Returned to Jackson diner after 6 months in Florida. So upset with my meal turkey dinner. Gravy cold lumpy, turkey dried out like they nuked it over. Also vegetables cold and only 1 choice of veg. That day I was very hungry and looking forward to my meal. My husband was very pleased with his chopped steak dinner everything was good. PS .. Some of your waitress could take a class on customer service from your front end. Sorry but Jackson Diner let me down this time, but I will try once more. read more

I love the decor and vibe of this place when you're inside - so cute! Our food was good unfortunately our service was bad. Our food came out so fast we were still eating our soup, no big deal there but our waitress never came back to refill our drinks or take away our plates when we were done eating or ask us if we wanted dessert or a check. Finally after sitting around for atleast 45 minutes after we were all finished eating another waitress came over and asked if she could get us anything. We were so happy! We ordered milkshakes and finally got water refills - unfortunately then our original waitress started arguing with the waitress who picked up the slack to help us it was super awkward. Because of service alone I probably wont be back for awhile. read more

If you are looking for the 50's style diners, this is one of the best i've seen. The decor and atmosphere transports you back to the era of malt shops and muscle cars. I came in during lunch time and I was surprised to see how clean it was, even with the amount of people that were dining. My girlfriend and I were sat down and within a minute or two, our waitress was right there to take our drink orders. After looking at their diverse menu for a few minutes, I decided to order the " new york style sandwich " which was your choice of pastrami or corned beef with cheese and either white, wheat, or rye breads. I had the hot pastrami with swiss on rye toast. My sandwich came with a side of french fries, coleslaw and a pickle. The pastrami was not terrible, but also not the best either. For a diner, it was okay. The cheese was tasteless, but the sandwich overall was okay. My girlfriend had the "pigs in a blanket ". It came on a huge oval plate and was 3 pancakes with a chicken and turkey sausage link cut lengthwise wrapped in the middle. The sausage had little to no flavor unfortunately and the pancakes were okay at best. Overall, the Jackson Diner is a cool place to come and have a bite to eat. My husband, adult son, and I ate breakfast here today (something we don't do very often) and we were somewhat dissatisfied. After standing and waiting 5 minutes to be seated (weren't busy...lots of empty tables), a woman walked over to us and said in a demanding and gruff voice, "Follow me!" After being seated, our waitress, Tina, was very attentive and efficient; but the food was just, "eh". Disappointed and we will not be going there next time we go out to breakfast. read more

I was there once and the place is bright loud and uncomfortable. The food was nothing special and too expensive. The worst thing about this place is how my daughter and her friend's family were treated when they were there on September 22nd 2013. My daughter suddenly got ill and vomited all over the table ruining everyone's food, an embarrassing moment that will probably haunt her for the rest of her life. One expects at least a bit of compassion in this situation, but compassion is not on the menu at the Jackson Diner. My daughter's friend's dad had to pay full price for food they could not eat. I understand that this is a business and all but I think it would be fair to at least offer a discount. No one even said, "I hope you feel better" to my daughter for pete's sake! I go to this diner probably almost every week. It is probably the best diner I've ever been to. There food is so good. And their service is very good! You could get basically anything you want their. BEWARE OF THIS PLACE IF YOU HAVE A FOOD ALLERGY. Large disappointment, definitely lost a customer today. The environment is great for a small, hometown, 50's-style diner. Speaking for those who have gluten-sensitivity (aka celiac's disease: allergy to wheat, barley, rye), this place failed terribly. I tried to explain my problem to the waitress and why I couldn't have toast and home fries due to the allergy and asked if I could have a cup of fruit in lieu of this--I was told there are no substitutions. And furthermore, I would have to pay for any substitutions. From there, a manager came over asking for "names of waitresses" in the past who have done this for me (TERRIBLY unprofessional). Because I was sitting at the counter, I had to hear other wait staff talking about the situation. It was quite strange that such a request really rocked the boat at this place. Needless to say, I will not return to this diner, which is a shame because I really did enjoy myself on several occasions up until this incident. In judging by the reviews it seems that customer service isn't their strong-suit, which is quite a shame. To lose a customer over poor food service is a loss when given that diners are a dime-a-dozen in this area. read more
