Review for Jersey Mike's - Westwood Location I usually have a great experience at Jersey Mike's and was understanding today when I saw that a new employee was being trained -- I have no issue with that and was happy to be patient. After placing my order, I was directed to the register to pay. Everything seemed fine until I was told by a young employee (an African-American male) to move and not stand near the area where I usually wait for my sandwich. His words were vague -- something like "go more that way," which felt unnecessary and a bit odd, but I complied and sat down to wait. My sandwich took a bit longer than usual, which I completely understand due to the training. However, things became more confusing when an associate named William told me to go to the register to get my sandwich. When I went, I was told I needed to pay again, even though I had already paid earlier. The original cashier, who was standing right there, didn't acknowledge the prior transaction or clarify the confusion. What bothered me most was when I asked for clarity, the same young employee told me they don't like people standing near the register "because our tips are there, and we don't want them to end up missing." That comment felt unnecessary, accusatory, and left me deeply uncomfortable -- especially as a customer of color. Whether it was intentional or not, it gave off the impression that I was being viewed with suspicion, which was disappointing. I'm sharing this not to call anyone out personally, but in the hope that the staff can be reminded of the importance of communication, professionalism, and treating all customers with the same level of respect and courtesy. I still enjoy Jersey Mike's, but I truly hope this location reflects on how this interaction could've been handled better.

I have been coming to this store for several years and they have had consistently friendly and quick employees. I have never had an order made wrong and everything is ready on time or early when I do mobile pick up. This store is clean and well stocked. The food is fresh and good quality. I like that you can customize so much on the mobile app and get the calorie count. Their rewards program is pretty good and I like getting the free sandwiches every so often. I highly recommend this Jersey Mikes location.

Great experience every time I come here! My go to order is the #9 club supreme bowl with avocado. These bowls really are so underrated & need to be talked about more. They always make my bowl filled to the top with fresh ingredients & tons of flavor. Highly recommend trying this order out you won't regret it! Location is easy to find & very clean. Staff is always friendly & food always comes out fast & efficient. There is indoor & outdoor seating available. I recommend placing your order ahead of time on the app since this location is a popular one.

Love this sandwich place. Chicken Philly Steaks are always fresh and delish. They also serve cold cut sandwiches! Definitely on the healthy side of fast food chain. I like their outdoor seating as well as indoors. Drinks and fountain bar has variety. Chips has variety, they have baked potato chips too.

I hate to do this but a warning label must be put on all items!!! WARNING - HIGH SODIUM - EAT AT YOUR KIDNEYS OWN RISK Not one item I ordered was under the daily maximum - if fact my gluten free turkey giant is 7500mg & a jersey favorite normal is 4000+ mg- I wrote a great 5 star review for taste and friendliness of staff - this has not changed! The kidney stones I have now have 100% soured all the money I spent here this year.... PLEASE BE CAREFUL do not eat here habitually like I did or face the consequences - 2 times a week :( - nothing needs that much salt! And your staff should maybe begin telling your regular patrons the consequences of eating here

We went around 11am and there wasn't a line yet, but by 11:30am it started to get busier and there was a small line. The staffing, service and efficiency were on point. Our server, Kevin, was nice and took good care of us. I ordered the lox, egg & onion scramble with a side of potatoes. It seems like most people come here for lunch and, obviously, for the meat. My meal was fairly bland. I did get a side of the house green salsa and that helped. It was definitely not up to the same level as the pastrami though. I personally wouldn't come back myself, but I would go if someone I was with really wanted to come. Overall, this seems like a great place. They have their own parking lot across the street, they have their operation down to a T, and they really nail the things people come there for. I appreciate that they have alternative options, but I would try something different next time. Maybe their other scrambles or their French toast would be better.

So it's quite the coup that I finally made it on over to the Heights DABS! A slice of that 18 inch pie is on the brain today as I skip up the mini-staircase into the joint. Having just come from another not-to-be-named Pizza spot in the DTLA to NELA corridor, my hangdog face belies my energetic hoppin-pep-in-the-step into Heights, shaking off a droopy and disappointingly dry slice amidst the brain-bleeding profanity laced hate-punk screaming over that joint's speakers as I sized up the Margherita I always use as an avatar to benchmark how we dooooin' in the pizza quality and taste department no matter where I go. I confess I've been captured and SPOILED by love affairs with Greek Pizza in Boston, Deep Dish in Chicago, NYC greezy gooey goodness at 3am, and of course the ultimate seduction of sublime simplicity of the Neapolitan Pizzas of Napoli. Yes, I am a sucker for the traditional brick oven Margheritas and Bufalinas of Italia, just that simple barometer of OG greatness, minimalistic bliss. Less than 5 bucks and 10 min later, I'm ambling down said teeny stairs with a large warm white cardboard box that seems far too large for a mere SLICE. Have they made a packaging error? I was expecting a small thin wilty Dixie plate! These days, we don't wanna waste cardboard, do we? Driving off, I contemplate a spot to pull over along the Arroyo Seco to enjoy my dining behind the wheel. I just can't hold in my wondering, patience is definitely NOT a virtue when curiosity is just killing this Jazz Cat. A quick stop at a red light later, I can't hold it in any longer. FLIP. UP. THAT. LID! Daaaaaaammmnnnn! That is one MONSTROUS slice, as I slyly smile in astonishment! But my sly smile slowly segues to sadness, then semi-panicked confusion, disorientation, even! For THIS is not the Margherita one familiarly recognizes as the artistic minimalistic masterpiece a proper Neapolitan Margherita MUST BE! I am starting to get anxious, angsty, and now a bit ANGRY! what a fool I was! Instead I am misled into chow down mode to consume a Godzilla-sized molten mess of mossy dry basil haphazardly strewn about to and fro across the pie, resembling katsuo bonito flakes dancing around in the disarray of their differential dehydration! Inexplicably, jagged rows of somewhat square Roma tomatoes are lined up in lazy formations like a disorganized military company. What's more, the gooey globs of mozzarella are NOT expertly anchored down to the bed of cheese below, supposed to cling to the pie while providing just enough protruding relief like an old globe map with a mountain range rising above the horizon. Nope, they are instead here and there and almost everywhere, seemingly untethered to the matrix of cheese below, chaotically floating around like slightly rectangular glops of pale possible goodness?!!? JT, hold it together, you must attack this mess while it's still hot. Beep Beep! THE LIGHT HAS TURNED GREEN MANY SECONDS AGO! Get thee to the Arroyo! Minutes later, I'm at my perch. I bite into the unruly beast. I am pleasantly greeted by a most satisfying CRUNCH! Then a chewy tug-tremendous! Then the mass of basil flakiness flying through my mouth and down the hatch, chased by those deeeelish misshapen untethered white cubes o' cheesiness charging down my throat aside tons of tumbling tomatoes! It's an absolute avalanche of WOW! It's like there's a party in my mouth, and the most unlikely heroes showed up and showed out! Let's add the Unconventional Neapolitanical Pizzas of Lincoln Heights to the Lovefest List! Heights DABS, you've made my day. On to meet up with long lost friends converging in HP from nearby points dearly loved, I'm feelin' GRRRREEEEAT! DONE.

Brent's Deli is an institution in the San Fernando Valley, and it may just be its best. One thing…read morefor sure, the portions are generally humongous so you will never leave hungry. Nothing succeeds like excess. In fact, most people will need a take out box for one less meal to cook. Delicatessen means delicate eating in German, but at a Jewish American Delicatessen, the emphasis is on the Eating, which I am not complaining. 1) I requested an off menu item of having a Reuben sandwich where half is Corned Beef and the other Pastrami. Brent's Reuben has warm Sauerkraut, grilled Rye bread, melted Swiss Cheese, 1,000 Island dressing. Thinly sliced, multi-layered Mound of Pastrami is a bit on the dry side. Curing doesn't create a deep meaty Umami and spicing is present but attenuated. The Corned Beef is moister with bit more Umami & plush, thin multi-layered red colored meat. I have to say the Pastrami at Langer's is cured more intensely to bring out a deep Umami as well as more complex and complementary spicing of especially warm spiced cloves that adds aromatic richness. Brent's Pastrami doesn't seem to reach that kind of apotheosis. 1b) I asked for the steak fries to be fried two minutes longer for a crisper finish which was honored. Not much in way of that distinctive potato earthiness, but acceptable. 1c) Coleslaw is mayonnaise based, watery, bland, but a good cruciferous, fibrous veggie to add more fibre, healthful phytochemicals to counter the meat overload even though it isn't flavourful 2) Carrot Cake is closer to a delicate, dense, moist spice cake. A slice is enormous since it is cut from an extra tall cake studded with crushed walnuts and a cream cheese like not too sweet frosting. At $14 it could feed 4 people. Service is fine. They take your order and run with it. Bit of tunnel vision where it may be a bit hard to flag them down. But the job does get done. Overall 3+ stars
