This is the only jamba in walnut creek, and I've had consistently good experiences here. Some employees are friendlier than others, but I've never had a genuinely bad experience. One thing I really appreciate is that I've arrived about 15 minutes before closing when there was still a line, and they didn't turn anyone away. Instead, they patiently helped everyone, which isn't always the case at places close to closing time. Our go to order is the orange dream machine, and my husband and I usually split cup a medium. Unlike some other jamba locations, they don't charge us an extra cup fee, which is a nice little bonus! I wish there was another jamba location closer to the downtown area but all in all this location has been reliable. read more

I've generally had positive experiences with the employees and drinks at this Jamba Juice and I've been coming here for over a decade. It's located in Countrywood Shopping Center, near Black Bear Diner, so there's plenty of parking. The store is always clean and well-lit and drinks come out in a timely manner. They also have machines where you can place your order, but weirdly enough, they don't always have the same options as the app, but that's ok - the employees are there too if you need to manually order and I don't think it's their fault. Smoothie chain located conveniently in a shopping plaza with plenty of parking, ease of ordering, and consistent drinks! I've visited this location plenty of times and I've never had a bad experience -- no, I can't say Jamba provides exceptional service and drinks, considering it is a chain after all, and I can't speak to others' reviews on here, but I've never had a problem and I've always left satisfied! I've been a long time fan of their Apple and Greens smoothie and I get that nearly every time I go to Jamba. The staff here prepare the smoothies very consistently and quality is on par with other locations; always delicious and satisfying. I've never had any bad experiences with the staff and I'm quite happy with my service, though to be fair, Im an introvert and always order through the app for pick up so I don't have to interact with people. Store is fairly clean, my drinks come out on time, my drinks are refrigerated, staff are friendly, I can't complain and I'm happy :) Not much seating indoors but there are a couple of tables with umbrellas outside, which is a plus! read more

I don't know if I came at a bad time (6:30 PM on a weekday), and I know from the few times I've been here that it tends to be slower than the regular ones I go to (San Ramon or Lafayette), but they pretty much just had a single teenager working and it took at least 10 minutes to place an order, and another several minutes to get the drink. The worst part was that there was another group of teenagers who were there (either off shift employees or friends of employees), who were placing their own orders and holding up the people behind them (luckily I was there before them). I wanna say that the 3 "customers" and the 1 worker were high schoolers, and I totally get it, when I had a job in high school (a few years ago) and I loved screwing around both during work and off shift. At least the drinks are the proper quality that you get at other Jambas but I would probably opt to go to another location in the future. Maybe it really was just bad timing as I know many establishments are understaffed these days and it is Thanksgiving week. Okay okay okay. Maybe I was a little harsh with the prior review, especially seeing that I wrote the review 15 minutes, while walking in the cold home and sin juice in my hands. Also, I was wrong about the $8.49 for 16 oz. It's apparently $8.60 for 30 oz. for the Orange Carrot Twist (and other juices). However, I was right about them being open until 9 pm, and it is quite disappointing when stores close 40 minutes early. I also wrote to corporate that night, and the regional manager seemed unaware of the new time change and pushed back saying that it should only be open to 8 pm. I did want to snap a picture of the Updated Hours outside their door, to prove that I was right, but didn't want to expend the additional effort to do so. After the last review, I started using Jamba.com, to order my juices ahead of time. I had always noticed that this location always said 'sold out'. I ended up going to the San Ramon location, in Crow Canyon Road, to pick up my juice (which is at $8.49 for 30 oz.). You can read my other review for my experience there. It wasn't until last Monday that I tried to come to this location. I noticed, immediately, that the price was more expensive (by only $0.11), which may explain why they took it off their online site. The staff was happy to make my order. They had juiced it right in front of me, and it was the best tasting Orange Carrot Twist I had in a long time. I had come back 3 other times since last Monday. When I first walked in there were only two customers in the store: me and someone else. Since Ii've put my order in, more than ten customers have come in to get their mobile orders. My order still hasn't been started because the people behind the counter are working on mobile orders for customers who haven't even arrived yet. The person in the front is telling new customers at the register that it will be a 20 minute wait because of the amount of mobile orders. I think prioritizing people who are not in front of you as opposed to those who are is bad customer service. They started making my bowl after 20 minutes of waiting. The two people working behind the counter were very nice and obviously working hard... But I think that they've been told to prioritize mobile orders over customers in the store which I find frustrating. It feels like you are blatantly being ignored. read more

I had been going to this location often because my kids were taking a class nearby. The smoothies have all been tasty. The food has not been consistently good. Today's visit was the worst of all visits. It's what brought me to write a review. The customer service at this location really needs improvement. The employees were stressed because it was crowded. They really can't handle it. Not one smile. With all my recent visits, I felt like all rmployees were new and unexperienced. Today they filled half of our purchased beverages 3/4 full. I asked them if they could fill it up. They said they were too busy. I mean, the guy was pounding on the blender for 5 minutes trying to get every little drop out. He wasn't at all happy, to say the least. A third lady, with a stern tone grabbed the cup and said they were supposed to fill it to this line. She said while holding my cup. The three of them stood arguing with my mom and I while the place was packed with people waiting for drinks, and waiting to order! Service was horrible! We were the only customers in the store and a brunette long hair female employee put 2 drinks on the counter. I thought it might have been an online order, so I asked her if they were ours. She barely said yes and gave me a very unfriendly glare over the counter! Then my son noticed she had shorted him part of his drink. So I asked her to pour the rest for him and she reluctantly did so. She acted like we were putting her out! I spent 35min waiting in the store to get one small smoothie. While waiting patiently with my 8 yr old, I noticed two people who ordered after me got their drinks first. I approached the desk to find out that they skipped my order. After a couple more people who ordered after me got their drinks, my boy finally got his. Super friendly, just not very intelligent overall employees or manager. Was told I could not pay $8 cash for a $7.69 large drink. I was more than willing for them to keep the change, and not go into the fact you can't refuse cash as a legal tender. The employee refuses, called the manager, they both seemed to try and reach me how Jamba Juice had to have exact change for an order. I requested they put it as the exact change, and just keep the $0.31 cents. They once again seemed to try and enlighten me that Jamba Juice had to have exact change. I immediately went to Jamba Juice concord, purchased the same drink, $8 cash no problem or mention. Then I went to Jamba Juice pleasant hill and was able to do the same with $20 paid in cash. I'm now waiting for my 3rd large white gummie at Jamba Juice Lafayette after paying $8 cash. Store policies are great, unless the break laws on receiving US tender methods of payment or seem to be set as a case by case opportunity to profile and send unwanted business away. Maybe it's a store policy and not the fault of the employees, but the lack of logic in everyone involved at this location is truly depressing. read more

I came here for dessert Saturday, February 23, 2091 after dinner at the Black Bear Diner next door. I had a small Chocolate Moo'd smoothie. Don't ask me what's in it, as I forgot. They were two other customers sitting down while talking. Pros: 1. The cashier was super friendly and made my smoothie quickly. She even brought it to me while I was seated, which Jamba Juice does not usually do. 2. The employees seemed to take their jobs seriously, including cleaning the machines. 3. The store was well lit. 4. Parking was adequate. Cons: 1. The restaurant smelled like bleach, as the employees were busy cleaning. I went at 6:30 PM and they close at 9 PM. Every time I've gone to this Jamba there's so much trash everywhere inside AND outside. Tables dirty. Trash cans full, dishes are all stacked up and dirty, everything is just messy/dirty !!! It's Jamba Juice and I love Jamba Juice but I've been hard pressed to find a location with decent service, conscientious employees and an interior where you can actually HEAR yourself or anyone around you. This location employs the usual teenage set, who are often more concerned about whatever it is teenagers are concerned about than serving me my smoothie. I get it-you make minimum wage and don't want to be there. As long as I get my order made correctly, I can deal with it. That being said, the music is always blasting in here-to the point that I can barely shout loud enough to place my order. The workers seem to act like this is all a mystery to them and there is a lot of scurrying that appears to go on behind the counter, but little hustle to actually get the smoothies made and customers out the door. But, what can you do-I'm a fan of their fresh squeezed carrot juice, their all fruit and veggie smoothies and the fact that I know what I like when I come to this chain. When we walked in and they seemed to be experiencing trouble with their POS system and needed to reboot them.
