Heard about this place from our neighbor and decided to give it a try this morning. I opted for the house bloody Mary with a salad, the salad is snacks fyi. Def is one of the best bloodys I have found in Denver. For food my man and I split the breakfast burrito Christmas style and shared a bacon pancake. The burrito is perfection. Fluffy scrambled eggs, perfectly seasoned sausage, and the chilli sauce is amazeballs. Unfortunately the only downside of our experience was the table right behind us...no one cares whose instafamous, you sound like youre 17. FIRST OFF, the BREAKFAST BURRITO!! It was soo soo bomb!!!! Like my mouth was too happy eating that burrito!! That burrito alone earned this place the 4 stars lol!! okay onto the pancakes, we also tried the lavender blueberry and cinnamon pancakes which were both delicious and different :) so definitely try their pancakes as well Service was very nice and helpful, and the music they played were awesome r&b music. I've been so excited to try this place out! It's only a few steps from my house and I've heard some really great things about it. The only problem...was that I was quoted a 30 minute wait time, only to get a text notification nearly 2 hours later that our table was ready. I know these things can be really difficult to gage, especially when it's a Sunday brunch and you've got folks more than likely just hanging out at tables. But like - y'all gotta be careful - it was me and a few hangry girls. You know how we get when we're in gangs and denied our Eggs Benedict. Luckily we got a table down the road quite a bit faster. Cap Trill wouldn't want us to be terrorizing 13th, coffee and mimosa-less, with visions of your donut bites dancing through our (slightly hungover) heads for very long. Came for breakfast and was greeted kindly by the histess/server. Ordered 8 donut bites (one of each flavor) salmon benedict, ultimate biscuits and gravy, and the molly hot brown. Donut bites seemed to be day-old donut holes and were very lightly topped; not smothered like the pictures online showed, i wish id taken a picture. Molly hot brown was delicious and fresh. Biscuits and gravy were pretty good, but the bottoms of the biscuits were hard as a rock. The salmon benedict was a little off, potatoes were apparently reheated. Ive had much worse, and id probably come back again but i wouldnt order the donuts and id stick to the molly hot brown. read more

I walked in on a busy Friday afternoon and ordered food to take home, it was ready fast! I liked that they let me build my own scramble order which was absolutely delicious. The best thing about this place isn't really the food, but the vibes and environment. It's a chill spot to grab a casual brunch, admire all the retro cereal boxes with our favorite pop culture characters, and just hang out. Service is awesome. Came here on a Saturday morning for breakfast, waited about 10 minutes before we were seated. The entire experience was excellent - from the service, to the donut holes, to the coffee, to our breakfast. The atmosphere is unique and fun, very enjoyable. Our server was very kind and attentive, and the vibe is energetic and happy. The donuts are just amazing - so deliciously warm and yummy. Pretty good experience today going for the first time to Jelly (COVID restrictions in effect). Got there and realized that we should have used YELP to be added to the waitlist prior to showing up. Once we got our table, we were required to order at the bar and by the time we sat down, the food was almost coming out. Super fast. Based on the complex menu, some of the food items are pre-cooked and assembled. All our meals could have been warmer then they were. The GF donut holes (we had one of each of the 8), were good, come from the same base donut and topped with the flavor you order. Kinda pricey donut holes- May not get again. The Bellini was very nice. The patio was also nice. Will be back. read more

I would not recommend this restaurant for a large group. I went there with a group of 7 on Sunday, obviously expected to wait no matter what given the Sunday brunch scene and a big group, however, we waited for an hour and 40 minutes. They won't move tables around so unfortunately, there's only a few made for larger groups even though they could have rearranged and sat us much sooner. Aside from the wait, everything else was great! Staff was friendly and the place had a good vibe. Food was delicious, I highly recommend giving the Maple Bacon donuts a try. They had a wide variety and very unique food that you wouldn't usually see. I would return to this restaurant, but never with a group bigger than 4. read more

My wife and I came to Jelly Cafe a couple of years ago and really liked it, so when planning our second trip to Denver we wanted to bring our friends to this breakfast spot. We ordered a Benedict, a pancake, some donuts and a biscuits and gravy dish. Out of everything the donuts were our favorite. The Benedict was on top of a small hash, and the home fries were a little too soggy for our liking. The biscuits and gravy was probably our least favorite. It was supposed to be spicy but wasn't that spicy. We really loved the donut holes and I enjoyed the pancakes a lot. We tried four different flavors- Mexican chocolate, jelly, creme Anglais, and maple bacon- and we enjoyed all of them. Maybe it was an off day for the savory dishes cause we really liked it the first time around but this day it was just okay. read more

This place is really popular with the locals, but honestly not worth the stop in my opinion. I ordered the salmon eggs Benedict, which was okay, but not amazing. We ordered regular coffee, not noticing they had a full espresso bar, and it was so bad, we almost asked for a fresh pot. The coffee was burned and stale, but still warm. Also, the staff wasn't very friendly. They seemed "too cool to be there" and just really disinterested overall. The mini donuts weren't bad. A friend ordered the maple ones and they were good, so definitely order those. If you plan on drinking, you better not have a vertical ID, because they won't take it. Being from out of state, this put a poor taste in my mouth from the beginning. From that alone, I decided to not go back. I was so excited to try Jelly for the first time but unfortunately, it was a mediocre experience at best. Half of the table arrived (us being the only table inside and a few outside) and we waited a while for waters. Our full table arrived and we waited 10ish mins and still no acknowledgement or offered any drinks. The waiters were conversing at the drink station, I asked them if we can have some drinks.. his reply was "yeah, just look over the menu and we will be with you". And they proceeded to finish their convo and then went to the back of the house. Our party left and won't be returning. The waiter appeared annoyed that I "flagged" him down when asked to have coffee. I work in hospitality and that was uncalled for. Do better, Jelly. read more

Get yourself an order of donuts. (Note: I didn't say 'share' an order of donuts. I said get one for yourself) We went to Jelly on a Sunday afternoon at noon. We were quoted a 30-45 minute wait for a two-top, but only had to wait about 20 minutes. Just enough time to grab a mimosa at the bar and enjoy it outside in the little patio area. We got an order of 4 donuts (made the mistake of sharing. ugh) and they were DELICIOUS. I was a little confused when they came out and I realized they weren't filled, they just had the flavor as a topping, but they were still delicious. Mexican Chocolate and Salted Caramel are both a must. For brunch, I had the Sweet Potato Hash with poached eggs. The chorizo had a great flavor and wasn't greasy at all. For being such a starch heavy meal, it actually was nice and light ... until I swapped out my toast for a homemade biscuit. But oh man, the biscuits are all kind of worth it. They reminded me of the Bisquick biscuits my mom use to make. Dense, floury and golden brown on the outside. My only constructive criticism is that they could really use 2 hosts. It seemed like the host was juggling seating people, taking names, clearing tables, getting water, making more coffee. It all aded up to a 10 minute wait to actually put our name on the list once we got to the front of the line. read more

Love this place! I only come here during the week, because otherwise you will be waiting a good hour to get seated, it's a popular place to say the least. M-Th they have bottomless mimosas, score! The past two times Ive eaten there with my boyfriend, we have had the pleasure of Katie being our waitress. She is always so cheery and attentive. Short version: the food wasn't worth the wait, price, or rudeness we endured. Long version: Wife & I went here hoping for a quick, reasonably tasty to-go order. Boy, were we disappointed and dissatisfied. Service was slow, as the barista had her hands full. My wife finally had to stop her after eight "I'll be with you in a minute" responses & a 20 minute wait We placed our order and had it fulfilled quickishly after that. Cool, right? Nope. She noted the delay on the receipt & the manager noticed. Well, he evidently didn't care for this and became flippant with my wife. I understand nerves, but yelling at a customer isn't going to fly. 3.5 stars We went here for brunch on a Sunday, and had joined the waitlist before we left the house in the hopes it would reduce our wait time. We arrived at 10 to check in, and the system was down so we were added to the paper list. Later, we noticed that others were receiving texts, so perhaps the system came back on but we weren't notified. After about 30 minutes, we were taken back to our table. We had spent our wait perusing the specials board, and one of our party immediately orders the PBJ coffee, but our server looks confused, saying he hasn't heard of this. He runs to the bar, and says they're out. So we all order regular coffees, and go forth with orders - some donut bites to start, veggie Benedict with a side of bacon for me, a Pueblo scramble, and an Avocado toast. The donut bites are EXCELLENT and would be a full 5 stars if I was just reviewing them. Hot, flavorful, excellent little brunch appetizers. My veggie Benedict was good - the bread could've been toasted more to withstand the liquid, but the flavors meshed well and the rustic potatoes were delightful. I also devoured the bacon. The rest of my group reported their dishes were delightful - the breakfast side salad and passion fruit jam with the toast were standouts. And we all loved the coffee! The downside that keeps this from 5 stars was the service. Our server was very attentive to other tables, but we had to flag him down for more refills, and after our food hadn't come out for 30 minutes, he admitted he didn't put our order in. When it did come out, my side of bacon was nowhere to be found. As a gesture he discounted the donuts and the bacon, and that was appreciated, but we were definitely disappointed. They charge an automatic 20% tip but have terrible service. Employees seem unhappy to be there and are troubled when we ask for water. You can't get your own water and the waiter never comes to your table once the food is served.
