Condensed: Good food, Nutella jars on the tables and CASH ONLY. My good experience was made sour by the fact that both my friend and I had to use the ATM which states 'Jam and Honey has a $3 charge on this ATM' - so what we thought was decently priced a $10 entree quickly became an overpriced $13 entree. Yes it is my fault for not always having $30 cash on me, but for the owners of this establishment to push this fee to their customers seems shady to me, take credit cards and hide the extra $1 fee in the price of each item, I'd be more cool with that. Also note, I did not see it advertised anywhere until we were told at the end of our bill, probably an overlook by me but when I'm president all places that dare to be CO will be forced to tattoo it on every employees forehead. Nice little sidewalk patio, but the intersection it sits on is kind of busy and distracting. South of the Border Burrito - Scrambled Eggs, Chorizo, Black Beans, Sour Cream, Guacamole, Pepper Jack and Pico De Gallo Served with House Potatoes - $10 --- Good and hearty, the potatoes had added flavor of sauteed bell peppers but were very starchy and could have benefited by being a little crispier. This is such a cozy little Lincoln Park brunch spot! It is small and a little cramped, but if you have cash (they don't take cards) and can wait 30-45 minutes, Jam 'n Honey is a great place for Sunday brunch. I came to Jam 'n' Honey with a friend on a Saturday for brunch and loved everything about it. They have a lot of outside seating, which is nice, and every table has a massive container of Nutella on it...need I say more? I ordered the Veggie Burrito which has goat cheese in it and it was a-maz-ing for only $10. It came with potatoes which I think is cheap for a brunch in the city! My friend ordered the South of the Border Burrito and got a side of pancakes, which came with 3 large ones (an order in itself!). Everything was served quickly, I do wish it had been just a bit hotter when it came out to us. I also wasn't getting a refill on my coffee unless I asked, which was annoying. This is a good place right by DePaul that lets you bring your dog to sit outside. The food it delicious (I've been for breakfast, lunch and dinner) and the atmosphere is great. Plus, it's BYOB and there's a great beer/wine shop down the street (Vrai's Amour) to compliment. I consider myself somewhat of a connoisseur of omelets, and I have to say that Jam and Honey creates one of the best I've ever had. I usually get a Greek style egg white omelet for breakfast, and this one blows the rest of them away. The omelet is huge and fluffy (and for egg white eaters, you know this can be quite hard to find), with nice chunks of feta, and a good amount of spinach (but not too much that it dominates the dish). Nice breakfast on Labor Day. I had an egg sandwich, and they substituted a cheese for me without complaint. It was delicious. Girlfriend had a ham and cheese omelet, and she thought it was pretty good as well. The best part, though, was the spreads. Each table has Nutella, orange marmalade, and some kind of jam on it. Such a lively and cute brunch spot! They leave a big jar of Nutella on every table. How are you not suppose to take a lick (or two, or three). Well that happened.... A friend and I ordered a short stack of pancakes, house potatoes, and turkey sausage. Just their short stack of pancakes could fill me up and the potatoes were on point! On Saturday we had 13 people and on Sunday 19...amazing that both times we were seated quickly. Being in Chicago the prices for breakfast seemed in the normal range. I stopped in "late" on a Friday night. It was 8:45, 15 min before close. It took a while before anyone acknowledged my presence and when the server did, she seemed annoyed (despite the fact that there were two other tables, and that I was by myself). She asked later (after my appetizer arrived) whether I still wanted it, but I declined. I had the risotto cakes while I waited for my food to come (which I had ordered to take out). I ordered a chicken pesto sandwich special. The risotto cakes and sandwich were divine. So delicious. The fries were rather meh, but I have had worse. I would have chosen a different side (but didnt know if that was an option). I would have loved a recommendation on what to get if I wanted to put the nutella or the jam on my food... biscuits? Rolls? Toast? But the server didnt mention it. When the check came, it still had a message on it that they were only accepting cash, and I had a moment of panic. My server said they are accepting cards now, so just know that when you go in. The ambiance is nice, so I hope the place lasts. That kind of place needs servers who are much more enthusiastic. They don't serve alcohol (yet?), so it's not a place one would go to with the intent of socializing and making it "an experience". The food is good, but a little on the expensive side ($21 for a sandwich and an appetizer). They're prices are pretty reasonable (except they charge like $3 for iced tea, which is crazy to me because it probably costs them 30 cents for one of those little glasses of iced tea). The food is great though. They always have interesting specials and everything is made well. The French Toast is SOOOO good. If you're a fan of French toast, do not miss this opportunity. It comes with the honey butter too, which is phenomenal. The BLAST is another favorite if you're looking for lunch. It has a nice neighborhoody feel and the wait on the weekends is usually short and is never not worth it. I've never had an issue with service here, I would recommend it to any! read more

Food is OK, the service is pretty bad. When I first came in, the hostess just threw me at a seat. She didn't tell me who would be my server and when I would get one. She just said "Enjoy." It took a decent amount of time before I actually got a waiter. So I ordered a Hearty Breakfast which comes with Toast and then I ordered a small glass of Grapefruit Juice. When the food arrived, I had to remind them of my Grapefruit Juice because I still didn't get it. I finished my hearty breakfast which was okay but it wasn't anything amazing. After I finished my food, I remembered that I never got my toast and the waiter just asked me if I wanted one, no apologies, nothing, just asked me if I still wanted it. The fact that I had to remind the waiter of my order of two different things is really bad. I should not be telling a Waiter how to do his job and remind him that he didn't bring these items to me yet. And to provide more context, the place was pretty empty too. Once we got there we ordered a carafe of fresh squeezed orange juice ($14) but it turned out it's not fresh squeezed. When we asked about it they said they purchase it from someone who fresh squeezed it, rather than juicing the oranges themselves. We ordered the homemade granola parfait, which was pretty good but the blueberries in it were soggy, like they had thawed frozen blueberries. The blueberry pancakes had a taste like the residue of dirty dishes and other food being cooked, and were topped off with more soggy blueberries. The french fries were also soggy and transparent, which I actually like, but my friend didn't. The coffee was fine. When we asked about the orange juice, our server took back the carafe and took the item off our bill, which was nice of him. Probably wouldn't recommend and not planning on returning. read more

During spring and summer they have a really nice patio option for outdoor eating! They do BYOB and have a great selection of breakfast options.
