This is kind of a weird J Mikes store....unless they've all changed. Very limited toppings at the counter. If you want green bell peppers/ black olives, etc you have to ask for them and they go get them out of sight. No black pepper available when preparing ???? Wth? .. how hard is that to offer to do that when they do offer salt/oregano, etc? I don't get it. A giant #13 is up to $16 (with tax) now. Getting hard to justify the prices over a $9 footlong Subway since they now have capicola also. read more

These folks here at Jerseys Mikes are the best! You can rely on them for last minute orders when PennStation fails you. Their customer service when I've had to pickup orders has been phenomenal. They have always loaded my orders whereas other places I have been stuck lugging heavy boxes and bags. While ordering a sandwich, I notice that a very tall worker on the line is wearing only one plastic glove. With his unloved hand he wipes his nose then touched the top of his head. He then proceeds to make my sandwich. I stop him and ask him to wash his hands and out on gloves before touching my food. He asks "why"(!!!) and I say I watched what he did with the ungloved hand. Another worker steps in and actually says "it's ok, he only uses his gloved hand to make the sandwich!!" At this point the tall one glove guy gets angry, rips off the one glove, and goes to the back. But not to wash his hands. Another employee makes my sandwich. I ask for the manager. There doesn't seem to be one. I assure the guy who finished my order they I would report this to the Health Department and to Jersey Mike management. I put the complaint on the JM website. No response. No way would I ever walk in there again. read more

Have ordered 3 sandwiches in the past 2 weeks form this Jersey Mikes location. 1 through the App for delivery and 2x in store. Normally a big fan of JM's. All of my recent experiences have disappointed, due to the value the sandwich has failed to provide. One could joke that they are specializing in Bread Sandwiches at this location these days. Normally, a JM's sub, sliced in front of you is piled high with meats and cheese justifying the $8, $11, & $17 price points for their mini, regular, or giant sandwich. Recently, the amount of meat to the sandwich is noticeably shy of normal portioning. Thin, scarce slices of all ingredients except vegetables and condiments have left me underwhelmed with the value in each of my past 3 experiences. Comparatively, other JM's stores in other areas of town continue to portion on the meats impressively justifying the steeper prices. This location has disappointed recently and has not recently provided the value expected with their very conservative sandwich builds. I would recommend visiting a different location. read more

The food here is always fresh and good. You need to get your sub "Mike's Way". Many years ago my little brother was going to high school and he called me and told me about this great sub shop and how I just had to try it. I was living in NJ at the time in Point Pleasant Beach. Stopped in today after church around 2pm. Ordered a giant club supreme. I have not had a jersey mikes sub in months, actually prob over a year. I wanted to splurge instead of my usual $5 ft long from Subway. I was very disappointed with the amount of meat I got. This sub comes with turkey and roast beef, there was hardly any of the sandwich! What happened to the old jersey mikes of old :-( VERY DISAPPOINTED and will never be back to this location ever, might try later down the road somewhere else but for $12 I expect more. read more

The new staff and management of this store not only redid the interior, they overhauled the craftsmanship of the sandwiches. The food here is very fresh and they hustle. My favorite is #17 (Jersey Mike's Famous Philly with cheese. It's always grilled to perfection (under the new owners anyways). My other go-to is the #8 with turkey, ham and....Bacon! Oh yeah. The food is Jersey Mikes which I love love love. But here's the problem, I think these are franchises if I am not mistaken. So given that each one is run differently, I get there will be differences. But what disappointsments is this one is way not as good as the others. Their prices are $1-2 higher then the other Jersey Mikes I go to and the subs are no where near made the same. I've eaten at other Jersey Mike's and enjoyed the freshness of the subs and the friendly service so my expectation was the same when i entered this location. I was the only customer and was served immediately. good! when the person who took my order went in the back to prepare it, i started looking around the store.. I should have ran! The place is filthy. the floors are dirty, the booths.. etc. Tiles are missing off the floor. Dirt on the walls and cash register .. which caused me to glance towards the back wondering how clean it was back there.. and no kidding.. it wasn't! the trays where they stack the bread looked dirty. Something looked like it fell off the wall above the table where they prepare the food... i know that because there's a clean spot where it was and there are anchors still in the wall... I took my sandwich anyway and ate it.. i know.. crazy! i lived to tell this tale. :) I always ask myself, would i eat here again? NO! My hope is that they work on the cleanliness and save their store 'cause by the looks of it.. their business is dropping off. sad.. I love Jersey Mike's. Of the sub sandwich chains, they are certainly the best. This location is in my 'hood, so it's the one I usually end up frequenting when I need my Italian, Club, or Cancro Special fix. This location has changed hands and management several times over the four years I've been stopping in. Despite that, the food has always been up to Jersey Mike's standards and the service has always been quick and friendly. No, like Lou J. said, they aren't quite as personable here as the location in 100 Oaks, but I don't drive the extra distance. read more

I've been told by friends more times than I can remember that if I want a good sub sandwich to skip Subway and try Jersey Mike's. It took me awhile but I did it! I can't believe I've been missing out all these years. All the meat is fresh and cut deli style right at the counter and they don't skimp either! You get to choose your toppings and sometimes I'm left wondering how they're going to close that sandwich with it piled so high like that but they always seem to manage! I've since been here a few times and it's always clean inside. The employees have always been helpful besides one time when the cashier was trying to over charge on each individual meal we ordered. She was new and I had to correct her in pricing but that can really happen anywhere. Other than that, food is always good (waaay better than Subway) and for sure get your cold sub "Mike's Way". Being a Jersey boy I stopped in to get some familiar lunch. It was late afternoon and I was the only one in the restaurant. A young lady came from the back and took my order a few seconds after I walked in. I went for the standard buffalo chicken wrap and she quickly put it together for me, and even hooked me up with extra chicken. She must have noticed the Jersey in me.
