I really enjoy their subs and I love that I can get a sub in a tub. I ordered online for the first time today and it was the worst. First I ordered it at around 2:30 to have it ready around 3:30 when my lunch break was, well I couldn't order at 3:30 but I can order at 3:39 so that's what I picked. Went over at 3:35 ish, told them I had an online order but I was early. They immediately brought it out and I was surprised but happy. Two mins later I take a bite and it's barely even warm and the cheese is all hard. It seemed like they made it a while ago and tried to put it under a hot lamp or something. I definitely wasn't very fresh and wasn't satisfied. I will NEVER order online again, however I probably will be back to order in person. read more

Love Jersey Mike's sandwiches, always fresh! My main reason for this review is because of the staff. I come in a couple times a month and everyone I've encountered always goes over the top with their customer service. I order my sandwich very plain but they always ask if I would like something packaged on the side. I'm always offered a water cup as I wait for my hot sandwiches to finish cooking. I had an awful experience here today. I ordered online as I have numerous times before and arrived right at my pickup time, 12pm. Every time I have done this before it's been ready, no problem. I gave my name for the pick up and the guy seemed confused, asked me again my name and then he took my ticket to another guy who said I can't pronounce that name. It's like hello, I am standing right here and can hear you. I get my last name isn't easy to pronounce but I said it twice. It was just very rude and uncomfortable. Then they said something was wrong and they needed to remake my order. I said ok. What else can I do? So they ask me what I ordered and I said don't you have the online order to make my sandwich and the guy seemed really irritated and just asked that I give it again. He then proceeds to hastily make the sandwich and is about to finish and I was like wait I wanted the pickled, peppers and jalapeños, etc. He then proceeds to correct me and say well you wanted mikes way and you need to tell us if you want anything else. Well I had put in exactly what I wanted online and already paid for a sandwich that wasn't ready on time and sorry if I am a bit flustered because I am busy at work and this was my second to pick up lunch, hence the online ordering! When he finishes he had the audacity to say I was early for my pickup, which was not true because about 10 mins had passed after the original pickup time. Jersey Mike's subs are absolutely the best. Subway and Quiznos simply don't measure up. The meat is sliced right in front of you, and they put lots of it on your sandwich. I had a horrible experience at this Jersey Mike's today. To start off there was one gentleman only that they were helping while they kept me waiting for over 3 minutes while 3 other employees were in the back and one saw me, but didn't care to help until the one worker that was taking care of the customer infront of me told him to help me. I gave him my order 1 giant #10 & all that worker did was cut the bread handed the bread to the worker that had asked him to help me. This got worst as he handed the bread to the other worker I noticed he didn't have the plastic disposal gloves on and grabbed the bread with his bare hands I watched him place the bread on the back counter that I don't know if it was even clean, there was some type of machine so I know it wasn't a clean area to put a bread on and not even paper under the bread as he put on his disposal gloves a bit late don't you think. He then dragged the bread accross the countertop like a towel, took his sweet time putting on the tuna and finally put the bread on the board where it should have been were all of the ingredients were. I told him I wanted Provolone cheese and the lazy worker that only cut the bread told me there's an extra charge for cheese. I told him since when. I've gone to other Jersey Mike's and never heard of that . He said well it is an extra charge. I said well no thank you I don't want it and you can keep your sandwich and walked out. I have never witness such a disgusting Jersey Mike's with dirty, gross and un helpfull workers. I will make sure I never visit or have anyone I know visit this place. I wish there was -- Stars. Wow. Just had my first Jersey Mike's sandwich, and...wow. Got the Roast Beef and Provolone, with mustard, mayo and everything they throw on it. I recommend going light on the oil and vinegar however. Didn't eat in the actual location, as a kindly co-worker brought it back to the office for me. Might have been even better right off the assembly line. Still not a big Jersey MIke's fan. Had a small chicken parm and a small philly cheesesteak to try a couple sandwiches. The cheesesteak was good, not Philly's Best good or anything. Today I had my first Jersey Mike's experience. I was going to get the Italian sub, but then I saw, beckoning me from the bottom corner of the menu, the Pastrami Reuben, and I knew I just had to get it. I got it on wheat bread just to make it slightly less unhealthy. And it was pretty fantastic. I have a love-hate relationship with pastrami - I seem to enjoy only about 50% of the pastrami sandwiches I eat, but this was definitely one of them. Very juicy and flavorful without being too "pastrami-y" (the sauerkraut probably helped). Purists would probably scoff at the lack of rye bread, but I loved the soft, sub-style bread it came on. The place is pretty small, but I came at 1:00 on a weekday and it wasn't terribly busy, so there were lots of available tables. They kept the place very clean and tidy, too. I'll definitely be coming back. read more

So my daughter cannot have gluten and we were excited to try the new Gluten free bun by Udi's (a common gluten free brand that is not terribly expensive at the stores). Please be aware there is an extra charge for the bread (common occurrence at most restaurants) but apparently the kids menu is not an option for this item so as a combo you will pay nearly double than the kids priced sandwich combo. Also their salad tubs are over priced as well for the amount of food you get. My daughter and I spent nearly $28 for one combo and one salad with drink and tip. There are other sandwich shops around that offer gluten free options. Yes, they charge extra for their bread option too but still will pay about $10 less for two people. Honestly even a sit down restaurant would be less money. Just be aware this is not a "$" place to eat. You will pay way more for sandwich and chips! read more

Had a bad experience here on a different visit but decided to give them another chance. The person making my grilled veggie wrap tonight @ 6:15pm was untrained and I could see he wasn't preparing the wrap correctly. I spoke to the cashier (no one had on name tags) and asked him to make sure the sandwich was made correctly. I paid attention to what was going on because I have received a grilled wrap with cold raw veggies in the past. He walked to the grill and yelled at me over his shoulder "he IS making it right, NOW". Pretty average. It was fine, and I preferred the meat compared to other fast sub restaurants, but I really wish they would expand the options. The sauce was oil, mayo and vinegar. Nothing but perfection with my recent experience. Last time I came I did have a problem with the customer service but it was fixed. I came in and was greeted and during my entire visit everyone was very nice. Just like last time the food was amazing. It was fast fresh and delicious. I had heard about this place a while ago, but tried it a couple of weeks ago. I went there for lunch and loved it. I am a vegetarian, so it's hard for me to find a sandwich place that I like. We had great service and everyone around us seemed happy with their service. The people sitting around us had annoying kids, but that's not the restaurant's fault. THEN, I visited again a couple days ago and may never go back. The worker had no clue what he was doing. I explained my sandwich and he stared at me weird and questioned me because I did not want meat. He then messed it up and when I tried to correct him, he said they didn't warm subs, but my family always goes there and gets warmed/baked/toasted (which ever one it is) subs. He then tried to tell a customer that they didn't know what they ordered (the customer said he only ordered one, but they worker told him he ordered more). I think they have to learn to keep comments to themselves and to focus on the costumers and the service they give to their customers. No one around me seemed happy with the service, as we all exchanged glances. i give it a three star because I had one great experience, and one terrible experience. Went to the El Toro and Raymond location after work today and was very disappointed with the customer service. Typically when I go, a very tall man (I believe his name is Dave) is always incredibly friendly and treats my family and I very very nicely. However this time, I was greeted with a very unpleasant young blonde. Or I should say I was not greeted by her. When she took my order she was very short and rude, and made little sighs underneath her breath as if my request for a sandwich was inconveniencing her. And when she was dressing my sandwich she said "what do you want?" with heavy attitude, and glared at me. A connoisseur of the genuine East coast "sub sandwich" for many years, here are my findings. - Few Jersey Mike's sandwich maker's have a clue about what a real "Jersey sub" should taste like. (heck, except for manager training, I suspect that most of the actual sandwich makers have ever been outside of California). They thus must be coached when making them . . (it's best to alternate the different cheese and meat slices, not bunch all meat and then bunch all cheese together). Also, who ever heard of jalapeno peppers on a sub sandwich? (Italian peppers yes, but jalapeno??? Jersey Mike's bread is unfortunately as ordinary as that of it's rival Subway's (cakey, not crusty). Their freshly sliced meats and cheese's go a long way toward a genuine sub, plus Jersey Mike's Ice tea is also unusually good as it is freshly brewed and not made from a powder mix. read more

UNSANITARY! Workers don't use clean knives and counters.I witnessed one of the workers drinking directly out of a metal bin from the kitchen. You can see their filthy kitchen from the front. First time was GREAT! I ordered the Tuna and my wife ordered the Chipotle Cheese Steak sandwich. I tried her sandwich and enjoyed it better than mine. Seems like the owner made the cheese steak and it was packed full of meat, cheese and all the condiments that go with it. My experience was a 4 of 5 on the scale! The second time, however, was BAD! My wife and I shared the Chipotle cheese steak (giant size) and the meat was thinly laid out, and there were little or no condiments at all!! Also, the staff wasn't too friendly this time and seemed more interested in watching the TV than saying goodbye to us!! I complained to the corporate office and was met with a weak apology and they contacted the owner of the store who NEVER contacted me about my complaint! I wrote back the corporate office letting them know that the owner didn't call me back and that I requested that they compensate me for being ripped off and they ignored me as well! BAD customer service!!! My recommendation is to stay away from Jersey Mikes as you can get a better sandwich value from Subway, Quiznos or Togo's who care more about your satisfaction than Jersey Mikes does.
