First time eating at Jeff's. We ordered the Chicken BBQ and Pork Adobo meals from their online ordering system. When I went to pick up the order, the food wasn't ready and I had to wait an additional 10 minutes (on top of an already 30 minute wait). Food portions were large and 1 plate is enough for 2 people. Chicken BBQ: Excellent chicken. The sauce was very flavorful and the chicken was cooked to perfection. It also comes with a choice of fried or white rice. We got the fried rice and really liked it. Also comes with pancit which was a huge winner for us!! Pork Adobo: Not a fan AT ALL! I'm not sure if they over did it on the marinade, but their pork adobo tasted very vinegar-y. The aftertaste was no good and we ended up just tossing this plate out. Lumpia: Chicken and pork. We preferred the chicken over the pork. I like how they came with our meals. A little on the slow side, but the staff was friendly. I'd recommend them only for their bbq chicken. read more

Well let me start by saying I am so extremely happy that we have Filipino food here .I lived in Southern California where you can get it everywhere and absolutely love it, so when they opened up here I was extatTic!! I got three different meals and lumpia (extra ) 17 pieces for 5.99 well thats a steal , the meals come with some but these are our fav. I have zero complaints. Everything was so delicious. Visiting Merced, Ca and craving for Filipino food. Trusting Yelp for good suggestions and we came across Jeff's Cuisine in Altwater, Ca. Dined in today, 4/1/23 and man, wish we lived closer bc this place was awesome! We ordered the chicken bbq meal, pork bbq meal, chicken adobo meal, spaghetti and lumpia (egg rolls) . Everything tasted authentic and delicious. We enjoyed the flavors of the bbq's. The pancit was also really good. Loved the spaghetti and the egg rolls were crispy and addicting. They were the right size and you get 17 pieces for $5.99! Also, the prices were so affordable. For $7.99, you get a whole meal with chicken bbq, rice, pancit (noodles), and 5 pcs of lumpia (egg rolls). This is such a great deal for all the food you get. I barely could finish my meal. The service was also very good. Everyone was friendly and offered that Filipino hospitality. Which is amazing. The place was big, clean and well taken care of. They had plenty tables for those who want to dine in. The place was spacious and well kept. They don't have a huge selection but for the items they offer, your Filipino food cravings will be more than satisfied. I also overheard someone buying frozen egg rolls which is great bc if you can fry your own egg rolls whenever you want. They are located in a big plaza with plenty of parking. Check Yelp for hours. First time ever visiting this establishment, but after reading about it and hearing many good things regarding Jeff's I decided to take the short drive from Merced to pick up dinner this evening. First off, it was very nice to see that I could place my order directly from the website and was given an extremely accurate time in which it would be prepared and ready for pickup. They were literally on point with the time I was given!! I ordered 2 different dinners (one was actually considered a small plate)... Filipino Spaghetti and BBQ Chicken meal. First off... this was enough food to feed a family of 4, but definitely didn't sacrifice in quality as it was hot, fresh, and delicious. The Filipino Spaghetti was delicious... perfectly cooked noodles with a semi sweet red sauce. Simple but delicious. I would rate it a 5/5... Secondly the BBQ Chicken which is Jeff's staple dish, was all that I have read about... perfectly cooked, tender chicken with a delicious, sweet teriyaki sauce drizzle. Accompanied with the chicken was perfectly cooked veggies, fried rice, and lumpia... all fresh and all delicious. 5/5... I'm honestly a difficult person when it comes to ratings and I tried to think of a reason to knock down anything a point but just couldn't do it... nothing failed and nothing was less than perfectly cooked and delicious. Food was delicious... hot... fresh... and price point couldn't have been better for what I received. I will be back, soon. Probably much more often than my pant size will allow. Some of the best food I've had in town! Ordering online from their website was super easy. I received a confirmation with an estimated time when my order would be ready. When I arrived I did have to wait about 20 minutes longer than expected and was told they had run out of certain items. The young lady that was the cashier was super nice and apologized for the wait as did the cook in the kitchen. I didn't mind waiting as I prefer having fresh food made to order rather than something that's been sitting there. The wait was well worth it and all of the food was delicious. The pork and chicken had an excellent grilled flavor and the lumpia were super hot and crispy. The portions are huge for about $8 you get a big meal. I did get extra chicken, my girlfriend were only able to finish one order and had leftovers for the next day. Thank the gods for having a Filipino restaurant that's not an hour away from Merced. Forget about driving to Fresno or Stockton for Filipino food. The owner Jeff is a mastermind for opening up this place in Atwater. Business will be booming. Now to to the restaurant. Yes they are open from 4-7pm but I'm not complaining. The food was GREAT. The portions were GREAT. Nice small little place. This isn't one of your restaurants that precooks everything and has a heat lamp. You need to have the patience and desire to eat freshly made food. There's been comments and there will be more after mine that give this place a low rating because of the wait. Here's a tip... just be patient. This isn't McDonald's where they give you you're food in a minute. For the people who've said the food has no flavor, when did you burn your palette? Really, no flavor? You obviously don't go out as much. Enough of that. The food is great. I was instilled with respect and patience and had no problem waiting the 37 minutes I waited. I expected that because that's the perk of having a restaurant cooking it and giving it to you fresh off the grill. To the lady who was 2 orders ahead of me and lost her patience just 20 minutes after ordering, never go out to fine dining or authentic places... you'll be upset. Lastly, to the employees. Keep up the GREAT work. I appreciate the friendly environment and even better when they thank you for your patience. They get it, it's a bit of a wait, but it comes with the territory. The owner, Jeff, personally came out of the kitchen to greet everyone and ask how long they've been waiting. Once he heard some people were waiting for around 40 minutes or longer, he personally told his cooks to get those out. To the cashier Ken, he's the true definition of customer service. Friendly attitude and genuinely wants to get to know the customers. Ladies watch out, Ken might steal your heart since he's, how do you say it? Gwapo? The food is WORTH the wait. Please support this business. Their food is really good and adds some much needed diversity in the region. Also, it's cheap yet still high quality. I've tried everything in their menu and all their items are delicious. Their fried rice is super garlicky, and the pork BBQ is on another level. The chicken and the pork adobo are nice and saucy, the lumpia are solid (17 finger sized for 6 bucks), and the pancit hits the spot every time. I'm not a spaghetti person but all my friends who tried it had good things to say. Check out their specials as well, and bring cash as there is a small card use fee. The folks who run the business are very sweet and accommodating. There are a few tables if you want to dine in until 6:30pm, though most customers get take out.
