Plate 1 of AYCE Salad bar

My friend and I hadn't been back in a while and we kept talking about their amazing salad bar. We had a nice lunch here with chilled salad plates and plenty of salad items including some premium items on the bar too. Our salads, toppings and dressings were really flavorful and fresh. Ad'janad was really nice in taking orders correctly and making sure everything was in the bag on my carryout too as I ended up ordering a Ruben to take home. The corned beef was packed over 2 inches high and was meaty with very little fat marbling. I wish I could have put a picture up but that sandwich didn't last long once it was opened. Prices may appear a little high but you get what you pay for here; generous portion sizes and quality meats and ingredients!

A great place for lunch! This was my first time at Jason's and I had a great experience. Workers are very kind, they work hard, and serve fast. It gets very busy during lunch but they manage well. I wouldn't say Jason's Deli is unique. They have basic lunch options which is not a bad thing! I had the chicken panini and it tasted great. I would definitely order it again. When you dine in, you can serve yourself to some free ice cream!

As soon as I walked in I was offered a menu. The employee was really nice and helpful. This restaurant has lots of seating and also had a salad bar. I ordered the turkey panini and it was really good. The pickle was individually wrapped which is a great idea! They also offer complementary vanilla/chocolate soft serve ice cream to their guests.

Jason deli is always consistent with my sandwiches. The portion sizes are perfect for the cost. The services is okay. Most days its good some days they are distracted. The ambiance cafeteria staff salad bar. The staff will bring your meal to you if you dine in otherwise you wait for your order to go. The waiting section could be a little better designated but otherwise everything else is good. Now on to my favorites.... the pot pie soup and the chicken chilli. The salad bar. The Turkey sandwich and corned beef with pastrami. Let's be honest you can never go wrong with a hearty sandwich to fuel your day.

Some of my favorites are the chorizo breakfast wrap, the roast beef panini, and their signature Italian wedding soup. My wife and I usually add a side trio to get some greens in as well, which is always a great complement to our meal. Service is straightforward. You order up at the counter, grab your number, and find a seat. Just a note that it can get busy on weekends and during peak lunch hours, so plan accordingly. In addition, they also have a full coffee bar if you're in the mood for an espresso or specialty drink. Solid lunch spot that we keep coming back to. I'm a fan. 'Til next time, cheers!

Sweetgreen is my Go-To for when I'm In the office and want to fuel my body with "better for me…read morefood" that also tastes good. I love that the Oakbrook location is conveniently located. It's also always clean when I come & the staff is super friendly. I wish I would have gotten the young lady's name who made my bowls today because she was amazing. I'm a creature of habit and the Harvest Bowl is what I'm getting 90% of the time. Today's bowl was super fresh (as always) and very tasty! I like to swap out the roasted chicken for the blackened chicken. That's another thing I love about SweetGreen is how seamless it is to customize your meal! The ONLY reason I'm giving 4 stars instead of 5 is because ya girl HATES an onion. And my sweet potatoes today are giving a pinch of onion flavor. I'm assuming someone prepped the onion then prepped the sweet potatoes. Nevertheless, the bowl is still great and I'll def be back.

My wife had a doctor appointment in Oakbrook so we went to the mall & grabbed lunch @ Sweetgreen. I love this place kind of like chipotle but healthier. They have a large selection of salads w/a variety of toppings including choices of proteins. They have salmon, steak, chicken or tofu. My wife ordered the chicken avocado ranch salad & I ordered the KBBQ Steak Bowl w/purple rice. It was delicious. Both of these salads are huge & can be shared had we known how large they were we might have. Yet since we didn't we both have enough for another meal. This Sweetgreen is clean w/a great crew handling a large volume of people. Now that I know what a Sweetgreen is I will definitely be back again

I requested our group to be placed in a corner since we were dining in with 2 kids and an infant who would be sitting in a stroller. She had said they were fully booked and a different party needed the table I was eyeing since they would be coming in with 3 strollers. I was there from 9am-11am on a Friday and it was not packed nor did a family use the table I wanted while I was there. No one came in with 3 strollers either. Aside from that, I was trying to be helpful so the stroller wouldn't get in the way of customers and wait staff. The host basically made it harder for them, not me. I started with the hazelnut oat mocha and this was delicious. This was the highlight of my time there. For food I tried the Shakshouka and it was not good. The pouched eggs were not cooked. From my pictures - it looks like the eggs were cracked in the dish and the chef called it a day. I didn't chance eating it, I ate the pita it came with and left very hungry. I'm giving Beatrix a generous 2 due to the space being beautiful and my latte being great. Unfortunately this is not a spot I'll be returning to.

Staff was really friendly too, didn't feel rushed or anything. I ordered the hot chocolate and... wow. First thing, the size. I've never seen a cup that big at a coffee shop. Pretty sure it healed my soul right away. Taste wise, super smooth. Nice and hot. Had light cinnamon notes that show up after a sip. Not overly sweet either, which I liked. Creamy texture, almost like melted chocolate but lighter. They even did latte art on top and served it in this artisan cup. Looked way too nice for something I was about to destroy in five minutes. Came for chocolate, left spiritually repaired. Honestly might come back next time my soul needs maintenance.

Probably the slowest I've had at a coffee shop. It took over an hour for my latte to be ready. The pastries then took an additional 20 minutes after that. They also got my friend's pastry order wrong so she had to wait even longer. Additionally it was extremely hot inside the cafe. Most people were complaining about how toasty it was. I did feel the AC kick in maybe 5 mins prior to leaving. I tried a seasonal drink - Ube latte. I didn't taste the Ube at all, + I didn't taste any type of the espresso. It just tasted like milk. For the pastries I tried the guava pastry and a cheese empanada. Both were bland and underwhelming. CFS is pricey - the quality, service, and atmosphere did not live up to how expensive it is.

First and foremost - everyone I interacted with was SUPER KIND, and I really liked some aspects of…read morethe experience. But for a premium price, I expect premium product, and this place is rough around the edges in ways that feel easy to fix. I'm pointing them out in hopes they'll be corrected. First the positive - the food was pretty good. Not great for the price, but pretty good. Drip coffee was better than most diners/cafes in the area. The ambience was pleasant. Here's the issues. 1. The furniture needs a refresh and I don't think the place has even been open that long. The side tables by the window are losing their finish - a fragment of wood got caught under my finger nail as I was sitting down and just lightly grazed the table with my hand. I also brushed away a few additional flakes coming up. The chiffon curtains are charming until you look closer and see they're speckled with food from past diners. A moss ball decoration in the bathroom is missing half its moss. It's little stuff, obviously, but when I spot things like this at a place otherwise charging a premium partially for cute aesthetics, I always get concerned that the lack of attention to detail might also be getting reflected in the food. 2. Value for money and food quality are also an issue. $20 for one slice of sourdough cut in half, a rather overdone French omelette with sour cream on top (not mentioned on the menu and a weird choice) a bowl of fruit I wasn't interested in rather than a choice of free side, and sausages I paid extra for, is not good value to me. The bread was good! The omelette was mediocre. The sausage was very solid, had a slight funk to it that I liked and suggested to me it was made in house - but 7 dollars for two sausage patties is absolutely wild. I would suggest Milkstop rethink the combos on its menu to include more and be priced a touch more transparently. 3. Finally, service. Everyone was VERY KIND, again, want to stress that, but service was slow and rather inattentive for most of the meal. The place was only half full, but water and an initial drink order were slow, and I waited for a while for the check while the staff chatted amongst themselves in the corner of the room. Not trying to be a dick, the life of a service worker is tough, but the place was mostly empty and I noticed they already charge a 3% service gratuity on your orders, so I'd expect a little better. Basically this place has a very charming surface with some wonkiness around the edges. I will definitely come back again but guys, come on - ditch the gross chiffon curtains, for both our sakes.

The cheeseburger was okay, but the patty was smaller than expected and could have used a bit more seasoning to really stand out. It wasn't bad, just a little underwhelming compared to other spots. The loaded fries were a highlight--topped with cheese, Italian beef, and fresh jalapeños. They were flavorful and absolutely massive, easily a meal on their own. We also had the breaded steak sandwich, which was decent but could have used some jalapeños for extra flavor. Portion-wise, it was very generous and easily enough for two people to share. The chicken fingers were just okay--good size, but again, a bit more seasoning would have helped. The mushrooms were solid, and the onion rings were better than most--big and crispy--but there were quite a few broken pieces. We also tried the famous cannoli shake, which tasted exactly like you'd expect--a cannoli in liquid form. If you like cannolis, you'll probably enjoy it. Overall, not a bad spot with generous portions and friendly service, but some items--especially the burgers--could use a bit more flavor and a larger patty to really stand out.
