I've been stewing over this place for some time. This was our go to place for a sandwich since they opened. However, we will never go back. We went for lunch and there were no customers in the place. They did have several pick up orders they were working on. NO ONE said anything to us. We walked over to the person slicing the meats and cheese and he NEVER looked up. We were right across from him and he completely ignored us. The other employees would look our way and then quickly looked away. I went in to this store today for the first time in a while. Was extremely disappointed with the cleanliness of the food prep area. I asked if George was here, as in the past he has always maintained an immaculate store. I learned that George had suddenly resigned, not sure how long ago. Very sad that things were not up to par. Been to a lot of jersey mikes subs, cuz food is great , but this 1 at vineyard and foothill, the crew is good. Has great Customer service and quick. The tall guy man , he hustling , and knows how to delegate orders , he must be the manager, and that kid , his on point, it got bz n it didn't even phase him.. wish other kids would still have these kind of work ethics. And there was another young lady that was on her break and looks like a student cuz she had her laptop out , she was still helping customers as she was on break. I love this jersey Mike's. I am an avid JM visitor and I always have friendly and quick service at this location. They put an amazing amount of meat on the sandwiches too!! That's a whole star in itself, sometimes sam which places can get skimpy! The only down side is that the location is small, so when it gets crowded at packed. However all JM's are like this. Oh and when asked to get the free cookie from the Yelp check in some look at me like they have no idea what I'm talking about. However, I always get that yummy free cookie!! This review comes after my second pretty bad experience. After the first bad experience, which, honestly was much worse than the second one I just had, I decided maybe it was a bad day at that location. However, now that I think about it, I have never had an actual pleasant experience there. The food is not that bad, but their attitudes sure are. Both times the worst of the attitude and bad customer service came from a gentleman (obviously using the term loosely) that was taller than average and a bigger build. I hope to God he is not the manager, but makes no difference, there is another one only about a mile further than this one, going to try that one out and see if they are at least 1% better than this location. I'm always at the Jersey Mike's by my work (in Monrovia) and I feel like that's the main one I go to. However, when I'm at home, my husband and I will feel like Jersey Mike's every once in a while and we go to the one in Upland off 19th Street because they have a lot of outdoor seating. Sometimes we have our dog(s) with us. Anyway, we were in the area and stopped at the one on Foothill Blvd. They are on the northwest corner of Foothill and Carnelian in the same plaza as Haggen's and Panda Express. We shared a Giant #7 (Turkey Breast & Provolone on wheat). The one thing I have to point out was the customer service. I didn't catch their names, but there was one male and one female employee that were just great. Compared to the customer service from the Upland location, the Rancho Cucamonga location blows them away. Other than the #7, my ultimate favorite is the #8 Club Sub (Turkey, ham, provolone, bacon, mayo.. Mike's Way) But that's on an "indulge day". I walked in around 7pm on a Monday evening. The restaurant only had 3 people sitting in the dining area. I wasn't spoken to for five minutes not a hello. Nothing. I patiently waited and when I finally was acknowledged by the two boys working they were both incredibly rude and barely asked any questions as they slammed my sandwich together. I'm a huge fan of Jimmy John's, but given that the Inland Empire doesn't have one, I figured that I'd give Jersey Mike's a try. What a big mistake! I went with a regular sized Original Italian prepared Mike's Way. Although the service at this particular location was very friendly (which explains why I'm giving two stars), my sandwich was terrible; it was so drenched in vinegar that I couldn't eat it. I'm a fat kid trapped in a handsome man's body, so it's very unusual for me to throw-away food. My Original Italian sandwich was one of the few exceptions. Unless you have some sort of weird vinegar fetish, I recommend that you ask your sandwich maker to either hold or go easy on the vinegar. read more

I went to the Upland location on Campus once and it was so-so regarding the sandwich I got. I came to this location and wanted to try the Chiptle sandwich this time, which I was told was good. It was better then the last hot sub I got at the other place. That Chipotle mayonnaise they use makes a difference in flavor! Normally, Jersey Mike's hot subs give you a choice of steak or chicken, but I think turkey has better flavor and they'll probably be able to make an hot sub using that kind of meat upon request. One of the sandwiches came with sauerkraut, which I know is some kind of pickled cabbage, but I asked the girl there just to make sure. She flat out said she didn't even know herself, but showed us what it looked like, which I already know what it looks like. Uhm, train your employees to know what the ingredients are people! That was probably the ONLY ingredient in the whole place that some people may not know. Today was the worst experience I've ever had at a Jersey Mikes!! They weren't even busy, yet the service was horrible. The guys who were working today at 12:30 pm had terrible attitudes and didn't even make my order correctly. First, they didn't even start my order till I was checking out. I ordered a Chicken bacon ranch on wheat. They put it on white bread and left out the bacon. Then, they wrapped it and threw it in the bag without asking me what I wanted on it. Fresh sandwiches! That's what you'll get at Jersey Mike's! I ordered a turkey sandwich with provolone cheese, on wheat bread, done "Mike's Way" (minus tomatoes and onions). The bread was soft and fresh. (I'm surprised it wasn't squished when it was sliced.) The turkey meat and the provolone cheese was sliced before my eyes. I don't know what it is about freshly sliced lunch meat & freshly sliced cheese that makes it SO MUCH BETTER than the presliced stuff! "Mike's Way" includes shredded lettuce, sliced tomatoes & onions, olive oil, red wine vinegar, and some delicious spices sprinkled on top. I live in a senior community at 16th and Archibald and this is our favorite Jersey Mike's :-) the staff here is very friendly very efficient and I really like their manager George he is very nice and helpful. I love the California club sandwich the roast beef sandwich the Italian sub oh there's too many great ones to mention LOL we've never had a bad meal from there. And if you like the hot sandwich I highly recommend the Philly cheese steak sandwich yummy We have a group that plays cards and we run down and pick dinner up a lot and we have never been disappointed. I have come here twice, and I like the size choices for the sandwiches. The menu is a lot more limited than Subway, and I wish they had as many ingredients available as Subway does. However, I do like that they slice the cheese and meats in front of you, and they do taste a lot more fresh than anywhere else. Service is good if the girl with the reddish hair is helping you, as well as the tall, dark haired guy. They're both upbeat and nice. Ordered from the app tonight for curbside pickup. Arrived at the restaurant and checked in. The app said I was 1 minute early and that they were working on my order. I sat in the parking lot for ten minutes with no further updates. I finally went inside to the pick up counter and was completely ignored. There were two boys working the counter and another one sitting in the back eating. After a couple minutes of being ignored I said, " I am here to pickup my curbside order that is over 10 minutes late". The little snot closest to me said, "Name?" He handed my order to me (that was done and sitting on the counter behind him. I said sarcastically, "Thank you for acknowledging me when I came in" he said, "Have a nice day". Seriously! The sandwich was fine...they actually followed instructions and cut the sandwich into thirds this time. Why offer curbside if the snots that work for you aren't going to provide the service. Friendly staff, excellent sandwiches. Jersey Mike's is definitely the best sandwich chain out there IMO. You don't get the large selection of veggie-options like you do at Subway, but the quality at Jersey Mike's is so much better I'm willing to forego the additional choices. IMO the best sandwich in the inland empire is the "torpedo sub" from Guiseppe's in north Upland, but Jersey Mike's is honestly not that far below it, which is surprising for a chain. This location gets 2 stars, if it wasn't for how fresh their sandwich was I wouldn't even give them 1. At 6:15 they have run out of bread and fresh bread they said will not be ready for another 1 and 40 minutes. Now if this had been a one time thing I be a little upset but I'd assume they were just real busy. This same incident has happened to me 3 other times at this location which makes me draw the conclusion that they don't follow procedures that I'm sure the company has put in place to avoid this misstep. Two girls were working and were rude and sloppy. They were not pleasant nor professional. They would not stop talking long enough to hear the orders and they weren't busy. As soon as I walked in, no one greeted us, and I asked where the line started only to be given an "I'm busy" glare with the employee shoving past me with no answer. The preppers behind the counter were also rushing us along despite the fact there was only one person behind us in line. Sandwiches were same if not very similar to Subway but more overpriced. Meat was dry and rubbery like any other sandwich shop. For 2 small size subs, 2 chips and drinks came out to over $20. BF took a bite and was not impressed.
