No, just no. I ordered the veggie sandwich and the hubby ordered the sonoma steak sandwich and we shared an order of garlic fries. It took about 20 minutes to get our sandwiches which is surprising considering the assembly setup they have at the order counter and the amount of staff behind the counter. It took another 15 minutes after receiving the sandwiches to get our fries. The veggie sandwich was unimpressive. There was more bread than anything and the eggplant had no flavor. The sonoma steak sandwich was ok, the grilled onions had some decent flavor to them. The fries looked great, but tasted like they had been tossed in oil after they were fried. Not good. I left my credit card at the Roseville location and I've tried to call them to see if they have located it. I live 10 miles from the location and there is no freeway to take me there so it is very inconvenient to drive there, especially if it is not even on the premises. I called their local phone number and there was no answer and their outgoing message says they are unable to accept messages at this time. I then tried another location to see if they perhaps had a private or secret number for the Roseville store and received the exact same outgoing message. I then proceeded to call every single location, all 8 of them, and EVERY single location did not pick up their phone. Every location also says they cannot receive messages at this time. I cannot believe that none of the stores answer their phone, and believe me, I tried them all many times. How can a business function like this? How do people put in orders to go if the stores do not answer their phone or take messages! I'm very disappointed. read more

It was a hot Saturday evening and I was alone so I ordered my salad to go. It was so noisy in the restaurant, I had to yell loudly to indicate what I wanted on my salad, then the salad guy yelled back to me, neither of us could understand or hear each other. It was so frustrating, so it was no surprise when I opened my salad and saw that I was missing the following items from my salad: Tomatoes, apples, boiled eggs. THREE items missing! The overly high price of this fresh salad makes this a "treat" for this retired lady, so I was especially heartsick to see I had paid a fortune only to be slighted. Then the amount of Ranch dressing poured on it made it soggy and unappealing. Oh yes, I ordered the tri-tip specifically requesting it rare and the tri-tip I received further upset me -- it was carved out pieces of meat from the very top of the beef roast with all the spices on it plus hard fat which I could only throw out. Of course, the meat was cooked well-done taken from the very top and it was SMALL PIECES, NOT SLICES like the customer before me received. Add to that, the plain slice of bread I paid for was so dried-out on one side, and I was afforded only one little pat of butter which didn't cover it. My plastic to-go meal container wasn't filled like a salad plate would have been had I eaten inside. Last time I ordered a chicken Caesar, steak salad, and a kids chicken strip, and a cheesy broccoli. My Caesar had oil as dressing instead of their creamy Caesar like they didn't stir it and there was a black hair in it. Our steak salad was missing onions and dried cranberries, our cheesy broccoli was missing and the kids chicken strip was two tiny burnt chicken strips that had been cooked so long my kid couldn't even bite them! Just got a chicken Caesar salad to go today and there was no chicken. We have always had good experiences eating at the restaurant but to go is really lacking and I'm very disappointed. I will never order to go again and with the objects I've found in my salad that shouldn't be in there, not sure I will ever go back to the restaurant either. Good food, good value for the money, friendly, cheerful staff . . . but the room is so noisy we couldn't hear the very patient server standing three feet away, and everyone in the place was yelling so they could be heard by the people sitting in the booth with them. I love going to Jacks, but this location is my least favorite. The meats are always dry and the toppings on the urban fries are so sparse they might as well be regular fries. Even when we have asked for and paid for "extra urban" they come out with what other locations put on just a regular order. The granite bay location better. Fabulous lunch here on Friday 4/4 with my friend. We were shopping in the area and popped in for a bite. I had the tri-tip with gouda sandwich and my friend enjoyed the turkey and cranberry. I have been to multiple jacks urban eats and jacks in the fountains is by far my favorite! Every time I have been there ive been meet with smiles and genuinely nice service, and of course AMAZING food. I have two small children and the jacks employees always always been very helpful and patient while my children take forever to order lol. I have ordered alot of different items off the menu and have even gotten some great recommendations from staff and its always delicious. Even when ive come in and its been packed they are very quick at bringing food out and im sure being that packed is stressful yet they continue to have smiles on their faces. Overall I am disappointed with my visit here today. I have been to Jack's before just not this location. The tri tip was undercooked, the mac and cheese was cold and lacking much cheese, and the pulled pork was more sauce that anything else. For my first time here I would have to say I am definitely not impressed the staff is pretty unfriendly for the most part. If you do go here i would not order the tri tip sandwich the meat was fatty and super chewy plus for ten bucks you should get more than one tiny piece of tri tip on your sandwich that is mainly bread I was never asked for my choice of bread. It was so sloppy the whole sandwich kept falling apart. They also charge 3 extra dollars for a side of fries on top of the ten for the sandwich just keep that in mind. I don't know what it is but there is a clear difference between this location in Roseville at the Fountains and the one in Natomas. Hands down this one is horrible. Its not the staff or the location its purely the food. The one in Natomas is way better and uses fresher ingredients. It almost seems like the one in Natomas or downtown sends them thier day old expired food. I eat Jacks almost everyday for lunch and I go between the multiple locations and every time I go to this one in Roseville the food is lousy and soggy and the meat even tastes cheaper and poor quality. I hate to leave a bad review but I have given this place way too many chances and spent way too much money here to get the same slop each time. Horrible location! Go to any other Jacks but this one!! Where to start- my boyfriend and I haven't been in for quite some time because they always mess up the order but one night we happen to be at the Fountains and we're starving so we decided to give Jacks another try. I ordered a Buffalo Chicken Salad everything on it. My boyfriend got the Steak salad with ranch dressing instead on vinaigrette dressing, and an order of urban fries. We head home to find our order was completely screwed up. Steak salad had vinaigrette dressing and our urban fries weren't urban at all ,they were plain fries that weren't even cooked!! as hungry as we were we packed up the food drive back to Jacks and talk to a manager. They remade the food, as they were giving the steak salad back to us that they remade, it had vinaigrette dressing again! It was so frustrating. Employees didn't seem to listen or even care at all. My wife raved about this place for the fries and salad so I was willing to try it while we were in the area on 2/25 around 5:30. We both went for the tri-tip sandwichs ($10.50) and the the fries with our order to go ($30 out the door). The fries smelled good all the way home and I couldn't wait until i could try them. My first bite into my tri-tip sandwich was a big surprise as I could not bite through the sandwich as the meat was rubbery, an outside cut. I pulled it out and showed it to my wife as we looked at it, it was basically all fatty skin like with no meat, and the second piece was nearly the same. The dogs liked it. The fries she raved about have little to no white sauce and could tell she was not happy. I BBQ alot and this part of the tri-tip I don't serve to any one when I slice the meat. The young guy that cut the meat should be in charge of sweeping the floors not cut meat for the patrons as he had no clue what he was doing.
