First time here.... And I will be back. Jeanne took my sister and I in when we called at 6:15pm... And her hours end at 7pm. It's been my experience that most nail salons won't even take you in the hour before they close. She gracefully asked us to.come in at 7 so she could finish with her clients before we came in. Jeanne and her other technician spent a whopping 2 hours on us, making sure our nails turned out perfect. The best part was she got my stiletto nails perfect. I love them!! Jeanne and her crew are strictly 1st class! Extremely clean and meticulous job. I've had a few services here and they have been really great. Usually with other manicures you get hangnails and short, raggy skin but my manicure looked perfect for over 7 days! I had to change the polish so it may have lasted longer. Love love love! Jeanne is the best! Never going anywhere else for my nails anymore lol! She makes sure everyone is taken care of and happy. One time I did my nails and had to get them re-done, and it was no extra charge. That's how I know Jeanne really cares about every one of her clients. She's super friendly, funny but professional at the same time, and makes sure you don't leave unhappy. So I've been helping her shop out by telling my friends about it so they can try it out as well. The shop itself is very nice and clean inside, and has a calming & relaxing feel to it. It's not crowded and loud like most salons. I moved to the Bay Area a year ago and since then I hadn't really found a good spot to get my nails done. My birthday was coming up and with plans to head to Vegas with friends, I wanted to have nails that matched my weekend plans, something that stood out with a simple sophistication. I read the reviews of several places and finally decided to take a chance on Jeanne's, and let's just say I hit the jackpot! I made an appointment for a friend and I to get mani pedis, I did the Gel manicure and pedicure she did the standard of both. When we arrived I was happy to find a clean, relaxing environment. We were told to pick our colors and then the ladies got to work. Jeanne began my friends pedicure and another lady began work on me. I began showing them photos of the design I wanted and we discussed the challenges that the design I wanted the most, black with red french tips, posed. Realizing my heart was set on the design the ladies made it happen. It was a bit more as you can't just tip black nails like you would other colors, you instead have to remove the polish and add back in the new color, otherwise the color won't match - this combined with the extra gel steps...and...well..in the end my nails looked fabulous! I can't find the card where I wrote the name of the woman who primarily did my nails (I am headed back in tomorrow for a regular manicure so I will update with her name then); but I would go back to her in a heart beat! She was very meticulous and did an excellent job. When I opted for add on services, like callous removal - she told me the added cost. I had recently had a few nails break and she managed to file them to keep the length but still make them relatively even with each other. She also did a great job of ensuring polish coverage (I am a stickler for the polish reaching the nail bed edges, who wants to start out out with a "growth ring" before your manicure is even completed. And when my appointment was completed I found myself smiling and feeling like the my money had been well spent. My friend also opted to tack on an eyebrows wax and she looked great and plans to go back when next her brows need attention. So what it boils done to....I like to keep my fingers and toes looking good - but when I have all the supplies at home I have a hard time justifying paying someone for the service, except for special occasions...at $10 for a standard manicure, $20 for gel, and $20 for a pedicure....well Jeanne's provides a quality and level of service that makes it actually feel like I am saving! Add to that the clean, relaxing environment, and you can't loose. I also really liked that you could add the tip onto your card! I always hate having to stop by a bank just so I can tip for salon services, as I rarely carry cash...so for me this was a major win! One thing I would note, Jeanne's is a small business that is beginning to boom. While I was there at least 3-4 people came in to either make appointments or get information about making an appointment, and the phone was ringing quite a bit. Being a small business, they don't have a separate receptionist (I would say yet, cause if they continue to grow I don't think it will be long before they have to have one), so sometimes Jeanne's would have to pause in my friends manicure or pedicure to answer the phone or help someone who walked in with a question. This didn't bother us, but I would suggest that you call ahead for an appointment and I would say don't sit down in the chair if you are in a rush (personally when I get manicure or pedicure I expect it to take an hour to an hour and half; but if you are looking for a 15-30 minute in and out...this may not be the place for you). read more

I've been looking for a nail place that does colored acrylic and found Jeanne's Nail Spa on yelp. I booked an appointment with Jeanne and she was able to accommodate me with only one day of notice. On the day of my appointment, I happened to run into my garage door with my car - I called to cancel minutes before the appointment and Jeanne was SUPER nice about it. She even offered to book me for first thing in the morning the following day. Appointment time came and I was the first client of the day. Jeanne was very nice and was able to recreate my wave design from Pinterest in acrylic!! I was super happy with everything from personality to quality of work. She made sure I was satisfied with every aspect of my new set of nails. I waited to write this review because I was skeptical about whether the great service was just chance. Today I am brining my daughter in and she was able to seat us right away for pedicures as she stated on the phone. Often times, I call a nail place for an appointment and they say, "Sure! Come now." - then I arrive and have to wait another 30 minutes. Here, she actually was ready for me when I came! Everyone was just as nice as the first time. Also, my full set I had gotten before lasted over 3 weeks before lifting! I work in a place where I wash my hands at least 10 times a day and they held up very well!! I think I have found my go to nail place. Note: Massages and length may not be as long as other nail places nearby, but their attention to detail is amazing as far as cuticles, polish, and acrylic go! Will definitely be back! Today was my first time here and I had an excellent experience! I called ahead of time around 4:30pm to see if they could fit me in for a mani/pedi as soon as possible due to obligations at 6. They were more than flexible and had my nails looking great and I was out of the door by 5:30! The store itself was small, but cozy and well-maintained. This post is about 5 years overdue. I've been a regular her since then! Jeanne and her technicians are awesome. What really lead me to make a review of this place though was my daughter. She recently turned 4 and asked to get her nails done "like mommy". I couldn't think of a better place! For $10, they made my little girl the happiest over ever seen her! They even accommodated a last minute add on which was great. I do have to say though- this place is on the smaller side so make sure to call ahead and get an appointment. They are also cash only- the reason is that the credit card companies were raising their rates and she didn't want to transfer the extra fees to her customers. How cool is that? read more

Let me preface this by saying I'm not one to write Yelp reviews and publicly complain, but I feel like I have to share my horrible customer service experience from my first time visit... I get dip every few weeks at a different salon and I've never had a single issue. Here, I told them my cuticles were burning when they first started drilling off my old dip (sidenote: drills should NEVER be used on cuticles where it hits skin... any properly trained hygienic manicurist knows that). They didn't take it seriously and laughed. Next thing you know my cuticles on the majority of my fingers were cut and bleeding a lot. I told them this wasn't normal and I've never experienced that with any manicure. Still didn't care. The woman doing my nails didn't stop the bleeding and even dipped my bleeding fingers INTO 2 different dip powder containers numerous times, which isn't hygienic at all for the next person OR me. I'm really hoping I don't get an infection. The owner told the woman doing my nails she would "fix" for me. She finished the dip process and then applied neosporin to my cuticles and told me I'd need to keep applying (meaning I'd need to go buy some). I continued to tell her they were still bleeding and burning. At this point, everyone who had come in after me had already been finished and I was going on well over 2 HOURS (!!!) for a dip manicure. I went to leave and Jeanne told me $40 (what I was quoted on the phone). Zero discount for the fact the majority of the skin around every nail was cut and bleeding and my nail beds all burned. Zero discount for the fact it took over double the amount of time. I spoke up and said that wasn't right and terrible customer service. Jeanne argued back and forth with me in front of customers and insisted her applying neosporin was a discount. SERIOUSLY. She then said they worked longer on me since she had to fix my nails so they deserved to be paid full price. In what world is that logical?!?! Unbelievable. She ended up rudely asking me what I thought I should have to pay. I just wanted to get out of there so I said half off, but the reality is I shouldn't have had to pay ANYTHING. Hours later and my cuticles and the skin on the side of my nails keeps bleeding and burns really bad... yet I had to PAY for that. I will never come back here and this visit made me thankful for my go-to nail salon I frequent, which would never ever treat me this way. read more

This is the worst nail polish experience I have ever had. Worst service and very limited style choice... First of all, the service is terrible. My friend made an appointment and they mixed it with someone else's. After we pointed out, they did not give any apologize. We asked the difference between power and gel (they begin serve power without even asking us), they pretended not understand what we were talking about and even laughed at us....turns out they totally understand and they don't wanna serve gel since power ones are more expensive... Secondly, they only serve solid color with no style choice. The girl who served me is not professional at all. She keeps playing her phone and stops in between with no excuse. They do take walk ins, but they did have to wait. It seemed that most other customers came for gel. They didn't have heating for drying nails, but instead used a mini fan. They only take over $20 for card use. I had a gift certificate and didn't think to bring much cash for tip. It has a pretty full parking lot. read more

UPDATE- I have now been coming to Jeanne's consistently for about 2 years, and I would not go anywhere else. The ladies always do a great job and is very easy to make a reservation. I went here for my first time this weekend, and had a great experience. I got a gel manicure and French pedicure, and both ladies did an amazing job and took great care to do them well! The price was amazing too- $51 for both. The only reason I leave a 4 star is that the salon is pretty small so without a reservation there is most likely always going to be a wait. But I am glad to have found a good nail salon in milpitas :) read more

Recently the normal place that I go to get my nails done has always been super packed and although the service was good, it always seemed really rushed. Today I decided to give Jeanne's Nail Spa a try and I am one satisfied customer! The lady who did my pedicure (shame on me, I already forgot her name) did a really thorough job and although she dug a little deep on my big toe, she was nice and really patient while I tried to think of a color that I wanted. She spent a decent amount of time scrubbing and massaging which I really appreciated. Some places rush through this which a bit annoying, but she didn't. Susan did my manicure and she was very meticulous and thorough with her work too. She didn't rush and although not very talkative, she was still kind and gentle. I have really thin nails so I told her before we began and she was cautious and made sure that I was comfortable. I will definitely see Susan again. I also met Jeanne the owner and she was bubbly and talkative. I was a bit embarrassed because I had to give them their tip money in quarters (long story short, the liquor store lady refused to give me dollar bills) and I'm sure she said something to her staff. Regardless she was perfectly fine taking my quarters and said, "Money is money." Overall, the experience was very pleasant and since I went on a Tuesday I think it was less busy so they were able to spend more time perfecting my nails. DISAPPOINTED!!!! Don't waste your money... I'm not the one to write bad reviews. But I couldn't stop myself from writing this one. Having spent a good amount on a gel manicure and a deluxe pedicure this place is a total rip off. The gel manicure was not the color I selected, then to make it worse the nails have brush strokes and is uneven. I selected the deluxe pedicure for the extra massage but it was not worth it as the massage was not worth the extra $$. The color on my toes and hands didn't match and the worst part was the nail paint on my feet chipped in less than 5 hours. At the time of payment she informed me that the card machine was not working, they didn't have any sign saying that and it's not everyday that you carry $$ In all the experience was not worth the money and also it was very difficult to communicate with the staff. I understand businesses are trying really hard in Covid but we are also spending our hard earned money so would want the worth of it. Highly disappointed!!! read more

I've been here twice within a few days! I found this place on yelp and came in for a mani/pedi. They were busy but was able to get me in within the hour. I loved the work! I came back two days later for eyelash extension because I noticed it on their service menu. I made an appointment and got it done by Tram. She was really sweet and did an excellent job! The price is definitely unbeatable and the work is amazing! I've gotten this done many times before at different places but Tram might be the best one. The lashes she used and how she put it on feels light and comfortable. I was so comfortable with it that I forgot I had it on and rubbed my eye accidentally. I will be back for a refill!! All I can say is that They've lost their touch. They are not as accommodating and friendly. I don't like how they do my nails anymore. They charge for every little thing. The previous ladies that used to work there removes gel manicure manually and took their time. Now they used machine and They shaved my nails so thin, I hate it. After reading a few reviews on yelp I decided to come give this nail salon a try. I made an appointment for 5:30pm (same day) and was greeted by the owner who was busy with another customer. I was given a tray with samples of the different gel nail polish colors they had and was told to pick something while I waited. About 20 minutes later one of the nail technicians helped me (I think her name is Jody). I asked her if she could draw a flower on one of my nails and showed her what colors I wanted. I think she did a fantastic job!! The overall atmosphere here is very quiet which is not what I'm used to at other salons, but it's because they are very focused on their work. Jody did accidentally cut me while working on my cuticles and I bled a little bit she quickly apologized and put on some sort of antiseptic liquid on a cotton ball until it stopped. I didn't even feel that she cut me though so it didn't bother me much. There was one customer who came in after me at 6:30pm who also had to wait about 20 minutes until she was helped which is a bit odd to me but maybe that's just how they work here. The nail quality was pretty good. I got my 14 yo daughters nails done and they pulled a "bait n switch" on her. They said it was $30 but when I gave my daughter my credit card to pay they charged me $35. This not what they said it would cost. We didn't ask for anything special and they quoted us for exactly what we got. Basically they ripped us off. I didn't realize until later what they had done. We paid them a tip twice essentially because of the rip off. The other main issue was that the shop is small and uncomfortable with a super small seating area for only 3 people. The manicurist was cold and un-engaged. Not a good experience for a girls first time getting her nails done. We won't be going back. Good luck future customers. read more

I gave Jeanne's another chance, and I'm sold! Tina did my gel manicure today and I'm totally in love with my nails. Tina took her time to perfectly shape/file/buff my nails. I liked that she was gentle. She was very friendly and took interest in my life without prying. She was suuuuper patient with me when I had a hard time deciding on a color. I normally can't commit to the same color for more than a week, so we'll see how I do with this gel stuff. I am so happy to say I've found my new go-to nail salon. Jeanne is a sweetheart and i loved that she remembered me even though I had only been in her salon once before. P.S. I'm not sure if it's special grand opening pricing or the normal price, but the gel mani was only $20. I'm quite sure that is an awesome deal. :) read more

I called the salon Friday morning and tried to squeeze an appointment that afternoon. The lady answered my call was very polite, therefore I would like to give it a try! The nail salon looked very professional and clean. I did deluxe pedicure and manicure + 2 nail designs. Lisa was the girl who took my appointment. She was very nice and very detail. I always have issues with in-grown nail and cuticle on my toes. She cleaned it in very gentle way and relief my painful toes. I asked her to do some designs on my nails by showing her pictures, and she did a great job!! She told me that I can bring some pictures of nail designs next time. Another poor customer service salon. I'm going to Sassy Nails from know on. They know not to insult their customers and they provide beverages. I've been going to Jeanne's Salon for a year now. Their skills are very good, but the shit and ignorant comments they say to you is so insulting. Last New Years, I had my nails done and willingly paid them extra to add art to it. Jeanne whined and complained, "Why do you always demand art?" Guess she didn't want to and said as much. This year, I went three times and started to show that I'm pregnant. Jeanne is also pregnant. Of the three times I went there because I like the convenience and how well they do my nails, Jeanne and her workers made me feel like a freak. Jeanne and her minions kept saying things like: "you SOOOOO big!" Or "look at Jeanne. She's not that not THAT large" Or "When are you due? 6 months from now? Looks like you going to have baby now!" AND each comment comes with a looked at me like I'm abnormally large. I'd look pissed off then the country bumpkins would backpedal and give REASONS as to why they need to insult me. I used to go to this nail spot pretty frequently to get gel manicures. The service was pretty good and they were very friendly. The manicures were nice and clean but after coming here a few times my nails started to break. My nail would break halfway into my nail bed for no reason. The first 2 times it happened I brushed it off even I've been getting gel manicures for years and never had this issue. Then it happened 2 more times and I knew I had to find a new spot. Worst nail shop I've ever been too. She over books her appointments, scheduling more than 3 people for the same time. She'll have someone else start you then never comes back to finish the job. Charged me for half finished nails (I left because I was pissed she made me wait 45 minutes to be seated after my appointment time) and told me to come back the next day at whatever time I wanted. I called to make sure I could still come in when I wanted and she rescheduled me again for the next day because she had overbooked again. Went in to try to get my money back and she started arguing with me and not wanting to pay me back for the horrible unfinished job that she did.
