I've grown up on jacks pizza, but the last year it has severely gone down hill. There pizzas are sometimes barely cooked, barely any toppings. The rest of their food is sub par, Unfortunately since this covid thing started its gone way down, all their great waitresses have quit and the owner seems to just not care. Dined at Jack's last night. My wife and I had the meatball pizza with honey dough and it was delicious! We weren't sure about it but the server recommended it and it really was very good. Nice and crispy crust and was baked perfectly. They had a nice selection of other dishes but we were not very hungry so we split the 10 inch pizza. The first time I had this pizza I took the first bite and was like damn this delicious! Now when I went back there was barely any sauce on the pizza, the crust and bread were dry whereas before it was nice and buttery I don't know what happened but I still bought it another two times hoping the original chef would be there but it was inconsistent every time. If you're into nice gluttonous cheese and toppings (without being greasy) then this is the place for you. I've been to many pizza places around the country and this is absolutely in my top 5 faves. They make pizzas the regular way, but after putting on cheese and toppings, they then put cheese OVER that. They don't even charge for extra cheese, as they say "we put it on anyway!" Ergo, pizza fantastico. Granted, the decor is not much to write home about. You don't dress up for this place. It's an old setting that obviously hasn't been redone since Carter was President, but that's half its charm. Play on an old pinball or Ms. Pac Man machine while waiting, or get a pitcher of beer or soda. Get typical toppings as well as linguica and even try their honey pizza (cheese pizza drizzled with honey, it is AWESOME). Prices are reasonable and you will not walk away hungry. If you're not up for pizza, they also offer appetizers, great kale soup, and some good Italian dishes. They don't always offer it, but if the baked spaghetti with meatballs and cheese is on the specials, GET it. It looks like a big cheesy football and is unbelievable, for $8 you'll have dinner for the next 3 nights! Pros: Great food! Very affordable given the quality and portions. Cons: Place is kind of run down, and sometimes the fountain soda isn't mixed right. read more

Went there on a Saturday to watch college football and basically had the whole half of the restaurant opposite of the bar to ourselves. As has been mentioned, the pizza was delicious, but what made it a real joy to kill a few hours at Jack's were the people. The owner came over a couple times to check on us to make sure we were enjoying ourselves, our waitress was a peach, and other waitresses checked on us as well. But the piece de resistance- they gave us the remote to the two TVs we were watching. Can't beat that! read more

Their pizza and chicken tenders and fries were terrible ! We ordered on a Fri. night to be delivered. The person taking the call forgot to ask he we wanted delivery; I had to call back with the address. Very slow and unprofessional. It came 1/2 after they said and the pizza was terrible ! First the girl put the ckn and fries on top of the boxes and crushed the 2 pizzas underneath and the pizza was hard, thin and burnt. I've had better frozen pizza's. My wife and I arrived at 7:00 on the Sunday night of Columbus weekend . Someone had the juke box blasting, so we ordered chicken tacos and salads to go. 20 minutes later, the waitress said they were out of chicken and couldn't make the tacos. We switched our order to clam chowder and salads. 15 minutes later, we hear the waitress telling someone in the kitchen that we had changed our order. A few minutes later, 2 lukewarm chowders and 2 salads, one missing the dressing, came out. While waiting by the bar, I heard the bartender say she was going to call a cab for a patron who seemed to have had too many. While he waited for the cab, the bartender served him 2 glasses of wine. We will not be going back there, even though the pizza we saw looked good. read more

"Jacks Pizza Hyannis" Pizza was good, but took nearly an hour for delivery. Pizza was lukewarm or cold when it arrived. The delivery girl was nice. The prices on their web site are wrong. It cost me more than the prices on web site, on both pizza and quahog. I also ordered a diet soda which was forgotten. I called and they said the girl would be right back with it. My original order was at 6:36 pm. The soda finally arrived at 8:10 pm, 40 minutes later. All of this cost me $ 28.47. I had not ordered anything there in quite some time and it will be a long time before I return. Sorry, not trying to be mean, but it was not a good experience. read more

Great pizza! The dough and sauce taste fresh and there is tons of cheese. The toppings are reall veggies - no chopped up frozen or canned junk and they load the pizza up with all the toppings - no skimping on the expensive ones. The burgers are huge and fresh, the calzones are awesome and you can mix and match fillings. The wings used to be better when they were a spicy BBQ whole wing instead of breaded pieces but they are still ok. read more

So I went here for a family gather, pizza was ordered, I remember coming here when I was a kid and just wanting to play video games, as an adult the games look weathered from many years of use. Cheese pizza came out, oh yeah I forgot how overly cheesy and lacking of sauce the pizza is, and the bread is very bready like I am eating cheesy bread but not pizza bread, overly greasy and just not what I look for in pizza. I also ordered their boneless buffalo tenders, all I know is that I have never had such salty blue cheese dressing in all my years of dipping chicken in blue cheese. There wasn't much buffalo sauce on it to begin with was kinda plain. Girlfriend got a burger and didn't eat it all cause it was just blah, and the fries were almost cold from the moment we had them placed on our table, staff is nice, thats about all i can say about this place. read more

Debbie started the conversation, after I had a couple of beers, about Hillary and Trump and lambasted me for having an opinion contrary to hers. I had paid the bill and had givien a generious tip and she proceeded to insult and belittle me and I rebutted in kind. Then she told me to leave and not to come back. She was for Trump and tried to humiliate me about my opinion. I think an employee of a bar should not tell me how I should vote or feel about candidates with the penalty of expulsion and banishment. read more

I love their honey pizza. That's why I go there. But the last time I got their honey pizza it was for delivery. When I got the pizza and tasted it, there was barely any honey on it. My sister also had some and agreed that there was no honey on it. I decided to call them back because I was very disappointed. I spoke to some really rude lady. I explained the situation nicely and asked if I could at least get a credit for another pizza or something. She put the chef on the phone and he adamantly said he put the honey on. He was argumentative and discouraging. Then the lady got back on the phone and said the best they could do is send out someone with a side of honey. What's the point in waiting another 45 mins for a tablespoon of honey. I then told her I was disappointed and she said well that's all I can do. I said thanks and hung up. I used to come here a lot, it was kind of an old fashioned hole in the wall with basic diner style food. Just got home from my first visit in a few years, and this review is being written on the toilet, so that should give you an idea how well it went. The cleanliness standard has clearly dropped, even for a place that wasn't exactly sparkling to being with. My glass of water had crap floating around the bottom of it and every dish that came my way had atleast one something or other on it. There were a couple dead moths in the windowsill next to the table. The nachos appear to be made using the same mozzarella cheese they put on the pizza. One edge of the nachos had beef stuck to it. Where did it come from? Could it have been thrown in fresh by accident, or did the cheese melt and pick up some old crap off an unwashed pan or oven? I have no way of knowing. The boneless buffalo wings were nasty. Thin, dry, hard on the outside and tough on the inside. Did not come out hot, which usually indicates they werent made fresh. I got through just a few bites. If i had to guess id say they were originally frozen, cooked yesterday or earlier, and reheated when i ordered them? Who knows. I didnt even want to out forth enough effort to argue i paid my check and left, but i won't be back. I understand Jack's isnt "fancy" by any stretch of the imagination, but my god. I feel like i was tricked. Jacks seems to have a cluster of oddball regulars and they may be better off just being a full on bar than they are trying to make this awful fucking food work. read more

I have been ordering the same thing from Jack's since I discovered them a few months ago. Only once was it made incorrectly and I still ate it out of hunger and the fact that one time happens. I have happily spread the word among my circle of friends about jacks fabulous calzones and pizza. Friends have ordered multiple times for lunch and dinner. However tonight will be the last time I bother with them myself. I ordered two hamburger calzones with American cheese, a small cheese pizza and a large with multiple toppings. Pizzas were great, however the two calzones weren't made to satisfaction. Both of the doughs were under cooked, not even close to tan, the meat inside was ground beef (meatball meat) oppose to my usual hamburger patty. When I called and spoke with Grace, the manager/owner I was told it wasn't meatball meat.. although it tasted like it was seasoned for that.. and that it's new dough.. I told her that it was still very much doughy.. and I wasn't happy with it even she wanted to try to convince me that it was hamburger patty meat.. her reply "so... You want me to send the delivery guy back to pick them up and recook them...?" I thought "omfg, after a 45 mins wait for delivery with 4 kids running around waiting.. no not really.." so I said "can I just throw it into my own oven?" She sounded delighted for me to do so because then it takes the responsibility off of her.. shej.says "sure, if your going to do that just preheat your oven.." then my husband interrupted me and made a pretty good point.. IF WE WANTED TO COOK IT OURSELVES WE WOULDNT OF PAID THEM TO DO IT. Her reply was "well we're not going to recook the hamburger because that's hamburger" so I asked for a refund, in which I got an attitude about. Waited over 25 mins with 3 kids of my friends that was here for dinner running around passed tired for the delivery driver to ask for the calzones back before he offered me my money. To sum this all up. Grace your a disgrace to Jack's great quality food. Because of you I will never order from jacks again and neither will my friend. Sure it's no big deal to you but I'll be sure to spread the word about this too. Your one star for the delivery driver willing following your every instruction upon return. found the pizza not greasy and very good..we had a liguica and honey pizza that was out of this world... I saw a salad go by our table that was huge and looked fabulous was very disappointed that I didn't order one.. My sister order a calzone that was huge and full of fresh vegetables.. we did notice some of their daily specials written on a board however we didn't order those.. my son got the 1/2 rack of ribs that were smoothered in bbq sauce and very tender and the price was just right... I totally recommend Jack's when you are in the neighborhood just likd their sign says "in the neighborhood tradition on Cape Cod" it almost reminded me of the sitcom Cheers for it really seemed as though everyone knew everyone that walked in the door. read more
