We received a 'constant water flow' notice from the city of Glendora. Like a good city should, they offered a leak-detection program, where they would come out for free and find where the leak was and what needed to be done. However, typical Glendora, they were shorthanded and had a backlog of jobs, and would not be able to come out for two weeks! So their 'free' offer was totally useless, unless we wanted to pay for untold gallons of water that were leaking someplace on our property. We did an Internet search for plumbing leak detection and JB Plumbing was the first name that came up. We had never used JB Plumbing before, and in all honesty had never heard of it. We cast our fate to the wind and gave them a call. From the friendly gentleman that answered that call to Johnny and Walter, who did the brunt of the work, to supervisor Ryan, who stopped by several times to provide input, it was a total professional operation. Every one of them was knowledgeable, courteous, helpful, hardworking, neat, and punctual. Even when they ran into a few unexpected twists and turns in the manner in which the pipes had originally been installed, they understood the situation and were able to quickly resolve any unforeseen issues. I had an emergency. My dogs accidentally hit the water hole pipe and water was coming out everywhere. I had to call the water department to turn it off. They had to turn off the water. Despite another plumbing outfit advising extensive repairs to broken pipes was needed, Jonny felt it was more likely a simple restriction in the drain and he was right. 8-4-16 Kyle came out to house, because of a slow draining main line to the street. I made the appointment for 2 hours after I called. He arrived on time after calling me prior to arrival. He snaked the main line to the street, removing a clump of tree roots. After flushing the system, the drain works fine. The price was very fair and competitive for the job done, BELOW what was quoted over the phone. He explained that the tree roots eventually would clog the line again. He recommended that the drain be viewed by camera and be hydro cleaned and gave me the price. He explained that if the drain was broken by the tree roots it would need to be dug up and repaired, which would be very expensive due to the depth of the sewer line under the front yard. I feel he was up front and honest about the expenses and he did not try a hard sell, but just gave me the information. Steve M. read more

Plumbing problems are always frustrating. I am somewhat handy around the house and yesterday my shower was completely blocked and wouldn't drain. After work, I tried several different ways to unclog it with no luck. My attempts only resulted in both showers being clogged. I called JB Plumbing around 8:30 pm and within an hour a very nice young man, Cory, showed up. He was very polite and took a look at the problem and went to work. He struggled a little, it took him about 1 hour, but in the end he was successful in getting my problem solved. The charges for emergency service were reasonable. Jeff, the owner, is completely unprofessional in way that he referred to me as "bro" and "pal" over a mistake that he made by not showing up for my appointment. I called at 7:30pm the night prior for an appointment the following day and he said that he wrote it on the wrong day and asked, "oh, we didn't come out?" When I called him back to let him know how unprofessional it was to not show for an appointment he asked me not to call him again.
