They have a very limited beer selection, an "IPA" is on the menu (turned out to be Harpoon), plus the usual bad macro brews. I tried the fried scallop sandwich, she had the grilled flounder sandwich. Hers was ok, mine was terrible, undercooked and smelled bad. Inedible. Both came with soggy unsalted fries. Some idiot near us on the deck decided to throw her fries to the gulls, which caused them to swarm over the rest of us. And of course one crapped on the guy sitting behind me. I love this on the water dive bar. A small back patio and a side patio wraps around the establishment. The food though...delicious! Bartenders are quick and friendly. Open year round on the mile. Always see a few familiar faces. They used to give free beers if you took off your bra and let them hang it by the bar, didn't see if they still did that. If you need to eat while on the nautical mile, Jeremy's Ale House is the best place to get a good value and FRESH FOOD. This place is an institution on the mile, and it's consistency has bred its success. Service is friendly and fast, even when they have 12 live orders. Service is fast counter style - order and pay up front, grab condiments from the side station, and take your order number to a table of your choosing on their beautiful deck, or cool off inside and catch a game on their big TVs. The runners bring the food to you and offer to clean up after you; make sure you tip in advance when you pay at the counter - their workers are like buzzing bees all over the eatery. The beer is always cold and fresh (32oz drafts for about $7-9 each make this place unique), the cocktails are always reasonably priced. But what makes this the lunch and dinner destination of the mile is the food. You can't find fresher seafood here, nor can you find a better value for the price - other places on the mile will charge upwards of $20-$24 for fish and chips, or my favorite - beer battered shrimp with fries - $11.95 at Jeremy's, and you get 10 gigantic shrimp, battered THICK, and served with a solid half pound of fries (hot tip: sink them in hot sauce!). Don't sleep on the burgers, hot dogs, or fried chicken sandwiches as they are all scrumptious, and the roast pork with provolone and onions seems like a sleeper. One suggestion I would make is that they vary up their music - every other song is Pink Floyd..classic rock is great, but throw in some other classic rock artists to the playlist! I came here after quickly checking Yelp when I came to the mile to see where to eat. I've eaten at Braccos and was not impressed at all with food, service and prices. I didn't read reviews, but came here to eat based on the stars. Walk in and the place is a dump. Pretty sure the restaurant isn't level it leans to the left. It's a seat yourself and order your food at the bar kinda place. After looking over the menu I was thinking damn these prices are cheap. You can get a fried combo of 3 seafood choices for around $13 that comes with fries and coleslaw. Crab cakes for $10 that comes with 4 (on the smaller side crab cakes) fries and coleslaw. I'm pretty sure almost everything was under $20. Food took maybe 5-10 mins to come out. The fried zucchini sticks to start were yummy, but so freakin hot beware. And don't bother with the marinara sauce it's awful, tastes like ragu. I tried the fried shrimp, scallops, calamari and crab cakes. The shrimp, calamari and especially the scallops were excellent! Scallops were so tender, shrimp were big and fresh and the calamari was good too. All were well seasoned, the scallops and shrimp tasted like they were beer battered. *Skip the crab cakes* thumbs down. They have a small refrigerator with condiments that you can get up and get yourself. (Hot sauce, ketchup, tartar sauce, cocktail sauce etc.) they have utensils, plates, napkins, all paper and plastic that you can take to your table for your meal. There are also large trash cans so you can throw out everything. Literally this place you do everything except cook your own food haha. By no means is this place clean, or a nice sit down restaurant. Amazing Drive-In bar/restaurant. The food was fresh and amazing. Came here during off season in March. Yet, this place was still very popular. Freeport is a street full of restaurants and bars by the water. It's a different felling from City Island, It's more like you've one down south. I had the Jeremy's fried combo. I picked the fried calamari, oysters, and Cajun shrimp. It was straight out of the kitchen. Hot, crunchy, and juicy. I love the Cajun spice for the shrimp, and the oysters were crunchy on the outside, super juicy inside. Highly recommend, I will definitely come back during the summer. read more

We came here after failing time and time again to find a decent place to eat along the Nautical Mile. There wasn't a wait even though the restaurant is tiny. Order at the bar, open a tab, get a number, food is eventually brought to you. As we waited for our food, high tide started (with a full moon, to boot) and the water started coming inside the restaurant. This is obviously a common occurrence here since the staff all had rainboots ready to go for themselves. We ended up moving tables since our original table was now surrounded by an inch of water. The front deck area also had a ton of water coming up but at least that had a drain. After a while the drain stopped helping. We quickly got our food after that and did our best to eat as quickly as possible before the whole place had an inch of water along the floor. My catfish sandwich was actually delicious. The beer selection is lacking but the seafood is so good that it's worth it. We also split an order of mussels which were dry and not that great but not terrible either. The restroom was clean but also starting to flood. The waiter and bartender were all super nice and calmed everyone that was freaking out about the rising water. Would I come here again? Yes, for the food. Would I come during high tide? No, absolutely not. Honestly they need to rip out the carpeting here since flooding is a known issue. read more

Seafood is ok. Nothing special. Came here late night bc it was the only thing open, and prices aren't high being on the bay. I don't suggest anyone should come for food unless maybe you're wasted and you won't know the difference between nasty and good food. My family moved to Freeport about 10 years and I've only been to Nautical Mile about 5 times. I always love this place when in the mood for casual but fresh seafood but my last visit was a horror. My girlfriend & I went for dinner on an Beautiful August Monday night 8/24/15. I love this place. You are not coming here for the ambiance, but the food is great. I love the paper plate and paper towel standard in this joint. Just got back from a visit that included super cold beers on the outdoor deck. For lunch is was the fried combo for me and the grilled combo for the hubby. My fried choice (yes you get to pick your 3 items) were the cajun shrimp (so good and spicy), the scallops (perfectly cooked), and the calamari (which has the most amazing batter) all on top of fries. Sure, not the healthiest of meals, but don't judge. My husband got the grilled counterpart which came with a small salad on the side. He got the shrimp, scallops and calamari. All seasoned and cooked perfectly. Oh did I mention I got the fried corn on the cob? I think it was good, but if corn was in season it would have been great. They also have a good selection for the kids. Such a nice lunch time spent. If you are looking for a fancy destination for a romantic evening, this is not your place. This is our destination place during the summer months. Most of the restaurants and entertainment is open during summer months on this street, but this spot is opened all year around. I do recomend calling ahead, since they didn't have lobsters when we called in the spring. I recomend coming here during the summer months. The music is playing out of all the restaurants, and it's a cold environment to hang back in and have a lobster with some beer. This is not a a divvy place, but that's the charm of it. I did manage to find a crappy IPA in a bottle, but the beer tasted a bit stale (and flat) despite being very cold. Very questionable if there was even real chicken in them, oh also super greasy. All of our food had to be reduced of all the grease by laying them in paper towels before we could even consider consuming. They say butter makes everything taste better, but the clam chowder tasted as if you were actually eating a bowl of butter. We sat ourselves then ordered at the bar. The hot food was delivered to the table. The drinks are beer and cocktails- no wine (or it is not on the menu). Much on offer is fried food but there are salads and grilled options. The scallop sandwich was tasty and came with fries. The fried calamari (legs only ) were too oily for us, but perhaps others are accustomed to the excess. The main attraction for us was the water view in a place with no stress. While me and the little lady where looking for a place to eat on the nautical mile a local approached us and said we needed to try this place and even gave us suggestions of what to eat. So you walk in and it's self sitting, that's okay. But you have to go back to the bar to order, still not bad. But tell my why you have a waitress walking around and when asked for stuff, she gives a look like what you bothering me for. There was a 3 mix and match combo, so we got fried scallop, beer batter shrimp and clam strips. They where okay and a 1/2 dozen little neck that were gritty so it wasn't the best we had but I still need to come back to try the clam chowder. We will see next time I come around. So- was walking along the nautical mile looking for a spot to sit and have a drink and randomly stopped in here. Very glad I did! Very friendly bartenders and servers. We were greeted by the bartender actually as soon as we walked in. Ordered drinks which were nice and strong and reasonably priced. Inside was nice and big and a good vibe throughout the place. Good music playing as well. There is also an outside area in the back of the bar by the water. Also an outdoor area right in front of the bar as well that faces the street. I ended up taking a table out back and ordering some food as well. Your typical good bar food is what they have on their menu. It's a simple and to the point type of place. A waterfront restaurant with seating inside and out. To be honest not fancy at all but the decor fit them, it's a cool spot. The first time I came we sat outside the second time we was outside but the bugs was annoying so we went inside. I ordered the fried platter where you can pick up to three choices. I choose the calamari, shrimp and scallops, comes with fries and cole slaw. The food is really good, my sister also ordered the pick three combo but grilled, hers came with salad and rice. My sister Melissa suggested this place for us to watch the Yankees game last Friday night and get a bite to eat. She had been raving about this place. You know that saying that looks aren't everything, that sums up Jeremy's perfectly. No disrespect but I was not expecting the food to be so damn good when I first walked in. One of the few times in life I was more than happy to be wrong. I ordered the chicharron, terriakyi wings and fried corn on the cob. Melissa ordered a buffalo chicken salad and fried corn on the sob. I have to start with the chicharron which was amazing. It was so good I debated actually going to get some before going to the city Sunday night but that would have been kinda crazy so I'll have to wait a while before I can enjoy them again, like this Friday maybe. It is so crunchy and chewy at the same time. Fried perfection! The wings were well cooked and they didn't put too much sauce like some places will with terriakyi sauce. The fried corn on the cob was good but I couldn't finish it, I was stuffed after the chicharron, wings and a couple of drinks. Next time I'll have to tackle it first. I did not count how many TVs were there but there were more than 4-5 I'd say, so definitely a good place to watch any sporting event. I don't know if they order MMA or boxing PPVs though. The service was great, did not wait long for someone to take our order and did not have to wait too long for our order to come out.
