Chips and salsa + chili crunch guacamole
    Carina V.

I'm a big fan of Ospi and Jemma, so naturally, I was excited to try Jaime. The restaurant is tastefully decorated (though not sure what the need was for, what looked to me like, AI artwork near the bathroom), and service was on point, but the food missed the mark. Salsa flight felt a bit bland. Guac could've used a bit more lime for brightness, and the chili crunch topping wasn't chili-y or very crunchy. My shrimp gobernador tacos were the most disappointing dish of the night. Shrimp was minuscule and translucent. I thought the shrimp would be bigger and have some char from cooking or more flavor. Cheese skirt didn't really contribute much. Pico de gallo and other accoutrements were also under seasoned. I'm a bit let down but would consider coming back to try some of the other meat entrees or the breakfast burrito.

I had been wanting to try Jaime Taqueria for a long time because so many people had told me about their delicious breakfast burritos and because I love its sister restaurant, Ospi. Downtown El Segundo is always fun to visit and we went on a gorgeous day, so everyone was eating on the patio. Service was excellent, the restaurant was cute, and the horchata latte was delicious! The bartender made my latte for me and was very attentive. We got the birria burrito and the filet mignon burrito. Apparently, they just raised the prices on their burritos, but I think it was overall a reasonable price for the size and quantity of meat. The side sauces were also super yummy. Overall, really enjoyed everything! I would definitely be interested in trying their other menu items. Jaime is a cute place for a weekend brunch for sure!

¡Jaime! Taqueria - All Service, No Seasoning! I had high expectations for ¡Jaime! Taqueria, partly because we share a name and partly due to the hype. While the ambience is "upscale taqueria" with a nice bar and a nice patio, the music was a bit too loud for comfort or to have a conversation. The staff saved the experience. They were attentive and kind--especially helpful since my dining guest was 55 minutes late. Unfortunately, the service is the only reason this place gets any stars, because the food was beyond mediocre. The food was a series of disappointments, starting with the $9 "Happy Hour" guacamole, which was a textbook case of shrinkflation--a tiny, sample-sized portion that completely lacked seasoning. The drinks didn't fare much better, as the $9 Pepino Aqua Fresca was aggressively sweet, though my guest did enjoy her $18 mojito. As for the main event, the $22 Carnitas Tacos were remarkably bland, served on tortillas that felt chewy and cardboard-like. Altogether, the meal felt like a pricey, fast-casual imitation of Mexican food that simply didn't justify the cost. At these prices, the value just isn't there. You can get a Michelin-level meal at Holbox or authentic, flavorful gems at Sonoratown, Leo's, or Taco Social for a fraction of the cost. Save your money. Skip the ¡Jaime! name and hit your local truck or street stand instead.

Amazing food and service. I enjoyed dining on their patio. We went for brunch. I had the ricotta pancakes. Everyone else enjoyed their meals too. The favorite was the pozole

Indeed 4.5! The place is really nice, upper casual, the service is very friendly, nice and dog friendly! They are very friendly with them, bringing water. The food is is tasty, delicious. I loved the type of tortillas, really different of other restaurants. Just I like guacamole with comino, onion and tomato. They have parking lot. Nice to pick someone at the airport, or taking time to the next flight. We did that with our friend, after picked her up.

A chicken and a shrimp taco. Bland.

Well darn. Jame, their Italian spot is one of my favorite restaurants ever. So I was excited to try Jaime! First off, kind of bummed that it wasn't fast casual. I wish it was the kind of place you could just grab a coffee and a pastry in the morning and a taco for lunch without sitting down and ordering. I sat at the bar and ordered. It was lovely but also felt backward during the day. I ordered two tacos, the chicken and the shrimp... which came with refried beans. Honestly, if I had my eyes closed I would not have been able to tell which taco was which. They tasted extremely similar. Even the cool, burnt cheese disc on the shrimp taco was extremely bland. Not sure what they're doing wrong here but they are doing something wrong. Bland city. Unfortunately, I will never go back. They really should just stick to Italian.

I had the Birria Breakfast Burrito - Cheese crusted tortilla, tater tots, scrambled eggs, artisan cheese, avocado, queso fresco. It comes with consome and cilantro crema sauce. Birria was lumpy and lacking flavor. Consome was rich and the Cilantro Crema was light. I liked the burrito but it wasn't spectacular, maybe a mid average. For the price, I expect to be loaded. The service was also average.

I really thought this was a takeout spot where I can get burritos to go, but nope, it's a romantic sit down! Burritos are solid at best, and honestly if this place base its restaurant solely on the burrito and it's only decent? That's rough. Cute spot tho, and good vibes

I've tried at least 5-10 breakfast burritos in the South Bay and recently got to try two from ¡Jaime! Taqueria this past week. I can confidently say they were some of the best breakfast burritos I've had all year and they don't break the bank. I do enjoy the Baran's breakfast burrito from Tigres Fuego, but it's definitely not as economical and you can't customize the burritos. I feel like Jaime Taqueria's breakfast burritos standout for a couple reasons - avocado in every burrito, a generous portion of meat, and $12-15 price points. I've only been once, but I definitely will keep coming back even though it's a little farther from me. Ordering and pickup was a breeze too through the online Toast app. Breakfast burritos: - Birria breakfast burrito - both burritos were packed with a lot of meat, which I thoroughly enjoyed. The birria was flavorful and pretty soft as well, sometimes birria meat can be tough but I heard they use the beef cheek. The eggs in these burritos are heavenly - a soft-scramble with so much flavor. I also love how they grill the cheese on the outside too. - Carnitas breakfast burrito - Carnitas was similarly delicious. The meat was tender and flavorful. I can't decide which one I like better, but I am partial to carnitas in general. They do a great job of packing the burrito so you get a little bit of everything in each bite instead of having one ingredient stuck on one side. Salsas: - Cilantro Crema - I watched a video and heard this one was the best sauce. It definitely did not disappoint! A good kick but also very creamy. Went very well with the burritos. - Chipotle Aioli - this one was a little underwhelming. it didn't have much flavor overall, just creamy. Overall, the breakfast burritos here blew my mind! I only tried takeout, so I might need to sit down for breakfast in person to get the full experience. There are also two more types of breakfast burritos I want to try as well - the filet mignon and bacon! Looking forward to coming back here.

This is the sister restaurant to Jame Enoteca, so I had to try its take on Mexican food! I really love this spot and its menu is so good! Everything on the menu is really great, but I'm partial to the breakfast burritos and the sweet corn tamales, which I get every time I'm there. Hands down, this is my favorite thing on the menu and such a must-try. If you pick anything to get at Jaime, get this. If you have a group and they love spicy stuff, highly recommend the Chef's Salsa bar so you can try all the spicy sauces with chips. Street parking isn't a problem and the servers are always wonderful! Such a joy to come down and eat here. Worth a visit to El Segundo!

We came here for Sunday brunch. I had been wanting to try this place since it opened and we finally made it. We sat in the corner on the patio, shortly after noon and the sun was at the perfect angle. The glass windows help block the wind, while the plants protect from direct sun, creating this lovely atmosphere to sit and enjoy a great meal with great conversations. The hostess, and overall service, is exceptional. Very warm, inviting with great recommendations for food and beverages. We tried the Guacamole Maizena, sweet corn tamales, egg & cheese breakfast burrito, carnitas breakfast burrito and a Hangover bowl. Every item was plated in an appetizing manner and flavor that matched the presentation. This place is a wonderful addition to Main St and the restaurants in the area.

My husband and I had such a great time at Jaime! Johnny and Adrian have such amazing staff. They were super attentive. We love going and getting the queso fundido. Do not skip out on that. As for drinks you can never go wrong with the Classico marg and the Despacito. Ambiance is soo cute. Can dress up or go casual. We will definitely be back to try the viral breakfast burrito!

Spectacular Breakfast Burrito I'm in the LAX area 2-3 times/month for breakfast and have been loyal to Eat Fantastic Cafe for years. This place is now added to the list of reliable Breakfast options near the airport. From 8-11am its takeout only with a limited menu but the place looks like a perfect date option. Nice chairs, a bar area and everything appears remodeled. The breakfast burrito was filling. I was starving and couldn't finish in one sitting. Ingredients were fresh and taste. The melted on cheese outer layer and carne asada filet options for breakfast take this burrito to the next level. I will be back.

The ambience is definitely upbeat with your choice of sports on multiple big screens and so is a bit boisterous but not rowdy and there are retreats within the establishment which are a bit separate from the sports energy in the main dining area.. Food was ok, not a huge fan. Beer selection was ok. We chose to do the wrist band where they charge for how much you pour but when we poured it was a lot of foam and we had to re pour which we get charged for that too. So wasn't a fan of that. Every round that hit the table was a "pass it around, everybody try this" moment. The kind of happy hour where you're not just snacking -- you're accidentally having a full-on dinner because you can't stop ordering "one more thing." Food: Legit. Everything we tried was solid, but the wings were the standout for me -- the kind you keep reaching for even when you tell yourself you're good. Great flavor, cooked right, and they held their own against any wing spot that claims they're "known for wings." Whatever they're doing back there, keep doing that. Service / experience: This is where they really won. Trent was our guy tonight and I can't say enough about him. Manager supreme is the right title -- he wasn't just checking boxes, he was running the whole experience. He served, suggested, kept the pacing perfect, and made it feel effortless while still being locked in the entire time. You can tell when someone actually cares that your night is going well, and Trent is that dude. Major asset to this business and the kind of manager that turns first-time visits into "we're coming back next week." Atmosphere was exactly what you want for Manhattan Beach happy hour: lively, comfortable, easy to settle in, and perfect for a group. We came to try the menu and ended up staying for the vibe. Only complaint -- and it's not even on them, it's on the "beach cities trying to save the world one soggy sip at a time" vibe -- the paper straws. I swear those things last 11 minutes before they turn into a wet napkin. Let me live, Rockerfellas Bottom line: If you want a happy hour that actually delivers, Rockerfellas is it. Bring friends, come hungry, and if you get Trent taking care of you? You're in elite hands. We'll be back.

GIve me a break. JUST SAY that The Rockefeller isn't dog-friendly and be done with it, ok? By the way, this incident WAS on Mother's Day 2026, so the staff was particularly overwhelmed. . . so there's that timing. On a previous time my husband and I had brunch here about 4-5 months ago, we DID take our little doggie without any issue. So the staff either has to get their stories straight for next time or just say that The Rockefeller IS dog-friendly, BUT ONLY for a two- or one-person party. Other than that, The Rockefeller's Chilaquiles are phenomenal. It was flavorful and filling. Also, the Bacon & Eggs (two eggs, any style) -- which I had my eggs over-easy -- were outstanding. Bottom-line: Don't bring your dog. It's just too complicated for The Rockefeller to handle. Leave your dog at home.

Plus, Emily Gilmore implied that it was…read morenitwit juice and Buffy devolved to a Cave person after drinking enchanted beer so these quasi-after-school specials taught me that heathens and their kin drink beer. Of course, I kid, beer can be a wonderful thing, I just rather do cocktails and shots. So I went to Sugar Monkey Brewing because of a different pull: a power point slide show where friends pitch their single friends to strangers for a chance at love or romp. So I went in not knowing much of Sugar Monkey Brewing and I left with clear understanding that this place is an industrial beer oasis near the beach. The contrast of sand and blue on the horizon and the present aluminum lining made me feel like I was seeing a new uncommon mixture that proved that clashing environments can gel to delight. I found parking easily. It was a Saturday early evening, and about a 5 minute walk was where I discovered my spot. I honestly hated that I had to walk those 5 minutes but the walk uplifted my spirits for the weather was California crisp and the air and sky and atmosphere felt safe and proper. I wondered if i had the right place? The streets looked like too industrial. Like I had gone to one of those places that had a lot of factories in rows, but not much else. But I turned a corner and there was Sugar Monkey. Then I realized that a brewery would probably look like a beer factory so this place, with all its steel and pumps, had found its home amongst beach skies. As I walked back to my car, later that evening, I was in slight awe at the pale light blue and orange sky. It was serene, and vast and somehow beach appropriate. The water tower iin a picture I took was a nice touch as it reminded me of the Animaniacs, especially Wakko and Dot. I arrived after the first presentation was on its way. I started to listen intently to understand the dynamics because this all seemed so weird yet plausible. Like a dating auction turned fun not hokey or corny? The person was hyping up her friend J. Apparently, he spoke many languages, and hiked and did all these other stuff that were meant to induce attractions. Then she asked, What can he do? And she then explained how she was going to make a joke and that no one needed to fear going to hell if they laughed. And she then reveal that the thing he can't do is SEE because he was blind. The joke was in good taste. The joke, at least to me, carried disability pride. She had revealed that he was different because his sight was different to a crowd of would be judges and suitors. The strength of the duo was refreshing, dare I say, more than the beach breeze. Being witness to this moment made me feel like I had seen a beautiful moment and one I never imagine I would see. And for this reason alone, my trip to Sugar Monkey was more than fun, it was heart-opening. The place itself is cool. Their outside was a huge garden like setting. The place had pool, however, the patio is crowded so I am not sure how people can play if too many people are there. Another thing I saw- that is a credit to this place- is that it had a wheelchair elevator. So if someone was chilling in the patio and wanted to chill in their wooded floor area- where the bar was they could use the wheelchair lift, if they could not use their legs. The place had also had kind of like an off-beat personality. It had a British phone, an astronaut that seemed to have hit a space that painted him with grafitti flare, and beers with names like green means go. I think I would go to this place again, for the beer and the air and to Karaoke. I loved this place and the activity it hosted!

I feel like I can write a manuscript describing all the things I like about this place, but no one would bother reading that except maybe my wife so I'm going to try to keep this one relatively short. During my visit, I ordered the Connecticut Style Double Stuffed Roll with a mixture of fries and tater tots. The lobster meat was fresh and nicely flavored with Old Bay seasoning while the split roll was buttery and perfectly crunchy. I seriously can't imagine a lobster roll tasting any better. Not to be out done, the service here was outstanding. The two gentleman who were working at the counter were extremely friendly and helpful. This being the first time at this establishment, I had a bunch of annoying questions. These guys were unfazed and answered my questions very nicely. A few additional notes about this place: -You order and pay up front. It's a beautiful thing to be able to leave whenever you're done eating. -There is plenty of parking in the back of the establishment. -The fountain drink machine is self serve. It's well maintained and fine tuned. No joke, the Coke here is near McDonalds level. If you're in the Redondo Beach neighborhood, I strongly recommend giving this place a try. If you're into lobster rolls, you won't be disappointed.

Food: Pretty solid! Had Connecticut style with fries. Roll was tasty. Buuuuut…read more.... Value: VERY pricey for serving size. Roll was small, imo, for 23.50. Fries were another 6 for hardly any. Kind of prohibitive pricing for casual drop ins. Especially if you order a beer. I know it's South Bay, but bummer. Atmosphere: walls covered in punk records, music gear, and skate decks. Rad! Except.... the pumping music was straight out of "songs covered by Glee." WTF. Excruciating. Like being in a crappy clothing store in a mall. Booooo. Dining in can't both be expensive and a challenge of endurance. Awful. Incoherent. Service: bartender/manager (he said he was manager to a woman he was flirting with, so I'll assume he was) told me the decoration was just decoration. Ok. Weird. Verdict: pass. Not worth $$ or dealing with the vibe. Footnote: bartender guy wore an earbud -- owners should kaibosh that nonsense.

Waited a good 15 minutes before someone attended to us. The person that attended to us was the bartender. Realizing he is playing host, bartender and waiter. He handed us a menu and stated he will be back to take our orders. Another 15 minutes goes by and we finally order adult beverages. 10 minutes goes by which he delivered our drinks. I received my Michelob ultra which was like a cold slushy! I said perfect! Thats the way I like my drink. Super cold and icey. We ordered on the spot. Another 15 minutes goes by. Recieved our food. Wings, zucchini, hamburgers and tater tots. I have got to say.. the food here is exceptionally delicious! No complaints on the food. All was satisfying. The place has a ambiance like a tavern. Dark and cozy. Parking is a hit and miss. We came in a good time. Parking may be difficult on peak hours. If you use Google maps.. be aware, sometimes Google maps is retarded. As a first timer, Google maps got us driving around and around. Just remember that the bar is on Sepulveda and parking is in the back. Alittle frustrated. Lol Overall it was a good experience. They can work on their staffing for lunch hour. Maybe add one waitress to cover lunch time.

Honestly, everything on the menu hits , you really can't go wrong. A huge shoutout to Kelsey and Marissa, two of the funniest, friendliest servers you'll ever meet. They always bring great energy and make the experience even better. If you're looking for a place to catch football on Sundays, this is the place. Just a heads-up: get there early if you want a good seat, it fills up fast, and for good reason. Awesome food, great drinks, and even better people. Highly recommend!
