4 months in the making and the workers at JM still can't get it right. Not sure if they don't know how to read, afraid to touch the vegetables or what. Last month I had to file a dispute on my credit card because they refused to refund me a wrong order. Not sure if we need a new owner at this place or not. Don't get me wrong, the food is great but management and workers are horrible. How many times have I placed an order and you can't read this?! Yea, I keep ordering from here, hoping my order is correct. If I spend over $40 for an order, I expect it to be right. Mistakes happens but if it happens every other week for the past 4-6 months, there's a problem. Time to reevaluate your employees and re-train them on proper ways to make sandwiches. Sorry to sound harsh but bad habits makes for bad business. Apologizing really doesn't help once you apologized once. Now it just becomes a "I have to apologize" to the customer. C'mon guys! I love Jersey Mike's. It might be because I grew up outside Philadelphia eating hoagies, but I think their sandwiches are on point. I specifically like going to this location because the people who work here are awesome and friendly. There have been a few times where my mobile order took 10 or 15 minutes (which isn't even that long) and they were super apologetic and hooked me up with a free drink. I came here the day they opened. My husband got a meat sandwich and I got the tuna sandwich. It is so much better than subway. The bread is so good and I love the soak they have with the vinegar and olive oil. The meat was cooked right then and there and the cheese melted from the heat of it. Ough so delicious! Shit experience. Very rude employees. We only had two people ahead of us, standing there waiting for a long time, they kept prioritizing incoming online/phone orders over in person customers. And we're rude about it. Also when I ordered a meatball sandwich, which I haven't done before, the wrapped it up before asking what toppings I wanted, rudely they said I had to ask before they make, so I guess the customer is wrong for not knowing. Jersey Mikes in Imperial Beach USED TO BE a great place. Today I ordered a regular #8 on white bread, Mike's Way. That is the exact way a customer is supposed to order, right? Those of you who are regulars, I'm sure would agree. Well, today I gave my order, put my Jersey Shore points into their machine and paid for my order. I was then sent to the pickup area!??? Even though there was only 1 customer ahead of me in the pickup area, I waited, and waited, and waited... I could see that my sandwich hadn't even begun to be prepared. Finally, the guy asks me for my order!!!!! I told him I had already ordered and paid for it. Well, then DUMBO (I DON'T KNOW HIS NAME BUT YOU CAN EASILY FIND HIM AS HIS HAIRCUT MATCHES HIS BRAIN FUNCTION) begins to query me on my order. I had to tell him my full order approximately 5 times because he wouldn't listen. He preferred to query every minute detail. Finally, when he asked if I wanted pickles, I repeated Mike's Way for the umpteenth time, another worker said, "She said Mike's Way", and I finally got my sandwich. Here comes the punchline: As I left the restaurant, one of the girls shouts out for the entire restaurant to hear: Did she pay for that? If it weren't for the fact that I pick up my son's weekly lunch there (same exact lunch once a week for years), I would never step into that place again. Caveat Emptor! read more

We have eaten here about once a week since it opened, and have always been satisfied. But our last visit was a big exception. We ordered a giant sub, but were charged for two regulars. Mistakes happen, but I measure a business by how they respond to a mistake. Their's was an attitude of "we are right and you are wrong"! No one of three employees exhibited one iota of concern. Prior to this visit I would have given them a four star, because their poor selection of bread. David and Emma were both very helpful and friendly when serving me. I ordered a sub with no meat and added avocado. They let me know that they would not be charging me for the avocado since I was not getting meat and that made my day! This has always been something that I wished restaurants would do since I'm vegetarian and I always ask for my orders without meat. I usually have to pay the full price of the meal plus the extra cost for avocado despite the fact that I am not getting the full meal. Although I never say anything, it is a little bothersome to have to pay for something I am not going to eat. The place was very busy. We had to wait 10 minutes in line just to place an order for one Philip Cheesesteak. After waiting 15 minutes, the guy just started cleaning the grill for my Philly Cheesesteak. The grill guy was just talking to the manager. He started to clean the grill at a very slow pace. It looked like he was massaging the grill. Other customer orders were completed, while I was still waiting. When I asked for a refund or my sandwich now, the cashier had to go get someone else. So let me say the food is delicious. They are pretty quick and efficient most of the time and it's always fresh. Today I decided to try the online order through app because I had a short lunch break . It was very easy to use and I was pleased. When I arrived I went directly to the online order register for pickup and proceeded to wait at least three minutes . Mind you , there were three employees directly in front of me but not one acknowledged my existence at the register. This is extremely rude and my biggest pet peeve when going to any place of service. I was only helped when I finally said can one of you help me? I went here about a week ago to check them out in the new center. I went in with my boyfriend and it was decently busy. He ordered a giant Philly, and I ordered a small Cali Club. We paid and waited for his sub (since his was hot it took a bit longer than mine). The staff was very friendly and informational. With the line that came in the door after us, the workers kept their composure very well, and worked fast but not hectic. My boyfriend was amazed by the guy on the grill. He had it DOWN. When we got home and ate our sandwiches about an hour later, I was very impressed. Usually I go to Subway (no offense..) and if I eat their sandwich an hour later, the bread is all soggy and gross from the oil and vinegar I always put on. This place was TOTALLY different. I ate EVERY bite of my sandwich. There were no soggy spots in the bread at all, and the meat and veggies were super fresh and tasty. I got the sandwich "Mike's Way", which was recommended. I wanted to put the "relish" on mine, but the guy building my sandwich recommended I put that on the side. SOOOO glad I did! It would have overpowered my sandwich so much. It was perfect. I've been craving it since, and I can't wait to go back. You guys and girls all did a great job and I can tell, if you keep it up, this place will do GREAT! I was amazed at how much better their sandwiches are then the other "they who shall not be named" subs. I love them! I used them for a catering order and when I went to their Imperial Beach location to put my order in and talked to a very nice man named David. I told him that it was for a memorial function and he asked if I wanted delivery. Who knew they delivered? They were prompt and the food was a hit! Thank you to IB JM! First of all, I love Jersey Mike's, but stay away from this location....Ordered a giant # 13 on wheat, I got a regular size on white bread... the young black girl making the sandwiches is dumb as a box of rocks. She is more worried about talking with her coworkers, then getting the orders right for the customers... this location sucks, this location has very little traffic and customers, and now I know why. Awesome location in the new revitalized strip mall on 9th st. In Imperial beach! Okay they have indoor/outdoor seating, they take credit/debit cards, & cash. They have a bathroom for customers located at the back of the shop. Great atmosphere, the associates working here make it feel welcoming to relax and order food. They cut all of their meats & cheeses to order so you know your getting everything fresh as they make it in front of you. 5 stars because I have been to many Jersey Mikes all over California, and for a new location their team has got it down! read more
