Ordered the chicken club sandwich and it was quite tasty. I ate half of it before I thought about taking a photo. Yum! Chicken breast, and almost candied bacon, onions, honey mustard, tomato, lettuce and light avocado on a bun.

One of my favorite things at Jack's is their ice tea. You can tell that it is freshly made, not out of a gun, and they clean the barrel that it is made in. And their hand carved turkey. Everything here is always great, but the turkey is always a plus. I had their turkey sandwich along with my fiancé getting the barbecue steak salad. For it being a steak salad, I would encourage more steak on the salad, but besides that, I have to say the food is always amazing. The service is always on par as well. Always recommend this place.

Service was great, helpful and energetic staff. My mother ordered the buffalo chicken salad (her favorite), and it was delicious. Full of celery, apples and carrots, very tasty, and Jacks has the best blue cheese dressing. The urban fries were good. I wish they added more chili oil and chili flakes though. Lastly, my bbq tritip. You can tell the bread and produce are very fresh, which really brings the sandwich together. The tritip is a bit too chewy, needs to be grilled a little longer, especially when made fresh for sandwiches. Good place overall, and would recommend to family/friends.

What a low quality salad for puck up! I had the same salad last night at the restaurant and decided to order it again for pick up and there was only lettuce! Check the picture. I wish I had ordered it on an app instead of on their website and got my money back!

Not only is this place close to the office but it's always my go to, when I need a good BBQ Try-Tip Sandwich fix ! Plus, I order a side of Jack fries. If you don't know about those, let me school you for just a moment. So these taste just like McDonald's fries except they are jazzed up with chili oil, chili flakes , blue cheese crumbles , blue cheese dressing and chopped parsley for garnish. IYKYK and if you don't well.... You ought to ! This is definitely a big sandwich , the fires you can share. But there are days when I just want the trip tip over a salad, which is pretty amazing as well. This location get quite busy during the lunch rush. I try to avoid those hours and show up 2pm ish when everyone is back to work.

    Good size portions.

We were seated on the darker side of the restaurant, while the other side seemed a lot more lively and bright, but it wasn't a big deal. We really enjoyed most of the food! We ordered the ribeye, Dakota chicken, chicken wings, and a side of fries. Personally, I wasn't a fan of the Dakota chicken, but my husband really loved it. The ribeye was delicious, and the rice that came with it was really good as well. The complimentary salad was fresh and tasty, and the bread was nice and fluffy. The beans, however, were probably our least favorite, very bland and lacking flavor. Funny enough, the chicken wings were the highlight of the meal for both of us! They were cooked perfectly and had great flavor. Our server was also wonderful, very attentive, friendly, and quick to bring anything we needed. Service definitely made the experience even better. As far as pricing goes, I didn't think it was outrageous, especially since the portions are pretty large. The one thing that felt a little steep was adding the shrimp scampi. I believe it was around $13 for only about 5 shrimp, which seemed pretty pricey. Overall, we had a great experience and would definitely come back if we lived closer!

For a moment, we thought we had walked into Ruth's Chris! I honestly wanted to leave, but I didn't want to embarrass my other half. She ordered the 16-ounce prime rib dinner for $48 and asked for it as rare as they were willing to serve it. I ordered the smoky bbq bacon Burger for $23 and requested it medium done. The first prime rib they brought out was surprisingly small, extremely fatty, and well done--not even close to what she ordered. My burger was also cooked well done. I ate it because I didn't want to wait for another one, but she sent the prime rib back. The replacement was much better and properly cooked, which is the only reason I'm giving two stars instead of one. The service was disappointing as well. My water glass sat empty for the last 30 minutes we were there, and nobody offered to refill it. She also tried the mashed potatoes for the first time, and we both thought they were terrible. They had a strange sweet, mayonnaise-like flavor that did not belong in mashed potatoes. Our bill was approximately $100 for one prime rib dinner, one burger, and no drinks other than water. At those prices, the food and service should have been much better. Unfortunately, we won't be returning to this location again.

If you cannot resolve a problem, or if it is an ongoing issue, you should escalate it to someone with the expertise and authority to address consumer concerns. Do not wait for customers to approach you after the situation has already deteriorated, especially when a flippant response has shifted the tone of the interaction. Another option would have been to table the conversation for a later time or on a different day until more information was available. What began as a discussion about a product concern quickly became focused on a employee instead of the issue itself. The manager appeared to become frustrated, stated to understand the main concern, yet responded with an unnecessarily intense tone and level of defensiveness. There was considerable deflection, repetition, and what felt like half-truths rather than a sincere effort to work toward a mutual solution. The manager should remember that they represent the Root of Happiness brand. We have been patronizing Root of Happiness for at least 10 years, long before the owners expanded to the Roseville, Midtown, and Rocklin locations. Additionally, over the last few weeks, the Justin's Peanut Butter Cups have seemed unusually dry. It may be the result of a bad batch from the vendor or the effects of extreme weather conditions impacting the product's quality.

The hostess greeted us with a question. "You ladies came to drink or to eat?" She asked. We came for both! We sat outside near the entrance way. It was a nice shaded corner and it gave some privacy from the plants that were decorated along the entry way. The menu was small and interesting. First hour is happy hour $2 off drinks and $10 off food. I'd say this place is perfect for drinks and apps. There isn't a big variety for entree's. But those appetizers were the show! Our Order: grilled riblets, garnish shrimp pieces, watermelon tomato salad beef sliders French fries and the blackened salmon. The ribs-10/10 fall off the bone seasoned well with some kind of green sauce at the bottom. The garlic shrimp- 10/10 in chili garlic oil with focaccia bread. Watermelon tomato salad- 10/10 feta cheese always takes the show! Beef sliders- 10/10 us just being greedy but so good. French fries- 9/10 decent portion! Blackened salmon- 8/10 compared to how flavorful the appetizer's were it made the salmon lack in taste. Something was missing but it was still good loved the coconut milk flavor in the jasmine rice! Between the awkward service and 1.5+ hour wait for food, this celebration didn't go the way we'd hoped. We had a 6:30 reservation for a party of 7 to celebrate my engagement with family visiting from out of town. We placed our order right away but didn't receive our food until after 8pm. To make matters worse, one plate was missing entirely, and that guest had to wait an additional 20 minutes for it to arrive. The server was apologetic about the wait and offered to comp our desserts as a gesture of goodwill, which we appreciated. When the final plate arrived, we were quietly discussing the $3 avocado upcharge among ourselves, since the tacos came with barely a sliver of avocado. The server apparently overheard us, because she returned moments later, silently set down a small plate with extra avocado next to our food, and walked away without a word. The gesture felt pointed rather than helpful, and it left the table feeling uneasy. The food and drinks themselves were decent. But by 8:45, we didn't want to wait even longer for the comped desserts, so I asked if we could have our drinks comped instead, since a couple of the cocktails were priced similarly to the desserts (which ran up to $16). The server seemed uncomfortable and said she could only comp two desserts, offering 10% off the bill instead. This wasn't what had been discussed earlier, but at that point we just wanted to wrap up the night, especially since my parents had a long drive ahead. Given the service, we'd quietly decided as a table not to leave an additional tip, only to find a 20% automatic service charge already added for large parties. This came as a surprise since it wasn't disclosed anywhere on the menu. It's a shame, because it's genuinely a charming space. Unfortunately, the service that night fell short, and it really affected what should have been a special evening.
