deal we made because he was greedy and decided he wanted to make more money from the transaction.
