This is my favorite Jamba Juice in San Diego. I usually go here at least once a week for a morning smoothie on my way to babysitting. The people working are all pretty young, but not what you'd expect in terms of attitude. They're all really outgoing and friendly, and they get the smoothies out fast! There's no question Jamba Juice means quality ingredients. The service was friendly at this JJ and the store was neat and clean. My only beef, and it's a BIG ONE, is the STYROFOAM...I am serious about perhaps not going back. I feel SO bad that because I wanted to smoothie, I have now helped to create trash that will outlive me, my children, their children...(okay, I personally don't have children, but you get the idea...) Oh, this was one reason why Yog-art in Hillcrest was SO good...their cups are paper, not styrofoam, like the Golden Spoon that's across the street. FAIL! First time going to this Jamba Juice. Guy at register was nice and speedy. I ordered wheat grass shot, medium Caribbean Passion and waffle. I got my wheat grass shot shortly after ordering. Then all these other people who ordered after me got their orders and more people and more. Finally asked the lady handing out the orders where mine was and that I have been waiting and ordered before all these other people. She looks at screen and goes oh ya. I'm like did my order get lost and forgotten - she says yes. Then I had to remind them I paid for energy shot. She hands me my waffle that has been sitting there for who knows how long, I pull it out and it's burnt, not crispy burnt- burnt not enjoyable. I didn't hear an apology or get a free upgrade or anything, just have a good day when I finally got my order. Then while I'm waiting for my smoothie and after I asked where it was. Lady who ordered way after me reminds them of pretzel she ordered, lady looks at screen and says he only rang you up for smoothie, but then end up giving her free pretzel. First time at this particular Jamba Juice. Drink quality was good just like any other Jamba Juice I've been to, but service wasn't so great. With multiple customers waiting, the workers here were more interested in chit chatting amongst themselves than even greeting a customer. I am surprised this Jamba Juice got as many stars as it did. I think when Yelpers review places like Jamba Juice, they're reviewing the actual company and their products, and not the individual storefronts/franchises, which is sad because it doesn't really give an accurate impression of each of its stores. If I were to rate Jamba Juice the company.. I would give it 5 stars, but if am rating this particular Jamba Juice, I give it 2. Here's why. PARKING/LOCATION: Lots of areas to park. Very convenient when you find one right up front, but if not, it's not too bad of a walk from your car to the store. Location... they picked a really good spot. Right next to Starbucks, clearly visible off Rosecrans St (one of the busier and arterial streets in Point Loma). So, especially on a hot day, when you're stuck in traffic along Rosecrans, you have 3 major openings to pull in to the parking lot to grab a nice, cold smoothie from here. Also, since I go to the Rock church on Sundays, I love the idea of making a quick run to Jamba (especially during ministry fair days when you're outdoors sitting at your booth). Big WIN for PARKING/LOCATION! One star. EMPLOYEES: Love the employees. They are super-friendly here. Always ready to take your order, and they know their stuff. Ask them anything, they know what to do. Service is great. The time it takes for them to make a smoothie is quick and painless. Another star. PRODUCTS/MENU ITEMS: I want to say I've been to this particular Jamba Juice about.... 10 different times in the past 3 or 4 years ? It took a lot of willpower not to visit a lot more because I do consider myself a smoothie junkie of sorts. ;) What's turned me off from returning more than 10 times to this one is their AVAILABILITY of some of their menu items. There were a couple of times when I wanted a baked good, and it required to be heated in the toaster oven. Of all the times I've requested for it to be toasted, it couldn't because their toaster oven was broken! :( Other times, they ran out of soy milk in the MIDDLE of the day, so I couldn't order any smoothies which required this ingredient, (my "usual" smoothie is the Matcha Green Tea Blast). I ended up leaving on those weird times and heading straight to the Starbucks next door where I could order their Green Tea Frappucino instead. It's so weird how they run out of ingredients like that in the middle of the day. I wonder if they are doing inventory correctly? How can you run out of one of the main ingredients? Then again, it IS a popular Jamba Juice location. But at least forecast that and take that into account when calculating for inventory. Eek. No additional stars. This Jamba Juice is the best I've been to so far. Kasi was amazing! She was so nice and helpful and the reason I will be returning to Jamba Juices. I have a very complicated order and 9/10 times it is made wrong. When I come to Jamba Juice, I ask for a peanut butter and banna smoothie. Crazy I know. It's my fault I'm sure, coming in here and asking for a Peanut butter and banna smoothie, I often hear "That's not on the menu" or "let me get a manager" my favorite response was "would you like a wheat grass smoothie instead?"... absolutely not. During the 9/10 times it's made incorrectly there's chocolate involved. A few times there were strawberry, which is cool if you like them, will ruin in your day if your allergic. But we all know the saying "put me into anaphylactic shock once shame on you, anaphylactic shock twice shame on me." Jamba has really gone down hill. I have been a life long customer not at this location, but all over. Now their smoothies are like water or juice. They used to be so thick they would take forever to melt. I gave 2 stars because they remade it for me and said from now on when I order ask for it thicker. It is still water or juice like consistency. I will go to the grocery store to buy juice, but I spend my money on smoothies at Jamba. Now I'm on the hunt for a better smoothie place! read more

Love this location. The staff is always super quick and friendly! The store is also really clean and rarely crowded in my experience. I often get a smoothie and use their rewards system to get free ones, which is great. There's a lot of parking because it's part of a big complex. Brought in the juice groupon for my boss. There was a lot of confusion between me not seeing the bottles which were plainly displayed in sight (opps) and the product being brand new so the team members weren't very familiar. After finding where the bottles were, they only had 2 of the three flavors my boss wanted. However after a few minutes they grabbed the manager (female, sorry I forgot your name!) and she was very helpful and flexible about how I could handle my situation. She offered for me to come back once they were restocked but we opted to just grab another veggie flavor. So I went over to the Jamba Juice (by the Einstein Bagels) in Point Loma & first off the cashier, Irma [well her name tag said "Irma ;-)] was very rude when taking my order. Second, I went home with my order to see a bug in my ice where my orange wedges have been sitting on. I immediately went back to the Jamba Juice & told "Irma ;-)" about the bug in the drink, which she didn't even care about it. So I tell her to get the manager & the "manager" who's name I didn't get because her name tag was covered with her jacket told me it was a fruit fly. She kept giving me excuses & excuses of why there was a fruit fly in my ice instead of asking what we could do to resolve this problem. Also not to mention "Irma ;-)" kept butting in when the manager kept giving me excuses & called me a "dude" & had to tell her that I wasn't a "dude" & that I was a paying customer. After this whole round-about I finally just told them that basically if a health inspector saw this that the store wouldn't get an "A" rating & to just give me my money back...finally. But now I'm starting to think how many blended fruit flies have been in our smoothies... read more
