This afternoon was my first visit to the Benbrook location with my wife and five-year-old daughter. Having previously visited both the Aledo and Alliance locations, I had a good sense of what to expect, and Jake's once again delivered a great overall experience. Like the Aledo location, the Benbrook restaurant features an inviting outdoor patio and a kid-friendly activity area with turf, making it an excellent destination after family activities or for a relaxed weekend brunch. It's a place where mom and dad can enjoy a meal or drink while the kids burn off some energy. One thing that immediately stood out was the size of the outdoor space. The Benbrook patio connects to the neighboring Taco & Avocado area through a small grassy section, creating an even larger open-air environment. I would estimate the outdoor seating area is roughly twice the size of Aledo's, if not larger. There are multiple TVs throughout the patio, plenty of covered seating, and an impressive turf area for families. Another unique feature is the climbing structure designed for children, which appears ideal for kids roughly ages 5-13. It's a thoughtful addition that helps set this location apart from the others. My only recommendation would be the addition of more fans or an enhanced air circulation system in the outdoor areas. On lower-wind days, flies and other pests can become fairly noticeable, and guests often rely on nearby fans for relief. While it's a minor nuisance and certainly doesn't take away from the overall atmosphere, it would be a worthwhile improvement. Overall, I would highly recommend Jake's Burgers in Benbrook. Whether you're looking for a place to watch a game, enjoy a family-friendly meal, have a date night or brunch, or simply stop in for a drink from their well-stocked bar, this location offers a great atmosphere and something for everyone.

Service was quick. There's a lot of good options on the menu. We were seated immediately and were greeted immediately by our server. She was super nice. We were in and out of there in under 45 minutes. The kitchen is incredibly efficient. The ambiance was like a regular burger joint. I absolutely love how much space was in the backyard and there's even a spot for pet relief. I had a Cobb salad because I wasn't that hungry, but then I also ordered loaded tots lol go figure. I ended up taking the tots and half the Cobb salad home. My husband ordered a burger which reminded him of a double double at in-n-out. He finished it so that means it was good. We also ordered the pretzel bites. It came with a white cheese sauce and mustard. The cheese sauce was divine. Overall, love that this place is here and they serve alcohol.

Decided to try the Jakes out and it was great. The food was great and so was the service. The atmosphere was good inside and they have play stuff for the kids and adults outside as well. We would definitely go back.

Jake's is great, and this new location doesn't disappoint. The food came out great, everything was correct and the kitchen was fast. The service was fantastic, Laura was very nice and professional. They have an amazing huge backyard patio. They are very dog friendly, and they provided a water dish for my pup. Overall, this Jake's is a great addition to Benbrook. We will be back!

Stopped in for lunch after our Costco haul, immediately three hostesses greeted us at the door super friendly, loud environment open spaces create no sound proofing, ordered a lemonade and immediately it became aware that this place cuts corners, the lemonade had the artificial sweetener taste like from a package, so we ordered an appetizer which were deep fried green beans which again came from a big cardboard box with a plastic liner frozen since who knows how long, I ordered a Texas patty melt burger and my wife had a hickory bacon burger we ordered a large seasoned fries to split between us when our order came he tried to give me chicken fried steak with all the fixings, after relying to him my ordered he then came out with the correct burger, after the first bite once again my mind had an image of the cardboard box with plastic liner with burger patties stacked together with ice crystals, the burger tasted like a cheap Pattie you would buy in bulk at a supermarket, the fries were okay no seasoning like we were told they had a dusting of some type of flour coating then fried, overall it was bar food at best, the service was incredible great people, unfortunately the food didn't taste the same.

Jake's season fries and the hangover Burger (I got hungry. I ate it before I took a photo.)

Caroline was amazing. Helpful response in the food was so good. I had to hangover Burger with the Jake season fries. I will definitely be coming back. With my friends again. The place is really big and we got seated very fast. It had a very chill atmosphere.

Fantastic choice! The menu is very "urban hipster" vibes. Plenty of burgers, lots of fun appetizers, charcuterie, one of my friends has some dietary restrictions and they were easily able to accommodate her needs which made us all very happy. This spot has a great bar in the front, and a smaller bar in the rear of the place. Outdoor seating as well as covered seating. Plenty of shade as well which will serve their patrons nicely in the coming Texas summer months. This is also a dog friendly dining spot, plenty of people were there with some amazing canine companions (always ask before you pet a strangers pup, it's just polite and courteous. Almost no one says No!). Assuming you don't have a dog allergy, this will hopefully be a feature. There is a relatively new apartment complex across the street and I get the feeling a lot of the people stopping in were regulars who bring in their dogs during walkies and grab a bite before heading back home, but that is just pure conjecture on my part. Either way, it was a fun inviting atmosphere. The music was nice, not too loud for my old man ears to enjoy but still present enough to be part of the evening without being intrusive. Staff was very nice, helpful, friendly, etc. Everything one would expect from a fine Texas eatery. Lots of spicier options on the menu if you're into that, but by no means anything overpowering. My guess is the owner has stock in some jalapeno growers farm somewhere and the food is all the better for it! If you're in the area already or if you're thinking of branching out for a nice new burger spot, this place is great and I will be returning. I live nearby so it'll likely become part of the regular rotation for us in the coming months. We are spoiled for choice in this area when it comes to good burgers being close to Grumps, close to Kincaid's, and close to Tommy's up on Camp Bowie. But this place competes on good burgers and if you're looking for a fun hangout atmosphere, you'd be hard pressed to find better. Easily recommended! Give them a try, I don't think you'll regret it! Cheers!

I called a girlfriend and told her I'd found a new spot: wine, charcuterie boards, and live music. Sounded like a perfect evening. When we arrived, a young employee did her best to find the hostess and get us seated. After a few minutes, she honestly seemed more flustered than we were, she apologized and offered to seat us herself. We got settled, I ordered a margarita, and then I noticed a large dog roaming around. No leash, no owner in sight. (Later found out the owner owns the bar, the regulars are very familiar with the dog) I looked down at the menu, then looked back up, and the dog was literally face-to-face with me. We got up to leave immediately. A dog-friendly patio? Sure. That's completely fine. But allowing a dog to freely roam throughout both the outdoor patio and the covered upstairs area is baffling to me. (My last visit a dog was on the table, I assumed the young staff just didn't know how to approach the situation, but tonight shows this is how Hideaway operates day in and day out) When I explained my concern to the waitress, she said she understood and asked me to close out my tab for the one margarita I had just ordered and hadn't touched. No ma'am. I'd been there less than ten minutes, and for me, this crossed a line. Clearly, some guests enjoyed it. I saw people petting the dog and calling it over. Different preferences, and that's their choice. But mine is different. I won't be back, and if I recommend this place to anyone, it will come with a warning: dogs aren't just allowed here- they appear to have free rein of the space, whether that's on tabletops, near your food, or directly in your personal space, whether you want that interaction or not.

The noise level was extremely high...we literally had to yell just to have a conversation with each other. Service was also very slow. It took about 15 minutes just to be acknowledged at the bar, and close to 30 minutes to actually receive a drink. When I finally ordered, I told the bartender to make her favorite drink. She made something that included raw egg whites (which I later learned is common in certain cocktails), but it wasn't mentioned or explained at the time. A few hours later, I became very sick...vomiting and dealing with what felt like severe food poisoning all night and through the next 24 hours. After looking into it, I suspect it may have been related to the raw egg used in the drink. Just something to be aware of if you're ordering drinks like a whiskey sour or anything that may include egg whites. After getting our receipt (which you need for the speakeasy entry code), we checked out the speakeasy portion, but the vibe there wasn't great either..pretty must the same as the other part of the bar. We ended up leaving within about five minutes. Overall, the experience didn't live up to the hype for us....between the noise, long wait times, and how we were treated, it just wasn't enjoyable. For comparison, the bar next door, Archibald, felt much more welcoming. Maybe regulars have a different experience, but as first-time guests, we were not impressed.
