I took a star away because if the price is different at different locations say so in your adverts. I am on a budget this week, but it would not matter if I was not. I wanted some tasty junk food and that is Jack in the Box. I saw the advert for a 5$ meal. Great, I thought. It was $6. Now does the dollar upset me, yes, if I am told 5$ let's have that. That is my little rant--I am not happy about this though. Jack in the box is a huge chain and they are all pretty much the same. They have burgers, breakfast sandwiches, tacos, fries and really good shakes. There food is not even close to fine dinning. You do get about what you pay for. If you don't want fatting food, go elsewhere. I love all of it. They have these tiny tacos that come in a pack that are great. Are they filled with great things, of course not. They are little deep fried tacos with some meat in them and they are lovely. Their shakes are much better than most fast food places. They even have whipped cream on the top. They are very tasty. They have a nice selection of burgers and breakfast sandwiches. They even have great root beer. The service is always nice and the line moves fast. This time we got it through the drive thru and it was speedy. The area is kept clean and whenever we have been inside to eat it has always been kept super clean. Placed mobile order about 10min before arrival. Was the only person in drive-thru... Was excited that it was still being prepared, saw a lot of shuffling inside. Then was asked my name to verify order, even asked if he included the sauces I requested and was told "yes, got those!"... He asked me my name again and gave me the bag. All bags were taped closed. Got home and not only was it not my order, it wasn't even my name on the bag! The guy had just asked me! Got a bag for someone else...also not one sauce in the bag. Drive thru employee asked me to pull over to get my food from the parking lot because he got passive aggressive and couldn't get my attention even though my window was down. I went through the drive through tonight and the guy working was so rude. I asked for a Coke Zero and when I got it, it tasted flat as can be. I told the guy and he said "that's just how Coke Zero tastes" and I'm thinking to myself um no it doesn't. I asked for a new drink and he told me I needed to hurry up because this is a drive through...like obviously it's a drive through and I'm in a hurry myself...but if I'm going to pay $13 for a Buttery Jack combo I do expect my soda to not be flat and I also expect to not be treated poorly for speaking up for myself. I try to stay away from burgers like this anymore but the new Buttery Jack is actually pretty decent for a $2.50 burger on the coupon special. I did a 2 for $5 Butter Jack challenge and vote for the bacon swiss. the onion one is good but....bacon, come on. I've also admitted they have the best shake (cookies and cream) for the money anywhere. As for the fries or 2 for $1 tacos; you be the judge. The drive thru gets pretty packed at this location so I go in. Dining room is small but clean.The clerks are hit or miss, but it's probably training and turnover versus complete incompetence. A manager recently took an expired (by 2 days) coupon without question so that was bonus. Jack-in-the-Box is super convenient on nights after a long day when feeling too lazy to cook. They have burgers, tacos, salads, chicken sandwiches, and even dessert! They have other specialty items like jalapeno poppers, chili cheese fries made out of their seasoned curly fries...YUM! Their bacon cheddar potato wedges are super tasty! I love their salads. It's always fresh and crisp. I usually get a cheesecake for dessert but they have cookies and milkshakes to satisfy your sweet tooth. The service here is quick, like a fast food restaurant should operate...although, they sometimes make mistakes like forgetting to place an order or add an item that has been ordered into the bag. Lately it has improved. I love how they have you confirm if the order is correct and once again at the drive thru window. The inside is fairly clean. I love the idea where you can use a kiosk to place your order instead of ordering in person. It gives the customer a bit more control over their order and ensures accuracy. The staff is 99% of the time friendly... BUT be on the look out for that grouchy one percent. You'll know it when you hear a raspy, angry voice.
