Leon is an absolutely amazing hair stylist, works very fearlessly and efficiently! My original visit was about two months ago, when he cut 3.5 years worth of hair off, and it turned out very clean! Today, I came in for a beard trim and he happened to help me out again. Random Yelp search resulted in gold!! I had no expectations except I was getting a hair cut. I knew none of the barbers and just randomly got Jessica and was blown away. She took her time and even used hot foam and a straight razor for a quick shave. I joked that I had missed a spot shaving this morning and she went ahead and made sure I was clean. I am disappointed to say this was one of the worst haircuts I've gotten in five years. I went into the shop on a rainy Saturday morning. The people were nice enough, but my barber didn't even spend ten minutes on my cut. It's a very uneven cut and I will have to go back to another barber to get it fixed. A classic barber shop at its finest. They use actual razors to line up, topped with shaving cream and a warm wash cloth. I've always been satisfied after leaving this place! FINALLY found a good barber in south San Jose/ Campbell. Michael, was cutting closest to the door today, got my comb over perfectly. Some other lady messed my hair up at Robertsville and he not only fixed it but got it exactly how I liked it. I've come to find out that if you know the barbers personally, they will avoid the waiting list and go directly to you, so that's good for you. This has been a small investigation that I've gathered info about. I've been the first one at the door on a Saturday before several times and I was skipped because apparently the barbers make their own appointments. I thought to myself "well it's ok it was just this one time" but nope, it happened several times. There have been other times where I sign my name up, and again, i was skipped without these other guys writing their names down because they set up an appointment personally. I've asked myself if they take down appointments but they tell me no. So I don't understand this system and I'm sick and tired of being skipped and ignored when I and other guys write our names down and they don't acknowledge it. Never coming back to this place again. (And I give good tips when it comes to good service, so idk what it is). read more

I walk into the shop, two men are getting their hair cut. Two men sitting and waiting. Guy tells me "about 30 minutes". I sit down and wait for more than 45 minutes until it is my turn. Another man walks in the front door and says "Just so you know, I'm next in line, I was outside waiting in my car." He sits down in the barber's chair. I've been searching for a barber for a long time, I've been to some haircut places with 4 star ratings and they have been horrible not sure who rated those places..I was a little hesitant to try this barber but i said hey shit.... i let vivian from shear hair salon cut my hair and it was okay nothing to praise for or go on yelp and give 5 stars to so ill try this place. Man I was surprised, i got exactly what I asked for and more. This is just the place to go if you want a good haircut. I don't review as often but when I do I like to give props where props need to be given and this place is it. I asked for a low taper, which most haircuts I've been to don't have a clue what I'm talking about. He blended the sides and then he lined me up. the style look great very pleased. going again today will make sure to post a picture. read more

These guys aren't bad for a barbershop. I needed a new place where the line wasn't crazy long and the prices weren't super high. When you walk in its an interesting environment and feels kind of tight as it is a small shop. When you walk in there is no visible sign in sheet anywhere and the barbers just call you up from the waiting area. It took me about 45 minutes of waiting before finally getting called up to the chair and the shop wasn't full. I asked for a skin fade to a 2 on the sides with a hard part on the left, and simple combover on the top. The fade could've been blended better on the sides but that could be fixed as my hair grew out. The styling on top looked nice and fresh which was what I was looking for. The final price ended up to be $19 which is a pretty good price for a barber of this quality. I will most likely be coming back here for more haircuts. read more

I grew up in Oakland, and used to go to an old barber shop off of Fruitvale, near the MacArthur, across the street from Lucky's at the time. This place took me back at least 18 years. The gentlemen who cut my hair had that old school flavor, you can only imagine how many haircuts he's doled out in his lifetime. I wanted something professional so I thought I would give it a try. It's close to my work, which is a major plus, and somethings you just can't put into words, it's like spending time in another era. It was definitely more expensive than other local barbers who I feel do just as well, which is why I gave four stars rather than five. El Camino barber is nearly half the price and equally skilled. I have been a customer of this barber shop for over 10 years. I have always gotten good haircuts and was very pleased. I went in for a Senior priced haircut early in January 2016 expecting to pay $13 for it. I was very surprised to pay $17 dollars for it! There was a price change. The Senior haircut went from $13 to $15 only on certain days of the week. Saturday was a full price day. The prices went up about 15% for Seniors as well as regular haircuts. It cost me $30% more for my cut on Saturday. I will not be back. Reluctantly I will find another barber shop since I am on Social Security. Seniors did not get a 15% Social Security increase. read more

He was in desperate need of a shave, haircut and general facial grooming. Raquel did an amazing job! Not only was she patient and gentle with him, but she was extremely thorough.
