I wanted to take my mom to a new place for breakfast. Her go to is iHop because she does not eat much at one time. Tina our server was great. They have the best servers at this establishment. Eggs with French toast My mom really loved this dish. She has enough leftovers for two more meals. Chicken Fried Steak and eggs. Always good and filling. My mom was talking the next day about how much she loved her meal here. I rarely order coffee out, have Nespresso first thing in the morning but today I did. Good coffee.

I can see why this restaurant is always busy because the food is great! My husband and I split the Dads Mashup. I really liked the gravy and biscuit. Seasoned well, not too salty. Service was good even though they were busy. They take reservations!

I got to try this place thru door dash. I through the breakfast burrito was delicious. With the salsa, made it top tier! I wish I could have gotten more salsa. The breakfast burrito was filled with sausage, eggs, cheese, etc and it was a good mix and ended up being very filling. I would say the country potatoes were just all right. I wills like to try this place in person, and order more things to try.

Decided last minute to have brunch here the day after Christmas. We were shocked how packed this restaurant was but they were truly accommodating. We had a twenty minute wait which we thought really??? but it happened as we got seated in 20 minutes! Nice! Catherine was our waitress & was fast & efficient. She was even requested by another table on the other side of the restaurant. I thought oh no we won't get our entrees & was I ever so wrong. These employees work well as a team as our food appeared rather quickly. My buttermilk pancakes were excellent & so fluffy & tasty! My poor wife's mouth was watering big time watching me scarfed down my pancakes! Heehee!!! This restaurant was very casual yet clean. As many people they got inside the restaurant that day we were truly amazed. We were very happy to see this family owned business doing super well. Too bad they don't open later in the day. They pretty much close by 2 PM. When the weather gets warmer they do have outdoors seating. Many people do order food to go as my wife had in the past. Jamie's is definitely your neighborhood restaurant & you can be sure we will return!!!

This place is amazing ! We always stop every morning on weekends for the coffee drinks and even if we're not having breakfast so much better than Starbucks. Food is incredible, super clean and very friendly staff! 10/10 recommended

This cafe should be rated #1 for excellent customer service. Warm welcome as you enter, wait time for party of two under 10 minutes. While waiting to be seated, and it being my first time dining here, my eyes began scouting the spacious dining area filled with happy customers. It was an arctic Saturday morning and I was desperately wanting a hot beverage. Our table server "Tina" was exceptional! She greeted us with a genuine smile, positive energy, patient, and very helpful with menu choices. Combine this with the warm welcome and you get #1 excellent customer service! Order up... I had 'mom's French toast, scrambled eggs and bacon...yummy. Wait. My food was lukewarm. I'm one who likes my food hot. The French toast could have been fluffy instead it was on the soggy side giving the bread pudding texture once the syrup was added. But it had delicious flavor. I also ordered from their "seasonal Sip' menu the Mocha White Mocha. Sadly it was tepid. Once I mixed in the whipped topping it instantly went cold. It tasted great so I took it to-go. I'm definitely coming back. Can't wait to try the char-broiled salmon filet, Cobb salad and more.

Deep Fried Strawberry French Toast - 10/10

Jamie's Cafe is a cute little modern diner in Elk Grove near I-5 serving all types of comfort food and is popular by demand for a reason. I can only imagine the weekends when they serve their Eggs Benedict! Yes, this is sadly only a weekend special. That's okay because we ended up getting their Fried French Toast and Dad's Mash up which were just as tasty. The smell and taste of their Deep Fried Strawberry French Toast was reminiscent of a funnel cake. I was afraid this might be on the heavier and oilier side after eating. Not at all! The fry was light and crisp, bread nice and thick, whipped cream and strawberry sauce topped with powdered sugar were obligatory to complete this incredible breakfast dessert. However, I wouldn't say it was overly sweet which was nice! This was also served with a side of 2 bacon strips and eggs. Dad's Mash Up was good but I think it could've been great if it had more prominent bacon pieces within the mix instead of sausage. Personal preference... I would describe this best as a fully loaded biscuits and gravy. Soft pillowy biscuits below smothered with cut up sausage, peppers, ham, tots, scrambled eggs, and thick luscious gravy. Extremely filling. Glad I tried it but would like to get something different next time. Brunch + comfort food are two of my top fav's. I can confidently say Jamie's Cafe left me satisfied and full. I will definitely be returning and highly recommend!

I think I'm officially biased. I really enjoy Jamie's every time. And they aren't perfect. But close. They were busy - per usual. We were motioned to sit down. Another few tables came in behind us. And then - a couple seated after us was offered menus and waters before us... just as I was going to say something about being skipped over our beautiful server arrived and the rest of our meal was great! Pastrami sandwich and breakfast mulitas. The chorizo on the mulitas was so good - they were hard to eat but I just went ahead and made a mess of my plate. I love that there are so many food options all the time. The specials really are special and the service is truly kind and attentive. Just be patient if they are super busy. It's worth the wait.

Met friends for brunch here. Service was excellent. Got the meat omelet with tater tots and a biscuit. Nice sized omelet with plenty of filling. Loved the soft, warm biscuit. The only minus was its kind of a noisy place, just one big open room. But otherwise, I will likely return.

Came here for brunch on a weekend. It was pretty busy but we were seated within 30 minutes. Got the ham benedict with tater tots and the country fried steak with potatoes. The waitress asked if we wanted bell peppers and onions but failed to mention it costed $1 more for each. They also gave very little for the $2 upcharge. Less than a teaspoon full of each. The hollandaise sauce was a very strange texture. It was a bit grainy and very thick. And had a very strong aftertaste that made it hard to eat. The rest of the food and drink were ok.

As soon as we walked in to this busy place we got a greeting. A large airy place with lots of windows letting in lots of light, very comfortable & welcoming atmosphere. Two of us ordered the salmon avocado toast on wheat bread & it was very nicely prepared, very delicious. The greek salad & 1/2 beef sandwich was a real hit with my friend's order. A new favorite place I plan to visit again when I'm back in Elk Grove.

Came here just after 100pm party of 6. No problem being seated but service stopped after that. I had to get up and get Menus. Server finally came she was very nice but No apologies just took our drink order did not bring Set ups. I ordered a 16.95 spinach Salad with all the fixings Which for that price I felt should be plentiful. Protein was extra 5.00 but I passed. Others at the table ordered hearty food. The portions were huge. Everyone liked what they ordered said good flavor and were pleased except the sunny side up eggs whites were crusty. I got my bowl of spinach with no bacon which was listed as an ingredient and very little feta, onion and mushrooms. The egg was sliced fine so that was what you saw. I did not want it remade but I advised our server when she checked back with us which was when we were near done. She offered to bring me bacon I declined since I was finishing up. She was apologetic and adjusted the price. I appreciate that but would rather have a good meal. So go here and order meat and potato dishes and you will be happy. I won't be returning. Our server was personable that was nice but was absent.

    Breakfast Burrito
    Danni L.

This cafe is a popular place in the area that sits near the highway. We had not made reservations so we expected a bit of a wait since the place was full. We were given a wait time of 10 minutes which turned out to be accurate. The staff was super friendly and attentive. I ordered the Jamie's Breakfast Hash with the eggs scrambled soft and a little runny. The waitress brought the food and asked if the eggs were cooked as desired, which I thought was so thoughtful. The breakfast burrito was pretty decently sized. Overall, great spot.

The staff is super attentive and ready to fill your cups or take away any finished dishes. Tonight I had the plum salad. Sounded a little on the wild side but it was amazing! So sweet and refreshing I ate every bit of it! Loved it! For my entree I picked the braised short ribs .. it was so tender! I was put off by the blue cheese mash beneath it a bit but it's ok because the short rib was so delicious. For dessert I had the berry crumb cobbler. The cobbler came with a dollop of vanilla ice cream on top. It was great! The berries were sweet and the crumb top was so buttery. Everything flowed deliciously. My husband had the filet mignon.. he said it was made medium rare just as he asked. And of course the crème brûlée is the reason why he keeps coming back lol My go to for fine dining in Elk Grove! I made a reservation inquiry for my birthday at exactly 5:00 PM on Saturday, April 11, for a party…read moreof two. I was told the earliest available reservation was 7:45 PM. I then asked if there was any chance of being seated sooner as a walk-in, and Aubrey told me they had room for two at a table in the bar area. I specifically asked whether it was an actual table where we could comfortably order food, because I did not want to be stuck at some tiny corner setup where only one plate could fit. I also made it clear that it was my birthday and that I wanted something a little more formal and comfortable. I was told it would be in the front by the bar, not shoved in a corner, though it could be a little crowded if people were in the waiting area. When we arrived, the first issue was parking. For a first-time guest, parking was unnecessarily difficult to figure out, especially during a rainstorm. Since the restaurant is set up like a small house, it was not obvious where to park, and there was no clear sign letting us know there was parking around the back. Once we walked in, I immediately saw the table that had been described to us. It was right near the bar against the wall, and it was much smaller and more awkward than I had been led to believe. My girlfriend was wearing a dress, and because it was such a high table, it made it uncomfortable for her to sit naturally and comfortably. As soon as we sat down, I looked at the table and asked if we were really going to be able to order multiple items and eat comfortably there. I was told they would "pace it" and "make it work." That should have been the warning sign right there. We started with two ice waters, and even that nearly filled the table. They brought a pitcher and poured the water into the glasses. I asked for a separate cup of ice, and because there was so little room on the table, I had to ask the waiter to take the glass back and pour it for me so I would not spill everything. That is how cramped this setup was. We ordered the chicken breast special and a half dozen oysters. First came the garlic bread, and now we had bread, butter, two waters, silverware everywhere, and barely any room left. Then the oysters arrived, and everything had to be shifted around just to make it fit. At that point, the table had bread, oysters, hot sauce, waters, and multiple pieces of silverware for each guest, and it felt like one wrong move would send a glass to the floor. After we finished the oysters and bread, they cleared the table and brought out our entrée. We ordered the shareable chicken breast after I specifically asked whether it would be enough food for both of us. The waiter said it should be. In reality, it was about four small pieces of chicken once cut, three asparagus spears, and two very small scoops of mashed potatoes. For the price, it was honestly disappointing. I cannot remember the last time I paid that much at a nicer restaurant and still left hungry. What made it worse was that they knew it was my birthday and did absolutely nothing to acknowledge it. No small dessert, no candle, no gesture, nothing. Ironically, the only people who made the night feel special were another couple who had apparently been dining there for years. They overheard us mention it was my birthday and kindly bought us two sparkling wines. That was thoughtful, but it also added even more clutter to an already ridiculously tiny table. The service overall was underwhelming. We were barely checked on, and the whole experience felt awkward. The hostess kept staring at us throughout the meal, and at one point, she rolled her eyes when she went to take the Tabasco sauce, and we told her we still needed it for the chicken. For the prices Boulevard Bistro charges, I expected much better service, better communication, and a much more comfortable dining experience. Instead, the whole night felt misleading, cramped, and disappointing. I will not be coming back.

Came in with my family (party of 4) on a Sunday morning around 11am expecting it to be busy, which it was. We were told it was a 15 minute wait - no problem. After getting seated, by the hostess, it took 5 minutes for a server to come by touch our table, no waters, no name or introduction, just a simple "I'll be right with you guys." We were seated in the outside patio, no music, just quiet enough to hear every tables conversation. After taking our order, we asked for waters, which was dropped off to us almost 20 minutes later. After waiting almost 40 minutes, I got up and went inside to check the status of our order. I was told they were working on it and should be out in 5 mins. Food never came out after waiting almost an hour after being seated, so we decided to leave. I kindly told our waitress that we were leaving and asked if it was possible to speak with a manager in which I was told "we don't have a manager. The owner is here, but I doubt he will come talk to you right now since he is really busy." I'm all for supporting small businesses and I understand that coming in for Sunday brunch - it's going to be busy. But this was by far the worst "dining" experience ever. We will not be returning to this restaurant and neither should you. To make matters worse, the couple next to us also got up and left when we did due to the horrible customer service. Ran into the couple outside who told us that they left because they were too hungry to continue waiting and that the service was SLOW!
