This place really is great. Located on Main St in downtown Chagrin Falls, I have been in multiple times for my fancy ice cream fix. They encourage sampling too which is wonderful so that I can try several before finally making a decision! While in today, I sampled four flavors before choosing the lemon bar and Texas sheet cake non dairy flavors. The lemon was punchy and zingy and the Texas sheet cake was rich and deep chocolatey...both were so creamy you'd never know they are non-dairy! All the merchandise looked well made. The line went fast thanks to expedient service. I noticed that most of the flavors were quite basic, which is against the brand of Jeni's crazy flavors. I was disappointed to see that the only crazy flavor was the everything bagel flavor. I tried a couple of the flavors and didn't think they tasted too special - especially for the price. My kid scoop of gooey butter cake was absolutely tiny and cost $5! That is insane for what you get. I didn't want a lot of ice cream, sure, but I don't think their smallest size should cost anywhere near 5 bucks. Especially since I think gooey butter cake, while good, didn't have a strong enough cream cheese flavor. I've loved Jeni's since I was at college at Ohio State. Their unique flavors can't be beat. We relocated our quarantine to my parents house and luckily this location is close to them. For Covid they are wearing masks and gloves. They also aren't doing samples (usually they are great with samples and let you try as many as you want). They put cones on a plate so there is less contact. They give you a free trio on your birthday which is a great deal. You just show your ID. No signing up for mailing lists or anything. It was my husband's birthday and we got a waffle cone with roasted peanut butter & strawberry jelly, gooey butter cake, and skillet cinnamon roll. I'm not sure if it's because I've been eating pints in quarantine and this was the first time having it fresh in a while, but it tasted even better than normal. The waffle cones are to die for. Love coming here on a hot summer day and grabbing a cone. My favorite flavors are the brambleberry crisp and coffee. Brambleberry is very similar to Mitchell's wild berry although it's slightly more tart, which may depend on the batch. I recently went to Jeni's for the first time while visiting Chicago but didn't come close to trying all the flavors I wanted to so I was happy to learn they had a location closer than the Columbus flagship, not too far away in Chagrin Falls! The Brown Butter Almond Brittle is pretty splendid and has the most depth of flavor and texture out of all the ones I've tried, rich and creamy gooey butter & honey interspersed with a salty almond crunch. If you're a fan of lighter, fruity and more refreshing flavors, my top two recs would be the Wildberry Lavender and Orange Blossom Chiffon (seasonal). Other standouts are the Cold Brew w/ Coconut (for coffee lovers) and Nectar Honeycomb (not overly saccharine despite its name thanks to the coriander and floral notes) Definitely recommend getting the Trio, which is the most cost-effective option ($6 for 3 half-size scoops) if you wanna share and/or can't decide on just one of their many mouthwatering flavors. Plenty of parking available in a metered lot nearby, with first 15 min free but you'll probably find yourself staying a bit longer since the shop is right across the street from the falls - ideal for taking a scenic stroll along the water while/after finishing up your delicious scoops! read more

The store is located in the heart of Chagrin Falls, which is totally worth a day trip if you're based in the greater Cleveland area. It's such a cute small town! The interior of Jeni's is very vibrant and has great vibes! As a vegan, I sampled all four of the available dairy free flavors- cold brew, sticky bun, frose, and texas sheet cake. They were all extremely sweet. The single scoop can include up to two flavors, but I couldn't find two flavors that I'd want to eat two scoops of, because they were too sweet. I ended up getting a mini scoop of the sticky bun flavor in a cake cone with rainbow sprinkles. Sometimes vegan ice creams overcompensate for the lack of cream by adding a lot of extra sugar, and I think this is a possible area where Jeni's could improve. read more
