My trusty old Jag had seen its better days, and it was time to retire it. It was also time to go electric, and I had heard and read great reviews of the new Jaguar I-Pace. We have had excellent past experiences with Jaguar and Land Rover of South Bay. This most recent one was no exception. In fact, my dealing with T.C. Collins was exceptional. He was very knowledgable about the vehicle, professional and courteous to the max. On a test drive, he proudly pointed out the amazing features and handling. Our negotiations were straightforward, and they gave a very fair price for my trade-in as well as current incentives. I would wholeheartedly recommend T.C. who even offered to stop by our home if there were any questions or issues with our Jag. Jaguar also has a program with QMerit that will cover the cost of the ChargePoint charger and the installation. This is an excellent time to buy or lease an EV with rebates from the federal government, as well as the State of California (if qualified) and SCE, too. Lost a potential long term customer due to poor service. Purchased a Jag SUV with 7 year warranty in 2019. Every service has been a struggle to schedule. Our service rep does not return phone calls, leaving us to schedule service appointments online... There's just one major flaw in that you are unable to request a loaner car online. You have to CALL the dealership to schedule your service and request a loaner over the phone. Another flaw - service does not answer the phone. You are forced to leave a message. And they do not call you back. So you call them back and leave another message. They do not call you back. You finally schedule online and plan to speak with them in person about the loaner car. When you drop your car for service (months later than you originally tried to in the first place) you are told there are a limited number of loaner vehicles available, and because your appointment did not mention the need for a loaner vehicle, your only option is to pay for a rental car, or get a Lyft to your destination. 1) the loaner is included in the purchase price and accompanying service/warranty package. 2) for families with one car this doesn't work 3) for families with two cars this might not work! 4) principally this is just wrong. Bottom line - we're selling the Jag. Not because we do not like the car, but because of the incredibly poor service experiences EVERY time we have to bring the vehicle in. Which, with these vehicles is at least a few times a year. And we're never buying another Jaguar, Land Rover or Range Rover. Ever. Again. read more

Jaguar has outsourced to a call center in Las Vegas. These workers are very untrained. I thought I was speaking to a service advisor at Southbay. The first person disconnected me after I questioned her advice. The second gave me a completely different answer then put me on hold before transferring me. I finally got a service advisor at Southbay who looked up my VIN and gave me the correct information, the first two people were wrong. One hour wasted! I had to call back(call center) to ask when my F-Pace needed a tire rotation, she said "When your car doesn't feel right when you're driving" Really? Geez, for what these cars cost, you would think they can provide better customer service. read more

STAY AWAY! I have owned Jaguars and Land Rovers my entire life. I have also owned many other luxury cars. Never in my existence have I seen a more poorly managed dealership from the boss (the GM) than Land Rover / South Bay / Torrance. The GM, Arturo Diaz Gonzalez also known as "Artie", was so rude to me that I could do nothing but laugh. He was like a cartoon character at a low rent dealership who wore an I'll-fitting suite who sold 35 year-old Yugos. Additionally, I should buy stock in whatever hair gel he uses. Now that I think of it, that would probably be a bad investment because he has enough of it in his hair that I feared he'd combust right in front of me and I'd get severely burned. Kidding aside (but not entirely), I don't have enough time to list the train-wreck of events that happened with respect to my purchasing experience there, but I will share with you (and it was caught on camera) the fact that "Artie" literally chastised me (the customer) and insulted me (the customer) and then turned and walked away in disgust from me (the customer) when he learned that I left one of his salesman an after-hours voice message over the weekend simply expressing my concern about the vehicle I purchased the Friday prior. Artie said to me, AND I QUOTE; "Don't EVER call my salesman after hours again! NEVER do that again." Then walked off. (All caught on video as I said). Wow! I literally was rendered speechless. Such poor behavior by a young man who is clearly in over his head working for such a high-end, luxury car brand & dealership. I've met and purchased cars from General Managers of luxury automobiles for the past 30+ years. All of those GMs would never have stooped so low. Not even close. They all represented their luxury brand vehicles as well as their customers with ultimate loyalty, integrity, respect and care. The experience was memorably ugly. I will never forget it. That said, there were a few bright spots: Props to the Service Department (Manny was great!) and props to my Salesman, Jin, and Sales Manager, Raymond. Now I know why Everybody loves Raymond! It's because of the three of you, I can wash away a little of that very bad taste in my mouth that I got as a result of my purchasing experience at Jaguar/Land Rover / South Bay - Torrence. Attn: SouthBay Jaguar & Landrover Service Department: I brought my 2008 Jaguar XK into their service department on March 4, 2024 after waiting 30 days for an available service department appointment for a faulty issue with my TPMS-tire pressure monitoring warning light system. After waiting a week for any communication from anyone in their department, I was finally contacted by their "service advisor" Joel. Of note, I had to send several text messages and voice mails to get any response from him. After waiting almost a month, I was notified that their "regular" service technician was unable to fix the TPMS problem and it had to escalated to a "senior-head technician" and only when he had time to investigate the problem further in another week's time. Unfortunately, reprogramming the existing control module in my vehicle was not possible and SouthBay Jaguar informed me that they couldn't find, locate or order a replacement control module for my vehicle. To make a long story short, I researched where to find the part myself and located and ordered the part from Harper Jaguar Parts in Kentucky. I had to pay $209 plus S&H for the part and hand delivered to their dealership. Finally after 56 days with my car being at the dealership, they were able to resolve the problem and reprogram the new module. While I was only charged $1348 for 4.5 hours of labor, it took almost two months to fix my car. Of note, during that time, no one at the dealership offered me a loaner car or rental car. Nor did they offer an apology or take any responsibility for the delay. I am at a total loss to understand how a 4.5 hour repair job took 56 days to complete. Parenthetically, I have owned three other Jaguars over the last 30-years and I have never experienced such poor service, communication, apathy and incompetence. PS: I actually contacted the service manager, Nate K. at the dealership on several occasions and even sent him an email but I never received any response by telephone or in writing from him. My advice is to take your Jaguar elsewhere for service repairs. I fail to understand how AutoNation allows this level of customer service at SouthBay Jaguar & Landrover in Torrance, CA. Really wanted this to be an amazing experience, but it was uncomfortable from A to Z. I walked in looking for a V6 F-Type Coupe (P340) and even though I was sitting in the cars and checking them out for myself, the sales agent only asked for my boyfriends name. I - the person actually potentially getting this car - received a goodbye nod and not much interest. Seems a bit sexist. Then interacting with a different agent via e-mail, I was sent incorrect specs several times, was lead on that the car was still available, and even sent quotes completely different from what we were discussing in the thread. My car was given to them in pristine condition. First they said my key was not responding so I had to bring them my second key, then they couldn't tell me what was wrong with my car for a full month, finally they told me it was the fuel pump. Although my car was under full warranty they tried to charge me $7,000.00 dollars. For a mileage point inspection that I did not ask for. After verifying with the warranty company that I was not supposed to pay anything. They said they had to close that ticket and would be charging me $85.00 a day unless I picked up my car, as I decided to go have repairs done somewhere else, I changed my mind and let them make the repair. They had my car from about July 22, 2023 to October 11, 2023. When I picked up my car there were scratches one the door that looked like some one had banded their car door against it repeatedly, and when I got in the car they my dashboard completely ruined, I complained to the manager Nathan Krafczyk he just turned red in the face and denied having anything to do with it just as he did with the damage on the car door. DO NOT TAKE YOUR CAR TO THESE PEOPLE THEY ARE CROOKS. The costume rep. Joel Cruz is an imbecile and it is my belief that they use your car for personal use when it on their lot. If I could give less than one star I would I wish I could post pictures of the damage they did to my car. P.S. : They didn't tell me but they told the warranty company they they couldn't not guarantee their work. I suppose they were pissed that I didn't pay the $7,000.00. Jaguar Southbay has the worst customer service. I will not go into the details of my experience but they are not responsive and do as little as possible. I recently dropped off my Jaguar for simple repairs and they did not even do the work. When I inquired about everything I could never speak to a service representative and they would never call me back. After putting me through the high level of inconvenience their attitude was "oh well, could care less" which really pissed me off. When I tried to set up another appointment for these same repairs they would not prioritize me and put me at the back of the line. As for the Jaguar itself. At best I would grade it as ok. Looks cool with all the upgrades for the exterior but interior is not impressive and does not match price and quality level. Ofcourse that is a matter of opinion. I use to own a Audi and that far surpasses the quality to Jaguar and I am comparing a SQ5 to a Jaguar F Pace with all the bells and whistles. I am not saying you should buy an Audi, go with whatever you like but I can say my experience with them far surpasses jaguar. I keep being asked how do I like my jaguar. When my beater Toyota Tercel had seen it's last day I decided I must go look for a new car. I came here and test drove several of the Jaguar models but the one I really wanted was not in my price range...actually only one was in my price range the X-Type (they are really not as expensive as you might think). So I went home and thought it over and decided, yep, I gonna get it. So I had someone drop me off at the dealer and went to the sales guy and said, sign me up. With the figures already worked out it was very simple and almost painless... While going through the paperwork they went and detailed the car and within about an hour or less I was driving off in my new car. There was one recall on my car...something minor I don't remember what. I made the appointment dropped off the car and they gave me a rental car with no cost to me. It was fixed a day or so later and I was given a $75.00 Jaguar store voucher. So I took it too their store on the premises and bought some Jaguar sweats (most everything else cost a lot more...and no I don't go sporting my sweats outside the house). I had to come back twice because rain got into the car when my car was parked on my steep driveway and they had to replace the entire floor...twice. The service department was good. I really did love driving my car (it was a 5 speed). The leather smelled like new for all 4 years. I miss my car but I don't know if I would buy another unless it was one of the high end convertibles....kind of obnoxious but really cool at the same time. For those of you who are unaware, Jaguar Land Rover South Bay falls under the AutoNation umbrella, meaning that it is not a privately owned dealership which poses a multitude of problems when attempting to file a complaint or receive help. I should mention that the last vehicle I leased, a Mercedes GLC300 from South Bay Mercedes (directly across the street from Jaguar Land Rover) was a fantastic experience. I was treated kindly by the staff and couldn't have been happier with my vehicle. My experience at Jaguar Land Rover South Bay was the complete antithesis to AutoNation's South Bay Mercedes dealership. My initial interaction with sales associate Nathaniel Hill was fraught with misinformation and a lack of care. I visited the dealership on Saturday, May 16th to view a 2019 Jaguar F-Pace. Nathaniel mentioned to me that the vehicle has navigation (it does not) and presented me with misinformation regarding engine type by stating that two of three identical vehicles listed were the 25T model (less horse power) and one of the three was a 30T - as it turns out, all three were the 30T version. After working out a deal later that day, Nathaniel asked me to meet him at the dealership the next morning. I text him asking to please make sure that the car that is reserved for me is the 30T model (at this time I thought there was only one) and to also make sure that I do not receive the showroom demo. Nathaniel did not respond to my text. I called the dealership due to Nathaniel's lack of response and spoke to general sales manager, Danielle Maynard who happened to pick up the phone. I explained that I would like to reserve the 30T model and that I did not want the showroom floor demo, she assured me that the stock number on my quote was not that of the demo and that all three vehicles were 30T. Danielle then transferred me to sales manager Andrew "Drew" Polenchar. Drew was extremely aggressive, rude, and dismissive of me on the phone. His exact words were, "you will be receiving the car we quoted" as if I did not have a choice in the matter. He then told me not to come to the dealership that night as I had been prepared to in order to make sure that I receive the correct vehicle. The next morning I arrived at the dealership ready to meet Nathaniel and was met by sales associate Roger Ribeiro instead. Nathaniel did not have the courtesy to mention he and I would not be meeting which I found to be strange after we had agreed upon it. After asking multiple times not to be given the demo and having been quoted for a vehicle that was not the demo, I ended up with the demo when there were two IDENTICAL vehicles sitting on the lot. Prior to completing paperwork, I asked once again that I be given a different vehicle and Drew said to me, "the car has only been on the showroom floor one day." He then proceeded to tell me that the other two cars were not in, "good shape." The day after getting home with my new car, I noticed that the service light was on, autonomous breaking is unavailable, forward alert is unavailable, and the lane departure feature does not work. Fast forward a few days to being caught in the rain only to find out that the windshield wipers do not work. No one took the time to inspect this vehicle prior to selling it to me. I asked Danielle Maynard the general sales manager to be to exchange this vehicle for one that did not have features that do not work, a reasonable request for having spent close to $50,000 purchasing (not leasing) a new vehicle, this did not lead any further than being told to bring the car in for servicing. NO. I specifically asked for a different vehicle that does not have issues straight off the lot, I did not ask for a service appointment. If you enjoy feeling demoralized and receiving subpar products and services, I would encourage you to shop at Jaguar Land Rover South Bay. If you would like to be treated like a human who matters, I would avoid this dealership at all costs. The three identical vehicles that I was interested in were steeply discounted by $16,000. I asked multiple times why the cars were discounted and the response I continued to receive was that they were discounted due to being model year 2019 and the COVID situation. I later found out via an email from Danielle that these three models were demonstrator models so there goes Drew's claim that my car had been sitting in the show room for one day. As the dealership has not been helpful, I have reached out to AutoNation corporate multiple times within the last week and still have not received a call back from a corporate advisor who can help me switch the car. I feel my request of switching the car out for one of the two identical models was beyond reasonable yet no one would assist me. This experience has been a complete nightmare. Moving forward, I will never again conduct business with an AutoNation owned dealership. It is simply too difficult to reach anyone who can be of real assistance. read more

Excellent car buying experience. I actually drove down from Bay Area to look/eventually buy a Mercedes from them. Called off Craigslist Ad, and Bernie gave me all the extra details on the car, shot a video walkaround of the car. No pushy or slick sales games over the phone. Set up a date/time to come down. Few days later, here i am , showed up a bit late, LA traffic. Colleague Jesse took over, and showed me the car, and we took it for a spin. An extended test drive, thru different roads and conditions. Jesse went along and answered all my questions. Next day, bought the car. Process was smooth. They even kept my (old)car for a while and assisted in having shipped back. Jesse kept me posted. So I'm very happy with everything. Jesse is truly a good guy, professional, courteous, doing his job. But so is Bernie Bro. Danielle Sales GM is a very fine Lady, she ensures everything is smooth,clear and she does her best to make everything right. David in Finance is the Wise Man of this tribe. Nonetheless, smooth as fast. Makes things clear and easy. Few nice things: Yes, it's AutoNation, but that's why you wanna buy from them. They dont negotiate the price, but they're pricing it very attractively. It's a Jaguar/Land Rover dealer, so they care about their reputation. They spend a pretty penny on the cars they put out. My ride had actually some 4500$ dropped into it(new brakes, tires,.. ), which is sweet, because i would have done it anyways myself. Not many dealers would go that far, when everyone is trying to make a fast buck. Respek! High five ! Also, cars go thru a 125 point inspection, so you can buy rest assured. This is by far the absolute worst customer service that I have ever experienced in my life. Not sure if it is due me being a young woman or maybe I don't look a certain way or whatever. When a person decides to take a position in a prestigious company, it's their choice to accept the position. If one is unhappy then one should rethink some life decisions. That being said, let me walk you through my horrible experience. First off let's begin with the reason I brought my car in, the dash keeps displaying the message, "unable to locate smart key!" I was told that the reason for this could be various ok I was told 2-3 days to get an answer . That was a fallacy, . They kept my car for 8 days and each day I had call 5- 6 times a day before speaking with someone. I was told to text a number that nobody answers and each time I call I was told that the service advisor was either on a break, helping a customer, or is just busy and will return my call shortly. None of that happened.once my car was supposedly completed I finally received a text followed by a phone call from Joel. I came in to pickup my car and had to wait for 30 minutes for the guy To bring it out. At this point I was just excited to see my vehicle. I drove the car for 2 days and to my surprise the exact reason that I brought it in was happening again. I phoned in 5 times and no answer. I continued to call in and the receptionst became rude and just began to hang up in face . I hope calls are recorded for accuracy. Please check the logs. Cleary this is unacceptable behavior. I'll just reach out to the BBB and every internet platform that I can think of until something is done about the services rendered at this completely horrible place. Much to my surprise, I received mail from Jaguar Financial two weeks after purchasing my new vehicle. I told the salesman and Mr Vega that I only want Capitol One. They got more money going against my wishes and financing directly through Jaguar. This is not a review for the car but for the service representative and their process. I scheduled my annual service for a Saturday and when I scheduled it I was told my car would be ready in 2 hours. When I arrived on Saturday I was told that my car would need to be there for a couple of days because they were backed up. When I was done with the paperwork Nathan (the service guy) told me they had no cars and as a "courtesy" Jaguar would cover the rental, he then directed two desks over to the Enterprise lady. I waited for 30 mins and finally, it was my turn. She thanked me for waiting, handed me a set of keys, and asked me to sign a document which I did. They called me and told me my car was ready on a Wed. I was busy working and couldn't get to the dealership for a couple of days. I arrived, I picked up my car and left (no mention about the rental). After a couple of days, I received a call from the enterprise girl and was told that because I kept their car even after mine was ready I would be charged $260. I told her it was a courtesy loaner and nobody told me I would have to pay. She says it was on that document that I signed. I didn't bother to read the one-page document, why would I? the car is a loaner which is included in my lease. I have a 2017 F-Type, I wouldn't keep their crappy rental if I didn't have to. Had they had my car done the same day on a Saturday when I planned to be around none of this would have happened. If Nathan and/or enterprise rep told me that I would have had to pay if I didn't return the car the same day I would have either rescheduled or tried to have someone take the car back for me. Anyways I tried fighting it with no luck as of yet because I did sign the document. This is a service failure on behalf of Nathan and Enterprise. read more

This included the Bluetooth and rear view camera radio, etc. They are not doing anything to try and help but waste my time. Apparently it can't be fixed. Last week My husband and I purchased a Pre-Owned Mercedes- Benz. The salesman Jon Mellone and finance manger were wonderful to work with! They were attentive and knowledgeable. We had our 2 year old daughter with us, which usually isn't ideal for car shopping, but everyone there was so patient and friendly to us. Since they are not a Mercedes dealership they did not have access to the Mercedes Me Connect System to update the profile so that we could access our remote services. This was not a problem for us and we told them we would go to our local MB in Valencia and have them update it for us. After numerous trips to the Valencia MB Dealership we were still without our remote features because, they said only one employee could do that, and he never seemed to be there and did not return any of our calls. So last night about 7PM my 2 year old daughter locked my only key in the car, and since we did not have the remote app we were left stranded in the Valencia Walmart parking lot. I was alone with my 3 daughters while my husband was wat work. It was cold and dark, and I was frantically trying to get ahold of anyone to help us. I called Valencia MB for help, and was told, again ( shocking!) the only person who could help wasn't there but he would be back at 11am today.. and offered no further assistance. I decided to call Jaguar South Bay where we purchased our car and spoke to a gentleman named Jin Cho, who patiently listened to my situation and offered to do anything he could to help us since our salesman Jon, was off for the evening. He offered to call his partner dealership Mercedes- Benz South Bay to see if they could be of assistance. With in minutes Jin emailed me to let me know I would be getting a call from Alfredo Ortiz from Mercedes- Benz of South Bay to help. At this point the dealership was scheduled to close in 10 minutes, but without hesitation, Alfredo offered to call me and help in any way he could. At 7:56pm he called me and apologized for the situation I had found myself in, asked if my 3 daughters and I were safe and said he would get out account sorted out right away for us. Not only did he get us our remote features so that we could gain access into our car, he stayed on the phone with me, trouble shooting any problems that came up. The willingness to go above and beyond by the South Bay dealership employees is priceless. This morning I received an email from Jin Cho, checking on us, to make sure my daughters and I were able to safely make it home and get into my vehicle. I highly recommend working with Jaguar of South Bay in you are in the market for a great car, and even better customer service! read more

Never ever come to this dealer. I had to pay 100 dollars for a car rental doe the car being in service just because I didn't get any voicemails or call stating my car was ready. I had to call myself two days later. I expect another follow up call next day. And not to mention they make you sign a waiver stating if you get a call before 4pm same day. You have to pick up your vehicle by 7pm otherwise you'll have to pay 90 dollars fee. What kind of BS is that? Totally ridiculous. Will never come back to this dealer for service or to even buy a car in future. Such a RIP off and beware to all consumers. I've already filed a report to Jaguar Corporate regarding this matter. Bought a used car from Shawn at this location was suppose to be safe however when I got it home the engine light came on. I signed for the used car thinking that it was safe but the problems with the car would suggest that is not the case. Furthermore I purchased an extended warranty contract from David and the warranty contract did not cover the problems within the extended warranty as explained to me by David. I WOULD NOT recommend purchasing anything from this place. I am a women trying to purchase a car and its hard enough don' t know if these people can be trusted. Save yourself the headache go somewhere else. Learn from my experience. Could not get the car back within the 5 days cause it was in the shop trying to get fixed by using the warranty. Then found out after the 5 days had expired that warranty would not cover the problems. But could not drive car car would need to be towed. If there was a zero star that is what I would give them. I brought my car here in hopes that they would fix an issue newport jaguar refused to. I arrived at my appointment, but my advisor, Jolie, had not. Melanie helped me out anyway. My car had been there for a whole week without anyone contacting me that it was ready. During this time I had attempted to get in contact with Jolie multiple failed times. When i called a week later, Melanie had informed me my car was ready although when i left the dealer, my car was MORE broken than when it came there. Apparently someone had broken the car's ecu. This review would have been a 1 star if not for how kind and helpful Melanie was even though she didn't need to be. read more

The staff at this dealership is extremely uneducated about the vehicles that they sell and unprofessional. Jesus -- the salesperson who helped me could not answer basic questions about the car, was late for my appointment and had not even taken the car out that I scheduled an appointment with him to see. Anyhow, I purchased a vehicle, and after an eerie conversation with the financial services manager I exercised my right to return the vehicle within a few days. She told me that she would not keep the particular vehicle for more than 3 years and repairs would be really expensive. This made me very uneasy about the quality of the vehicle. After the vehicle was returned, this dealership has not yet returned the funds to my bank nor my down payment. I have left multiple messages at the dealership and I have not received a phone call about my money that they're sitting on. My next step is to file a complaint with the BBB and then a lawsuit if these funds are not returned immediately! read more

Though I live in San Diego, I found a vehicle that was spec'd out exactly the way I wanted at Jaguar South Bay, about 120 miles north of me in Los Angeles. I was a bit nervous trying to work out a deal at a dealership so far away from home, but the team at JSB was incredibly accommodating and made the entire experience worthwhile. My sales representative Jacques Leon was very helpful throughout the process, and never made me feel any pressure like I have experienced at other dealerships. And my experience with the finance manager David Garcia was similarly fantastic - he's not just thorough, but he's also genuine and sincere. Both David and Jacques are men of good character. I would have no reservations making the trip up to LA to buy another vehicle from them. read more
