My friends said I had to try this place while I was in town and I'm glad I did! On a Tuesday at 7:30am they only had 4 customers so I had my choice of seat. They had tables and booths, plus counter space. I explained I was on a tight schedule so the server let me pay right away. I ordered: - Blueberry Lavender pancakes: I love lavender (lattes, soaps, tea, etc) and you could actually taste the lavender in this )not always true at cafes). The blueberries were great. It came with syrup and butter but trust me - the berry lavender topping is more than sweet enough. - Avocado toast : love that this came with a salad (spinach, mandarin, blueberries, and an AMAZING raspberry dressing). Stopped here for breakfast while spending a couple days in a Denver. Party of five, we have a couple versions of the eggs Benedict, veggie scramble and the sweet potato hash. Our group also has a vegetarian, a gluten allergy and a tree nut allergy. The menu was very accommodating and the waiter was helpful adjusting to what we needed. All dishes were excellent were very good. Smaller dining room that gets loud quick (might have been us being the loud ones?). Good for kids. A lot of people recommended Jelly to me as soon as they knew I'm moving to Denver. I've also seen the place several times on must-try brunch places in the Mile High City. As a brunch lover, I couldn't resist. I went on Yelp to put myself on the waitlist - which gives you an approximate time you can expect to be seated. I came around 8:30am so the wait was pretty decent to say the least, especially if you're a party of 1 - you can pretty much sit at the bar. But I highly recommend using the waitlist so you can walk around Cap Hill while waiting. I ordered myself the Corn Flake French Toast and Berries which was phenomenal:) it wasn't overpowering or anything - the sweetness was just right. Even if I drizzled it with syrup, it was still good!! I kind of wished the toast had more corn flakes to it to give that extra crunch. Caution on the syrup as it can make it really soggy. I also had the Chagaccino and a small of their donut bites (4 pieces you can mix and match). My fave would have to be the Mexican chocolate and Thai Peanut!! It was interesting because they put sriracha on the donut bite which made it savory. I suggest you get that one if you want to try something new :) I would have loved to get the green tea but they were out of it today. the manager? (Dude with the long hair) is who receives and reads all the emails and review, so definitely do not expect to get any feed back or a non biased reply. They have served me burnt AND OR undercooked poached eggs 10 times now. They are the only breakfast place in this area so I choose to go back, but after the manager let me know he read my email about my burnt poached eggs (yeah) and blamed it on doordash (I picked up the order) and that I could find somewhere else to eat.... I will! I wish there was a way to contact the owner to let him know the whole neighborhood boycotts this place due to the rude waitstaff. We're all in the service industry, theres a very weird complex in this place, a very undeserved sense of entitlement. They only get business from tourists and people that have gotten lucky with a good experience. The constant bad reviews for this place speak for themselves. A poor experience for my first time here. Had coffee and French toast. The coffee was okay but the French toast was raw and soggy and inedible. Suggestion to the kitchen - since you're using a thick cut of bread, if you get it too wet it won't cook all the way through. Using a very shallow pan for the batter may solve this problem- something like a pie pan with a flat bottom where you can keep the depth of the batter to a minimum and not over soak the bread. Also, close inspection of the food you send out would be good. Otherwise, the help was friendly and I will probably give this place another try in a year or so. read more

The patches eggs were cooked perfectly and was very creamy when mixed with the hollandaise but still lacked something compared to other benedicts we've had in the past. Jelly featured reasonably priced brunch that were well portioned. I think the unique draw to this brunch spot is the donut bites. You can mix and match options and overall each of them has their own allure. The most questionable donuts bite was the Thai Peanut. Depending on how you bite into that thing, getting a blob of Thai chili jam on your tongue at first will have you questioning your decisions on why you got this in the first place. If you manage to get a balanced bite of the donut the Thai chili and peanut butter do pair together nicely. The breakfast burrito was fairly massive and will definitely eliminate your appetite. I had mine with the jackfruit chili option which I quite enjoyed. It was pretty tasty, not the best nor the worst of Denver breakfast burritos. I did end up wishing I tried something more unique to the menu, such as the Molly Hot Brown, which someone else at my table ordered and really enjoyed. The mimosa was very mediocre, like most brunch spots, it's just not worth the cost for what you get. $7.50 is pretty steep for such a weak drink. Overall the service was good, we sat on the outside patio when it was covered, they lifted the fabric walls for fresh air and as a result everyone at our table had to put our coats back on. They have overhead heating but they never turned it on. I would try out this spot again in the future to try something else out on the menu. read more

This was by far the worst meal we had in Denver. I ordered corned beef hash which was foul. The corned beef came in long strings like shoe laces; smelled and tasted ungodly sour and was so dry it took forever to chew and the potatoes were burnt on the bottom. My partner got the biscuits and gravy and he said the gravy was actually cold and the middle portion of his biscuit was inedible. Our first clue that this meal was going to be a dumpster fire was when the dishes were bussed to us 5 minutes after ordering (clearly premade and just nuked in a microwave). First timer while in Denver and it was amazing! Cute atmosphere with a nice bar top to sit at. The staff was awesome and patient while I was indecisive on what I wanted. I got the Wisco and the maple bacon donut bites as a dessert. The Wisco was cheesy and delicious. I added bacon to it. The potatoes were perfect and crispy. i brought my mom on monday, the day after mothers' day 5.15.23. because of travel, this was going to be our mothers' day meal with her card and gifts. at this point in my yelp career i've had about 230 reviews. only 2-3 of them are less than four stars because my review policy is to say good things or be quiet. after thinking about my Jelly experience for 3 weeks, i felt i needed to say something. my partner, who is very anti-yelp (because she used to be reviewed often in her job) also encouraged me to speak up. apologies in advance for the long review, i've been to Jelly about 12 times over the years and have always had good experiences, so take that into account please. Jelly has always been in our 5 favorite brunch spots rotation. on this day, it was pretty awful. we arrived about 1:15 pm. we didn't know they closed at 2 pm until about 1:25 pm after we were eating their yummy donut holes. the four employees we encountered were all pretty grumpy. when we found out they were closing in 30 minutes we definitely hurried so as not to impose. there were about 15 other patrons dining. the worst thing that happened was i ordered my egg over medium. when i cut it, about one tablespoon of clear liquid flooded my plate and soaked my avocado toast. it was gross - a raw egg. obviously i wasn't going to eat it, but now my other stuff was ruined. i found a dry corner and ate only that. our server did not check on us once, after we ordered. he would not even look up when he passed by. the food runners were totally silent when we thanked them. we felt like we couldn't ask for anything, like we were being stone-walled maybe. my partner received her juice, but my mom and i did not receive our coffee for the entire meal. at 1:50 pm we requested the check and paid immediately on their portable electronic device. when i saw that we were charged for the two coffees i asked if we could please get them to go. the silent server looked very unhappy about that, but he didn't offer an apology or offer to remove them from our ticket. we asked for "extra cream please" and that frustrated a couple of them. other than that, the food was pretty good, i just don't want to ever return there, and i'm actually traumatized about the egg. i've had brunch at two different places in denver since then and i ordered my egg over well, even though i don't like hard yokes :-( . maybe try Hudson Hill across the street if you're in the neighborhood? they're excellent. read more

Then. Someone sits next to my husband and she started to experience the same shit! My husband finally said hey you need to stop someone for service. And we watched her go through what we just did.
