We recently moved and used JC Express. JC's workers were amazing! Besides us buying some pizza's for them for lunch, they worked NON-STOP for about 10 hours! Each and everyone worked their tails off and always with a smile. Very helpful packing the larger items and loaded nicely in our storage spaces. 6 months later we used them to move us into our home. They were just as good and efficient, gladly moving things to another room if we told them the wrong room first. I don't know how JC instills this work ethic in his guys...he has a knack! Another move and of course, I used JC Express again! This move was more complicated as it involved 2 days at 4 locations. But, I didn't fret because I was confident they would expertly get the job done, which they did. Arturo was the lead on both days and he was amazing! All the gentlemen worked hard, were very professional and so kind to my 83 year old mom. It was especially a hard move for her, but they were respectful of her belongings and made sure her furniture was placed exactly how she wanted it. Smoothest moving experience I've had! Boris and team did an amazing job! They did not waste any time. They started moving within 5 minutes. Everyone was polite and professional and had smiles on their faces. They rolled out the red carpet and padded all corners stair railings. No damage to any of our furniture or in our home. It took all 5 guys to move our 500 lb. safe up the stairs. Intake process with owner JC was pleasant from the beginning He takes a lot of pride in his company and his team which he considers his family. This review is a bit delayed. I found JC Express Movers via yelp. It was hard for me to commit to movers because I have heard many different horror stories but two reasons why I picked JC Movers - 1) they were the only ones to pick up the phone when I first started calling around (the rest you had to leave a message, wait for a call back for a quote) and 2) all the reviews were great so it helped me make the decision to go with them. I talked to JC the owner and he made the process so easy and answered all my questions. I called the week before our move and he made sure to fit us in their weekend schedule. I had to call him a few more times and he was very responsive. He asked a few questions to get a full picture of our move and was upfront on the additional costs involved wrapping the tv was $25 and $25 to fuel. He was clear that there were no other hidden costs. The movers who came were Juan and Gustavo. They showed up on time and they worked SO FAST. They were very efficient and you could clearly see that they were trying to move us out and move us in as quickly as possible, all while being very careful. One of them even found some jewelry on the floor that he made sure he gave to me. What was even more amazing to see? One of them carried our cal king mattress SOLO. SOLO. This is a great company and I will be referring them to anyone that wants a great moving experience. I for sure will use them in the future. 2 guys came to move my stuff the end of May 2016. Unfortunately, I can't remember their names. They were on time, fast and reasonable in price. I would have given them one more star except for this: Some of you may not think this is a big deal, but it is to me. My brother passed away 6 years ago. He gave me a brand new set of pajama's that were the very last gift he ever gave me. I never had any intention of ever wearing them, or anyone else ever touching them, as they were of high sentimental value. The way they were packaged was with a thick plastic band around the middle of them and anyone could see that they were brand new. I had put them on one of my couches along with a lot of things that I was going to move myself and I told the guys to leave whatever was on the couch alone, that I was going to move all of it myself. After everything was moved, I was looking for these and couldn't find them anywhere. I called the movers, explained the situation, was told he would call one of the guys and would have him call me. I got a call back from one of the movers, described the clothing to him, he said that he found a sweat suit sort of thing and wrapped it around the plate in my microwave, he said he had looked for a towel or something and found these. I explained it was on the couch with the things I told them not to move, it was brand new and that he should have asked me before using it. He apologized, didn't realize they were brand new. I don't get how you can't see they were new as they were not out of the packaging and he had to remove the packaging to use it. It was rude of him to not ask before assuming it was ok to use it. The plate in the microwave was greasy and the grease got on the pajama's, that's not ok, because now they are no longer new and untouched by someone else, which is how I wanted them to be. First time using movers ever, I used JC Express movers from Walnut Creek. We moved on Oct 28, 2016, it was friday and raining from San leandro to San mateo. We were greeted by Zenon and Raul courteously and started right on. It took them 2 hrs to disassemble and load all our stuffs into the truck. We were coming from a 2BR 2 storey condo/townhouse into a 2nd floor 1 BR apartment. We have more stuffs for a 1 BR place but these 2 made it easier and smoother for both of us. Despite being emotional relocating and leaving our home, we wont have been able to do things by ourselves without using movers. It was so worth it. We shopped and called so many companies but chose JC express movers out of all. We had the most pleasant experience starting from the owner JC whom we talked to over the phone, he was on point on how many workers do we need and took time explaining the travel time fee and other fees such as fuel surcharge. Zenon and raul were very fast and efficient, did the job for 6 hrs from start to finish including travel time. We gave them good tip bec they so deserve it plus there were no scratches or damage done on any furniture. This is an amazing company!!!!! The two guys who came to move my big furniture were on time, extremely professional, and worked very very hard!!!! There wasn't ever a moment when I thought they were not doing the very best they could do to get the job done quickly!!! They wrapped all pieces with tight wrap to avoid damage, laid rubber padding on floors, and used protective padding on all areas that might accidentally get damaged. This company moved me about three weeks ago. My movers were Juan and Antonio (I think). They were terrific. This was the best moving experience I have ever had. On time, clean, professional, polite, helpful and the list goes on. The day after my move I thought a box was missing. Both the owner and the driver called me, searched the truck and said they did not have my box of dishes. I believed them but could not find the box. A couple of days later I found the box which was mislabeled by me or a friend. I emailed JC to let him know. He could have been rude or grouchy but he remained very pleasant and simply said he was glad I had found it. Moving is very stressful. With this company you can stress a little less. read more

We were not making a long move, but did not want to handle the large heavy furniture ourselves. JC came out and gave us a quote. He was great. I loved how he suggested that they bring a second 14' truck to carry all our potted plants and outdoor furniture. We had to change our moving date and JC was very accommodating. They walked through the house to go over what they were taking and than noted the time that they were starting. Had Julio, Raol, Juan and Rodrigo helped my family move this weekend. They did an amazing job with a same day pack and move and got us to our new home well before sundown. The crew delivered all my furniture with no dents, scratches or damage and did so very efficiently. They helped us load up an apartment move Uhaul for our sons college set up, completely packed up and moved a large amount of heavy items from my home, and even helped my husband set up items moving over from his rental home out of state as he had moved out earlier to start a new job. It was chaos for a month and after the dust settled we could not believe the huge amount of work JC and his crew performed efficiently, without fuss, and zero damage or stress. I was very impressed with their professional manner, and expert knowledge of whatever they did. Always respectful also of my wishes. They took things apart at the old house and put them back together at destination. I have a lot of very heavy furniture and they handled it expertly. When we reached the destination house, they placed everything precisely as requested. I could continue writing a really long story but the main point is that I would highly recommend them for everyone. In addition to the physical moving team, I was put at ease during my first call to their business with the friendliness of the office worker, Jessica; she was informative and supportive of the stress that a move has on people. She offered basic quotes as well as add ons that were options for a move. This moving team was prompt, courteous and professional. We walked through the house room by room to discuss what was going where; they were efficient, they did not leave a mess and were often stealth in their efforts because I was often unaware that they'd already completed a room. They were happy to disassemble our beds and other furniture, then skillfully reassembled everything once we arrived at the new house. Edwin and Beto were our movers. They were fantastic. They were on time, and moved quickly and efficiently, carefully wrapping up furniture and fragile items and never hitting the walls on the way out or in. They put down some rubber matting to protect the floors before starting, and checked around the apartment to see what there was to move. When we got to the new apartment, they checked around inside and made sure to ask if items should go into specific spots. They even reminded me that the dressers should go into the bedroom when I forgot to mention it. Edwin and Beto conscientiously examined furniture and checked with us when there were existing marks to make sure that we were all clear on what damage was preexisting. I really appreciated this way to avoid potential conflict and keep everything above board. When our couch needed to be further taken apart to fit into the stairwell, they quickly took the necessary pieces off, kept track of all the screws, and put the couch back together at the new apartment. Edwin and Beto were professional, friendly, and courteous. Even though we just told them to put most of the furniture "wherever," they placed items around the rooms in spots we ended up considering as final resting places. I was in need of hiring some movers in a hurry. I called or filled out online forms for all the movers listed in the Better Business Bureau for my area. All the companies emailed or called me back, but JC Express was the only one whose owner personally called me back. He seemed very sincere and trustworthy, had one of the lowest quotes, and stated that he had been in the business for many years, but had recently formed his own company and would appreciate my business. Most importantly, he stated right away that he was available. None of the other companies told me that they were. They all wanted me to call them back. I just did not have the time. However, this made me slightly nervous. Why was he the only one available, despite his lower rate? I decided to hire him anyway. And I am so glad I did! They were on time (slightly early), professional, courteous, careful with my things, fast, efficient, knowledgeable, and just plain nice. They totally lived up to my first impression on the phone.
