Wow is all I can say. These guys worked 11 hours over this past weekend for me. Spoke with JC the owner over the phone, very professional and courteous over the phone. I felt real comfortable just by talking to him. His guys showed up on time I had so much stuff to move. We went from Pittsburg to Castro valley. These guys were so nice. Moving across the country can be exhausting. My boyfriend and I packed our truck on the east coast and were planning on unpacking the truck ourselves in Berkeley. We realized we were too tired and sore to move into our apartment by ourselves. JC Express movers handled our move in Danville. We moved from a 4 bedroom house to a 5 bedroom house and they did a great job! JC came out personally to give me a quote in writing beforehand. He walked though the home and spent the time to give me a full quote and came back with a very reasonable price - better than I was expecting. On the day of the move, he directed his team very professionally and they were so fast I couldn't believe it! The team was professional, courteous and seemed very trustworthy. I have to give another shout out to this moving company. This company takes pride in what they do and they do it well. It has been 5 months since they last moved me. Because of my past experience with JC Express, I decided to call on them again to move into my new apartment on Nov. 2017. I do not overstate my opinion as to the exceptional service one gets with this company and if there were 10 stars, I would rate them a 10! My move was executed with so much care and thought. I had a huge white couch that was wide, long and heavy and had to be hoisted up through the back porch. The attempt was made but the porch was too high. Zenon who I was happy to have on this move again didn't take this defeat and to my amazement he decided to use a rickety ladder to gain a bit of height so that he could further push my couch up the porch with one of the guys holding the ladder steady. I was worried for him falling back and my couch landing on him and his partner! Keep in mind that there was a hillside behind them as I live on the edge of a hillside bluff - it was a precarious situation, but Zenon was very determined and they got my couch into my apartment. All of the men that work for this company are great, but Zenon has always taken control of a difficult situation to get the end result you want. Super nice guy! They obviously knew exactly what they were doing and took very good care of all of my belongings. When they got to my new place, they set up door and floor protectors. The two men who completed all of my move (including climbing quite a few stairs on a hot day!) were done unloading in about an hour, which made the total move including drive time 3 hours - Amazingly quick! Based on positive Yelp reviews, I scheduled JC Express Movers for a move within the city limits of Walnut Creek. They turned out to be hands down the best movers I have ever used. The Office staff was friendly and helpful; the booking process was simple and easy. The movers showed up exactly when they said they would and promptly started to work. They were personable, careful, professional and hard working. They did everything I asked them to do without question or complaint and ensured that all my possessions were carefully handled. The move was completed in a timely manner and not a single item was damaged in any way. They made the unpleasant task of moving as tolerable as it could be and I would use them again in a heartbeat. These guys aren't the stereotypical 2 guys and a U-Haul moving company. We were moving from San Francisco to the East Bay and needed movers to take everything from our 3rd floor walk up. They were very accommodating on various options (number of movers, what items we wanted them to pack, which items we specifically wanted extra insurance once) that allowed us to tailor the quote to our budget. Their moving rates per person and per truck were very reasonable. Also, due to some road construction in our new neighborhood, we couldn't just use 1 large truck, so we asked for 2 small ones. I was a bit annoyed when 3 small trucks appeared (which all looked new or in very good used condition!). I didn't want to have to pay for a 3rd one. Well, it turns out we had more stuff than I expected! The movers were very courteous and hardworking. They diligently wrapped and carried our stuff downstairs. I didn't notice any damage to our walls or the items. At the end, they walked over the papers with me, which I signed and then paid them. However, the moment they drove away, I noticed that there were multiple math mistakes on the bill which resulted in both under and overcharges, but it all added up to a net overcharge. I immediately called and left a voicemail (it was Sunday evening), ready for a battle. First thing the next morning I got a call from JC himself who was immediately dedicated to making things right. We went over the numbers, and JC realized the mistakes and mailed out a check for the difference with 5% on top. I'm pretty sure it's an honest mistake b/c the lead mover had his colleague helping him with some of the math, and the owner quickly made everything right. I can understand mistakes, but having an owner who cares and resolves them is what keeps this as a solid 5-star review. read more

These guys were FANTASTIC! We did our move in two parts to accommodate the huge amount of stuff we moved and our timelines buying our new and then selling our old house. Both moves were so smooth. Scheduling was easy, the guys showed up on time and were total professionals on both days. Fast, careful, friendly, smiling and making a frazzled woman feel totally as ease. I've never met guys who worked so hard. After a super long moving day (12 hours - we totally underestimated how much there was to move!) these guys were still joking with us as they put our furniture back together - we were sure they'd leave us to do it.
