Not a huge ice-cream girlie, but when I do crave it, I always lean toward the non-traditional flavors - and Jeni's never disappoints. It has this cozy, home-style, almost small-batch ice-cream-parlor vibe that I genuinely love. Their flavors are always creative, and the portions are massive (even the half scoops!). In the photo, I got Honey Vanilla Bean and Peanut Butter with Chocolate Flakes - both were amazing. They rotate between classics and fun new drops, so there's always something exciting to try. On a Monday night they were busy!!! Always happy to come back to Jeni's.
First time here! We have been loving the ice cream, because we actually found it in AZ grocery stores lately, I had no idea they had an ice cream store. They offer 1/2 scoops, but they felt like a full scoop! The ice cream is rich and a little heavier than most, I don't think you could do huge scoops of this stuff. A little goes a long way! I tried the almond butter, the gooey butter cake and the birthday cake. Gooey Butter cake was the winner!!! Sooooo good! I loved their little plates and plant based spoons. The employees were friendly and happy to let you try samples- I tried 4 different flavors before I ordered! The shop has some seating indoors and a few small tables outside with umbrellas to cover the sun. You can park on the street or there is a parking structure right next door! Ps sign up for their rewards program for points!

While visiting Old Historic Scottsdale, AZ, we came across Jeni's Ice Creams. They seemed to have a nice selection of Gelatos. They person behind the counter seemed very friendly, helpful and knowledgeable. Their flavors, we sampled several, we're a little different from your typical Gelato shop. They tasted more like the things they were supposed to. For example, the pistachio tasted more like real nuts than typical. The counter person seemed very proud of their product and mentioned that a lot of the ingredients actually come from Italy. If you're in the area, I would definitely check them out.

NO WAY! I cannot believe Jeni's is in Scottsdale! I used to live in Atlanta, GA and always said Scottsdale needed a Jeni's since I visit family there often. I treated my mom to an ice cream date and took her here. I ordered the Texas Sheet Cake, I believe it was called, and it was sooo good. It was kind of busy when I arrived, but the staff was super sweet and kind, and even let us try flavors before we picked the ones we wanted. For me, this new spot gets a 10/10, and I can't wait to come back soon!

It moved pretty quickly and customer service was super friendly and efficient! We ordered 3 different scoops and on this visit got the sweet potato marshmallow praline, sparkling cherry pie and gooey butter cake. The prices are great and I love they serve half scoops so you can try more! We really loved the sweet potato but all 3 were great. My favorites so far have been the brown butter almond brittle and salted caramel. I wish there was a Jeni's on the west side. Maybe in the future?!
Jeni's Splendid Ice Creams Gooey Butter Cake, Brambleberry Crisp and Green Mint Chip are my goto flavors with the first 2 originals from Jeni's. The workers are quickly to serve and let you try samples, it is excellent service and nice to try their original creations. Glad Jeni's has setup shop a few miles from home. How have I just walked past this place for so long? Wife and kids were craving ice cream so in we went. The amazing smells of waffle cones/bowls being made filled the air. Menu was filled with unique flavors that sounded almost as delicious as they tasted. Ended up choosing the salted peanut butter with chocolate flecks...very good. Didn't even get to try my family's choices because I was met with growls and them pulling away. Seems like they approved as well. We'll definitely be back. read more

Seriously good ice cream! They don't have the traditional flavors that you see everywhere. They do have a chocolate chocolate flavor, but that's the simplest one they have. The Brambleberry Crisp was my favorite with Oat Streusel and Brambelberry Jam. read more

Delicious and creative flavors! I got peanut butter and banana flavors- the quality of cream is top notch! There is hardly any seating inside- 4 sears tops and 3 small tables outside! But you can window shop around Scottsdale quarters! Fun experience read more

I enjoyed the samples offered and impressed no plasticware. I chose green smoothy. I returned 2 hours later for cherry ricotta, both very flavorful. The cookie with it was a bit salty. The small shop is clean. The staff were courteous and patient. read more

You can't go wrong with Jeni's!!! If anything, come for the smell of fresh waffle cones! They have some really unique flavors too depending on the season. I love that they let you sample their flavors before making a very hard decision. Definitely worth a try! read more

I moved back home to Arizona almost twenty years ago after a stint in Columbus, Ohio, where I loved to visit the North Market in the Short North, where they had dozens of food booths. One was the first Jeni's Splendid Ice Creams location, which I remember seeing Jeni on a regular basis as I stopped by and got a trio with three small scoops of different flavors. After moving to Arizona, I remember visiting Columbus and learning that Jeni opened other locations in the city. Now, years later in my hometown of Phoenix, I am excited that two locations are located near me. I love the ice cream, the service, the rewards program and app, and the structure of the experience! I have visited this store on several occasions. I find that there is usually a shorter line than the Old Town location, which makes it easier to get ice cream. The staff were very pleasant and offered samples and recommendations. My favorite flavors are Honey Vanilla Bean (made with Fair Trade vanilla beans that are warm and complex in flavor and a perfect partner for a touch of honey and grass-grazed milk) and Coffee With Cream & Sugar (Intelligentsia coffee steeped in cream). Unfortunately, this location doesn't carry Coffee with Cream & Sugar or several of the new summer flavors. There is a very small seating area inside, along with parking in a structure right next to Jeni's. This particular location is located in the Scottsdale Quarter and is open daily from 11 AM to 12 Midnight. The location also offers local delivery and local fundraising. The website (https://jenis.com) offers a listing of flavors, gift options, pick-up and delivery options along with nationwide shipping, local grocery locations for ice cream pints, bars, and sandwiches, scoop shops, the story behind Jeni's, and more. They even have a Pint of the Month Club! Anyone can sign up for the Splendid Rewards program by going to https://jenis.com/pages/rewards. You can then log in through the website or the app. You can win prizes, earn rewards on every ice cream purchase, and enjoy special discounts and earn free ice cream and merchandise. You even get a free upgrade just for signing up. You also get access to members-only extras like birthday ice cream, early access to new flavors, and chances to earn bonus rewards. Lately, I've been playing wordles and if you finish it in three tries (or five tries when checking in), you can earn free ice cream just from that. I've already won a free pint of ice cream, two free ice cream samplers, and two free waffle cones. I also visited Columbus earlier this month and make it back to the original Jeni's again for the first time in many years. I highly recommend you checking out Jeni's if you've yet to ever try it. I'm typically black and white in terms of my preferred ice cream flavours. Chocolate, vanilla, occasionally Oreo, I'm a believer of keeping that some things in life don't need to be complicated. But when you walk into Jenis and see an explosion of uniqueness and creativeness, it would be mendacious if I even considered those basic flavours. Ordered a signature: pumpkin seed and rye, gingerbread molasses and sweet potato, all rotational holiday flavours, because if not now, when? I will admit, I'm not a fan of the "1/2" scoop which are more like baby scoops. Also, 7.75$ for 3 1/2 scoops of cream seems steep but oddly reasonable. read more

The first time I tried this spot, I loved it! The salted peanut butter with chocolate flecks is sooo good. The second time I visited, I was t as impressed, as the flavors started to seem very similar. Something like "Texas sheet cake" just tastes like chocolate. After a few bites, the main flavor of a lot of the ice creams is just sugar. I do love that they give a piece of cone with each scoop, but I'd love to see more flavor development to bring back the basic, rich flavors (like the salt and chocolate in the peanut butter)! read more
Jeni's ice cream is obviously super popular for their fancy flavors. They might be a little too fancy for me but, that's ok! My husband really enjoyed his ice cream. I have the ice cream preferences of a child, with my go-to flavors being cotton candy or sorbet (which sadly wasn't available here). But the service was really great and the store was beautiful. They have a great location in Scottsdale Quarter so perfect for grabbing some after dinner or a movie, or some retail therapy. read more

Jeni's is very very very clean so aesthetically it felt like having ice cream was super healthy. We did a waffle bowl with the darkest chocolate, Texas chocolate sheet cake and mint chocolate chip. It was absolutely delicious and the waffle bowl was crunchy not like most places where it tastes old. The service was great not like the Jeni's in old town Scottsdale. When we walked in the young man greeted us right away and was super helpful and stated we can try some of the flavors if we couldn't make up our mind. read more

Atmosphere - There was only a handful of chairs available near a counter top table along one short wall of the shop. The line to order ice cream ran next to this area. It looks like people should enter from only the door marked enter and exit from the other door marked exit. The shop was located inside of the corner of a building that could only be accessed from outside since it is an outdoor shopping mall. The shop had a line of other customers when we arrived. There was a constant small line while we were there. People didn't have to wait outside since the line was a bit small. The ice cream options were on chalk boards behind the counter, on the wall. No music, which was good. One restroom available. I didn't visit. Temperature inside was a bit warm. I have been to some places where it's been hot. The store faces the setting sun so that might have contributed to the indoor heat. They have two small tables outside at the exit, but it was too hot outside to sit at the moment. Ice cream and waffle bowl - The ice cream was delicious. They had a smaller selection than usual since one of their freezer cases was not working. They give you samples on small reusable metal spoons. You deposit them in a ceramic container on the counter once finished. I had a sample of the burnt orange creamsicle. It was very orange flavored. It didn't taste roasted, which was good. I also tried the bastani sonnati, but I couldn't really taste it too well since I had just finished the orange sample. The orange flavor was over powering. I could detect something chewy in the bastani, which I think was a soft pistachio. I didn't know double dough was a limited flavor. The other limited flavors were typical ones, cookies in cream, and green mint chip, which probably tastes pretty standard. The standard flavors they were offering included gooey butter cake, brown butter almond brittle, brambleberry crisp, darkest chocolate, Texas sheet cake, salted peanut butter with chocolate flecks, and buttercream birthday cake. I have had brown butter almond brittle, and brambleberry crisp before. The brown butter almond brittle tastes good, but I wish they had a nutless version. The brambleberry crisp is good and tastes like berries with oats. Have not tried darkest chocolate or Texas sheet cake or salted peanut butter with chocolate flecks. I had the gooey butter cake, butter cream birthday cake, and the double dough. The gooey butter cake was sweet and had little crumbles of butter cake in it. The butter cream birthday cake had sprinkles in it that gave it a good chewy texture. It did taste like frosting. I might not choose that one next time. The double dough had some dough pieces, but mostly tasted like brown sugar. These were the best that I have had so far. The waffle bowl was quite salty. It also tasted nutty. I liked how crispy it was. Service - I saw two employees there. The service here was great. The employee let me sample the flavors, it is hard to decide when the flavors are so exotic, but at the same time, some typical flavors might still not taste like one would expect. For example, an orange flavor might taste like a good fresh orange from a tree, but sometimes it could taste like medicine. Might be better to have a larger store, I saw some customers ahead of me leave the line because the wait was too long for them. Background - Friend wanted to go and I like ice cream. Parking - There are a couple of nearby parking structures that are shared with other businesses. Lots of good parking, even though the parking structure was busy and crowded. Shaded parking! Love it! Future - I would go to a Jeni's. Their flavors are good and I do like that I can sample flavors so I can find my next favorite flavor. read more

Tried Jenis ice cream after a Facebook recommendation. Unique flavors impressed me a lot. If you are bored of regular flavors this is the place to go. We tried several flavors but must try ones are bay leaf cheesecake and Bastani sonnati. They do the waffle cones fresh. Service was pretty good. They were patient, explaining and let us try samples even when crowded. Nice ambiance overall. read more

Most delicious ice cream!!!! We all went for a sweet treat after shopping today and had the most amazing ice cream. I ordered the SWEET POTATO MARSHMALLOW PRALINE husband had the BROWN BUTTER ALMOND BRITTLE and our daughter had the MISO BUTTERSCOTCH BROWNIE. Every one of these was absolutely delicious and not heavy at all.. They were quite splendid!! read more

First can I say how splendid the aroma is at this ice cream establishment! filled me with joys! Next our ice cream connoisseur Lucas (pictured in the back) was such a pleasure to have as our scooper. He was very kind and let us sample as many ice creams as possible which was amazing because they had just started carried their summer flavors. We tried the Pink Champ sodie as well (honestly not my favorite but paired well with the ice creams). Will definitely be returning in the future when new flavors drop. 10/10 read more
