I have eaten at Jasons in Grapevine for many years but in December of 2014 I had dinner there and shortly thereafter became violently ILL. After throwing up nothing but Jasons sandwich for 4 hours I finally went to the ER. Long story short I called Jasons Deli the next morning and asked them to cover my insurance deductible of $250. The manager took my information and submitted it to his insurance. That insurance company (Travelers) told me there was no proof (the got my hospital records) that Jasons made me sick, and they declined my claim. Now that ER visit cost my Insurance company $2500 and me $250 .... so now I'm off to Small Claims Court. But be warned ... JASONS DELI does not stand by the freshness of their food or the cleanliness of their restaurants. read more

Great place to mix up our regular choices with a healthy option. Kids love the salad bar so they end up eating vegetables, eggs, salad, etc. instead of the usual unhealthy choices at other establishments. I usually just get the salad bar and occasionally add a cup of soup - most are just "okay" and fall too much on the salty side. Wife gets a sandwich and soup - today she had the caprese panini with potato soup. Free ice cream at the end! read more

My boyfriend and I Had lunch here yesterday. First, the southwest chicken sandwich is absolutely amazing... but Another reason other than food is the reason I will forever return to this particular location. My boyfriend left his jacket in the booth, in the pocket was his wallet containing uncashed checks, credit cards, and $900. We didn't realize they were missing until much later...we were told to call at 5am the next morning bc the GM will be there and he can watch the cameras. Ian, reviewed the tapes and followed up with the team members who were seen with it. We got a very quick response back from him and the jacket, wallet, and all of the contents were there and accounted for. Huge shout out to Ian and his team for restoring some of our lost faith in humanity, We are forever grateful. read more

I go here for the 'do-it-yourself' salads and their tasty sandwiches/soups. This place has pretty much everything you'd expect for a commercial style deli. Great for lunch with clients or catching up with an old friend. You don't leave this place feeling like crap, that's for certain. read more

One of the better DFW locations! This place is always packed during lunch on the weekends, good luck even finding a parking spot, let alone a table. Definitely worth it though. Best turkey-avocado sandwiches I've ever had. This location is also very clean and the employees are great; they'll come check on the tables occasionally and refill drinks or fetch napkins. I eat in this location pretty regularly, but usually end up waiting 20 minutes longer for online orders than the time selected! For this reason, I typically order online from other locations. Tonight my family was craving the salad bar so, I go against my better judgement, order from this location. I didn't show up until 20 minutes past the time I selected online in hopes it would be ready and much to my surprise it was all packed up and ready. I grab the food, get home and then see I have three salads along with other food and realize there is no dressing. It's selected on the receipt and printed out, but not in my bag. I call the location to let them know and get Greg, the managing supervisor. I explain to him what has happened and he very sarcastically says, "it looks like they went out without dressing". I reply, "yeah Greg, that's why I called". He proceeds to tell me that I shouldn't be sarcastic with him, which is funny considering how sarcastic he said what he did. I ask if he's the manager because I can't believe how this manager is talking to me, a paying customer when his team made the error. He replies that he is the managing supervisor to which I reply, "wow" because I'm shocked this guy clearly doesn't care. He then says, "I mean I can give you some coupons or something if you want". At this point, I just hung up as it was clear I wasn't talking to a professional. My 16 year old is more professional than this "supervising manager". I will never frequent this location again. Save yourself the trouble! Drive the extra miles to another location, I know I will. read more

Been there twice this week - Always great food, and recently remodeled since I was there last. I like the new dining room arangment, less cafeteria feel, but still I always think they don't get the tables cleared off quick enough, seems like I always struggle to find either an empty table or one with the dishes cleared. 5 stars for what it is: quick, inexpensive, healthy, clean, and great service. Is there a better salad bar in the area? Sure. Is there a better deli in the area? Sure. But Jason's Deli gets 5 stars because it is a solid go-to fresh food spot that does not disappoint. The sandwiches are great, small, but tasty and inexpensive. The salad bar is small but has just enough variety to really fill you up...and is inexpensive. Employees here are very nice and welcoming, and they are constantly cleaning (good sign!). I am fed up with this Jason's Deli! I used to be a weekly customer, going on 20 years! First, I had to stop purchasing my favorite sandwich, the Sgt Pepper, because the grissle in the roast beef was so bad I would have to spit out half the sandwich! Luckily, they introduced the pot roast assiago which I started liking and purchasing weekly. That is until tonight, when after investigating the funny tasting meet found that it had GREEN and ORANGE markings all over it. Now, there is NOTHING that is green or orange on this sandwich and it appears, and tastes, like not only is it spoiled but covered in ink? Is it toxic? Who knows. I have been coming to this place for a long time since I work near by, but today my experience wasn't so great! I usually order my lunch online since like most people we have assigned lunch times. I placed my order to be ready by 11:30am since I only have a quick 30 min break to eat. I get there and my order is not ready in the assigned area where it usually is. One of the cashiers did acknowledge me which was good, and asked about my order to follow up on it. I assumed after that they knew I was waiting for it. I was trying to be patient since they seemed busy, but after almost 20 min! I asked about my order again and an African American lady working there said oh we have them over here (in a different area), like If I was supposed to know ?! She handed me my stuff I said thank you and I left very upset! I wish they would have let people know about the other area, and have followed up with me on my order. I get back to work ,and my order is missing the dressing I ordered for my salad! So I had less than 5 min to eat, and no dressing to put on my salad! I was not a happy customer. read more

I have been to this Jason's Deli in the past and have enjoyed the food and the experience. Tonight was a much different experience. I went with my fiancé and we ordered our food to go. We were 2 out of 4 customers inside. Our food took about 20 minutes, which is pretty crazy timing to make sandwiches. As my fiancé and I sat there waiting on our food, we watched as these 3 Hispanic ladies stood behind the counter talking or gossiping ...not paying attention to the making the food nor did they have any sense of urgency. There was another lady who started packing up the salad bar at 9:40pm and the place wasn't supposed to close until 10pm. We got home and the bread was hard on both of our sandwiches, my finance's sandwich was missing bacon and my California club was missing the guacamole..... All in all it was a huge let down , don't set your expectations too high for this location. read more

The local manager (Jason) was SO helpful and accommodating, making what could have been a difficult order very EASY! Gluten free options, vegetarian, even vegan! They delivered! This Jason's deli is a lot nicer then many of the other ones I've been too! The people here are very friendly and don't act like they hate the job, they are coversatable and friendly! I enjoy going to the salad bar because it's a lot of fresh salad ingredients and here they keep it clean and organized! Then they do have the additional ice cream for a little treat for yourself , which makes it just that much better! Very good work here at this locstion! read more

I came to the restaurant on Thursday evening June 30th at about 7:45. There were two in our party and we proceeded to order. There were not many customers in the dining room but there were many dirty tables. When we tried to sit down, we asked to have a table cleaned and it was done immediately and very well. While waiting in line for the salad bar, I noticed gnats on what turned out to be my food order waiting to be delivered. I asked that our food be remade and it was. While at the salad bar I noticed more gnats and flies buzzing about. There was even a dead gnat in the cottage cheese spoon. I delivered the spoon complete with dead gnat to the manager on duty. He took the spoon from me without comment he didn't say a word. When I got to the table there were still gnats buzzing about. While our remade food was being delivered by staff member Jackie, another gnat landed on my salad. Witnessing this, Jackie apologized sincerely and set about trying to make it right and offered a complimentary dessert. Later, the "manager" I had given the dead gnat to walked by and asked if everything was OK. While I was trying to answer he was already walking away before I could complete my answer. I replied as good as it can be. He turned around to apologize and make excuses for the bugs. His apology didn't come across as sincere and almost sounded like he was apologizing that I didn't like bugs in my food rather than apologizing for having bugs in his restaurant. Jackie stopped by a couple more times to check on us and make sure we were cared for. The manager never returned. Normally I have good experiences at Jason's deli but I will not be returning to this bug infested location. I will however enjoy the delicious looking carrot cake in a sealed container delivered by Jackie. read more

Very poor, the bread on the chicken salad sandwhich was stale and everything was bland overall. I will have a hard time sleeping tonight spending $30.00 on this meal. The Icing on the cake was on the way out the employees at the counter asked if we wanted to complete an online survey for a free cookie. When we said no as soon as we walked out the door the said " would you want to know if you won the lotterey?". I will never go back to this place ever. read more

So I normally love Jason's but a bit disappointed with their promise of refund that I have yet to receive. My son found a tooth, yes a tooth in his salad that did not belong to him and was promised a refund. I understand in the food industry they can not 100% look and search for mishaps in all their food items, but when promised a refund you would expect that to happen especially for such a huge "mishap"! read more

Love the salad bar and all of the foods tried have been good. The only downer with this location is the free ice cream. I don't know why it tastes different then the Jason's in Alliance. Unfortunately had the ice cream at that location first and loved it. Why do I spend so much time talking about the ice cream? Because I think it is the coolest concept that anyone who eats here gets the ice cream for free. Great deal especially if you have little ones. read more

I generally eat at Jason's once a month with good food. Today I decided to try their new Quinoa Shrimp and Mango Salad. The picture looked really good. What arrived was about 1 1/2 cups of quinoa with three little pieces of shrimp and I kid you not because I started looking, four very little pieces of mango. Foiled again by the marketing photos. Great concept but definitely not worth the $8.59. I would not recommend it. I mentioned it to the manager and the response was oh I'm sorry. I have been eating at Jason's Deli for 20 years in 2 states. They use good ingredients and menu options are affordable for what you get. The restaurants also generally appear clean and well managed. That said, I am disappointed in the Grapevine location. I question the cleanliness and management at this location. On a recent visit, there were flies buzzing around everywhere. I'd also ordered a "build your own" sandwich requesting wrap bread. Not sure if the cashier rang it up wrong or the prep line just made it wrong, but I noticed they'd used wheat bread and told the manager I asked for a wrap. He re-made it but acted annoyed like it was my fault they got my order wrong. Most recently, during a peak dining time, I noticed an employee was refilling the salad bar canisters and transferring potato salad on the salad bar from the old container to the new one with just a glove. She was using her gloved hand to scoop out the old potato salad and add it to the new container. Maybe that is standard practice, but the visual of someone reaching a gloved hand in and scooping out the ingredients in plain sight is nasty. Can't they use a clean serving spoon or something? This same employee was doing the same with the salad bar pudding and I saw her take a bit from the rim of the old canister and eat it right there! I really hope this isn't a standard company practice but it made me never want to eat the salad bar again. I will most likely try to avoid this location in the future as it doesn't seem clean. read more

WORST CUSTOMER EXPERIENCE I'VE EVER HAD. If I could give this place a "0 star" review, believe me I would. This is actually the first review I've ever made, normally I don't care enough to go online and write something out, but this was by far the worse experience I've ever had when trying to PLACE AN ORDER. I called to make a delivery order. The "Customer service rep" was incredibly rude, kept covering the phone (not very well, I might add) to ask his boss questions about my order, was completely unknowledgeable about the menu, computer system, delivery, just every aspect of his job. I should mention that the "Customer service rep" who answered my call first argued with me that his store would NOT deliver to my location, 5 miles away. I had to convince him that I was, in fact, within their delivery range (I looked it up online before calling.) Then, when I tried to place my order for the continental breakfast, I could overhear his boss (a female) in the background, retorting in a disgusted voice that "Tell her that the pastries are FROZEN; they're going to be frozen when she gets them." I am completely turned off by this service, and the sad thing is this is not the first time I've had a bad experience with Jason's Deli. I told him to forget the order, as I am not going to try to CONVINCE a company to take my business. Instead, I went with Panera Bread catering, where I had a wonderful experience, and gave them my $75 worth of business, which I guess is insignificant to Jason's Deli. Don't you worry; I will never attempt to burden you with orders again. I will NEVER again use Jason's Deli, for personal or business purposes. There are plenty of companies who will WELCOME my business instead. read more

Our cycle group stopped in after a ride, several riders, having many numbers posted on the table. Two orders were for soup. The server brought both 'bowls' on one tray and instead of walking around to the customer and setting it down, she attempted to serve it OVER THE SHOULDER AND ACROSS THE TABLE, spilling hot soup down the side of a rider/customer. She stood there cursing while the customer went to the restroom to clean up, and later another server removed the soup-covered chair for cleanup. Later the chair-removing server brought another 'bowl' of soup, and several at our table had to tell him to GO AROUND, AND SET THE 'BOWL' DOWN, to which he replied "Look, this isn't my table, I'm trying to help you." ??? Why is 'bowl' in quotes? Because if you look at it, the portion is the same as a cup, but you are paying more for the glass! The design of it is poor, given the way it's served across bodies and tables. It should be designed as the cup but larger, with complete sides UP that hold the liquid IN it. read more

So disappointed! Have been to this location over the years a lot of times. Everything usually pretty good. Today I called in a to go order for my husband and myself because he is in the hospital at Baylor Grapevine and we all know how great hospital food is!!! Pretty simple, we ordered a roast beef and Swiss cheese cold sandwich on French bread with mayo only. Also a California club on French bread with one baked chips and one regular chips. I got the sandwiches back to the hospital and the roast beef was warm, cheese melted, no pickle and the wrong chips. I called them and they said if I didn't want to come back they would refund my money. Then I opened the club, and the cheese was melted, lettuce on club soggy and limp, it was warm. I called them back and had to come back and get my order again. They made them right and asked if I wanted cookies or cake for my troubles. No, I just want to come one time and get my order right. Got the sandwiches back to the hospital and they were cold, had the right chips but were made so sloppy they were hard to eat. The cheese was just laid in top like another bun. Don't know how they expect you to be able to eat that and keep the cheese on. Very frustrating. Everything falling out, cheese was a nightmare, too much trouble to eat and wasn't that good. Ate 1/2 and threw the rest out. They gave me the wrong receipt the first time and was kind enough to staple two receipts on the bag the second time I was there. Still don't know if I I got a credit or not but definitely not worth 2 round trips from the hospital. Won't go to that location ever again. read more
