II don't know what has happened to this place, but it has gone downhill. For some reason, they can't seem to make the sandwiches correctly according to their own menu. Today was the fourth time in a short period of time that they made my chipotle turkey sandwich incorrectly right in front of me. When I asked to have chipotle mayo, the person making the sandwich looked completely confused. After a discussion about the sandwich and I pointed to their own menu board, I got the chipotle mayo and turkey on bread... that's it. No lettuce, no tomato, nothing else. And that was after a discussion about the cheese that does not come with the sandwich. I did not want cheese and the sandwich maker kept insisting that I have cheese because it comes with the sandwich according to the Jersey Mike's employee. I again referred them to the sandwich board which describes the sandwich without cheese. After several minutes, I ended up with a completely mangled sandwich that had way too much mayonnaise on it. Also, the Jersey Mike's employee was rude. Last time I had a problem, I ended up with a sandwich with dry bread and turkey and nothing else on it. Unfortunately, I took it to go and did not find out until I got to my destination. I ended up calling the manager who was quite nice and explained that there are several new employees that need training. It can't be very hard to train in employee how to put 4 ingredients on a sandwich. If they cannot make the sandwiches correctly, a question why they are working there. It's a pretty simple job. There must be somebody that can do it better. read more

south lake ave basically has had the same restaurants since i started working here over a year ago. fortunately jersey mike's came into the picture. for the first week the line was out the door. i'm pretty sure everyone in the area was equally as excited. i finally ventured over a few weeks later when the line wasn't insane. i ordered a regular veggie on wheat. holy smokes. a regular i assumed would be like half the sandwich i got. it's jampacked with cheese, veggies and etc. the cheese is sliced in front of you as is all the meat you want. they give you very very large servings. had to go with the oil and vinegar. it helped make the sandwich 100 times better. it took me two separate meals to finish a regular and i'm a pretty healthy eater. this thing was delicious. the bread is crunchy and just tasty. read more

The food is fine but they blast their music to point where it's impossible to have a conversation with your friends or family. I saw this place on travel channel and one finally opened up near me. I was so excited and I finally had a chance to give it a try. I got the Philly cheesesteak in the regular size, with a drink and baked lays. It was a bit pricey compared to subway, it came out to $11ish. The taste, however, you can't even compare to subway. It was the most amazing Philly cheesesteak sandwich i have ever had in my life. Every bite was a new adventure for my taste buds! It was as good as it looked on tv. I was wary of coming here, because it looked like any other chain sandwich place which in my mind means mediocre. I was pleasantly surprised to find the staff to be knowledgeable and very helpful. I ordered a Mini sized turkey and cheese sandwich ( cannot remember the number hat corresponds with said sandwich). The part i like the most is they slice the meat fresh every time they make a sandwich. I can be pretty particular about sandwich meet and this was right up there with the best of them. So, here's the skinny on Jersey Mike's Subs. If you're a true sandwich lover, then Jersey Mike's delicious creations will not disappoint you. They really know how to pile on the goodies here, and whether you like your sub hot or cold, you're sure to be pleased. However, I offer this one caveat. Be prepared to pay for your delectable treat! These sandwiches don't come cheap yelpers, with a regular sub coming in at just about 8 bucks with tax. Add a drink and chips to that and you're looking at around 11 or 12 depending on accouterments. They do offer a card whereby if you order so many subs you get the next one free. But, you have to order 12 subs before you get to take advantage of this...perk. Bottom line, save your pennies for a rainy day and when that day comes, head down to Jersey Mikes. Go there too often however, and it won't be the cholesterol that shocks your heart, but your bank statement. read more

The JM's in Burbank is so delicious. It's like eating little fluffy clouds of deliciousness. Good sandwiches though, mikes way. I come here 3-4 times a month usually on Mondays or Tuesdays since it's double points! (Sign up for a FREE rewards card and every time you make a purchase you get a point, after a certain amount of points you get a free sub!) any who the people who work here and not only professional but friendly, which is hard to find at a "fast food" establishment. One of the girls who works there is also pretty cute, any who the ingredients are always fresh, the price is usually a dollar or so more than subway so I now come here for my sub needs. This location just lost me as a customer after years. I get tuna in a tub with tomatoes (nothing else), my go-to lunch 2-3 times a week at various JM locations. Today the amount of tuna here was feeble and I asked for a little more -- something I've never once asked or even considered asking for before. The duo behind the counter proceeded to WEIGH it and then told me I was already over the std ounce limit and that I would need to pay more if I wanted more. I mean... I'm not even using their darn bread! Jersey Mike's, my favorite sandwich place between Pasadena, Monrovia and Upland I eat at about 2-3 times a week depending where I'm at. At the 122 S. Lake location I had a couple of run ins with an assistant manager named Desaree making this the 3rd! 1st and 2nd second time she gave me a hard time because I had $1.00 off coupon from another store (Monrovia), and basically argued with me stating she could not take the coupon. On every receipt they give you $1.00 off anyways if you come back with your receipt, which I'm seen there at that location several times, but hey sometimes you lose them, so what can you do! Both times another employee and manager acknowledged the coupon giving me $1.00 off as well other stores without me having to speak with a manager. However it happened again and I feel like she waited anxiously for me to get to the register. Before she can ring me up I immediately asked for a manager due to her lack of Customer Service. She then asked for the coupon and laughed and said "How about I show the general manager", as if I was going to a reply "NO" from the GM. As I waited I can tell the GM advised her to give me the discount but she hoped he would not. Now generally I don't write reviews unless I had a bad experience which apparently 1 too many times at this location. It's the (Principal) that Desaree needs to understand when it comes to Customer Service especially if she uplands on to own her own franchise. Serving that kind of Customer Service will lead to her franchise closing down. Remember this as I am a manager myself and I go to stores and audit their Customer Service as a side job. There is always room for growth, listen, learn, and take constructive criticism and use it to your advantage. Consumers are the people who gives us our job. Don't run them away. Im confused as to why I havent written Jersey Mikes a review yet, seeing as Im here every week since I work down the street. My favorite thing to get is the Tuna sandwich, Mikes way. Its a pretty straight forward way sandwich, with delicious tuna and salad, tomato, onions, and for me jalepenos. My husband likes to get Club Supreme, Mikes Way and with extra vinegar. It has rare roast beef, turkey, provolone, bacon, lettuce, tomato and other goodies. Mikes way is with olive oil, vinegar and some other secret stuff they wont tell me. Most of their sandwiches are in mini, which is about 6 inches, regular, 12 inches or giant, which is 15 or 16 inches (Think a footlong and a half from subway). Everything is made fresh on the premises and you get the option of white or wheat bread. I LOVE their bread. Crispy outside and soft inside... omg. My mouth is literally starting to water. I wish I could eat carbs all day. ANYWAY, the employees are nice here but when its busy they get down to business and get you in and out. they have free parking in the back so take advantage of it! (The food aint cheap) There are two ways to get there, you can go to Green street (one way street south of Colorado) and then take the next right at the light and then take the next right down a small alley which curves to the left, then Jersey Mikes parking will be on your right. Or you can take Cordova (two streets south of Colorado), go south down Lake, make a left onto Cordova and left onto the first little street right behind the bank. The parking will be on your left. So yes! Come try Jersey Mikes! Its delicious! read more

The number five "The Super Sub" provolone cheese, ham, prosciuttini and cappacuolo served Mike's Way on a white submarine roll and the number six "Famous Roast Beef and Provolone" cooked on premises using only certified Angus USDA choice top rounds - the best there is! served Mike's Way on a white submarine roll. Yeah, I clearly don't get it. After talking to someone in an elevator who raved about it, my husband and I wanted to try something new and came here. First problem is parking. You are trapped parking in the same lot as the Counter, in Shoppers Lane. So what we thought would be a quick trip ended up taking over 1/2 hour and resulting in a parking fee. Load of dung. That annoyance alone did not bode well. The table and chair set up is clearly not designed with a line in mind; the line kinda wrapped around as best it could. The space is rather small. Quite frankly, this place looks the same as a Subway, Togos, Quiznos, or other such sandwich place. Difference being they slice the meat to order, but I feel that's rather minor. They also don't tell you bread options, leaving first timers to guess (white or wheat). It is also more expensive than most other sandwich joints. I ordered a pastrami, which took awhile to get as I assumed it was getting cooked somewhere. My husband got a buffalo chicken wrap (also cooked). We went home because there was nowhere to sit. My sandwich was good, though too bready for my liking, but I have that problem at other sandwich places as well. My husband on the other hand, um, ended up with a pile, because it wasn't wrapped properly, and there was a partial cut in the bread. Had it been fully cut in half, it would have been fine, but he discovered the hole a bit late. He swears to not come back. I would try another location with better parking. read more

A friend recommended this place for lunch. We got there before the lunch rush so that was a plus. I ordered the pastrami Ruben chips and a drink. I was not impressed with the sub. I was actually disappointed. The cold subs looked a lot better. People were friendly and looks like the cold subs all the meat is sliced when you order it. I am a Jersey Mike's fan and managed to convince my co-workers to order a catering box for our "farewell" lunch get-together for one of our staff going on maternity leave. So we placed the order online and I went off to pick it up, excited that they would finally taste my favorite subs. However.... we didn't get exactly what we ordered. One sandwich was missing (the sandwich our CFO wanted - YIKES!!!) No avocados when we wanted avocados on all, hit and miss on the bacon, and tomatoes on ALL sandwiches when we specifically ordered one of the sandwiches to be tomato-less because one of our staff is allergic (didn't know that was a thing, but I guess so). Needless to say, there were a lot of disappointed faces and the general consensus was never to order from Jersey Mike's again. This is where the 5 star rating comes in. I called and complained about the order and received a call back from the manager - Mervyn (sorry if I misspelled your name). He was very polite and apologetic and I really appreciate the timely response and effort he made to make up for the mistakes. And yes, we will be ordering again. read more

Love this place for the great subs and incredibly polite and helpful employees. There meat, veggies and cheese are fresh and you can taste the difference compared to subway and quizn. Plus its a lot cleaner in there! I order there Chipotle Turkey sandwich. Be sure they use there seasoning and dressings which is super flavorful and the sizes are out of this world huge!!! You can order a full size which will last you 3-4 meal's have great hot subs too! You need to try this place if you haven't!!! read more
