Let me say the quality of the food has always been top notch. This poor review is for the store manager. Her massive attitude and rude behavior was unacceptable. I'm an avid walker and upon my 5 mile walk on Sunday, I stopped in the jersey mikes to place a lunch order (5 sandwiches/1 salad-tub). After paying, the cashier is placing my order in What appears as oversized lunch bags. Knowing that I have a long walk back, I asked the cashier if he can use one of the handle bags to place my order in So that I can carry at home with ease. He starts To place my order in a handle bag and the manager immediately comes over and starts telling him he can't use those. I explained that I was walking home and then it would make it easier to carry. She explained to me that handle bags are for third-party orders only and that is a store policy. I politely asked her what a third-party order was and her response was that she will not be harassed in her own store. I assured her I was not harassing her and I was simply asking her what a third-party order was. I asked for her name and she refused. I asked if I could have a managers name and she refused. I ended up calling a different jersey Mike's in Boise asking them if there was a contact for a complaint and they quickly gave me a name and email. I sent an email into that customer relations person and her response was very lackluster and full of excuses. Knowing that she informed me that this particular location was out of handle bags at the time of my visit, told me she didn't even read my email in the first place. The cashier had already placed my items in a handle bag and the manager on duty made him take everything out. sadly, I won't be visiting jersey mikes again - And not because the food doesn't taste good or isn't good quality. read more

Extremely long lines, staff didn't know what the other one was doing. Food wasn't that great, about subway quality but expensive for what it was. They have gluten-free options but when you talk to the staff it's not treated as such-they can't confirm or deny if they use different utensils and stations for the gluten free area. I saw one couple after waiting almost 30 minutes leave because of this. I have my own food allergies and the staff very clearly wasn't working sanitarily. Cutting your sandwich wiping the knife with the same towel they wipe the screen with and they don't take off their gloves when handing money or payments then they go right back to the same rag and knife right after payment. No one knew who's a switch was who's the customer has to pay attention to their own food. read more

Third time ordering lunch here and 2nd time not giving me what I paid for. Those aren't good odds if you ask me. When paying almost $60 for 3 sandwiches you would think they could at least spend the time to make them correctly. It's not like they were difficult orders. 1 sandwich was plain, meat and cheese only. I'm beyond frustrated. When calling to complain I'm told I can get a regular free sub on my next visit or a refund. I will take the refund as I don't plan coming back anytime soon. I've been going to Jersey Mike's for years. Today I went to the one in Meridian. I ordered a cheesestake with mushrooms. It was $10.60 for a regular. When I opened up my sandwich it had 3 half mushrooms inside! I brought it back and spoke to the general manager and she told me that was the portion size. I laughed what a rip off for the extra money! I couldn't even see the mushrooms in the sandwich. The cook had to pick it apart and show me the 3 little pieces but the general manager still said that was the portion. So I returned it and got a refund with no apology and best of all I received an attitude which was unprofessional for a manager to treat a customer! Hopefully corporate will see this review and retrain this rude general manager also I had to ask her name 3 times before she gave me her last name. read more

We moved to this neighborhood in August of 2022. Luckily, we discovered Jersey Mike's Subs a few days after we got into the new house. Our first interaction was with Noah, a football player from the local high school, who is just an all around cool dude. The sandwiches were perfect and he was really friendly ... so we started cruising in on a regular basis. Since then, we have also befriended Aliza, Blu and the rest of the crew ... and they're all great kids! The sandwiches are always phenomenal and remind me of the ones I used to get at Butch's Grinders in San Bernardino back in the '80s! This has definitely become the go-to spot for a quick and easy lunch or dinner ... and we stop by 3 or 4 times a week! The sandwiches are ridiculously delicious and super fresh! If you have working tastebuds, I guarantee this will be your new favorite place. Cheers! read more

I walked in for lunch one day and was treated like an infected alien for not wearing a mask upon entry, and this is after the mask recommendations had been lifted for over two weeks at this point. After asking four of the stunned employees what the problem was, one proceeded to ask if I had a mask. I responded no, and followed with the mask recommendations/mandates ended two weeks prior. Also, I'm a healthy individual who's already had Covid, overcame it naturally with my own immune system, and still possess antibodies, so I'm in no way shape or form a threat to virtually anyone. Even after all of this they still said I was required to wear a mask because it's a policy that their franchise owners instilled and they have no say in it. After realizing this, I thanked the employees knowing they have nothing to do with it, but were instructed to treat paying customers this way, and said no thank you, I'll take my business elsewhere. As I'm walking towards the door, one male employee offers to take my order outside in my car and bring it out to me. I understand he was trying to be nice, but please explain to me how being treated like an outcast or a diseased carrying contagious individual is any different from separating skin color? It's all black and white, mask and non-mask, vaccinated and non-vaccinated, etc. Explain to me why you're trying to segregate your own customers, which in turn causes you to lose customers, hence why most businesses stay clear of anything political or religion based because it decreases the amount of consumers that bring their business. If you try to tell me this is for safety measures or guidelines, it's not true because mask recommendations were lifted as I said, cases were drastically down, and I've already had the virus and still contain antibodies. So this is primarily a personal choice based on personal beliefs at this point. This has nothing to do with safety, guidelines, or mandates. I respectfully declined, reiterating to the young man how absurd it was that you won't take my contactless order inside, but you'll be willing to do it outside away from public view, like we're doing something illegal? No thanks, I'll take my business elsewhere. I've lived in SoCal, Dallas, Vegas, St. Louis, and now Idaho and I've NEVER in my life been treated in such a way. I used to go to jersey mikes and Jimmy John's frequently in all of those places, but as of that moment, I've been boycotting Jersey Mike's along with all of my friends and family who I've shared the story with and all think it's wrong, regardless of what your political/health stance is on the matter. I'd give this place zero stars if I could. I hope the owners read this review and think twice about forcing their customers to choose sides because you'll be losing out on a lot of business in a red state such as this. Especially in Meridian. There's a reason that this Meridian location has such a low rating and everyone complains about the employees being rude. This was my 3rd time being here since they opened (a few weeks ago at this point) and it's been a joke every single time. Extremely slow service, rude employees, and sorry attempts at "justifying" their employees lack of customer service skills. Today I went earlier and waited 10 min before I was even acknowledged (which is the same as the other 2 times I have been to this location). Just for the lovely little blonde who puts the toppings on to treat me horribly. Glad she thinks she's above everyone with her slow, subpar sandwich making job. After her 3rd condescending remark I told her she could keep her poorly made sandwich, that I'm glad her minimum paying job gave her the security to treat people so horribly and I walked out. I refuse to give service to anyone who can treat customers like that. Do yourself a favor and go across the street to Gandolfo's deli. (Or to any of the MANY amazing great choices surrounding it) You might be a new location but that shouldn't be your justification for your lack of service, lack of knowledge of your job, and your apparent problem with being rude to your customers. read more

These subs rock! Great food and great service. Without a doubt, this is the best sub place around. I don't mind paying a little more for quality food that taste good and doesn't make you feel terrible after you eat it. The bread is so soft and the deli meat is fresh and tender. Typically go out of my way for Jersey Mike's. This location has me thinking twice. Service up to now has been top notch with any Jersey Mikes I have gone to. The stand out is that person who first greets you, has always been fresh and bright, ready to get your sandwich right, but woah the attitude I got from that person yesterday. A true deviation from taking an order, felt the need to explain how they don't do that here when all I wanted to say was 2 Italians on Gluten free bread. I even tried to stop them and asked why they were not listening, to which they said again we don't do it that way here (meaning they do toppings and such at the next stage) finally I got the word out about gluten free bread to which they finally paused realizing "hey this is the bread station". I can't describe the spectrum of personality this person revealed within moments, while not listening to the customer. Visibly other employees saw the conduct of their coworker, and had eyes on them for their flagrant conduct. I get it, it's a fast food joint these are not professional jobs and not paid well. I sure paid a hefty sum in being disrespected as a customer and paying excessively financially for sandwiches. Ya, think twice before going to this location. Watch out for a childish clown behind counter, the one Jersey Mikes has always been careful to not allow to work there, they are the kind that will mess with your food. read more

The previous 3 visits the food was quite good. The last visit the food was slmost inedible. The bread was stale, the crust was dry and hard. The crew consisted of inhospitable employees seemingly only interesting in going through the motions as quickly as possible. Ordered one sandwich on the app. They said it would be ready at 1:11 pm. Server said "we're still making your sandwich when I arrived at 1:11. I see that they're busy, but they are not making my sandwich. They're making sanwiches for the 40 people in line. After 10 minutes I asked, "doesn't ordering in the app mean you skip the line?" The woman said "we just had a $1600.00 hour and we always make sandwiches for guests in the store first." I'm thinking, wait...I'm in the store, and I ordered before every person here and I have to wait for all of them? Once 15 mins passed, the line cleared out and they were serving new people coming in the store, BUT THEY STILL WOULD'NT MAKE MY SANDWICH. Had I known I was second class to Jersey Mike's I'd never had used there app and when I walked in, I'd have gotten in line behind all of the people in line because when I left at 1:32, with no sandwich, everyone in the store for those 20+ minutes were walking out with food. I said I will dispute the charge with my bank. NO ONE WOULD MAKE ME A SANDWICH!! My order was placed in the app at 12:56 pm 5/20/23. The amount to be refunded for never receiving the food is $13.34 including tip. This is your notice. I'm calling my bank now to dispute the charge. If you were too busy to make the order, update the people whose food will not be made before they make the trip to your store. Last night was our 9th visit to this new store since it opened a short time ago. Every single time, we have had the worst possible customer service. I'm not entirely sure why we keep returning for the 'abuse'... ugh. Last night we experienced the only sandwich-making line employee continue what was clearly a personal convo for at the very least, 6-7 minutes while we waited to order. The other employee, (wearing a low visor over his long hair that covered his entire face) there immediately turned his back on us when we walked in and pretended to be doing something on the grill. We were the only two customers in the store at that moment so it would have been pretty easy to acknowledge us and be nice. The dining room is closed again and a solid row of chairs is pushed up against the order window line so that customers now have to semi-yell their orders to the sandwich maker. We were told that the reason for the closed dining room was that "we've had a ton of complaints from guests who were in the order line, that the people eating their meals at the tables do not have a mask on." Yup, imagine NOT WEARING A MASK WHILE ACTUALLY EATING ~ gasp!! Our one 8" sandwich order was ready after no less than 15 minutes... the sandwich maker begrudgingly slammed the meats into the slicer, rolled his eyes when I asked for condiments on the side, and angrily tossed the sandwich into a paper bag, and walked away without saying another word. The cashier couldn't have cared less that we were there either and definitely acted as if we were inconveniencing her. Avoid this place. ordered a hot sandwich and after waiting 40 min, finally asked for the manager. She blamed me for the lost ticket. I had already asked 2 employees but she told me I didn't check with her. Finally got my sandwich after 49 minutes. never once got an apology, she blamed me for asking a new hire instead of her. They have good food but the staff is highly incompetent. If you go in make sure you watch that your ticket gets placed correctly, apparently that's the customer's responsibility. read more

Slow and disorganized. The food is good. It took 19 minutes to get 6 sandwiches. There were ZERO customers when we walked in and during our 19 minutes 3 take-out orders were picked up. Other customers were not the reason they were slow. The first few minutes were spent waiting for the staff to finish talking to each other. They were out of one type of beef (they use two), not a big deal, we just needed to change one order - but the question 'Which sandwiches can you make with the beef that you have?' resulted in complete confusion. The last 7 minutes were spent waiting for one distracted employee and an attempt to send us out with 5 of 6 sandwiches. It is management and the strictly-linear/every-employee-waiting-for-every-other-employee production method that is to blame for the glacial pace. It should not take 3 minutes each for 5 employees to make a sandwich. Granted, I was raised on Bay Area Togo's speed, which only Jimmy John's can match (on a good day), but I've gotten used Subway/Firehouse speeds. This was Whichwich/inevitable store closure speed. The area manager (possibly owner, the one perplexed by the 'what can you make...' question) may attempt to dispute this summary of events, but anyone who knows me will tell you that there's not enough money in the world to get me to make a false statement. read more

Let me start off by saying that I am a huge Jersey Mike's fan. I've always loved their subs, and it has always been consistent regardless of location. I remember chatting with the manager at a different store about how awesome their food is. And his reply was that it all comes down to good training and making sure your team knows exactly how much of each item to put on a sub even down to how many shakes of "the juice". We tried this Meridian location (ordered on the app) and our kids each got ONE slice of meat on their sandwiches. The meat is sliced thin which is one of the things that makes their sandwiches delicious, but one slice even for a child just doesn't suffice. read more
